If a loved one of mine was in trouble this way, I would tell them that I love them and am there for them when they need strength and support and then let them live the life they want to/need to live at that time. My only feeling would be love and compassion - not anger.

Booze ain't the only thing. Devil dust makes a person hit bottom emotionally after binging. Been there. Done that.

Alright. Watched it. Lauren is awful and needy. It's level 100. She knows she should be ashamed of herself. Why would she send him over? "Don't go" "she's at the bar." Lauren has a history of dissing women due to her poor judgement.
Danielle is annoying and plain as a potato. Proof Carl will do anything chasing him. It's as if he thinks he's doing them a favor by sleeping with em. Danielle. Have some dignity, girl!

Amanda seems awesome. Super fun, super sweet and a banging body. We didn't really see her last season (except as an extension of Kyle), but she's the best housemate. I've heard stories that dating in NY sucks for women because the guys are awful, and I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that's why she puts up with Kyle's bs. Kyle really needs to reevaluate how great he thinks he is.
I want to start a new drinking game. Take a shot every time Stephen says something nice about someone or isn't a Debbie Downer. You'll be sober all year. He needs to mix it up and be fun again.
You gave me a great snicker this morning. I think Carl puts less of a good job at holding it together. To live a little...we should add to that drinking game...a shot every time Carl is blasted. You'd catch a good buzz.

Lauren, girl. Get a hold of yourself. I don’t dislike her all the time (although she is so high maintenance) and I get how tough it is to be expected to be all cool girl chill about someone you have unresolved feeling for who at times plays into those feelings and that you are around as “friends” all the time. I was put in that situation by a group of friends once and I tried hard, but sometimes you have some pretty bad moments. And it’s tough. One of my least favorite things about modern dating is the way everyone is always supposed to be above everything all the time. Sometimes when you’re hurt and confused you act a mess. But damn girl! You have got to pull it together! Carl is Patrick Bateman level awful and will never, ever stop this push and pull. And you’re becoming an unreasonable bitch trying to deal with it. I was on Lindsey’s side tonight. LINDSEY’S SIDE! That’s how bad things have gotten.

Lauren seemed really coked out at the 4th of July party...both she and Carl were pounding hard liquor all day and night, yet were wide awake to go hot-tubbing at sunrise. That doesn't happen without some kind of stimulant. People had commented on past episodes that Carl appeared to have some kind of a drug problem - if he and Lauren share some bad habits, it could be a factor in their creepy codependency.
The show makes a good case for the theory that emotional growth is adversely impacted by substance abuse (including alcohol). These weekend warriors have interactions that I would expect from junior high and high school kids. With many years sober (and lots and lots of time spent hanging out with other people who drank too much and chose to put the plug in the jug), to me, most of these people do not seem to have a healthy relationship with alcohol. No judgement, just my observation.
I think nose candy is naturally their drug of choice. "SUITS" being those who work and do it 9am-5pm. And on the weekends. Carl looks terrible. I also suspect between Steven and Carl some "chem petting" has occurred, why Steven seems like hes scorned.
I think alcohol is a given with drug use. It goes hand in hand. I hope they filter their liver and kidneys properly....

Sally, I like her really, does not fit. She's like their Eileen Davis. Expecting them to be civil. Its just not gonna happen.

Agreed. I don't think Sally is at all malicious. She seems to not dabble in tasteless. Venus comment did not seem organic, especially on the heels of Gina telling Sally to be more feminine. It was said in a derogatory manner irrelevant to height.
I do believe, however, the alleged "racist" remark that was made was organic to Liano's mouth and hers alone. Her argument style is very childlike. She just repeats what the person says, gets aggressive and tells a person to shut up. She is very bull china shop. No. Agreed. Any woman with a husband with money can be accused of gold digging. To be honest I could care less if they are.

Haven't you heard? For Carl is the "less stress more life" of the party. I sincerely suspect he has a drug problem. There was a part when Lindsey mentioned him being up all night. I had suspected it in season 1 now it's confirmed. That's one of Carl's many issues. And one that is exacerbating the rest. He looks spun out in so many.
This day this episode is when i started suspecting. The morning after he looks terrible...needs an iv...and speaks of stupid decisions.
