I loved Millionaire Matchmaker. I do not love Million Dollar Matchmaker. I loved the format of the old show; it seemed real and unscripted for the most part. I loved the way the old show would change things up. And, they really followed the daters in detail on the old show. In this new version, most everything seems scripted. The format of meeting people pretty much stays the same. They barely touch on the dates. And....the most annoying part is waiting to see who comes through the door at the end. EVERY single time Patti says how worried and concerned she is that the millionaire may have completely blown the date, and their date won't come through the door. Truthfully, after watching 2 or 3 episodes, I didn't give a hoot whether their date came through the door or not. In the old show, I did care if the daters wanted to see each other or not. Sometimes, I'd be rooting for them. Other times, I would think they were a bad match. If was always fun to wait and wonder. In this new show, the end annoys me so much...that I do not care whether they want to see each other again or not. I would be very happy if they incorporated more of the old format into this new show. I really HATE this new format.
