I’m trying to post for the first time. Who’s hand is showing in the fourth row on the right?

The actual squad photo should be up sometime after the episode airs (since that's how they did it last year), but in the meantime...

VK looks really pretty in that photo.   So do Kat and Kristen.   Some pretty rookies this year.

I think Molly looks pretty of the vets.

Alanna’s placement is interesting to me considering she’s front and center on CMT MTT’s social media. IIRC, she’s front and flanked by Ashlee (front row) and Daphne (third.) Everyone has to fit into the pic, but I thought she would be closer up.

I think it's more "Judy's granddaughter" than "Princess Cassie." If/when Kelli gets a granddaughter, she'll be right there, too.

. . . And FTLOG let the USO Tour die . . . talk about a dead horse . . . 😆😅😂

I'm not so sure about that. I don't recall seeing any old Sam F team pictures.

Maybe she never wanted to be in them. My girls would have taken a HARD pass on being in a photo like that.

Why does VK's mom shirt say No?

I think that was just from the gif someone made. It wasn't actually on her shirt.

You think right! From the No. Narrative. What. So. Ever. gif the talented Illegitimate DCC posted on page one of the E12 Time is Running Out thread.

I'm not saying she has to be in them, I'm simply stating that Kelli F doesn't seem Ride or Die DCC in the same Judy does. Therefore, I doubt, if Sam F produces a girl child that we'll see photos similar to the way we see them from Cassie.

Oh ok, although I don’t see any evidence that Kelli isn’t just as “ride or die.”

I’m probably in the minority but I feel like it’s not exactly an imposition to pose with the granddaughter of their Choreographer. It doesn’t seem like the girls mind and I doubt any of them are petty enough to care when asked to do so. The girls all seem to like Judy. They all pose happily with each of the guest choreographers that visit.  It’s basically the same thing. I don’t think it has anything to do with Cassie. Maybe she wasn’t even there. Judy could have brought the kids with her.

I think it’s quite different with the guest choreographers. First of all, they’re industry connections and they’ve just spent a whole night teaching them. And having to pose on your knees etc for hours on end and then prolonging it so that a random kid gets a photo IS annoying and obnoxious. If that was one off it would be fine, but she’s doing it every damn year. At least now she’s old enough to behave, but think about the poor girls who had to wait until she stopped crying or throwing a tantrum to take the photo.

Looks like we have our answer "officially" of how they're going to handle 37.  Did I hear "internal audition" mentioned as to how they're going to determine the 36 for gameday? Do they always have security escorting them when walking in the stadium? Is that a thing?

Yep. Happens a lot on college dance teams.   They  "audition" weekly trying out that weeks halftime dance. The difference is multiple people sit out, not one person.   And they often do radically different dances each week, which plays to different strengths.  Most of DCC is the same stuff every week.

I'm actually wondering if they're really having to "audition" to perform this year much due to injuries/illnesses.  Who was that that was hurt in last wks show?  And how in the world can someone supposedly as bad as Meredith pick up the choreo for DIFFERENT spots in the routine (it's not like the alternates are dancing in the same position each week)?

If the audition were based on performance, Meredith would always be sitting.

They'll never sit Victoria for any reason.

The person "sitting out" the game just sits out pregame right? Do they have to also sit out the cheering on the sidelines?  Another thought....maybe TPTB are having people sit out games to "prove" their "world class" dancers can adapt to changing formations "every week"?

Exactly!  And Judy is the ONLY person who has worked for or is currently working for the DCC organization who was a DCC and who also has a daughter that was a DCC and now has a granddaughter that seems to be interested in all things DCC. I can’t believe anyone would begrudge posing for a quick picture with a little child.

I'm guessing Kat was safe and it was down to Lily and Meredith.

Sounds like the Mavs Dancers used to do. Each girl had to audition to see who would dance at a game.

I know Sam did modeling for the old kid's costume because someone posted one on social media. Did Kelli not have team pictures done or was it just pre-social media & they're not floating around? The only reason we really see Lennon's is because Cassie puts them on instagram (don't recall if it's ever been shown on MTT). We know Judy did Cassie when she was little, but are those pics floating around or do we just know they were taken?

ETA: Not sure if this was a costume modeling pic or an excerpt from a team photo?

Not just custom made, but custom made from the actual DCC seamstress herself, if memory serves.

Hi all....first time poster. I 'discovered' this show a few years back and have watched with interest, amusement, and growing appreciation for the cheerleaders/dancers over the years.

For the most part I have agreed with Kelli about who got selected/cut at auditions - with the exception of the past 2 years. It's really unsettling what the dancers are put to in an 8 week audition process: anxiety, egg shell walking, and stuffing down normal human emotions for what you think you need to do to keep your head above DCC waters.

I think what was the tipping point for me was what happened to Jaylyn. As most people have mentioned , she reacted very professionally, and it was Kelli who watched Jaylyn's every move post announcement of show group - trying to 'catch her' in a behavior she could throw in her face. Well, there never was one. (Please announce show group during a break or at the end of practice...give them time to process)

So much has been said about Victoria...I will try to keep it brief. Last year's shenanigans could have been COMPLETELY avoided, had they gracefully cut her after a few weeks. (even for just weight alone) It would have spared her the embarrassment of being called out for weight gain, etc. Victoria's maturity level falls completely on her family and upbringing...very sad she was sacred to tell her mom about cut. (from last year) That speaks volumes. Kelli is also to blame. A lot. She should have spoken with both Victoria and her mother that Victoria auditioning would bring about a heightened observation about her. Kelli should have publicly held Victoria to a HIGHER standard than the other girls. By favoring her, she has made the other girls on team cautious and resentful about Victoria...actually robbing Victoria of real, genuine relationships with her teammates. I do think Victoria looks great this year and earned her way on the team. But.....Kelli's 'edit' of Victoria's narrative, has again backfired. There is NO WAY she is the best dancer on team (Travis Wall's credibility went out the window for me with that comment) and although I think she is good for a DCC dancer (look, style, nice figure), I do not think she should have gotten show group. I also saw obvious errors in her dancing that was never called out. I don't agree she 'stole' Jaylyn's spot (as some have speculated), as Jaylyn is one of the best dancers on the whole dam team....Jaylyn got robbed because of some petty grievance with Kelli. End of story. (for the record, I also think Erin should have made show group over some others)

There is a lot more I could get into....I really admire the girls for putting up with so much to 'live this dream'. I don't think I could put up with it. (it feels like an 8 week hazing) My adrenal glands would be shot!

I like a lot of the dancers for very different reasons...I feel Hannah, Jaylyn, Gina, and Amber are the strongest dancers (although Rachel W is also strong), and I also like Erin, Brennan, Heather, both Rachels, and Christina. (I feel badly she gets  a lot of negative feedback here...she looks good this season)

About me....I am a full time ballet teacher and choreographer. Am also a costume designer. Don't want to say much more than that!

Wow ...  TK must be one intense mama...  VK was scared to tell mama TK she didn’t make the team last year, and Kelli continued to be scared of her if VK didn’t make the team.  Some friend...

The one worn by Cassie's daughter was custom made by DCC seamstress, Lisa Dobson. I'll see if I can find it on her Instagram. I know she's mentioned it before.

The stars look different, and there's 3 on each side of the vest not 2.  The top ties like the adult tops too not like the other girls.   Not sure if it's custom made,  or just a better costume.  The quality does look more high end though, fitted.

Could be, but there could also just be a lot of love and friendship over the years, and no one likes to disappoint the people they care about.  It's normal to dread giving bad news to anyone.  Kelli has shed tears on air about cutting people she barely knows, much less someone she's known from the womb.  And ultimately, Kelli knows she's in charge of the team.  She had to put her job first over her chosen family and that had to have sucked, even though it was (well past time) the right thing to do.

Kelli and TK have been BFF since the early 80's...they've weathered good times and bad, raised their kids together, etc.  At the end of the day, these people we watch on tv are human.  I never ever want to disappoint my momma, and I'm not scared of her one little bit.  VK knew it was her own fault she didn't make the team last year, and of course she was worried about telling her mom.

I agree.  My mom used to tell me all I really had that mattered was your name.  And I better not do anything to embarrass that.

A deceased friend of mine told me the worst thing his father ever said to him was, on a particular day, that he was disappointed in his behavior.
