They are the first wardrobe choice of Nicole, who it seems has been on EVERY version of the 90 Day Franchise.

I tried on a top at Target or someplace and was about to ask for a discount because the sleeves were torn.  Then I realized they were supposed to be that way.  Maybe these women are wearing them because that's all that's sold in lower-market stores like Target or Walmart.

And no, I would never wear one either.  I just don't see the point.

I think Tiffany wants to get pregnant in order to provide an anchor baby for Ronald-trying to "outsmart" the U.S. immigration rules and requirements.  Similar to Rachel and Jon and their cries of "it's not fair that our family can't be together."  Like immigration will go 'oh yes, you and your beloved are super special so we'll change all of our policies for you...'  I hope Tiffany stays in SA, even though I hope Daniel gets to come back to the U.S. and live with someone who will truly put him and his interests first.

Paul and Karine are really pretty perfect for each other.  I wonder if both of them thought that if she got pregnant that his mother would sponsor her and pay for them to live in Kentucky.  I really hope Paul's mom doesn't get involved and just lets Paul finally face consequences for his actions.  I laughed out loud when Paul said he should return to the U.S. where he can quickly find a job and earn money.  Sigh.

Jenny wants to be all fierce and "independent" but doesn't take the time to figure out how to do so.  She went to the cyber cafe-she should have just stayed there after talking with her daughter to research job opportunities and requirements in India.  I think she just likes drama and so creates it in her life.  The love of my life is in India!  He tried to scam me but now he's in love with me!  I will move to India!  With $6,000!  Even her choice to wear flesh colored leggings created drama and I wouldn't be surprised if she knew that.  Oh Jenny.  Oh, and for how could Summit afford the haircut when he's not working?  I bet his parents gave him the money for the haircut and told him to get one.

Now Deaven doesn't want to move to Korea.  I think it's in the best interest of their son if Jihoon sues for custody and then takes their son to live in Korea.

Gotta love how Tiffany talks like she knows something and is counseling US!  She's sitting in a shit hole with an ex con and addict and has her son exposed to sex trafficers and she's telling us in her chats how it is.

Yes Tiffany do have a baby in the mix of all of this.

Money talks and bullshit walks comes to mind.

Anyone else notice all the signs in English when Jenny was in the rickshaw? A car that looked like a taxi that said "TOURIST" on the windshield, store fronts that said "JAGGA BUS SERVICE," "BABA CYBER CAFE," "[indecipherable] PAINTERS & PRINTERS," sidewalk signs that said "PHOTOSTAT/PRINT OUTS/RESUME/FLEX BOARD/PUMPHLETS"(sic), a billboard across from the employment agency of a Honda scooter with "2999 LOW DOWN PAYMENT Love is Growing" - and tons more. The employment agency even had a sign next to the front door that said "Computer Operator, Security Guard, Housekeeping, Banking..." But she can't find anybody to speak English with. Even the employment agency guy clearly had SOME English, which she didn't understand either.

I think English is pretty commonly used in India, which explains all of the call centers based there  . . . taking calls from Americans in Kansas City dissatisfied with their Amazon purchase and talking to "Jason" (who is actually in Mumbai).

From what I know English is the common language along with Hindi. There are something like 24 different languages common in India, so most everyone there  shares English and  Hindi as  common languages, along with whatever their local one is Ie. Bengali, Gujarati etc

YES! And it seemed like the sign on the internet cafe she used to Skype with her daughter was the same one we had seen earlier below the employment agency.

English is one of India's main languages, at least in the cities, and among educated people. That guy at the employment agency was a producer plant or my name isn't Pepper Mostly. The signs on the door were in English, and the guy could barely contain hiimself, he was throwing in English words and phrases, probably because the scene would have taken five years if he hadn't. Jenny is a silly woman who is making a complete spectacle of herself. Hey, I'm older than Jenny and I defend the right of any older lady to be as foolish as she wishes in her dotage. Just DON'T do it on TV! She could have had her little misadventure, gone home with an empty wallet and her tail between her legs, and moved on to her next folly. But now she has strangers on the internet pointing and laughing. That's gotta sting.

Yeah, the "pre-eclampsia" I referred to is high blood pressure that can develop late in pregnancy and it is often the reason for a caesarean section.  An "emergency" c-section isn't always life-threatening; my emergency c-section was performed because my baby was in full breech position and had a really big head.   And it was no big deal.

I think she works hard at making Jihoon feel guilty.

Yeah but drama, drama, drama!  Anyway, not discounting her or anyone's experience I was just pointing out there were two dates.

It drove me insane every time Jenny spoke to any of the locals. She put on this fake accent/voice as if by talking to them like that would magically make them understand her or vice versa. The way she said "don't take me to the wrong place" or whatever to the rickshaw guy in the street sounded like she was talking to a child. That is something that just makes me crazy.

I can't figure out Summit. He doesn't seem like a con artist to me, which of course could make him the best con artist ever. If he has a wife and kids, why was he looking online and hooked up with a 60 year old gal and actually encouraged her to move there. He is willing to be seen in public with her as long as it is nowhere near his parents. I just don't get it. I though he might be gay as well but then you'd expect that he hooked up with Jenny so his parents could see he is "not" gay and think "Well, at least he's with someone."

Jihoon seems like a good guy but call me cynical. I have many friends whose husbands were all mush and goo after their kid was born and it was short lived. Once the real work of getting up, changing diapers and essentially just sitting home all the time waiting for the baby to need you and all bets were off and the mushy goo went away.

Godzilla was very quiet in her scenes so maybe we just caught her on a very bad day with her frazzled, neurotic mother at the airport. Although her behavior when Jihoon's parents were there was horrific as well. We'll see.

I like how Ronald said, "I'm not working now but [I plan to] work at the Wellness Center." He seems to think that because he went through the program that that somehow qualifies him to treat and counsel people on their addictions? Please. I would guess that having someone out of rehab so soon even just chatting about experiences with a new, incoming addict would be very dangerous because the "graduate" is still in a very precarious situation. Just because you finish whatever time you have there does not mean you are fully fixed and ready to take on everything. It was good that he was able to walk out of the casino, but did he walk out of there with white knuckles? How many people who give up drinking think they are in the clear if they go to a single party and are able to stick with seltzer or cola? I just don't see how he would qualify for any job there.

Tiffany is a moron. That is all. The badge of honor real estate people trying to look badass were all too familiar to me growing up in NYC and knowing some of the types that @Neurochick and @Pepper Mostly mentioned who essentially "brag" about being from a big, bag place as if that's some sort of badge of honor.

Karine is just a filthy looking, gross pig. As is Paul. They made quite a mess of things and I have to say that I frankly do not care.

Paul is a classic abuser and manipulator. His reactions are to blame Karine when confronted with the truth about himself. "You want me to leave? You want a divorce? See how you make me react?" I fully believe he stalked his Ex and threatened her. The way Ronald looks at Tiffany when she disagrees with him strikes me as someone with a deep seated anger problem. The biggest danger in South Africa is the one sleeping next to her. Daeven is a drama Queen. People have C sections everyday, it is not a death warrant.

I like Deavan, but I don't know when she is going to realize it sounds foolish to say she doesn't know if Jihoon can support her and that she barely knows him when they both consented to have unprotected sex and a life. Like you went through all the trouble to win his parents approval and show them a nice time in America to emphasize you don't know Jihoon. I am sure it just fear and nervousness about the next steps in life that she is taking that is making her say such silly things,  but really.  It's obvious they both care for each other and he wants to be a father to Drusilla. Stop doubting Jihoon. He is one of the most normal people who have been in franchise.

I was actually trying to imply that Tiffany (and Rachel and others) think this way.  After all, if they don't bother to research the country to which they are moving, I would imagine that they don't really research immigration policies.  They all just seem to "know in their hearts" that they are making the right decision by marrying the love of their lives and moving to a country and culture of which they know nothing.

Anyone remember Sgt. Schultz from Hogan's Heroes?  "I know nothing..."  I feel like the participants in these shows know nothing about their beloved and his/her country.  Just like Karine didn't know whether or not Paul went to college, or those who believe all Americans are wealthy.

This ^^ is why I have no sympathy for Pole. The answer to unfucking your life and getting on the right track is not to fuck it up even more by adding the baggage of a wife from a foreign country and a soon to be child. Before he even contemplated a relationship with ANYONE, his focus should have been to get his life in order, get a job, utlize the social service system to help you. But now, he does the opposite of making things better, he makes them worse and more complicated. Even if he does manage to bring Kareene to the US, he can't afford to support a family. He can't even hold down a job.

Sadly this is so common now. People don’t seem to learn how to live their lives in a way that causes the least amount of stress, especially stress that is self manufactured.

Clean up one mess,  before creating another. Things will snowball and become overwhelming if you don’t . Most of these folks have a whole treasure trove of uncleared messes and just keep adding to them.

I’m sorry but the two of them remind me of some of those 16 yr olds on “Unexpected “ or “TeenMom”

I don’t see that Jihoon has any real love for Deavan, he was looking for white, American ass and she wanted Asian dick. I think he’s acting the way he thinks he’s supposed to act. I’m sure his parents have been telling him he needs to grow up and get a real job. Fixing broken cell phones and isn’t going to support a family of 4. Hell, he says his house now doesn’t have hot water. She’s going to love that. Getting that red shit off her face with cold water !! Bathing a baby with water heated on the stove? Those two will scald him!

Deavan clearly wants someone to support her and to take on parenting duty, since she has no idea what the hell she’s doing with her daughter.

Karine and Paul are both terrible. He's terrible for obvious reasons, but I do feel like Karine is being unfair in at least one way. She keeps accusing him of not wanting to work, but he's legally unable to have a legit job and I don't see that area as having a lot of jobs period much less jobs for an illegal worker with zero skills. He can't even swing a hammer! Plus, he's emotionally unstable, socially inept, and not that bright. He's a mess and he'll likely never be able to properly support a family no matter what country he's in. But she picked him! She chose to have a baby with him even after meeting him in person! He didn't exactly hide his crazy. She should hope that he goes home and sends whatever little money he can earn or maybe send the baby to Grandma if she is willing to raise him.

Jihoon is not likely to stick around longterm. He's only really there out of guilt and obligation. Maybe he and Deavan will fall in love - eventually. There isn't much there except the kid. What do they have in common? I doubt that he wants an insta-family of four. He can barely support himself. He made a very costly mistake.

I do agree with the poster who said that few of the folks on the show live alone - always with someone else - friend, family member, etc.  Few are independent. Granted, the independent sorts would survive going to a foreign country - they have some life skills and experience and are willing to adapt. They won't be needy, they won't be controlling, and won't be anyone's burden.

Unless things change, Tiffany has made one bad decision that has snowballed to a snowball of many bad decisions. Most folks have some sort of addiction - food, TV, shoes, alcohol, etc. Ronald is just a bad choice - for now - and comes with a lot of baggage that she is ill-equipped to deal with.  I probably wouldn't marry a dude who got out of rehab a week ago, has no prospects for any job, I have no prospects for a job, I have a preteen kid already, I have no money to tide us all over for 6 months. No guarantee that Ronald won't fall off the wagon within 6 months. And talk about bringing a baby in to this mess? Um, nope.

Karine has seen what Paul really is and is probably regretting the offspring. He is not going to give her the life she wants and she is clearly seeing the level of his dysfunction.

if they are that powerful, Jenny needs to ditch the teenage dream and go home.  No way, if it was me, would I put up with it.  He’s terrified every time someone knocks on the door???  Ugh.

Bolded part:

I don’t get how someone  (and this show is a great example of a lot of people) has that train of thought. How do those issues bring them to a conclusion that having a baby is the right thing to do?  It’s like they’ve gotten themselves into such a mess that the only area of their lives that they feel they have control over is reproduction. So let’s do that, and then are shocked that it just adds to the list of problems they have no idea how to solve.

Maybe they figure God or their idea of God will provide for them. Maybe God wants them to learn the skills to provide for themselves. Maybe a baby can be considered after a year's sobriety, Ronald gets a more than minimum wage job, Tiffany also gets some sort of job, whether it is working as a freelance makeup artist or at a salon or store or something. And they find a nice place to live.

Did jenny just try to basically blackmail sumit into coming home by threatening to get raped and assaulted?  What the hell?

And I think sumit wasn't playing around.  Jenny had a camera crew with her but it looked that that night street scene was 97% male.  There were maybe two women and one of them was walking with a man.  That made me do a double take.

I'm also confused as to how she spent months in India with sumit and his family and didn't see how people caught a ride.  Are women normally ignored by the drivers?

And then I thought it was weird that she went to an employment agency expecting everyone to speak English, but then I saw that the jobs were written in English outside the door, so that was interesting.  Also, if she can't catch a ride and doesn't know the area how is she getting to work?

Bolded part:

I don’t get how someone  (and this show is a great example of a lot of people) has that train of thought. How do those issues bring them to a conclusion that having a baby is the right thing to do?  It’s like they’ve gotten themselves into such a mess that the only area of their lives that they feel they have control over is reproduction. So let’s do that, and then are shocked that it just adds to the list of problems they have no idea how to solve.

Whoever said Tiffany is the birdiest bird who ever birded hit the nail on the head.

I just wish she would own her shit.  She always speaks with qualifiers.  "If Daniel doesn't feel safe here I won't force him to stay"

.....in bird speak this translates to "if Daniel expresses any interest in going back home because he doesnt want to get trafficked and live in prison housing I will guilt him into submission and therefore I am not forcing him to stay and none of his loneliness and fear is my fault"

also, how solid is this "job offer?" because the details seem non-existent.  You have a job but you're not sure of the hourly wage?  Huh?

I literally screamed "no!" at my TV when Tiffany proclaimed that she wanted to try to move them back to the US.  He is unemployable, she is a bird.  Can't they be SA's problem now?

I'm sure this is the case with Pole and Kreeny, too.  Like Ronald and Tiffany, they had a home with parents, and while they may have longer to have their own place, neither couple was in any position to house-hunt.

Of course, neither couple was in any position to procreate, either.

And now that I think of it, Deaven's pressing Jihoon about affording an apartment--she had some shitty remark about he had nine months to save money for them (does she know what he does for a living?)--probably was a producer's idea, too.

And I want to me too the Family Jihoon's fan club.  Deaven doesn't deserve them.

Devan is so joyless.  And all the histrionics.  Welcome to your new life jihoon.

You will be expected to do everything and devan will endlessly complain about how hard her life of letting jihoons mother raise her kids is and how many sacrifices she has made though I still don't know what work she has ever done besides catfish naive guys.

I don't understand why devan would even want her own place.  I know for sure she is going to try to dump her kids on jihoons mother.

South Korea seems very crowded and nine months was likely not enough time.  She has no idea how the rental process happens or what the availability is of apartments on the market.  But, why ask any questions when you can be dramatic and histrionics....what a blow you've been dealt!

Karine has seen what Paul really is and is probably regretting the offspring. He is not going to give her the life she wants and she is clearly seeing the level of his dysfunction.

I go back and forth with karine because I wonder if Paul didn't sell her a bill of goods pre-pregnancy and she bought it in spite of all the red flags because she was desperate.

She knew about things in his past, but did she really know it would mean that he couldn't sponsor her in the US?

These relationships are transactional.  There cannot possibly be any woman domestically that want to get involved with Paul.  Not because of his looks, but it's just everything.  Can you imagine a date with Paul?  OMG.  A second date?

And he probably couldn't afford to go anywhere because he was making poop shovelling money.  So he would need like a sugar momma.  I can't even envision who that woman would be.

So for Paul, karine was punching way above his weight class.  So she traded her relative good looks and youth for a chance to come to America.

But now she is pregnant and stuck with Paul, because karine will never be pretty enough to get a guy to care for her and Paul's child.

The type of guy that travels overseas for a wife is generally not looking for the one who already has a mouth to feed.  These guys are doing their relationship math, and they know it's a buyers market.  Unless karine was smoking hot or had an amazing personality, she is stuck with Paul.

If I had unknowingly traded my one commodity and ended up buying the Brooklyn bridge I might be annoyed too.

I'd bet she is sending random american men old pictures and videos of her.  And they have no idea that she is pregnant.

Jenny was wearing flesh colored pants/leggings under the tunic.  This is the reason no one should ever wear flesh colored leggings.  They are flattering to NO ONE, and it looks like you're nekkid from the waist down.

This was a very depressing episode.

Pole is so obviously slow-witted, with zero sense of humor, intelligence, or knowledge of,  well,  anything, that he is painful to watch as he puts on that aggrieved "attempt at deep thinking" face.

Kareeenie is a pathetic sap who thought "American" meant "moneyed."

Jenny is a deluded senior citizen of whom Sumit, IMO, is one phone call short of telling her he's "Jason from Microsoft."

Sumit is that rara avis, an unambitious Indian.

Jihoon looks like Richard Ramirez, the Night Stalker. But at least he's not demanding a DNA test on the baby.

Deavan gave birth alone. Maybe this whole 90 Days thing should have been resolved prior to a pregnancy. Just a thought.
