The BBC are making a series of The City and the City, due for release this year! A great book, and probably Mieville's most filmable. I reckon Embassytown is just as good, but can't see how it could ever be adapted for the screen. Counterpart does seem to owe an (unacknowledged) debt to Mieville here. I'm still really enjoying the show though.
