Yeah. His website isn't that popular. Unless we're actually voting he doesn't get much traction. He only gets page hits with these awards cause people want their fav to win.

I only vote in his awards polls because he's so anti-Felicity/Olicity, so I want her/them to do well.

In any event, Supernatural and Lucifer seem to be dominating the wins so far. But Arrow and Arrow stars/characters have been placing pretty high up.

Who is the #1 Unsung Hero on TV? Throughout the month of April, CarterMatt is bringing to you an article series that is all about highlighting some of the characters and performances worthy of so much more credit than what they have received to date.

Felicity Smoak – Not only has Emily Bett Rickards’ character done a tremendous job of redefining what it means to be a hero within Star City on Arrow, but we’d apply that to almost all of comic-book TV. She’s shown that there is a path to being a comedic presence and a powerful catalyst without needing to wear a costume much of the time. Her popularity speaks to the power of her as a relatable, likable hero who is still fighting to be the best person she can. (Read full feature.)

Felicity and Regina have advanced to the semi-final round of CarterMatt's Unsung Hero Showdown, which round begins tomorrow, Tuesday, April 24 - I believe the vote result was 45% for Felicity and 43% for Regina (fyi, there are parallel contests running with other tv shows, which produce their own two actors for the semi-final round)...

Unsung Hero Showdown: Felicity Smoak, Regina Mills advance to semifinals
April 22, 2018
https://cartermatt.com/303747/unsung-hero-showdown-felicity-smoak-regina-mills-advance/

Quote

These two characters each advanced to the next round of our ongoing poll series and when you look at the vote tallies alone, this was really not all that close. The characters from Arrow and Once Upon a Time each dominated with a rather large percentage of the overall vote — the final result was actually pretty close between the two, but given that there are TWO characters advancing to the semifinals they were each able to advance.

It’s not too much of a surprise to see either one of these characters move on when you consider 1) the love that there is for both of these shows from some of their fans and 2) how much they each mean to their respective shows. With Regina we have what we like to consider a near-constant reminder that redemption is possible almost no matter who you are. She’s become heroic thanks to the love of those close to her and a better understanding of her own potential. Meanwhile, Felicity has helped to make it possible for anyone to be a hero — it’s not just about those who sport costumes and spend their nights heading out into the city to fight bad guys.

So where do things go from here in the tournament? That’s rather simple — Felicity and Regina join Alicia from Fear the Walking Dead and also Nicole from Wynonna Earp in the semifinals, which will begin formally on Tuesday, April 24. Over the course of a few days those six will compete in head-to-head showdowns before the finals begin on Saturday, April 28. As we start to narrow things down in the quest to find the #1 Unsung Hero on television, you better be prepared for things to heat up!

Still don't understand why Regina is in the UNsung Hero list.  She gets more credit already than she probably deserves, lol. I don't hate her but she was right next to all the other "heroes" on that show after the first couple seasons.

Writer-producer-actor Lena Waithe, prolific showunner Greg Berlanti and Dominic Barton of global consulting firm McKinsey & Co. will honored at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE New York gala.

The organization chose the honorees for their commitment to supporting the Trevor Project’s mission to provide crisis intervention services and end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning LGBTQ young people under age 25. The trio will be honored at the June 11 fundraiser, which is being billed as "an irreverent evening of music and comedy," at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.

"Lena Waithe, Greg Berlanti and Dominic Barton have each made an unprecedented positive impact on the lives of young LGBTQ people in the last year," said Amit Paley, CEO and executive director of the Trevor Project. "We're incredibly excited to honor them for their commitment to fostering an accepting environment for LGBTQ youth through their innovative work and leadership."

Welcome to the semifinals of the Unsung Hero Showdown! Over the past few weeks many of you out there have been voting for some of the characters on television you believe are the most underrated and in need of support — which, in turn, has led to us being where we are today. There are only six contenders left and over the next couple of days, we’ll face some head-to-head showdowns to determine the three who will face off in the finals starting on April 28.

Voting Rules – Vote however many times you like! Voting is open between now and 1:00 p.m. Pacific time on Saturday, April 28. The Unsung Hero with the most votes, as mentioned, will be brought into the finals.

Felicity Smoak – Felicity had a pretty powerful run in the first round of the Showdown, generating a ton of buzz at a time in which her story was really starting to heat up on Arrow season 6. We’re now at a point in which that season is starting to get into its home stretch, which hopefully is going to mean some more big stories for her. It’s pretty hard to not feature her given her prominence both in Team Arrow and in Oliver’s life. She’s deserving of the attention as a multi-faceted character and really a prime example as a hero who doesn’t need a costume in order to succeed.

Along with Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), she is just one of nine DC Entertainment characters to make it to the second round, compared to 26 from Marvel Studios.

Thirty-five characters made the cut—slightly more than planned. The bottom three—Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper)—tied with 0.26 percent of the votes, meaning they barely made it to the next phase of the tournament. So if you're a fan of that particular trio, now is the time to make your voice heard.

Voting for Round 2 will remain open until Thursday, May 3, at 5 a.m. PT.

I wonder why they paired them off in this round?

Probably to get more fans voting. Head-to-head matchups give more of a sense of competition.

I voted couple times, but the page has a clip with loud, obnoxious music that auto-plays and drives me nuts, Sorry, GA. You're just going to have to settle for being the only TV hero that made it this far.

Sadly but not surprisingly, Green Arrow (SA) did not survive to the Final 4 round...

Ultimate Superhero Tournament: Vote in the Final 4 Now

The votes have been tallied in E! News' Ultimate Superhero Tournament, and Marvel Studios' Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) are advancing to the Final 4 along with DC Entertainment's sole semifinalist: Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Fans have already seen two of the heroes go head-to-head in hand-to-hand combat (in 2016's Captain America: Civil War), but this is the first time Thor is taking on Wonder Woman. Last summer, Gadot and Hemsworth both put their money on the Amazonian princess—but now it's up to fans to pick the winner. Voting will stay open until Saturday, May 12, at 5 a.m. PT.

Bolded names are currently in the lead (but the races are close):
Captain America (CE) vs. Iron Man (RDJ)
Thor (CH) vs. Wonder Woman (GG)

ETA: UPDATE: Wonder Woman won this tournament and is the Ultimate Superhero. She got 60.44% of the vote and beat Captain America (read here).

AgentReign........... is that Alex/Sam?  I didn't realize that had gotten popular.

ETA:  And Olicity is 4th now.....looks like the SuperCorp shippers have arrived.

AvaLance is in second place. Are they that great together?

In my opinion, no. Jes seems like a nice person but she plays Ava too robotic. Plus their interest in each other came out of nowhere onscreen and they were exchanging ‘I love yous’ after only a few weeks of sleeping together. Way too rushed.

Agreed - I’m not a fan, but they have a big Tumblr following (and probably Twitter too but I don’t have a Twitter acct).

I actually got to like Ava during the second half of the season, but I still don’t care much for the pairing.  Way too rushed and by the numbers IMO.

I don't follow shipping all that much, so I really wish they would put characters' names with those ships because I have no idea who half of those ships are supposed to be.

Guess whose awards competition is starting up again? Here's the first voting category - Best Episode of S6 - tbh, I don't even remember all of this past season's episodes, so I voted for 604-Reversal...

2018 GreenArrowTV Awards: Pick The Best Episode of Arrow Season 6!

Now that it’s summer hiatus time, it’s time to start collecting votes for this year’s GreenArrowTV Awards – honoring the best and not-so-best of the recent Arrow season. We’ve been doing this since Season 1, and now it’s time to play favorites for Season 6!
*  *  *
Votes are limited to ONE vote per IP. This means, there’s no way to “cheat” on this poll that we are aware of, and as such, the responses will be accurate.
*  *  *
The polls will remain open until we’re done for the summer. We’re keeping all polls open throughout the process, until the time we make the final tally. Do know, though, if you already voted and are given another opportunity to vote later, only the first vote from your IP will be counted.

Results will be posted before the start of Arrow Season 7.

Reversal, Fundamentals, and The Ties that Bind were the only possible choices, IMO. But I chose Reversal because it was pre-Dragon and there was nothing I didn't like about it, other than Slade cockblocking Oliver at the end.

My headcanon is that they went at it after the call anyway, considering Oliver didn't tell Felicity what exactly Slade asked for until the next episode.
