Of all the things that happened in this episode, the most surprising was that Eve told Kenny she would have Carolyn transfer him to another team.

I think it is interesting that the longer all of this goes on, the more Eve and Villanelle become like the other. Eve has some bitchy, sociopath impulses, and Villanelle is wanting to be thanked/appreciated. Although I hope they don't try some redemption arc with her, because realistically, you can't redeem a psychopath who has murdered god knows how many people.

The Villanelle/Nico confrontation was amusing; Nico threatening someone who could so very easily kill him in the blink of an eye.

Everything about Carolyn continues to fascinate me, whether she can be trusted or not.

  2. Again, the voice of Phoebe Waller-Bridge is missed, although this episode was enjoyable. It just doesn't feel the same as last year yet, although I'm hoping as it gets going more, I will be more excited by it again. I'm not re-watching as much as last year yet.

Have we found out yet what was in Nadia's note to Eve?

  3. I'm pretty sure Konstantin isn't dead. Question is, is he going to come back into the picture as an ally to Villanelle (I mean, she was just doing her job and all! 😉 ) or as another one tracking her. And it's going to be interesting to see how well she survives with no source of income, although living by her wits shouldn't be too hard.

  4. Slightly underwhelming premiere, but still solid from the two leads.

Yeah, I knew Gabriel was a goner once they had talked more, but the abruptness of it was still alarming; although Villanelle being so kind and touchy should have been a dead giveaway.

I wonder if Niko will ever know the extent of how much his wife has changed? I mean, before he dies and stuff.

I may have missed an announcement, I saw two new actors being added to the show for season 2, but didn't see if Helena has left the show? That would be a shame, I would like a side view of her and Kenny getting together.

I'm kind of glad that Carolyn has shown herself to be untrustworthy, whether she is part of the 12 or not. She's still funny as heck though.

  5. SO looking forward to this show coming back on tomorrow! The previews have me intrigued, and I could see Villanelle being childlike enough to put all of what happened as "look at how much she loves me, she had to prove she could be more like me" or some twisted thing like that. So looking forward to this dark humor again! I've re-watched season 1 a couple of times recently, in anticipation!

On what legal basis would they fire Garcia for sexual harrassment now ?

    A) it was tongue in cheek

    B) anyone else subjected to being around it could have complained as well

    C) "and other unprofessional behaviors...."

New viewer. I agree with the above posters; Bill is an experienced agent and knew that they were tracking a highly skilled female assassin. Why in the world would he follow her into a crowded nightclub without any backup? Not credible.

Maybe that speaks even more to the fact that Villainelle is successful because women are not taken seriously as assassins? I mean, even by MI6! ;)

She tried to relieve him.  He refused.  But that was some bad CPR!

I thought she was telling him "enough", as in stop trying. But yeah, maybe she was trying to tag in. As a nurse, I HATE seeing CPR done so badly on television, because I worry about whether lay people will think that's right and try it in a time of emergency. No, you can't do actual CPR on an actor, because injury will result, but for those scenes, just throw in a dummy.

He'd have had better luck saving him if he were doing the CPR correctly!  What's with those bent elbows?  Straight arms, Reid, straight arms!  Don't they have, I dunno, technical advisers for stuff like that??

Yeah, keep the arms straight, and speed it up dude! And what's with JJ just watching? CPR is HARD (when done right), and there's a reason why you're supposed to trade out after 2 minutes. I would assume that superstar JJ (gag) would know CPR and be able to tag in.

She didn't kill him - he was injured but still alive. Which makes her toying with Frank even more unbelievable!

Max, the guy who told Frank he would give him anything but a cuddle, was still alive, but when Eve was going down the hall to see Frank in the bedroom it did show one or two dead bodies lying on the floor.

And how would she survive the stabbing wound? Of course we have seen endless movies and shows where people are almost mortally wounded and somehow heal themselves so they can murder on.

Well, it looked like it was in the left lower abdominal quadrant; and other than descending colon (and ovary), there isn't much in terms of organs in that region, and not critical ones. (nurse here)

  12. Um, holy crap. I want to watch this episode again right now and I have to go to work. But I have to say, they ended this season in a character expanding way, with Eve proving that she's not the innocent and naive desk jockey anymore, Carolyn still being a bit of a mystery, and Villanelle with a new grudge to carry over into season 2. Gotta say, the scenes with V and Konstantin's daughter were gold!

  13. Villanelle and Frank in the bathroom, when she is talking about what happens when you die, was completely chilling to me. She seemed so fascinated in what she sees when a person dies, and yet, so clinical...and she is able to detach from that fascination immediately to get back to business. While I loved the dinner faceoff for the black humor and watching cat and cat (let's face it, there is no mouse in this scenario) read each other up close, V talking about the soul shrinking with death was the high point of the episode for me.

  14. While I hated the whole "Ghost Island" premise (really, they need fewer advantages, not more, and most of these "cursed" things ended up the same way), I did think the strongest three made it to the final. I spent a long time not knowing names or tribes, and not caring, even after the  merge; for me it's only been the last 5 or 6 weeks that people have gelled for me. But I liked Laurel and Wendell all along, and grew to like Dom as well (especially in the text of Chris vs. Dom).

I think the two tied players were both worthy winners for their overall gameplay, immunity wins, social game, and for being on top of decisions being made. It's rare that I don't care about which of two people wins because they BOTH deserve it (usually, it's because of "meh, whatever").

Would love to go back to a vintage season of Survivor with no idols, less food, and getting back to true survival strategy, both physical and mental. I'm sure that won't happen, but I can dream!

  15. I think the dynamic between Villanelle and Konstantin was so layered in this one; it looked like the shoe was on the other foot and he was the one B.S.ing her, and she had tears in her eyes....so is that because she actually HAS some normal human emotions, or that she's programmed herself well enough to show emotion when she feels they should be?
