  1. I think we're meant to assume the rest of the crew were also teleported to the island, just not in the same area as Hook, Nemo, Liam, Aladdin and Jasmine since they were in the same room together and just get transported to the same area together.

How they plan to make repairs to the Nautilus, I do not know.

"But he has changed, and he shows himself in such a light in that episode where he’s trying to help David find his father that it really woke David up to the fact that he has changed as a man.”

Making it the third time David woke up to this fact, given that he did so in both Season 4 and Season 5 already.

I saw Isaac in the previews for next week and I think I strained something from rolling my eyes.

    JUST. NO.

C'mon, Isaac was fun!  His role in the plot wasn't, but Patrick Fischler gave him a certain sardonic charm.

I'm less excited by the fact that he's only being brought in for a plot centered around Henry.

    They're doing a lot of in-studio last-minute shooting.  Interesting.

Magic. The ring had to be freely given to him.

Yeah, he said once he got it "the crown jewel of Agrabah, freely given..."  The total magical control over Agrabah evidently can only be willingly passed on rather than taken, so that's why he needed Jasmine - the current holder - to pass it on to him.  It's also why Jasmine needed TLK to restore Agrabah instead of using the ring itself, it was never given back to her so she couldn't use its power.

  5. Rewatched the episode, and the hut doesn't seem to be Ariel's actual home, just where she keeps her collection now that she's on land.

So that's at least one plot absurdity solved.

Honestly, the only way this show gets better ratings is if they replace the writing team. And even at that point, the series has gone so far off the rails that it probably won't lure jaded viewers back.

Also, new writers can't help at this point.  The plot and characters have been damaged irreversibly.

That's seems pretty illogical. More like Emma would do the TL kiss on her parents only. And for the record, Hook is not a TL for Snowing. And for one thing, he murdered David's father and David already appeared to be very angry with him for that as well as him lying to him about it.

You don't seem to understand how TLK works.  TLK breaks ANY curse in the area, it doesn't have to be exclusively a curse connected to the people kissing.  Emma kissing Henry - and later Regina kissing Henry - broke the Dark Curse.  Jasmine and Aladdin kissing broke the curse placed on Agrabah. If Emma and Hook shared a TLK in front of Snow and David, it could theoretically break their dual sleeping curse.

    I don't think she & Hook will be reunited until 6x17 :(.

Me too.  But it just suddenly occurred to me...Ginny said she cried when she read how the sleeping curse on Snowing was broken, and that it "actually had nothing to do with Snow and David"....do you think they'll actually have CS share a TLK, and that's what will break Snowing's curse?

Because if they're going to do that, they had better damn well make Emma do something to prove her True Love for Hook after the atrocious way she was written in the recent episode.  Something more that just helping Gidiot out with a problem he could have just asked her to help him with nicely.

  9. I wish Adam hadn't tweeted about Patrick Fischler returning, because if he hadn't then Isaac's appearance on the next episode promo would have been a real "holy shit!" moment for me.  I enjoyed Isaac in spite of the nonsensical Author concept attached to him, so I look forward to seeing both him and Blackbeard again. I couldn't care less about dumbass Gideon and the Black Fairy.

    - Why was Jafar so obsessed with marrying Jasmine? He's all powerful and all that, but he needs to marry Jasmine because why?

He didn't need to marry her, that was just a ruse to get his hands on the ring.

So basically, this entire time, she knew what had happened to Agrabah but she was just lying about it?

While I think Jasmine being responsible for Agrabah's disappearance works better for her story, that was so painfully a retcon that they did not have in mind when writing the earlier episodes, and only applied now since they realized they only had one episode to finish this subplot.

Honestly, I liked this episode better than most here.  Maybe my standards have just gotten so low after how much incredibly crappy episodes we've had in this season.  Plus I love Colin, Karen, Faran, Joanna, and Oded, and I liked seeing them work off of each other.

Bitter about the TLK. Everyone gets one except CS :(

OQ and RB didn't get one either, actually.  (RB almost had one, but Rumple was having none of it once he realized it could break his Dark One curse.)

  12. Aladdin's still a total fail of a character, but I might be alone in actually liking Jasmine in this episode.  Karen David had much more to work with.

I feel that all of her angst over Agrabah was made more understandable when we know that it wasn't just a case of her not being strong enough to defeat Jafar, but that she literally handed the guy the thing that made it disappear.  And admit it, her suckerpunch defeat of Jafar was badass.

It’s like lying and separations have become the hallmarks of Hook & Emma’s epic romance. UGH.

To be fair, Snowing, RB and OQ are exactly the same.  Lying and separations are the only drama these writers are capable of writing for couples.

I have more to say, but all I can think right now is good god Henry you are such a lazy piece of fish.

I'm headcanoning that Henry's the only one with any faith in Hook after 6x06, and he was too lazy to carry out his stuff on purpose.

So what I'm getting is that they are finally making Emma save the day after not doing so for so long.

Seriously.  The last time she saved the day was when she united and led everyone to save Henry in the Neverland arc.

(No, I'm not counting the S3 finale, since she also created that mess in the first place.)

  15. Let as all weep for the wasted potential that was not making Jafar this season's Big Bad.  Seriously, Oded was PHENOMENAL in this one.

I especially loved how much more noticeably unhinged his genie!Jafar was.  It's a logical continuation to his total freak-out at the end of OUATIW.

All mains dressed in modern attire in the caves. Belle also has her wedding ring on, so it looks like RB is back together by this point.

Robert's double as imp Rumple was in a cave backdrop, so I guess this is where they either change into EF form or out of it.

    Quote

Enchanted Forest people were sent away during/after the wedding and returned just in time to see Emma battle Gideon.

But again, Rumple was seen in EF form, and we also know he was with the Black Fairy in Storybrooke.  It's all so very confusing.

  17. The good news: the finale won't be another Emma/Regina adventure, since Regina is confirmed to be EF-ized and stuck with David, Snow, Hook, and Zelena alongside Aladdin and Jasmine (and yes, Deniz Akdeniz was finally confirmed to be involved, not just Karen David).

The bad news: the finale will be another Henry adventure.  *head, meet desk*

Frankly, the only reason why I don't feel the same way about Hook as Regina is the Writers don't go all over-the-top with the Charmings fawning over him.  They have a working relationship and now a developing familial one.  Otherwise, he would be another Regina-like presence on the show.

I would be much more OK with that if it weren't for the REC in play.  That just makes it frustrating - I don't want them to fawn over Hook, but to treat him they way they do when he has done so much more good for them than Regina - and not half as much bad - while worshiping at Regina's alter...

    Quote

Now that Hook and Emma are in a relationship, and after the times Hook has proved himself, and the things they've all been through together, it's just unbelievable that they fall back on "he's a pirate, and therefore not trustworthy" schtick for the sake of ~drama.

Exactly.  I'm sick of the inconsistency of it all, too.  Snow, Charming and Henry need to choose how they feel about him and stick with it.  They just keep going up and down, when at least Regina, Rumple, Zelena, Belle and (until recently) Emma have held pretty consistent views of Hook.
