I totally agree that it was way too easy to figure out. However, at least it was that and not like his birthday or something that I would totally have as my password.

I suppose that if you were in prison for a time your number is something you wont easily forget.

Did not expect for Nadler to be the one with ebola, though. That was a twist I didn't see coming.

The "vitamins" didn't make you suspicious?

Really liked this finale. I loved that Cathy's job isn't just some random happenstance, that it actually ended up being a part of the overall arc of the season. Interested to see where next season goes, though it has to have Jack going to be with Greer in Moscow. I need them to be reunited ASAP!

I knew it would tie in when we learned that she was Epidemiologist of the Year in one of the early episodes.

Yes, but the scene in the courtyard where the "recruits/students" were shooting the machine guns toward the sky, Samir looked like he was really into the moment.

If you're a 12 year old boy, shooting an automatic weapon into the sky is just good clean FUN, regardless of the cause.

Henry and Paige used to be pretty close.  They've grown apart mainly because of Paige's idiotic spying career.

I still remember those scenes both when he saved her from the guy who picked them up hitchhiking, and after when they were safe at home.  Henry tells her he peed his pants, she tells him how brave he was, they both promise not to tell anyone else, and she does his laundry, and promised to get him something to eat.

Off topic.  When I was very young I would dream of having a brother or sister that I could be close to, protect and be protected.

I see Stan leaving the Bureau and maybe doing private security or consulting or something. But he knows he isn't a very good Agent. I also think he would find a quiet way to break up with Renee.

Renee will be looking for a way to break up assuming she is KGB.  Her "job" is over; presumably it was to keep an eye on P & E.

The unresolved issues -- Renee, Oleg, Paige to name a few -- leave the door open for "The Americans: the movie."

It would be hard to make sense out of the movie for people who never watched the series.

Interesting that Philip picked up on Renée.

Stan did say he had some money socked away.

Will Stan have the FBI do a national birth/death certificate search on Renee?  I don't think he can continue with her not knowing.

The message Philip passed to Oleg in the dead drop that Oleg got caught with.  That's the info to relay.

That message doesn't have to get to Moscow.  Phillip and Elizabeth wrote it and will relay all the details to Arkady.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they made Stan such a towering moron that he doesn't grasp the likelihood that Phil killed Amador.

Stan doesn't want to know that.  It is in his unconscious and will someday force itself to the surface.  That will not be a good day for Stan.

ITA.  Although I imagine there's not much they can charge Paige with.  Not even "harboring a pair of spies".

Stan is the only person who knows that Paige knew for years.

  11. Assuming he wasn't caught, exactly how was Oleg going to get the message back to Moscow?  Certainly not through the Embassy.  Not through Claudia. Polly the telephone switchboard operator?  By shortwave radio?

So, how could he tell Stan how to get the message out without fingering an operative.  Must be shortwave radio.  He can give Stan the frequency and times and not expose anyone else.   Stan can then agonize over what to do.

If the show wanted the KGB  after them, there were more natural ways to do it.

Didn't matter.  Claudia and The Center will know it was Elizabeth as soon as they hear about Tatiana's death.  They connect the dots much faster than Paige.

I have to say that the costuming and makeup of young Elizabeth was terrific; she even made her lips thinner and more mousy.  Just a schoolgirl.  (Felitziana!)

How did superspy Tatiana miss bewigged Elizabeth smoking two packs on a bench down the street and staring at the same building that Tatiana was staring at for half a day?

Thanks, I didn't realize it was Tatiana.  If they sent her as the substitute assassin they are running out of Directorate S operatives.  They're going to need someone real good to get E and, presumably, P also.  Since The Center is big on tying up "loose ends" doesn't Elizabeth want to warn her about contacting Claudia?

  14. There was an undercover FBI agent present at the Garland, Texas terrorist attack in 2015.  When the shooters got out of their cars with their weapons he booked.  He was stopped by local law enforcement fleeing the scene but was released when he identified himself as FBI.  He didn't kill anyone but not stopping a potential mass murder??????????????

  15. 1 hour ago, Umbelina said:

    Why?

The FBI are being very careful, they haven't raided any garages.  The guy in Chicago caught on to being followed, but that doesn't mean they all would.  Philip and Elizabeth are compartmentalized.  The other embedded spies may not even know who they are, and they certainly don't communicate with one another unless it's a joint operation.

Joan (the telephone switchboard girl) is possibly the only person outside the Center and the Rezidentura who knows the identity of all the East Coast illegals.  I'm sure she is under very strict orders about disclosure.  I wonder if we'll see her this season.

  16. Do we know any details about Renee's past?  Jobs? Schools? BFs? Husbands? Interests?  Even Stan must have looked at her history before marrying her and she passed FBI background check.  I'm sure at this level they didn't do nationwide searches of Renee's with same birth date who died young.  Or would they?   Maybe she's just an attractive, athletic 40 year old with a nice rack?

  17. Title of next weeks episode is "Jennings, Elizabeth".  Title of an FBI file?  Title of an obituary?  Title of a mug shot photo?

If the FBI actually nails Elizabeth then they get Phillip too and this title doesn't fit.  Ergo, Stan realizes that his suspicions are wrong, P & E skate again.  Maybe the FBI puts her under surveillance, which she immediately spots, and she is effectively "grounded" from any of her "work".

    Or what?

After E got home and talked to P, she said she had some work to do.  Where was she going? The night job is over.  Hmmm....to see Paige?

I think she is keeping an eye up on Nesterenko in case Claudia is lining up someone else to 86 him.
