  1. I feel like there was some not-so-subtle racism re the defendant. "People from foreign countries" (or whatever) She was a typical white woman who calls police regularly.

So I guess he ran off because he was sick of dealing with his son’s ongoing addiction issues, probably had some other issues he wanted to escape from and with his marriage on the skids and his wife out of country, there was no better time to disappear.

I’m just surprised he was living so close to Connecticut. I’d think if he was going to disappear he would’ve left the country or resettled on the west coast. I am curious to know how he managed to pull off being MIA for 10 years in our modern times of cell phones and CCTV being everywhere.

From what I understand, he kept a very low profile and paid his bills in cash. He did have a new name, and that name had a fake DL, so in theory he could get by with that. He had a flip phone and worked mostly under the table for cash.

I feel so bad for his boys.

  3. I don't know why no one is over here, but the first half of the case today has me gripped.  The woman suing is older and was a previous kidnap victim who was walking with her dog in a mall. She claims a very aggressive salesman, Eric, more or less held her captive in one of those skin care places in the mall, and she spent 8K to get out.

I have managed to avoid those people, but I agree they are aggressive. Part 2 looks like Eric has some 'splainin to do...

You cant reason someone out of a mental disorder. Shill irritates the crap out if me when he brings someone on the stage who is clearly mentally I'll and presents them with proof that what they believe isnt true. I think that's where we are with lois . The general could have walk out on stage and told her it was all fake and she wouldn't believe him. She is completely invested in her delusion. Other catfish victims hold on cuz the ripoff of their money is too much to handle. I think we are beyond even that with Lois.

I was not able to watch today (Governor was on instead) so did she learn anything or naw?

So I watched Monday's Catfish episode: part 1 of Lois, who is yet again another delusional woman for whom I have no sympathy. Lois is an absolute idiot. I get that people are desperate. I am in my 50's and without a significant other. However, I'll be damned if I start sending money to strange guys who profess to be stranded in a foreign country with suitcases of gold and jewels. I mean COME ON. And request to be called "The General." Why don't these people listen to ANY of their loved ones or friends?

And I'm sorry but something seems to be up with Lois. Her manner of speaking was off putting and they had to subtitle her several times. Apologies for any offense but she seems on the slow side or has some sort of problem.

Let's see what Part 2 reveals today.

I am also in my 50s and single. I actually enjoy it (husband died after a lengthy battle with cancer last year, I was exhausted and emotionally drained). I have had men try to facebook friend me or try to start a conversation on words with friends and I shut that s*** down immediately. Also, almost every fake facebook friend is formulary: Attractive guy in a uniform or in a foreign country, brand new FB profile with two or three photos and no or few friends. I mean...how are women falling for that?

As for Lois, if she was a functional person prior to her divorce, I wonder if she needs some sort of neurological work up? Because NOBODY with life experience and critical thinking skills believes there are suitcases full of diamonds. She may WANT to believe it, but she can't actually believe it. The paper money was just beyond. Money is printed on cloth, not printer paper you dumbass.

At any rate, I will be watching tomorrow because I am a glutton for punishment AND I am in my final week off from having COVID and bored AF.

This was a great moment and a great case in favor of the plaintiff. I hope those 2 defendant scumballs rot in their own living hell.

The Petermeisters are from my hood, so I checked her facebook. She's a Trump supporter, even went to see his star when she was in LA, I am assuming for the JJ taping.

She's lying again..............surprise! She's back with dogkiller Dave and is denying it when people ask. She say's they're just getting along for Ensley but they've been back  together ever since Herbie dumped her. She still has an apartment in TN and has been going back and forth. Word on the street is she's broke as a joke and can't make rent next month. I doubt the mortgage payments on Moldy Manor have been paid, either.

Maybe now she can get the WIC and food stamps she wanted so much.

Can money be deposited in a closed account?

No. It goes back to the account it was sent from UNLESS the account is charged off. In that case, the bank keeps what is owed and sends out a check for the rest.

I don't remember the nightmare child case, not even after seeing the obit, but I see the family is following the new trend of automatically begging strangers for money.

The children have three different last names, so I'm assuming three fathers, grandparents, many aunts, and uncles, and had a mother who should have had life insurance, what with all those kids,  yet they have their hands out. What did people do when someone died before the advent of "GoGimme"?

She didn't work, so that's why she likely didn't have life insurance. The good thing is that Minnesota liability insurance includes medical/death benefits. It would be enough to cover a very small funeral, but better than nothing. (Assuming she had valid insurance)

  10. The defendant from the repeat, "My child is a nightmare" died a few years ago in a car accident. She had four daughters. The JJ boyfriend is listed in the obit.

Also, she was from Minnesota, in the small city my husband grew up in.

ETA: She was driving too fast on a four lane highway, and crashed into a  pole. Fortunately, no one else was injured.

  11. I was also not surprised the perfectionist mom and her checked-out husband got divorced. I am hopeful the kids will gradually move over to live with their dad. I am guessing he fits the role of "Disneyland Dad" quite well.

I was kind-of surprised she found a new guy who will accept all of her baggage, though. She is a LOT.

ETA: Jarius was a nasty person. It's not that he is "protective" of his kids, it's that she was a white, religious person whom he judged JUST as harshly.

Can a private school require vaccines?

Yes. My kids went to school in Kansas, and (believe it or not!) they will keep kids out of public school if they aren't vaccinated. The ONLY waivers are medical waivers, period. But yes, private schools can do whatever they want in that regard.

I am an election judge in MN and every year a transplant from another state is gobsmacked at how easy we make it (same-day registration, vouching, student ID + a bill with your address, etc). It's the way it SHOULD be. In 2012, Republicans put a voter ID amendment and a same-sex marriage ban on the ballot as referendums. Both failed!!!

I moved to MN from KS and was pretty gobsmacked.  My husband has lived here his whole life; we moved from St Paul to St Cloud (kind of a sad story) and he didn't change his voter registration until we voted in the primaries. I (who DID change my address online) vouched for him. It still blows my mind. My kiddo still lives in KS, and she had to be registered in her new address by Oct 20 or she couldn't vote.

  14. Karen claimed to be a dentist, but the only thing I could find was a linked in profile as a dental hygienist. I somehow doubt an actual dentist would up and move 4 hours away with some Tinder guy.

Also: Saint Cloud, MN! It's not a big city, and when I checked out Logan's facebook page, we had two mutual friends. He definitely likes the pot, which is why he knew where he was on 4/20, even though obviously Judge Judy didn't (and Byrd didn't tell her the reference). I do believe he got his dog high, but I also believe he probably takes good care of her.

Also: The lovely Madison, who was there with him, was just a few months clean from "hard drugs" when she hooked up with "doobie", and is now pregnant with a baby girl. AFAIK from FB, they are still living with his parents. Good luck, kiddo.

Pilar thinks her CAR is a place where she is safe from chemical exposure?? Is her car made of Glad Press-and-Seal?? I’m just wondering because my car is not airtight and the Honda  dealer never offered me that option when I bought it.

I had a mother of all allergy attacks on my drive to work today, and thought of this. Yeah...my car was sucking up the pollens...

  16. OMG you guys! The young driver suing the fat Troy Stoffel was from Sauk Rapids! I couldn’t find out which law office uninsured terrible driver Troy works for, but his friend, Chris? GOLDMINE!

Also, Stoffel had his house foreclosed on a few weeks ago. I’m guessing his law firm wasn’t too pleased by his appearance...but why didn’t they advise him against it?
