  1. The Minn couple that was on tonight... Not so much. She wasn't bad, but he was such a pill! Everything he said was sooo negative. Then at the end when she asked where she should place the throw pillows, he replied, "in the garbage!" Seriously?!

I agree!  he was horrible - hated everything in all the houses.  I would hate to be married to such a downer of a person

  2. Tonight's episode with the NJ to Atlanta couple made me embarrassed to be from New Jersey. She was a caricature of an aging Jersey girl with her big hair, too tight clothes and spike heels and I thought she was pretty insufferable with her "Falcon Crest" allusions (which the young realtor didn't "get" at all) and if said the word GRAND one more time...

I agree!  If I heard "Falcon Crest" one more time.  Which ran from 1981 to 1990, which sort of gives away her age bracket.  Also, wasn't FC a bunch of very rich people -- so unless she has a few million squirreled away, it ain't gonna happen.  I thought she looked like a sausage stuffed into her clothes -- way tooooo tight!

  3. Love the Tuscan house in Tiburon last night.  The one they chose, the contemporary was okay, just not my style -- but the third house -- it was huge, cut up, and sterile.  A hotel lobby has more warmth than that house.  The HH were nice and not too demanding.

  4. This is driving me crazy -- so maybe someone with a better memory can help.  The baby -- I've seen this baby before on another show but I can't remember which show.  She has a very distinct face that I remember well.  Help?

  5. And while we're talking about important national issues, what is up with that blouse that Elizabeth was wearing with the material dangling from the sleeves? It looked like she was going to play flag football.

That was the dumbest design I have ever seen.  How do you eat with those flap things -- they would get into everything.  And write -- you would constantly be pulling them out of the way.

  6. I did not understand last night's episode (Portland, Oregon) at all.  The girl (can't remember her name) had student debts that she was trying to pay off, so she was living with her parents.  But suddenly she had to get a tiny house?  Why didn't she just stay with her parents? So she got approved for a mortgage of $60,000.  She chose the most expensive house and now has a mortgage of $68,000 added on to her loans.  Makes no sense at all.  Also, why didn't she buy the second house which was only $35,000 and was perfectly fine -- except that it didn't have a dishwasher (heaven forbid that she wash a couple of dishes!) and didn't have a loft -- it had a nice bedroom instead.

  7. At least it got a good ending with Sam marrying Missy.  I will miss Ben Bass the most --

Ah, well - it was a fun show. I never loved it quite as much as 'Flashpoint' but it was a decent cop show most of the time. Better go out on a high-note than in a whimper.

I loved Flashpoint -- much better show!

  8. OMG -- this took me right out of the show.  The blue thingy that Felicity uses to test something that she found on the windshield is a pill cutter.  I have the exact same thing to cut my pills in half.  Show -- you could done much better and not be so cheap!!

  9. If you're in the U.S., you should be able to watch it on the CW's website, www.cwtv.com.

    Direct link here

It also should pop up on the free but ad-heavy version of Hulu.

Thanks!  I watched it but the CW also has tons of ads.

  10. Well, this sounds like an interesting episode -- too bad I didn't get to see a second of it -- thanks to DirecTV and its problems.  all I got was an hour of a black screen with white text saying not to worry - that DTV was fixing the problem.  Doesn't help me at all.  Does anyone know where I can see this episode for free?

  11. I loved the first episode!  It was as low key as the first season, but still had a lot going on.  Love Patrick Wilson -- I wish they would let him sing in the show.  His voice is amazing!  Kirsten Dunst was hilarious as a very ditzy wife with her aim-to-please husband.  Sorry didn't recognize him.  Love Ted Danson in this -- much better than his turn in CSI: Cyber.  Didn't recognize Kieran Culkin at all (isn't he a blond?) but he was great.  I hope we see more of him in flashbacks or something.  I'm in for the long haul!

  12. Just watched a repeat of the show with a couple who bought a tiny house -- the husband (Trevor?) had no input at all -- the wife (Janet?) bought it while he was out of town.  They ended up "loving it" but I call foul on the price.  Hillary took away a bedroom and a bathroom so it became a one bed - one bath house and the adjusted price which David gave at the end of the show was an increase of $150,000.  No way could a house increase that much when you are taking away a bedroom.  That makes no sense at all.

  13. it was interesting but I kept on comparing it to "Vikings" and Last Kingdom came out far behind.  "Vikings" has many of the same characters and they are much more fleshed out.  IMHO, "Vikings" is one of the best shows on tv.  LK needs to get much better if it wants to stay on my DVR.

  14. I loved the Gainesville couple -- they were so nice to each other -- it was a breath of fresh air.  Which is sad to say.  Most HHs seem to be more like the cookie-cutter people.  I loved the Victorian house -- except for the weird, gaudy bathroom.  The porch was to die for!  And I laughed so hard when the husband unpacked a box of boxes.  He was a joy!

  15. I am really trying to like this show -- but it is failing on so many points.  Half of the story lines are boring (Arctic girls, masked man, boy in hospital, Katana Girl) and I think that might be become the "heroes" are so young.   They don't seem to understand the ramifications and they should seeing what happened on June 13.  In the original Heroes we had mature people:  Matt, the brothers, Mohinder, etc.   Now, only HRG is over 20.  His bearded sidekick seems to be around -- why?

Also blood type O negative should be the most plentiful in hospitals because it is the Universal Donor blood type.  Saying its rare is lazy writing.  Same with Katana Girl and her sidekick jumping on an international flight within a couple of hours -- no passport, visa ?, nothing...  Not plausible and takes me right out of the story -- which is shallow at best.

And the black killer woman is over the top with her attitude and mean look.  Her husband knows the killing is wrong but does nothing.

Sorry about not knowing the new characters' names -- I see many posts about Zachary Levi but I have no idea who he is.  Never saw him in anything else.

  16. Not only the voice and the mouthful of huge teeth, but her attitude.  It was going to be her way or nothing.  She could have cared less about what her husband wanted.  I knew the minute I saw the first house and how much she wanted it that it would be the one they bought.  The husband had no say whatsoever in the matter.  I just wonder how long he is going to put up with that.  I see an affair, a divorce, or "snap! Oops! killed her" (I've been watching too much "Solved") in the future.

  17. No, no, no!  A big, flashing red light on the sidearm?  What for?  To give the bad-guy a point of aim in the dark?

I thought the same thing.  Way to make yourself a target!

This storyline really drags. Megan Goode really doesn't have enough charisma to be a leading lady (I thought that about deception and nothing she's doing here has changed my mind). I like Arthur, he seems much more interesting than Agatha and Dash who seem so one dimensional.

I'm not expecting brilliance from the case of the week but that was real weak sauce for only the second week.

I am really trying to like this thing but it's not holding my interest.  I'll give it one more week and then it's off my DVR.

  18.

You wrote my post except for the Canning commentary. Margo Martindale, the Apple-Pie moonshine-making, dead-husband-clothes-wearing matriarch of the marijuana growing Bennet family who made the second season of Justified, my already all-time favorite TV show, pop off my screen??? I would watch her in anything. I'm so in on TGW now, just to see her character and Eli's scrapping--I could tell from their faces how much they are loving this development.

I actually felt like new blood was pumping through this show last night. Maybe the remainders of the original law firm need to just fade away and let the new storylines grow--Cary watching the boring old people was just boring. Goodbye to all of them (and I actually would send Michael J. Fox away too).

I didn't even realize there was a wig involved.... Hmmm.

I think I like MJF more than I like Canning -- and I am so looking forward to Eli and Margo (can't remember her character's name) going at each other.

  19. As usual, I am out of step with about everyone else.  I loved the premiere and thought it was a breath of fresh air after last season, which seemed so dreary.  I loved the story line with Eli and I love Margo Martindale (ever since I saw her on "Justified" for which she won an Emmy) and am looking forward to JDM (from "Supernatural" for me) and more Michael J. Fox -- I love sneaky Canning.  The Good Wife is one of my top DVR shows.  And to show just how out of step I am, I never realized that JM was wearing a wig -- but then I never realized that Meagan was wearing a wig in The Blacklist either.

  20. Just watched what I think was a new episode (at least that's what my dvr is set to record) -- Nathan and Ann expecting a baby.  I didn't understand her at all -- she wanted the laundry upstairs but vetoed the only place it could have gone.  Wanted two offices but said no to them on half of the porch.  I don't think they ever had any intention of leaving that house (which I thought was cold and sterile - but then I hated mid-century modern).

  21. Much better start to this season than last.  I couldn't stand Fish and I began to fastforward through her scenes during the last few episodes.  I love James Frain so it will be fun to watch him play whatever role he has.  According to Wikipedia, his sister becomes the Tigress and then eventually the Huntress -- not sure if the series is going that route but I got no background for the character than Frain plays.  The Penguin is my favorite villain on the show, but I also like the way they are playing the Joker.  I'm looking forward to this season so far.

  22. I liked it so far and have not pulled it off the DVR yet, so that's a good thing.  I have not seen the leads in anything else, so I don't have that baggage to deal with.  And I barely remember the movie -- if I saw it at all.  Not a Tom Cruise fan.  I liked the actor who is playing Dash -- he plays him with just the right amount of naivete.
