  1. I just binged the show over the last few days. It has warts but I’m hooked.
I was so hyped to come chat but now feel like I’m the only one in the room who is going to continue watching lol. Quietly walks back out door.

  2. All I kept thinking about was if Fenchie was going to show up again? I wasn’t sure if we’d see her paid off/threatened to say she wasn’t sure or get attacked by that creep again?

  3. I have friends who still watch the show and are trying to keep me watching it. I said I’ll wait for the season to play out but I’m leaning heavily no. The latest round of answers from the producer is only solidifying my stance. The time jump is basically an admission that they’ve run out of ideas. He’s saying it’s like hitting the reset so they can do whatever. Gross. Then has the gall to say people want soap and they need to give people that soap. One of the charms of the show was that they didn’t do soap for the most part. EVC leaving shouldn’t have changed that.

I started watching this show because of EVC so I'm annoyed that they killed off her character. Yes, it was a nice send off. The scene at the end where they're wheeling her into the surgery room and the staff is all lined up is what finally got me teary. Before that, I was just glaring at my TV in anger, heh. I just wish they had either re-casted, or just had the character off screen somehow. Maybe she decided to be a stay-at-home mom or something. I'm just annoyed I devoted all this time to her character, and her pregnant, and her marriage, and her stabbing, just to have it end this way.

Same here. The first blow for me was Mina but the fatal blow was Nic. I hope others can still enjoy the show but I’m out.

They knew last season she was leaving. They chose to give us the happy ending with all the bells and whistles knowing they were yanking it from us the next day. I don’t care if it makes me sound like a bitter old woman but they could have done it differently.

Win some and lose some I guess.

  5. This isn’t directed at the EVC situation but yeah. We know money wasn’t the issue here for EVC. Makes me wonder what she was asking for that the bosses couldn’t work out something so everyone wins here. Or why bs and say they hope she can return later. EVC ain’t showing up to be a ghost. I hope.

  6. I wish they would have dealt with Nic’s ending between the seasons. Or maybe I was spoiled so long ago it feels like they’re dragging it out. I’m not emotionally invested and it’s like get it over with.

Nic and Mina balanced (is that the right word) everything out and it’s sorely missed thus far. The new characters are not grabbing me the way those two did.

  7. I hate myself for getting attached to fictional characters/couples. There’s no way this ends well or in a way I’ll be ok with.

Happy for EVC and her family. They deserve this time.

I wish part of the decision was because of the MCU but I’m more likely to find a pot of gold, look cute like a unicorn, and you get what I mean.

First Mina and now Nic. It’s just wrong. Really wrong.

  8. It gets worse.

Too much to quote in here. You’ll be drunk if you take a shot every time you’re confused by a response/explanation.

What’s frustrating is they were told to include 3 things when they started to map the season and Sharon as the PB was one of them. And they still couldn’t execute it to make sense.

Valid question met with a … wtf response.

DEADLINE: Sharon Carter as the Power Broker — Can you explain to us why the Power Broker would allow the super serum architect Nagle to be shot and lead Sam and Bucky–guys who are trying to stop the serum–straight to Nagle?

SPELLMAN: You’re being very presumptuous about what you know about the power broker, and you’re assuming the Power Broker’s motives. I can’t speak on where that will go.

  9. Y’all are not treating her like she’s a princess of Marvel. Sheesh.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Showrunner Explains Sharon Carter's Controversial Turn

    Quote

"A tremendous amount of thought went into this decision, and it begins with Civil War," Spellman said. "Sharon was forced out, and in our mind every scenario we ran on why she hadn't been appearing in the MCU had to do with the fact that when the intelligent community often works is that when they turn on someone, they turn all the way on them.

"You've seen it in Mission Impossible movies, you've seen it in like, Salt, whatever, right? There's even a TV show called Burn Notice — when you've been burned, you are utterly betrayed. These people not only did not ever take Sharon back in, they forced her to become a criminal, and they forced her to be on that trajectory. And with the skillset she developed at SHIELD, she was able to thrive."

We landed on that truth, that was just what we felt like really happened," Spellman continued. "Add to that the delight in that Sharon comes from royalty, but more than that, more than the character being sort of like the Princess of Marvel, [actress Emily VanCamp]  has such a youthful look and vibe. For her to be that edgy really, really played well with the character. But it all came from an honest place. It's not like anyone showed up and said, 'Let's ruin Sharon Carter.' It was, 'What do you think happened to Sharon when SHIELD went bad and the intelligence community turned on her.' And this was it."

I would dearly love to believe that, but I’ve been burned too many times by the MCU where Sharon has been concerned.

What pisses me off is this wasn’t good writing at all, it was shock value. There were other possibilities for Power Broker’s identity that made more sense. Val/Madame Hydra was RIGHT THERE. Hell, Dickhead Ross would have been more sense since he’s always done shady evil shit and always sheds credibility like the skin off a snake.

But no. They picked Sharon because they’d rather do that than give her a decent role. And they completely bamboozled us by hyping up her return to the MCU and advertising it like she, Sam, and Bucky were going to be the new Team Cap.

Same. I feel like a fool for believing Kari and Malcolm when they said they brought her back to honor her character. I was like, yes, they’re righting the wrongs and then I got sucker punched.

I’m too exhausted to be curious about her plan or when she’ll even show up again. I almost wish she’d be forgotten again but they didn’t make this move to not have her show up at some point.

Once again they’ve done nothing to protect EVC from all the hate from fans. I feel bad for her as she responds with graciousness every time.

  11. Carl Lumbly you deserve all the awards. That was difficult to watch.

The show is doing a brilliant job of mixing in the action with the character moments. I enjoy both.

I thought we’d have gotten more Sharon Carter with the way everyone hyped her return up. As a fan of her character in the comics and here I’m disappointed in these 30 second appearances. I don’t believe for a second she’s the power broker and hope they give her a bit more screen time to show what her plan really is. I certainly hope the door is left open for her return in the future.

  12. Another promo. Are they trying to kill me before the premiere? I’m a sucker for these type of situations no matter how many times they’ve been done.

Ugh. Having trouble with my edits. They were asking for spoilers for Nic and Conrad but it’s sort of general. I can’t handle this one.

I’d love a Season 2 scoop on The Resident, preferably Conrad/Nic-related. —Colleen

Well, this major spoiler could be about one of them — but I really hope it’s not, seeing as the Fox sophomore is gearing up to kill off what sounds like a major character. “We really want people to get attached to all of these characters this season,” EP Todd Harthan tells TVLine, before cryptically adding, “because… not everyone survives Season 2.”

Nope. It's better to not say anything because the public will always take the actor's side and whoever gets it out there first controls the narrative.

Plus the show is gone so who cares? Beside us. Not even really me, I'm in it for the lulz.

You seem to be in the know so I have to ask questions.

What's special about this case where it's best if no one says anything? Compared to similar cases where those involved were all to willing to air it out?

Happy to hear Stana isn't retired. Do you know what roles she's looking at? Any auditions she's been on? I understand if you can't mention specifics. I'm just hoping for a general direction she might be heading in.

I agree it's probably just fans that are still interested whatever their reasons.

  14. There's always at least one person willing to sing. Be it an actor, crew member, or a network suit.

A lot of people were screwed out of jobs because of this.

I'm having a hard time believing that Stana not only shot herself in the foot, leaked the story, and then played victim falsely, and not one person is willing to take her to task for it? Really?

Actors who have pulled similar crap in the past were raked over for it. Some are still carrying that stink around years later.

This situation though? It's like everyone turned mute and hope it stays swept under the rug.

  15. If one of my former employees hung me out to dry I'd bury them. Especially if I knew all the dirty details and had the resources to get all that info out there.

ABC just took it all on the chin. I don't get that. Sure, Stana is small potatoes but that was a legit PR nightmare.

If us fans can figure out what went down then those involved surely know who did what and when. Yet those who were screwed by Stana only have nice things to say about her. I don't get that either. Maybe I'm just petty while others just want to move on and put it all behind them.

Or it just might be possible that Stana's hands aren't the only ones who are dirty.

  16. Ugh. I hate this. So much.

I don't really care for the new actress coming in but maybe I'll like her here? I guess I'll look out the window and see pigs flying too.

It also means more Percy. She's best in smaller doses.
