  1. This whole episode was kind of confusing, well at least for my liking.

I also don't mind Steve and Danny' bickering but maybe, just maybe it is getting a little worn-out.

Also I know everyone seems to love Adam and maybe it's just me but I don't like his relationship with Kono at all. It makes her look weak at times and I don't like it. I mean as her husband he should be pretty involved in every aspect of her life and him being absent for more episodes than not, is not helping. Writers should fix that, kill him off, send him to Japan... I don't know. First few seasons looked promising regarding Kono's character becoming strong kick-ass woman and then they ruined it.

At the moment Chin is the only one that doesn't disappoint.

So the only ones who get a happy ending with a few "obstacles" (most of which were completely made up crap and nothing too serious) are Dawson and Casey. Meanwhile Kelly is the "bad boy who doesn't give a damn" and yet he cares about everyone and he has lost pretty much everyone he ever loved.

This. Unlike Gabby which they make look like a saint every single episode and when they have problems with Casey it's always about her, we know Kelly is the bad boy and he knows it too. But when he really loves someone, it's real and not at all pushy.

The writers should stop putting him in relationships this meaningful if they won't last, because it feels unnatural at this point. They should put him with someone inside the 51 so "Dawsey" gets some competition as they are literally the only couple so we don't get much to choose from.

...PD also seems to offer many more opportunities for misbehavior than Fire but the PD writers don't really go there.

Which is funny because both shows have the same writers. They're just inconsistent.

Well they sure got over the loss of Louie pretty quick, not that I'm complaining. But the show still revolves too heavily around Dawson, Casey and Severide. They really need to give the other characters something to do.  We're in the fifth season of this show, and we see Capp and Tony in every episode and we still know nothing about them. Zip. Nada. And once in awhile they throw a bone to Cruz or Mouch but it's played as a one-off  and/or for laughs.

And I don't feel like the show spent enough time on Sylvie and Antonio for me to care one way or another about them. Maybe this relationship was something that crossed over into Chicago PD but I don't watch that show. In fact I still feel like we had a better sense of who Shay was than who Sylvie Brett is and she's been on the show longer now.

True that. Also it's sad that Mouch, Otis, Cruz, Capp still serve only as a comic relief of the show and Hermann ofc once in a while as a motivational speaker. An ordinary storyline about ordinary people can be interesting too.

I feel like Brett was used only to give other characters a storyline and there were very few episodes where she was on focus and that's why we know so little abouy her. It's a shame because I actually think that she is ok.

  5. I'm not even surprised anymore with all the attention towards Gabby. Writers of the show must love actress who portrays her very much.

Am I the only one that doesn't like Brett/Antonio pairing? Not so much because of them as a couple, it's just the way they started this whole thing. She is supposed to be "the good girl" and they wanted to make her look that way since the first episode. Then BANG, fatal Antonio is the reason she converts in total sex animal. Like are you kidding me? They didn't even share a proper kiss! Inconsistency of the writers is just killing me softly.

The only characters that are actually fun to watch are Cruz and Otis, maybe Chief Boden. If only they had more scenes.

  6. I mean, they completely ruined Brett's storyline in every way possible and I liked her character a lot. Before she came to Chicago she had fiancee, then she dated Cruz, Otis had an eye for her and I think he still has (based on his reaction about Jimmy working with her on ambo) and also she had a fling with Roman from PD. In some interview when season 4 premiered one of the writers said that they explored a romance with Brett and Severide, but eventually decided not to go for it because it would look bad on everyone (Cruz, Severide and her) - TRUE STORY.I kind of liked the idea of Brett/Severide pairing because they are complete opposites and it would be interesting to see him settle down for once. Basically they didn't go for it because she was a good girl and they wanted to present her that way. Now they're doing EXACTLY what they said it would look bad - Brett telling Jimmy she had a thing for him since he came to the 51. What? They never showed any scenes that would indicate that. And it looks bad because Chilli was with him and she and Brett are friends. Exactly the same. This Jimmy and Brett thing is just beyond weird. Not that I don't like them as a couple it's just the way they started this whole thing. Oh shocker, he is also qualified paramedic.

And this new firefighter... She reminds me of Dawson. Not in looks but just the way she is - her character as strong, independent woman. I don't like it. It's not original at all. We already have one Gabby and she's enough.
