Wait, is Carole accusing Bethany of hitting on Adam? Because that’s out of the blue.

B wanting to spend time with Carol's boy toy still makes much more sense than him being the first person she thought of when she needed a photographer. But I say that as someone who is too lazy to google his photography background. Also don't think Beth is physically attracted to Dennis.

Whatever you do, don’t watch Game of Thrones!

Ha! I ended up losing interest after they killed Sean Bean and never really got back into it. Probably for the best. =P

Why are you calling this person a perv? The actor is an adult, and the point of the scene was to convey how mechanical sex is with his wife versus June. I don’t see how that’s worthy of someone being labeled a perv. You couldn’t see anything except a back and two arms.

Because gratuitous sex and/or rape scenes don't manifest themselves into existence. They're usually built to cater to someone in power behind the scenes personal sensibilities. Actresses have spoken on this reality, and that's immediately what my mind drifted to as I was watching.

The scene just felt out of place to me. *shrug*

The dynamics between Nick and Eden were portrayed in a way that more than conveyed what the reality of their sex life would be. It couldn't have been made any clearer, especially once they brought out the sheet with a hole in it. Plus, we already saw how he was with June that first time..,

If the scene made you uncomfortable, it wasn’t gratuitous. If the scene has us talking about it’s deeper meaning, it wasn’t gratuitous. I do get that you didn’t like it and didn’t wish to see it, but that doesn’t make it gratuitous.

    Ehhh.

The scene between Nick and Eden didn't make me feel uncomfortable in anything close to a meaningful way. It made me roll my eyes and wonder which perv behind the scenes was exploiting what started out as a thoughtfully executed show.

Continuing the scene after Nick climbed into bed added nothing (in my opinion).

Not sure how else to phrase this, but ... this show is literally about the total subjugation of women of all ages, including sexually. Not showing these kinds of scenes (which they obviously take great care with) kind of defeats the purpose. It's been pretty obvious from the pilot onwards what kind of story they were telling, and how they were going to tell it. If it was easy to watch, it would be some other show.

We'll have to agree to disagree. The 'ceremony' scenes were absolutely relevant to the story being told, but the scene with Nick and Eden and even the sex scene between June and Nick during June's escape felt completely unnecessary.

We saw nothing.  She was covered neck to toe in a sheet.  We saw Nick's reluctance, and a heard a grunt at the end.  No other sex was even shown, just his face, and then her's after.

60 seconds straight of a man thrusting into an actress portraying a child isn't 'we saw nothing'.

One of the things that bothered me about the Nick/Eden sex scene (beyond the carefully embroidered hole sheet - ick) is that the "ok, let's get to it" nature of the sex (no foreplay) would be awfully uncomfortable for Eden, especially as a virgin.  Yet she was all smiles, which seemed genuine, not forced.

I hate that the scene was even included and it made me question whether I wanted to continue watching the show. The way the episode ended pulled me right back in... but I wont last much longer of they keep using the show as a vehicle to push gratuitous sex scenes onto actresses/viewers.

I wonder how Richard Blaise feels about Stephanie Izzard becoming an Iron Chef,

I never in a million years would have imagined Richard ending up where he is now ... wearing the clothes he's wearing now.... *confused face* He's doing really well and I like him ... it's just not at all what I expected.

    Awwww....

Ehh.... Fabio's wife is shockingly ugly/unattractive and both of their instagram accounts give me hardcore secondhand embarrassment.

Did anyone else catch Fabio's assertion that Trump 'has done more for african-americans than any other president'? I don't understand why he thinks Instagram is the platform for things like that when people likely only follow him for pictures of food/selfies. It actually occurred to me that he might be trolling for attention to help promote that doppelganger crap he's been pushing.

why is bethenny even on the show? for real. most of the ladies who do the show are in the upper-middle to upper-class range when starting, for sure, but we're talking like, high-5 figures/low-6 figures annually, pre-show, higher-6 figures after a couple years of doing the show and maybe even low-7 figures after doing the show a while, if they bring the drama. my point being, for most of these ladies, doing the show enhances their financial freedom, they can afford more with the money they make from the show, it's a game-changer for them. but that money is pennies to Bethenny, who made $100M when she sold skinnygirl. I mean, that's more $ than anyone could ever know wtf to do with. You can divide that income by 100 and you're still in the top 1%. That high-6/low-7 figure paycheck she gets from Bravo $ is pennies to her, she wouldn't miss that $ if it was gone, it wouldn't even make a dent, with the $ she's got. So why the hell is she even here? Is she like, lonely or something? Does she need more attention? Maybe needs something to do? I just don't get it, it's odd, to me.

Bethenny is still working to earn her payouts from the Skinnygirl sale. She and her business partner David Kanbar appear to have received $39M upfront for the sale of SkinnyGirl, but the rest is only paid out in increments if Skinnygirl meets certain sales goals each year.

Skinnygirl cocktail sales fell 26% in 2013 and Jim Beam was counting on exposure from Bethenny's talk show to turn things around. Once B's talk show was cancelled, returning to RHONY became one of the few ways she could promote the brand and hopefully use that exposure to boost sales back up enough to ensure her payouts continued.

If you take Bethenny's lifestyle and cost of living into consideration... plus taxes, legal/divorce expenses, the fact that she had/has to split proceeds from the sale of her business with her business partner and managers ...  I'd say she needs the show almost as much as the other women do if she wants to maintain what she has now.
