Kayce May 20, 2019 Share May 20, 2019 (edited) So far, here is who I have seen on IG that have confirmed they've made finals: Victoria, Jasmin, Malena, Kristin, Lily, Taylor T (all 6 were cut TCC from last year) , Gina Campagna, Chandi Dayle, Lacey, Alexandra Mica/Pena, Emily Shymkiew, Brianna Shea (former finalist), Sheridan Donovant, Meredith Madden, Raven Elize Anzaldua, Katy Shaffer, Amanda Dilks, Ariana Vargas, Lauren Ligon, Tiff Taliaferro, Lisa Mills, Lauren Ligon, and Kelcey Wetterburg... Obviously there are several more but I don't follow them on IG (yet lol ). I believe I did see that Ashley Hancock and Julia Fife from DMD made finals as well. So MTT has their sacrificial lambs for the show (Malena), and some comeback stories to follow. I wonder if they'll focus on the Mavs dancers going for DCC, after they were dumped. Charlotte, Kelli and CMT probably thought no one would put two and two together when it came to Victoria. People started spilling the beans right away, so I am sure Kelli is trying to close up any inside information leaks this year. Good luck Kelli because fans and viewers are on to you. In the case of Victoria and the one thyroid med, a person does not need to see a doctor to get the medication. There is a reason why they put the do not take for weight loss because it could lead to hyperthyroidism in the medication letter. Knowing Tina, she probably would find a way to get the medication for Victoria. You would think someone in the organization would have taken a hard long look at what happened with Courtney, Kaitlin and Amy C. when it comes to weight loss issues, and of course girls like Cassie, Jenna, Erica and Holly when it comes to attitude, mean girls, and getting away with certain things while other girls would get cut for doing the same thing. I personally think Kelli is more interested in what the show has brought the DCC organization and protecting the brand than the safety and well being of the girls. Link to comment

I was a huge fan of Malena's last season....just a really gorgeous girl who seemed very mature and dedicated to me. I know she lost people when she 1) quit her job, and then 2) had her breakdown, but to play devil's advocate, I could see why both happened. Getting your dream job is a huge deal, and you absolutely have to make sacrifices to move forward in your career. That said, your career is something that will be ongoing throughout your life, and there is a very finite amount of time you have to dance professionally, especially on a platform like DCC. I could see why she might make that a priority, if she had both dreams - and if her dreams pertain to sports programs, particularly football, DCC could open many doors for her during her tenure. Career would (arguably) still be there (and possibly enhanced by the experience she would gain as a DCC), whereas DCC wouldn't. Her breakdown was painful to watch, and my heart went out to her - but I don't think for a minute that it means she's somehow not stable just because she lost it. I mean seriously, she was probably dealing with any number of physical difficulties (being exhausted from serious, full-on dancing for how many hours, likely famished, and wicked tired since I believe it was quite late at night when she was finally cut), and the complex emotional difficulties (feeling as though she wasn't good enough as a dancer for another professional team and being desperate to prove herself, having quit a job she cared about, relocating to a whole new place, and investing herself with friendships and bonding with other girls on the team who were going to go on while she wouldn't be). Also, I remember something that TCC Rose said after she was cut in one of the previous seasons that broke my heart for her, and something I think all the girls who are cut deal with on one level or another - that you dream about a future, and vest yourself in it, and are happy thinking about it, and then it doesn't happen that way - and even if it does happen down the line, it won't be quite the same. I am very emotional as well and that's something I struggle with professionally - balancing the real need to hold it together with how much of your heart you put into what you do can be really hard sometimes, and if you can't do it, you can compromise your professional reputation and lose out on important opportunities. For me, Brennan is a perfect example of someone who has really excelled at this type of balance, and was eventually able to work beyond it and succeed. I hope so much for Malena's sake that she has found a better balance, whether she makes it to training camp or not - and that she has worked past her memory issues more fully than some of the other posters and experienced dancers here have observed so far, or she is in for more heartbreak, and I really don't want that for her. 26 Link to comment
