    Dear show and pros,

Jazz is not a catch all phrase synonymous with freestyle. Being assigned jazz doesn't mean your dance should consist of a mish mash of different ballroom styles. Jazz is an actual dance style/discipline, just as ballet, tap, and samba are. Any ten year old kid who takes weekly dance classes at the local rec center can tell the difference between jazz and a hodgepodge of ballroom. Either do a jazz dance with jazz choreography or eliminate this style from the competition. Judges, please penalize accordingly when the jazz dances don't actually contain jazz choreography so we can nip this shit in the bud.

    Thanks,
    EB

Val and Victoria had Charleston originally. I guess Victoria couldn't do it, or Val couldn't choreograph a proper Charleston and they switched to Jazz. It showed IMO.

  2. Speaking of paddlegate - a contestant's staying or leaving depends on that score. Scores are very important, especially, in a competition this close. I guess it's safe to assume that Nyle  is running away with viewers' vote...

Yes, not all troupe members deserve to be pros, but the the pros certainly look better or worse depending on who their celebrity is. Jodie is pretty good, but she's no Meryl Davis. Keo made it to week 8 with her, and that is pretty much what I expected with her. I think Keo did what he was supposed to do. I don't think Lindsay did anything spectacular with Alek. The judges ridiculously inflated his scores so he could get to the finals. It's pretty obvious they want some contestants (and pros) to win (or at least make the finals), while they don't care about others.

Like this season, Ginger is okay but not great, but it's obvious the show wants her and Val in the finals, so she's probably going to get there.

I can totally agree with this. See, I think Jodie is way better than Ginger. Why is Ginger getting better Judges' comments and scores? Are the judges influencing our perception? Did the criticism toward Keo few weeks ago work? Although Val is a more experienced teacher, I didn't think he brought something extra out of Jodie. I also didn't think Kim was THAT much worst with Keo. The Judges' comments, however, were interesting and supported the story line. Speaking of, I thought Mark brought a lot more out of Ginger.

  4. Speaking of Nyle and his comment, RadarOnline reported, just before his snafu, that other celebs don't like him much.

Wanya's dance was the only dance I liked. The rest of celebs look tired or injured.

  5. We also have to remember that the 'old' pros haven't competed in years... I doubt their skills are all that anymore. And Don't get me started on the new pros.

That's what been missing in the last 2-3 seasons, quality pros. They're all faking it.

I have no idea if the above article has a shred of truth to it since I had never heard of Tamar before this season and basically had only heard one of her sister's songs. I tend to be skeptical of the gossipy press and I also like to believe the best about people, but the article does raise some questions in light of some discussions on this board.

Has anyone heard about a "feud" between Tamar and her sisters?

I don't know about "Feud" BUT, Tamar did say in one of her 1st dwts interviews that she didn't tell her sisters about the doing the show.
