I've noticed Jenna spends a lot of time with the family. She's done and is scheduled to do teaching with Val and the DWM studios and while she was in NY before the wedding for her fitting, she went to the movies with the C parents. Peta has never done a thing for DWM and she and Mama C appear to keep each other at arm's length. Plus the fact that Maks seems to have removed himself a lot from the business and spends pretty much all his time out in LA alone with Peta and the baby and not really interacting with the family much back in NY makes me think the fam is a lot more fond of Jenna than they are of Peta.

Maks and Peta  are selling their NJ home. Notice 4 dwts trophies on the fireplace mantel

I think the best way DWTS could avoid another Bobby situation, is for the judges to have most of the say when it comes to the semi-finals and finale portion of the show. Like an 80/20 percentage, perhaps.

But judges don’t want to use their power. They didn’t have to give Bobby 8s and 10s. If only judges were willing to do their job separating contenders from pretenders.

Yeah, that's the thing. I doubt most regular at home viewers know which pros were world champions and which weren't and I doubt they care.

It’s true average viewers don’t care. However, the quality of pros impact the level of dance and choreography. The quality of dance, nowadays, is so poor Bobby Bones can get 10s. Using shadow choreographers is one of the reasons we don’t see as much rehearsal footages as we’re used too. So yeah great pros make great show.

And I’m not  suggesting to bring back the OGs because they’re old/burned out/moved on. Deena can recruit new blood by going to competitions instead of watching sytycd from her couch

  4. I totally agree with spanana. We never had a listers, the pros made the show. Love or hate them they were they best in their field. Dwts needs to hire new pros asap (hopefully not from sytycd) and get rid of the troupe. A new executive producer won’t hurt. Celebrities are not the problem imho.

Christian was not an amputee, but his arm (or shoulder?) injury was a big storyline that season, so probably why you are misremembering.  If I remember correctly, he actually injured his arm during a dance and it was a serious injury that required surgery, but he refused to bow out since it was mostly down the homestretch of the season.   He couldn't use his one arm much at all, so Cheryl had to do a lot of clever choreography to avoid that arm and it mostly worked for them.  As soon as the season was over, he had surgery.

Fuller House is a cheesy mess, but I've only heard good things about Juan Pablo from a personality standpoint and he's obviously very talented.  I expect he will be the male contender and I'm glad to see Cheryl potentially have a contender.

The model I believe is also a ringer, for those that love that word, but as is the challenge with anybody not known, will she have enough of a fanbase to get past those first few weeks.

If I had to guess first out, I'd go John or Mary Lou, except I'm not sure.  I'm not sure if John being a Trumpie would get him votes or cost him votes and I'm not sure if the general public knows about Mary Lou's Nassar defense and I'm sure the show won't touch that with a ten foot pole.

And yes, giving Artem the paralympian makes sense based on the pros we've got.  If Mark were around, then maybe him (not sure her height), but otherwise they need someone fairly stable with strong experience and they weren't going to give her to Val when he just had Victoria.  And while Brandon or Alan may have been able to handle it, I don't think the show was going to take the chance and give her to newbies and Gleb/Keo are too unpredictable.

Since I don't watch The Bachelor or shows of it's ilk, I have no concept of Jenna's person either in terms of personality, popularity or dance ability.  I don't know if he's someone that people that watch that show actually like?  Anyone know?

Also I think Witney probably has the Disney person?  It's starting to sound the Chrisley rumors weren't legit.

  6. America Live Voting was interesting. I wonder how telling that was and much power voting influenced who went home. I’m not surprised Tonya made it. Controversial celebs always survive somehow.

i don’t have an opinion on dancing because at this point they all look like mini middle school musicals. Thanks SYTYCD rejects.

I’m conflicted- on one hand I’m thankful this season is ending, on the other hand I don’t have high hopes for next season. That’s because celebs were fine, but pros (who’ll most likely return next season) were horrible. New pros please.

Another point i wanted to make, if you want to get an exaggerated  glimpse  on how they manipulate reality tv... check out tv show ‘Unreal’
