  1. Binged watched the first batch yesterday and I'm hooked. So far, my favorites are Sammie, Shooby, and "Mercedez". Surprisingly, I don't dislike any of them. Joey really grew on me after Antonio's elimination and his conversation with Miranda. So are they going to keep adding new people after eliminating somebody?

Latoya has three sisters when you count Joe Jackson daughter with another women. Maya Rudolph only has a brother.

The "many sisters" clue was for the alien, not the poodle.

  3. I re-watched both episodes last night. My roommate is convinced that the poodle is Maya Rudolph and I can totally hear it in her voice, but I'm not sure this show could get somebody that big. I was thinking the alien was Latoya Jackson, but the alien said she has "many sisters", and Latoya only has one, right?

  4. I was watching some earlier episodes today, and I'd forgotten how much I love Carol. In TOW The Candy Hearts, after Ross' dates bails, they have such great chemistry together and you can really tell that they both still feel for each other. I really wish they would have shown more of that throughout the series. I can't stand Susan, so I definitely wouldn't have minded if Ross and Carol ended up back together. Anyone else feel this way?

Traps is such a great routine that they haven't done in ages. It feels really special that they brought it back for this show and we get to see it in such clarity.  (There's an old version on YouTube if you want to see the slight differences, albeit much blurrier.)

They did it when I saw them in June, too.

So, the trick he did is called Card-Toon. It's a marketed effect which, as they noted in the show, is the best selling magic trick of all time. It's a great trick which is relatively simple to do (strong enough to kill not just on this show, but drew some rave reviews on Britain's Got Talent too). The trade-off for that simplicity is that you can't examine the deck (I won't explain the secret here, it's really easy to find if you want, just google "cardtoon"). When Dan tells them that he can show every card in the deck, they realize the method has to be totally different.

    Ahh gotcha. Thanks!
