If it were Jackie Chan as Passepartout, that would certainly be most interesting.
About Dorian: methinks it isn't just that he's ridiculously handsome, it's that he is, in the original sense of the word, mesmerizing. You can't help but make out with him once you're in his clutches. With him, you're pretty much compelled to go whole hog and cast your inhibitions to the winds, if you will.
He could be a Skinwalker or a Shapeshifter. I tend to go for the latter because Skinwalkers, in the Navajo culture are evil witches who are only out to harm others, and while someone is killing people in a wolf-like fashion, he is still capable of loving and kind behavior.I'll subscribe to this theory.

Didn't McGucket make the huge Gideon-bot in "Gideon Rises"? There's a giant robot for us!
Ah, forgot that Gideon-bot. That was already a Jaeger in spirit, I guess.
Another favorite: "Dipper versus Manliness". That was definitely an episode with a powerful lesson: it's the moxie to stand up for your convictions that makes a man of you.

Ultimate of course being giant robots punching giant monsters (or dinosaurs) in the face.
So what's the over-under on getting something like Pacific Rim on Gravity Falls? The only robot we've seen so far is that Gobblewonker bot by McGucket.
With respect to episodes, it is clear that "Land Before Swine" is very much awesome, if only due to the image of Stan punching the pterodactyl. But, I'd also like to submit "Dreamscaperers" as an awesome episode; after all, who'd have thought of beating Bill Cipher with Kitten Fists and other such oddities?

Heh, I had the thought while watching "Carpet Diem" that Soos wouldn't have minded a whit if he had to spend the rest of his life in Waddles's body. Waddles leads a charmed life, after all. The only sticking point was that McGucket's relentless desire to eat him.

I only recently learned Erlich from Silicon Valley is also played by the guy voicing Robbie; it makes sense now that I want to punch both characters in the teeth, but at least Erlich is more useful than Robbie. All Robbie can do is wear tight leather pants ant paint tower muffins.
Dipper: We need to make a cold war pact.
Robbie: Okay. What's that?
Dipper: We need to learn to hate each other, in silence.
Robbie: You mean. like, what girls do?
Dipper: Yeah, exactly! What girls do.-

Dammit, first Proteus, now Van Helsing. I am now even less sympathetic to "Caliban" than I used to be. I really wanted to see more of Van Helsing, but he did say "my life is practically over", and we all know what happens when people say lines like that in works such as these.
With all due to respect to Miss Ives, allow me to quote the wise man Troy Barnes from Community: "I have the weirdest boner." Nevertheless, her infernal, uhurm, internal entity seems to be activated every time she comes, so that may be a deal-breaker. Though she did the cutest mid-air twirl at the end of the episode...
Sembene seems to be the latest in a long string of those who think Mina's a lost cause, and I think he seems to be the most compelling one to say so.
And now, Mister Gray. I actually hope that we never get to see the portrait that restores his vitality every time he gazes at it. Surely, whatever they might show on-screen can never compare to what we're imagining it to be, Still, I am now taking bets that he'd come through the rest of the cast before this season ends.

I think the majority of Airplane! had me constantly in stitches. Every time I watch it, I have to pause the DVD to laugh at a joke, play it again once I recover, and then have to pause again to laugh at the next joke, and so on.

Ah, Wendy. Dipper crushes on her so bad, and she tends to goof around more than actually work in the Mystery Shack. Yet somehow I feel she's the least developed of the regular characters. I don't think there's really been a story in the first season that focused on her, so I hope the second season can amend that.
I've had a crush on Linda Cardellini since Freaks and Geeks, so finding out she was on Gravity Falls was a very pleasant surprise.

I'm frankly shocked he survived the last season.
My surprise was that Rachel chose to poison Mozzie with the one plant in that garden that actually has a known antidote (belladonna) instead of the one that would rather assuredly kill him (castor bean). Did she actually care for Neal (and thus Mozzie), in a way?
In any event, Mozzie does seem to have a lot of street-smarts, and I wouldn't mind learning some from him.

Funny, the lack of dialogue in Chuck Jones's work is precisely why I liked it a lot as a child (and still do as an adult). That they can be funny without saying anything had intrinsic appeal to the minimalist in me. (The delightfully nutty landscapes were nicely done to, I think.) Jones's installments of Tom and Jerry also appealed to me for similar reasons.
But the best thing about the old ones is that I'm not sure the new ones would have had the guts to do something like "Duck Amuck". Dicking Daffy around in a meta manner was just awesome.

After the reveal that Erlich also screwed the Disrupt judge's new wife, all I could think was that Erlich was one magnificent bastard. I didn't know that I could both admire and hate a character all at the same time.

Well, with respect to the paper of Chugtai and Gilfoyle, typesetting in LaTeX certainly legitimizes everything. Only thing missing was it being uploaded to CiteSeer, if the guys there had a sense of humor.
I'd say this was the best executed dick joke I've ever seen, and that it spurred Richard to develop a novel algorithm was the icing on a wonderful cake. Serendipity is always a wonderful thing.
I am definitely looking forward to the second season!

Boy, belladonna seems to be getting name-checked a bit more frequently in TV. First White Collar, now Penny Dreadful. In any event, Dorian's reading of Vanessa does seem apt. She is a beautiful lady ("bella donna") harboring a terrible secret.
Eva Green is just wonderful. I already was a fan of her from her performance in Kingdom of Heaven. Here, she lends Vanessa much gravitas.

I sometimes try to find ways to use "Where did I put that rat's ass that I could give?" and "That idea might make a stupid idea feel better about itself." in everyday conversation. Emerson is truly a fountain of quotables.
But the piece of dialogue in this show that struck me the most was this:
Ned: This is pushing your luck.
Chuck: Yeah, well, luck pushed me first.
At that moment, I knew exactly how Chuck felt.

...I had wished it could be Raul Esparza's traveling salesman character. He was so romantic in his approach to her, so appreciative of her, and he could fix her espresso machine!
Ah, I quite liked Alfredo Aldarisio more than Randy for Olive myself, as well. Sad that Raul Esparza couldn't find time to pop up once more.
With this show, I came for Lee Pace, but stayed for La Chenoweth. She was awesome, and that Olive was actually once a jockey (at the Jock-Off 2000, no less!) was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time, and this is a show that had a lot of funny in it for something so morbid.

I'm also putting money on Brona being... "crafted" to be Caliban's mate. The juxtaposition of her being "consumed" with Caliban's quest is just too bloody convenient.
And now for something non-spoilery: I guess I'm not supposed to find her accent grating, but I do. It's becoming hard for me to separate my annoyance with her brogue from my compassion for her character.

I know that the show is about [Chuck and Sarah], but the creators have done such a great job with the supporting cast, that I find myself wishing that some of their stories weren't glossed over so much.
At some points of the last three seasons, I found myself wishing that there'd be a mission where it was only Morgan, Sarah, and Casey, which was how annoyed I was whenever Chuck was a whiny wuss.
...I'm not so sure I'm crazy about the new Intersect where Chuck can flash on certain abilities and just be able to do them (Kung Fu, surgery). I'm willing to give it a chance, though, because I know they need his character to grow and change a little.
In fact, if memory serves, some of the post-Intersect 2.0 episodes that were quite highly regarded involved Chuck merely having an info flash (as opposed to an ability flash) and then using his noggin to plan and act on the information he got from the flash. Case in point would be "Push Mix": he tricked Volkoff into thinking Orion was still up and about, and was able to get him to say his vocal passphrase piece by piece.
You seem to be a new viewer, so I'd like to ask you something: what do you think about the Subway product placement? I had figured newbies might be justifiably annoyed by something we laughed at and appreciated at the time of airing.
...to be fair, I think the show would have done a lot more exploring of the rest of the characters if it wasn't always 30 seconds away from being cancelled. They always had to write the story arcs in a way that finished seasons as if there were not going to be another one.

Probably his only cooler moment was when he revealed that he had the first diary all along. As much of a stretch this is, I think Stan is a bit like Orion from Chuck. And not just because he has a lot clutched to his chest.

But in all seriousness, she's just adorable. I'm usually annoyed at characters that act like her, so I don't know just how Kristen Schaal does it.

(It was a toss-up on whether to post this topic here or in the comics section of the site, but I ultimately went for this one.)
So, let's talk webcomics. What webcomics do you read regularly? What would you recommend to others? What webcomics would you be advised to stay the hell away from? (And other such webcomic-related stuff.)
To start off: my regular reading list is Cyanide and Happiness, xkcd, and Sam and Fuzzy, while I only look at SMBC every so often.
