Does anyone know what Mall they used for this episode.  Couldn't come up with it.

I'm pretty sure it's Ford City Mall in Chicago.

Does anyone know the song played in scene as Charlie and Emma embraced in his apartment?  They went to commercial with the sing playing. When it resumed, they were lying in bed.

According to Shazam, the song is "Tell me the Truth" by Two Feet.

  3. Good episode, but I must have been daydreaming during part of it because I have no idea why Sherlock had Joan shave his head at the end of the episode.  I called my mom this afternoon to ask her and she didn't know either (guess it runs in the family)!  Could someone please fill me in? Thank you!

  4. I know its been mentioned here before how Taylor sometimes snarks on her dad (like mother, like daughter, I guess).  On the last episode, when Christina was presenting her expensive (as always) design ideas for the kitchen to Tarek and he complained about the cost (as always), Taylor said something to Tarek like, "Hey, me & mommy pick what we want and you don't throw a fit."  Nice.  She continued after that, but I couldn't understand what she was saying. If T&C weren't splitting up, I guess I would find Taylor's snark kind of funny, but now it just makes me feel sad.

  5. The house they flipped last night probably had the largest backyard of any property ever featured on this show, so far.  One acre, I think.  It also had views of a golf course, mountains and the skyline.  It was amazing!  So, can someone who is familiar with CA real estate please tell me why this house was so cheap?  They have sold houses on much smaller lots, with little or no view, much less square footage and in neighborhoods that looked a bit rough for much more money.

I thought I was going to hate that fireplace tile.  I was really surprised how much I liked it once it was installed.

I watch Chicago PD but I don't recall seeing her on that show... It also hasn't aired in what feels like ages. I think March might have been the last new episode but I could be wrong.

I just found out CPD is finally coming back with new episodes starting next Wednesday.  I'm glad, because I've missed that show.  And you're right - Detective Holloway was never featured on the show.  I'll be surprised if we hear anything more about her on any of the Chicago shows, but I hope Pouch comes back!

And, on a more shallow note: does anyone know where that scene in the department scene was filmed? I though maybe Marshall FIeld's. But, where ever it was, the building was beautiful.

The exterior of the building is actually the Chicago Cultural Center.  It was once the city's central library, but is now used for other purposes.  The interior shots, however, were definitely not the CCC and likely a real department store, but I don't know which one yet.  I hope I find out.  I'm curious!

  8. I'd watch a spinoff featuring all the crazy judges they've had over the years. And Good Wife is set in Chicago, so Dick Wolf can just come on board and add it to the Chicago Fire/P.D./Med/Janitors Union oeuvre.

I was thinking the same thing.  I'm pretty sure Chicago Law is really going to happen, so why not add the crazy judges to the cast as well as Diane & Cary?  I'd watch!

  9. I missed how the car accident (with the missing driver and blood trail) and the house fire a few blocks away were connected.  I feel like the dad in the basement was the driver, due to his head wound, but I'm still missing how he got there and what caused his accident.   Could someone please explain?  Thanks!

  10. I am curious (I have never been to Chicago), if it was so cold, why was there no snow on the ground? It kind of took me out of it when they kept talking about how cold it was, but the streets, and sidewalks and lawn areas had hardly any snow on them (if any).

There was snow.  I swore I saw it when I watched the show live, but just double-checked via On-Demand to make sure, LOL.  There was snow in the opening scene when Severide pulls up in his car in front of the firehouse and again, later, when the ambulance is sitting outside that abandoned factory while Brett & Mills dealt with their frostbitten high patients.  It does get very cold here without snow too, but in this case (assuming they filmed during our extreme cold spell) we got about 5" of snow right before the extreme cold hit.

  11. In all fairness, if they filmed this episode in early January, then it really was that cold in Chicago (we had a week of sub-zero temperatures).  I remember it was 12 below zero one of the days with a 30 below (or more) wind chill. I've lived in Chicago and the suburbs my entire life.  While the cold & snowy winters are no fun, we deal with it.  I agree that they certainly didn't dress for the weather (do they on any shows?) and Cruz was definitely OTT in his misery, although they probably just threw that in for comic relief.

I think the girl Casey took home with him is going to turn out to be a superior's wife.  This isn't a spoiler because it was in the previews for next week's episode.  The firehouse is getting a new chief (hope Boden isn't leaving for good and that he's just taking time off to grieve for his dad) and that Casey's new "friend" is going to turn out to be his new bosses wife.

  12. There is something new this season that I never noticed in previous seasons and I tried to find out why on my own but had no luck at all.  I feel like an idiot, but I have to ask because it's driving me (and a few other viewers I know) crazy.  In the courtroom scenes almost everyone in the background is either standing up, walking around, talking to others, talking on their phones, etc.  Since when is this legal in a courtroom?  As a viewer, I find it rather loud & distracting and assume it would be same for the judges, lawyers, etc.  I admit I only recall seeing this during Cary's bail hearings, so maybe that has something to do with it.  Can anyone please explain?
