According to the good listing folks at Zap2It, or whatever it's calling itself these days, Monday night (June 19) on @Midnight (11:30, Comedy Central) will have Katya, Alaska, and Ginger Minj as guests. If you haven't seen it, it's sort of a cross between The Soup, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and [pick a random game show, or several]. The lineup isn't set in stone for some reason -  I had to wait weeks to see Wayne Brady, even though he kept being listed, but it's worth it. If you miss it, or they change it up, keep checking, or try to see it on demand or streaming or some such.

I watched that @Midnight episode last night.  It was a thing of beauty.  Very funny and well worth the second viewing.  All the queens did well.  Here's hoping for another all queen panel.

  2. I agree about Nina on a lot of points.  I have been in that constant state of depression and anxiety.  It's a killer and it drives people away.  I hope Nina is able to find the kind of help she needs.  It will be a long road and not at all easy. She is a talent but needs to change the tape that keeps playing in her head.

I hope Alexis is the next to go.  Her attitude is annoying.  I am pulling for either Shea or Sasha, but would be just fine with Trinity or Peppermint.

  3. This is for all the locals from my neck of the woods: Standard Insurance lady.   Her hand gestures make me nuts.  Look, I was in the speech club in high school.  One of the things I learned and retained is that your hand gestures must look natural.  That lady in the commercial looks so forced, I keep thinking she's not trying to sell me insurance, she's lecturing me. I don't like being lectured.  Unfortunately, there is no escaping that commercial.

  4. I saw on IMDB that the antagonist for the GitS movie was named Kuze. Only in the trailers it looks like the Puppetmaster. I'm going to be that crazy fan in the theater that will scream "THE PUPPETMASTER IS NOT KUZE!! DIDN'T YOU WATCH ANY OF STAND ALONE COMPLEX OR SECOND GIG???" Methinks that Hollywood believes that anime fans are stupid.  Like a bunch of basement dwelling nerds with no social skills or intellect.  I am going to see it, but I have a feeling that I will have the same attitude towards it that I had for The Last Airbender. Which is to say wanting to find everyone responsible for the script and giving them a good uppercut on the jaw.  Honestly, everyone involved if the truth be told.

So is there a non-pirate, legal website to watch One Piece? (Yes, pun was intended).

Fucking what?!? What the everloving fuck?!?? So we won't be getting the Sabody arc, which leads to Amazon Lily, Impel Down and Marineford. That is bullshit.

I tried to get into Tokyo Ghoul, but I'm not rushing to borrow volumes from the library like I do with One Piece, One-Punch Man and Assassination Classroom.

Yeah, that is what I said.  Still have not found a reason.  Only thing I could think of is that it got too expensive for Toonami to keep on.  I tweeted a question asking for more details to the guy who said he runs Toonami. No reply.  Nothing on Anime News Network either.  I am more than a bit annoyed.  I am not happy at all.

I know next to nothing about Tokyo Ghoul except that it's a horror anime.  I will give it a chance though. I am not a horror fan usually, but I liked Parasyte and Hellsing Ultimate.

  6. Well, according to the Toonami Twitter Feed, One Piece will be leaving the block, last episode will air on March 18.  One Piece will be replaced by Tokyo Ghoul.  Not sure how I feel about that. There was no reason given, so who knows what happened?  If anyone can pass along information, I would appreciate it.

Lantern 7, the Major's name is Motoko Kusanagi.  Every time I am stuck in a rush hour traffic jam, I wish I had a Tachikoma.  Although I will have no place to park it at work.

  7. I've seen a few episodes of One Punch Man on Hulu,  My daughter raved about it, it's one of her current favorites.  We watched it while she was on Christmas break from college.  I think you will like it weyrbunny.  I can't really described it, except to say that is zany, a bit off the wall, but has some pretty good action scenes.  To the best of my knowledge, it has not been dubbed yet. The episodes we watched were all subbed.

Dimension W looks potentially interesting.  I have seen Pyscho Pass on Netflix.   I was hoping that at some point that Darker than Black would be on the Toonami block, but it appears that Funimation no longer has the license to DTB.   I wonder if they will ever show Ghost in the Shell: Arise.  That show was on Netflix streaming, albeit as subs only.
