Anthony Stewart Head on a series filmed IN London, story takes place in London, but he's American. Was excitedly anticipating Giles' elocution. Another disappointment in a pilot full of them. Except Zane. Who's awesome.

I've been reading SDB for 16 years and 'gurunt' is my new all time favorite.
Not certain how this differs from last year's 'Aquarius' as more than a few episodes focused on one [fictional] girl's circumstances putting her into Manson's orbit. Although this sounds much more fact based than Duchovny's vanity project...

(Also, I know the actors' age difference is appropriate for a father and daughter, especially if that father helped create his daughter while in college, but Skyler Samuels reads older than she is, and Oliver Hudson reads younger, and their chemistry is just way more...not the chemistry of a father and daughter. IF YOU FEEL ME.)
I do indeed Mr. Zeidel. it's an Eddie from Dawson's Creek hooking up with Chloe King vibe. Although they are 21 years apart...

This is not the Battle of Shaker Heights one with Amy Smart and Shia Ledoof ?- female writer of the screenplay [?]. Perhaps it is and casting hasn't started? I always loved that Moore was such an indiscriminate hater before 'hater' was even a term. His rants seemed the most valid of any reality star in history.

I never understood why Carter wasn't a bigger star or this wasn't a longer running series in its day. She's absolutely the most gorgeous actress and before all the available upgrades of today in both plastic surgery computer screen filters. Lyle sucked. He looked and portrayed it as if he were her creepy uncle.

Always erroneously assumed from Quentin's arrival in S3 and again in S5 that the final [final] big bad is/was supposed to be the Watcher's Council. I think that was the direction the series was taking then retooled for UPN network execs or our favorite later shownoxonrunner scrapped it.

SethCohen ButGoyishe - HEE! The oldies who watched it in real time were expecting a sub par version of a dreadful Michael J Fox [1985] Jason Bateman[1987] sequel movie. Combined with it premiering in the summer back when there was a dearth of off season programming; our expectations were so dreadfully low it was regarded as a delightful surprise. However, after reading your analysis you're 100% accurate on all counts. I wasn't thrilled with the most recent season for the exact same reasons you enumerated with different actors, plotlines, characters - I long for knock-off joey potter after Scott's current bore interest.

Was that her stunt double in the shots directly behind the bag [?] bc if not vancamp can throw a punch better than garner on Alias...the person being filmed without her face near the camera was ripped to shreds and while EVC is in great shape she doesn't look like a gnc ad.... but not 100% sure either way...someone let me know either way ;)

Maybe Charles is stuck there with them too and it's a different A. Always hoped A was one of the four girls or one of their mother's knowing them and hating them for squandering their youth or some such psycho-logic. I hope it's someone they know WELL. I hope Ali is in on it bc why would this dude hate the girls so much ?– just bc they were friends with alison[?]. Marlene king said to tell each cast member who A is took AN HOUR. If she has to create some convoluted backstory rather than someone who interacts with them on a regular basis who HATES them rather than some randomness where it takes an hour for the creator/writer to explain the connection to the 4 girls to another cast member. That’s why I think it’s dumb – Spencer says ‘Charles?’ like its supposed to mean something when it doesn’t….

Good point regarding their parents. This was supposed to tie into the pilot somehow but I missed that. Unless we have to wait until 2017 for the actual reveal. Was Andrew even in the pilot?

Agreed. At least Emily treated her like a kindergartner. Haven't seen her gloat like that in a while. Although why she didn't jump when Jack handed her the seaglass is beyond me... I hope this is the final season. Gina Torres elevates this dreck as much as she can but she's not a miracle worker.

You're absolutely dead on as usual. Jane's are always better on initial viewing - smart move to only go back once. Thanks to F/X and SMG's need for residual checks many of us have seen them 5 or or 6 times :(

to keep on topic; if I had known what the switch to UPN would create for the next two seasons - I would've stopped watching/or they could've ended on a high (low/sad) note with 'The Gift'.

Highly anticipating a Sarah D. Bunting take one S6 S7. Especially knowing there will be no holding back on noxon. Although it wasn't entirely her; Maybe (?) partially the fact there was no standards and practices dept at UPN. No one accuses a network of improving a show's quality creatively but perhaps CW execs could've have maintains its original focus (I'm no prude but S and P would've kept the Spuffy intercourse less graphic/revolting). Cannot believe how much I enjoy A Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce armed with the knowledge MN is the showrunner

The series finale did its best to pay homage to the pilot at least in the final scene but an entire S7 to get to that one shot where the camera pulls back was indeed not worth it. Wishing Lauren Graham was the lead in Bunheads then we could've pretended that was season 7.
