Andy digs the Moaner so I could believe he'd keep her around. Veevs? No fuckin' way! That dame is trouble. She's been giving the producers a lot of grief & they don't want to deal with her crap anymore. I'd be shocked if she doesn't get the boot. Jillzy had her shot when she appeared on WWHL & she fucked it up -- big time. No way any of the producers wanna deal with her shit either.

Btw, could Kristen's mountain climbing whining have been any more annoying?

So many women I know who are 45 to 50 dreamed of being a Little House on the Prairie girl. Maybe this was Carole's thinking with that dress? Or maybe she was so stoned she thought she put on a t-shirt & shorts, but really had that thing on instead.

Did anyone see Alex's answer to the mystery of Sonja's interns? It wasn't especially an answer at all. Cuz just like I thought, she has no idea what's going on. But she did promote her own shit (surprise, surprise) & talked about how she & Simon applied to have an intern. WTF?

All of Alex's commentary is like that. A dash of duh with a pinch of speculation and tablespoon of self promotion. I haven't heard her say anything ever that I hadn't figured out on my own by watching the show and not being a moron.

The geo-cashing looked hella boring and stupid. I'd rather drink a few beers and relax.

We had a optional gym glass like that in high school. I think they called it orienteering. I opted for the class where we just hung out in the room with all the actual gym equipment (weights, machines, etc.).

I actually enjoyed this episode more than a lot of the episodes this season. It was nice to switch up the dynamic by pairing Carole with Sonja and Ramona and having Kristen and Heather fight for a change... in addition to all the other new combinations of the women. It was weird though that every fight seemed to last 5 minutes in show time and maybe 30 minutes in real life. I don't know if it was because it was all manufactured or because at least part of it was just vacation drama that they got over quickly. Heather seems to be a lot like Josh in some ways and it's easy to see how that could get on Kristen's nerves but again, it makes me wonder why she ever married Josh when she clearly doesn't get along with people like that.

Damn heather, you are bossy! Just admit it and move on. It looks like the fight between Kristen and heather heats up next week at the table. Heathers voice is starting to crack as she tells Kristen to back down.

We've been told that they've known each other for years so if the fight does get vicious I hope they bring in some real dirt from their mutual past instead of just bickering over the same points. It probably won't happen but I can hope for some reality in my reality TV. Personally, I don't either of them seem angry enough to get into that.

Ladies and gents, I had a real dilemma at the grocery store today. Should I buy potato chips? Should I buy the economy size? Are potato chips by themselves an indicator of all that is wrong with me, or is it just purchasing them in the economy size that is a moral failing? Naturally, I wound up just leaving them on the shelves, because we can't have the checkers gossiping about me that way. Perhaps Persnickety's "friend" could tweet Sonya for me to help clarify so I don't wind up paralyzed and sobbing in the chip aisle again.

I didn't see Kristen insisting on going first as much as I saw Heather and Luann BOTH pointing at her when the instructor asked who was going first. Kristen said she'd go to get it over with "in a good way".

Actually, when he asked, Heather crossed her arms and pointed at both Kristen and Lu. Interesting. Like, nuh-uh.  Not me first.  Which leads me to this...

In case you didn't hear, Heather is a tomboy.  If she spent her youth competing with boys, some I'm sure stronger and faster than her, she learned about false bravado at a young age.  Her speech, swagger, bossiness, which some call self-confidence - are at odds with her angry, mean outbursts imo. If she were the ultra self-confident 'boss' that she calls herself, I think we'd see a calm, in-control Heather who didn't need to flaunt her excellence or make fun of someone 'less' excellent.

I think she was telling Kristen that she didn't have to go off that cliff, that it was against human nature, yada yada because SHE herself was afraid.  But she couldn't back down because she's built this image of this hard ass, take-no-shit from the neighborhood boys or anybody else attitude. She's going to fake it 'til she makes it, come hell or high water.  Which is fine because that's usually what it takes to succeed but imo, she could lose the nasty streak and she'd get further, faster.

Just my armchair therapist opinion.  I am VERY excited for next weeks show because of Heather.

Again, Montana is taking my breath away and I want to stay at that ranch and do every fun activity they are doing. Sigh. That place just looks downright beautiful and relaxing.

Maybe the ladies need another massage while looking out at the mountains. That would relax me. I have mixed feelings on rappelling. On the one hand, I probably would have worn more in case I lost control so my legs wouldn't get scraped up. Heights don't bother me too much and it actually seemed much safer than they were making it out to be. However, those harnesses are not comfortable.

Sonja is not a girls-girl.

Oh, shut up, Carole. Don't think I've forgotten all the awful things you've been saying this season.

Montana is so beautiful.  Wish we'd gotten a real look at the chef prepared dinner.

Ooo, yes. I can't watch Food Network Star and I miss the food porn of Top Chef. That needs to come back soon.

I loved Carole's hiking outfit, because it was just so whatthafuck.

Because I was also having a ginormous WTF moment about Carole's choice of walking attire, a comment on her blog ("wearing my vintage walking dress") caught my eye.  I figured there had to be some esoteric method to her proverbial madness.

A quick flick of the Google shows that there are indeed vintage "walking dresses" worn in the day when...Well, walking about one's outdoors space.

This is low on my list of Carole's annoying Carrie Bradshaw-wannabe behavior. Of course, I may be biased as I like vintage dresses myself (though mine are always bought on the cheap) and they probably don't always look the best on me.

It's really easy.  Look on the bottom right side of the post you'd like to quote.  You'll see red quote signs (") there.  Click on that, and it will give you the quoted post in a window.  Go under that window and click and start typing your reply.

HTH!

But after you click on the red quote signs, a black box pops up that says 'Reply to 1 quoted post(s).'

You have to click on that, too, to get the quoted post in a window.  Then start your post outside the quoted post box.

Is that how it works for you, Persnickety, or does yours skip the black box part?

After the George fall out I don't think there is any future in Aviva as a RH.  Andy may have some power over the HWs but Bravo has the ultimate say and with horrible ratings it is becoming obvious that perhaps Andy's radar may be somewhat off it what the audience wants to watch.

I think Alex answered the question.  She didn't have the specifics of Sonja's contracts with interns.  I now know how a RH can have an intern and what is involved if they get college credit as Sonja claims her interns receive.  It was not too far off of what Sonja said-just said more succinctly.

... "A dash of duh with a pinch of speculation and tablespoon of self promotion"... then there's one more step:  it gets marinated in the vinegar that is Alex's on-camera "journalist" style.  I cannot STAND her voice or clipped way of speaking, like she thinks she's a real journalist or something.  It's so annoying and never worth the payoff, because she has no real insight.  Just the same Martian understanding of human behavior that she and Simon always had.

I don't think Heather was afraid in the least of rappelling. If she has rock-climbed, and she says she has, going up is the hard part. It takes courage, strength, stamina, balance, and flexibility. Rappelling is very easy in comparison. When I rock-climbed in my youth, I thought of rappelling as the reward for the really difficult part--the climbing part. Most people get a kick out of going down and tend to bounce off the rocks with their feet.

Well, hellz bellz, I'm sitting here debating on tweeting Luann and asking her precisely what brand of chips she buys, too.

Well, asking my "friend" to tweet her, that is.

I seriously (no snark at all) wish Luann would skip the manners fucknuttery and write a book on beauty and fashion for women over 40.  I'd snap that baby up in a heartbeat (and I usually make it a policy to not buy whatever these housewives are selling).

I have to admit, I've never been to Montana. So, I went to Trip Advisor and found 468 Montana attractions. They range from moseying around in your walking dress to meeting Grizzles up close, from sailing to skiing and everything in between. My vacations always mix nature and city. I'm a city girl and can't sleep without the lull of sirens. I think I would enjoy Bear Paw during the day, but I would definitely like to stay in a city in the evening. I'm wondering if I would resort to raging, drinking, crying, and screaming if left in a cabin for three nights. I'm sure I could hold up, though.

Listen, I think you are fine unless you happen to know any short, well hung French dudes. If you do, and you eat potato chips, then of course one could only conclude that you are an easy lay. Makes all the sense in the world doesn't it?

One of the last things Sonja said in that extended scene was that Luann eating economy potato ships would validate what the facialist was saying. So am I to take it to believe that eating large bags of potato chips is a sign that you're a "loose woman"? If so, Sonja must live in a potato chip factory and never stop eating them. Just saying.

Gods help me, I think I sort of understood Sonja's point in the extended scene rant.  I think she's saying that Luann is a bullshitter who's all about image, using the stupid example of potato ships to prove the claim, so it's entirely possible she would have this sordid sex life and try to cover it up.

I'm really surprised they cut that out of the episode, though, because it made the fight less about a facialist (I still don't believe that's a legit word) saying random crap and Sonja basically validating that crap.  Which makes Luann's reaction a lot more reasonable.  I guess they wanted it to be a little...unclear.  That's how Bravo rolls, yo.

Thank you. I had no clue what she was trying to say and it does make some sense now. Kind of like a preachy vegetarian sneaking cheeseburgers.

I wonder if Lu and Jacques split up because he suspected she wasn't so in love after all? And LuAnn didn't want those accusations aired even if they were absurd. We got a little more of the rumor in the extended clip......Lu and the short Frenchman being seen at a nice restaurant (going blank on the name). Things that make you go hmmm.....

I wondered the same and other jealousy related issues, but it just seems so odd to me. Because Heather has always appeared very comfortable in her skin and self-assured. Out of all the women, she seems the least likely to get jealous of someone.

Then I started to wonder if it has something to do with the show? Kristen and Heather know each other offscreen, they've been friends for years. Through Josh, right? How did Kristen get on the show? Did Heather have anything to do with it? I just wonder if she's getting territorial over having an actual friend come onto her turf and possibly be stealing more of the attention?

I'm probably grasping at straws here, but the entire thing seemed so out of character that I'm just dying to figure out what was behind it.

My thought - Heather is over Kristen's I'm too pretty & scared to do it routine. Heather has known Kristen for years.  If K does this every single time, it would be ultra annoying.  K insists on doing something that she is 'afraid of'.  K then demands attention and encouragement.  K wants hand holding.  K wants verbal banners.  And in this case, K insists on going first and then holds them all hostage with her histrionics (which is probably why she wanted to go first - so they couldn't ditch her).  Heather got fed up quickly (because she's been through this dozens of times before) and was blase about it and gave K an out.  This way K either takes the out or does it to show Heather.  This is where being Carole would come in handy - she could just light up.

So, Carole and LuAnn will sit and listen to detailed gossip regarding Sonja, instead of telling the gossipers to shut up and leave? Oh, okay.

On camera is a totally different story.

Did anyone see Alex's answer to the mystery of Sonja's interns?  It wasn't especially an answer at all.  Cuz just like I thought, she has no idea what's going on.  But she did promote her own shit (surprise, surprise) & talked about how she & Simon applied to have an intern.  WTF?

I cannot deal with Alex's voice (or face).  I have to do 2 internships and 2 mentorships as part of my grad degree requirements.  I wonder if my school would accept being an assistant to a RH for credit?

As long as they are baked.

That's been well reported for years.  Even when LuAnn was still married to the Count, there were reports in Page Six about her falling down drunk in parking lots, dalliances, etc.

Right?  Especially with Sonja's coup de grace "Where there's smoke, there's fire, Luann!" as Luann was bolting from the area.

That whole scene just made me want to grab some jellybeans and start screaming AL SHARPTON, AL SHARPTON!!!

I think the vintage walking dress would have looked much better during the skeet shooting outing - ala Annie Oakley

I think it's actually kind of funny how the producers have totally lost interest in Carole. I mean she has to wear nightgowns on hikes to even get them to make fun of her. She's so barely even there that I forget about her until someone here makes fun of her blog. I can't believe she and Aviva are cast members, but Luanne is a friend.

Is it possible that Heather is annoyed because Kristen isn't normally like this... or normally not that bad? Or maybe she's never seen Kristen like this because she never hangs out with her while doing athletic things and she's never seen this side of her. Or maybe they planned this whole thing out before they started filming as Kristen's connection to the cast seems to be Heather.

LuAnn is being unreasonable.  The facialist was asked what people were saying about the RHONYC.  LuAnn has very high expectations if she thinks it is reasonable to throw someone out if you ask them a question and you don't like the answer.  LuAnn is still just floundering without a storyline other than she no longer wants Sonja as a friend and she hates Ramona.  I now see the reason for her demotion.  She just isn't that good of an actress.

If this group stays together they should have more say in where they vacation.  This episode was really boring and yes the scenery was lovely.  Let the ladies out on the town or at least as far as the Lodge at Paws Up.  Ramona was right-Kristen wasn't a good planner-not that I think she did any planning.  The best vacation ever was St. John's (Ramona's) and not because of the Kelly breakdown.  The ladies for the most part seemed to have some fun-except Kelly.

I was thinking exactly that as I was watching the episode.  The scenery was beautiful but I don't watch this to look at scenery.  Boring watching fishing, boring watching whatever that geo thing was.  They need to go somewhere they fit in, not Montana where they are looked at as tourist stereotypes, which is not a compliment.

Preferably somewhere where Turtle Time can happen, Luann can have "Italian friends" unexpectedly drop by and gluttinously consume potato "ships" straight from the bag, Sonja can get back-doored by a wannabe pirate who happens to be sloppy seconds from Luann, and Aviva can at long last have her banner.

Or at least back to Morocco for another look at Luann trying to ride a camel.

Let's relive that glorious moment, shall we?

I thought Ramona has been funny in the past 2 Montana episodes.  Her TH's make me laugh.  Yeah, she complains but in her defense it does look boring there and I LOVE nature.  Just not her cup of tea.  I get that.  She hasn't been complaining the entire time.  She appreciates a lot of it.  The views, the cabin, the massages.  But eeewww....she's right to complain about the breakfast dishes still being outside in the evening.  Is the resort supposed to make the beds, wash dishes and supply towels or are you supposed to spend a ton of money at a resort and wash your own dishes?  Seriously...I'd really like to know.  lol!

Ramona's complaining hasn't bothered me at all because I, too, would pout if I had to do anything involving nature, and I'm definitely not on the economic scale than she is.  I figure she's only there because she blew off the last trip and didn't want to get into more trouble with the producers.  I don't want to get near horses, wouldn't want to eat near livestock, and most definitely wouldn't want to go on some scavenger hunt in the woods.  And god help me, I laughed when she screamed at Kristen that the whole trip was boring.  So wrong, but I agree completely.  I'm going to use someone's else's excuse of watching The Bad Girl's Club, and that skewing my perspective on some things.  Can't wait until they get back to New York.

But, I didn't think that Heather had known Kristen all that long. I thought that Heather mainly knew Kristen through Josh. And that she and Kristen became friends when Kristen modeled for Yummy Tummy.

I figured that they were friends because of Josh, but not that they had been close friends. Like I figured that Heather knew Kristen and her kids because she had hung out with her in social situations because of Josh. But, I didn't think that they were super close.

Heather only met Carole last season, but I got the impression that she was much closer to Carole than she was to Kristen.

It was the only reason I thought that Heather was treating Kristen so much the same way that Josh treats Kristen.

I like Heather because she has that strength that doesn't allow anyone to fuck with her. But, at the same time, the reason I disliked Heather so much in her first season was because she would find a weakness and poke at it. And, I really saw that in this past episode. I don't know if I am describing it correctly. I just know that I didn't like Heather, but I like her now and really want her to do better than this episode.

The same as I didn't really notice Carole last season, but I kind of love her now. She's that crazy pot head friend that I want to just record so other people can hear it and get the joke. Even though I know that it is a "you had to be there" joke, I want everyone to hear and see it to see why it is so funny and comforting to me.

Well, that was interesting. Guess Carol's writing more than books.

I don't know if I believe that Carole has been posting comments under a fake name on her blog. But I don't think it's wise for Carole to shift the blame to Aviva, saying Aviva has all this free time to make up lies. It reminded me that Carole laughed about screwing with Wikipedia and manipulating data.

The whole Kristin and Heather have been friends for years is a embellishment.  Even Kristen seemed surprised to hear that Jax had a liver transplant.  Heather said she worked with Josh 15-20 years ago.  Kristen and Josh have been married 9 years.  Shortly after they married they moved to California until shortly before Kingsley was conceived.  Do I think they had met-probably.  Do I think they were ever friends-no. Right before the beginning of the season Heather was boasting that she brought on Kristen.  Brandi would have none of that and announced she was the one that introduced Kristen to Andy Cohen.

I have never liked Heather for the reason you described the poking.  I also think she is a bit of a sleaze with her litigation against Spanx.  She tried to win people over with a twitter campaign against Spanx and it fell flat.  Heather is way too much of a name dropper to ever hold much appeal for me.  I get Kristen frustration with Heather and I think the others just do not have the energy or desire to take her on.  She was also a bit of a turn off on WWHL with Terry Crews-touching and flirting-he became visibly uncomfortable with her.  Terry Crews was trying to tell a story about how the phone call Josh Taekman was on during the physical therapist scene was about Josh helping him get a book deal and Heather just kept trying to one up Terry with all her insight.  And of course that stupid insincere smile,

My husband and I drove to Missoula last summer. The trip was beautiful and Missoula is beautiful. Re Carole: I love her. Braids, no braids. Walking dress or something else. She's in Montana! No fashionistas there. I don't mean to insult Missoula, but it's not NYC. She knows she can wear whatever the eff she wants. And she does. I rather like that she fixes her long hair very practically. Does she strike a wrong note for some folks? Sure. But I identify with this skinny bitch. And I am not skinny. Loved her first book, maybe I'll read her second, though it's not in my wheelhouse.

Since I find getting sloppy drunk everynight boring I can not really relate to Sonya & Ramona.    They decide before even trying things that they are boring.

I really wanted to know what treasure Carol had to replace the treasure they were going to find on their geo thing.   :)

I think Ramona was 'bored' in Montana because she was worried that Mario wasn't 'bored' back in New York and didn't like being that far away from keeping a watch on him.....

I think Alex answered the question.  She didn't have the specifics of Sonja's contracts with interns.  I now know how a RH can have an intern and what is involved if they get college credit as Sonja claims her interns receive.  It was not too far off of what Sonja said-just said more succinctly.

Oh please, Alex didn't know the answer.  She doesn't know what the deal is with Sonja's interns.  Nobody does -- except for Sonja, the cagey con artist.  I just have a very hard time believing Sonja can get a legitimate internship, giving actual credit from a "real" college or university.  But if Alex & Simon can do it . . . well, then maybe it is possible.  While I didn't care for Alex plugging her own shit, I did find it interesting (as well as hilarious & odd & sorta sad) she & Simon can somehow get a legitimate intern.

Alex insists she's not happy about the crappy ratings, but Simon sure as shit seems joyful reporting on it.  He seems bitter & nasty to me.  Is Alex?  She says she isn't, but I'm not so sure.  I must admit, it does tickle me when they take digs at Andy Cohen.

I could not stop laughing at the extended clip of Sonja's ranting about potato chips & to quote Sonja from when she was sane & helping calm down cuckoo Kelly "this woman has lost the run of herself"

On a different note, I sometimes like to throw out LuAnn's "old Italian friends" line when I don't want to list off who I am hanging out with for anyone... kind of my own polite none of your business.  Anyway, I was out with a friend when my sister called me, asked who I was with & I said oh, an old Italian friend.  When I hung up my friend looked at me & said I'm not Italian.  I shrugged & said I saw a can of Spaghetti-O's in your kitchen, close enough.

It is Alex's blog-of course she is going to plug her own stuff.  Having had friends with college aged children I am often surprised what their "internships" entail.  I don't consider interning in an ad agency,  to consist of  being a gofer for the owner-picking up dry cleaning and the owners' children from school at all related to a degree in marketing.  The lucky parents get to pay for the units involving internships.

Simon has two websites reporting ratings-one is the top 15 cable networks and he does the dailies and the other is Bravo Ratings.  Simon reports the numbers  good or bad. Since the exit of Alex, Jill and Kelly the ratings have been going down. Alex and Simon were treated poorly by Bravo but of all the former RH they have seem willing to answer questions about what happens behind the scenes.  Sure a lot of stuff is fairly easy to figure out but Alex lived it and confirms what happens.  An example that comes to is people in restaurants when they film.  I think everyone figured out they film at off hours.  I did not realize the random spectators of the various restaurant spectacles are crew members just there to amp up the drama with their "reactions".  Alex lived it and confirmed it.

I don't always agree with Alex's take on the shows but I do like the fact that she is willing to answer questions about production.  Like many others I would rather read a blog than watch it but it is in the video format.  Simon's blogs are all written.  There must be somewhat of a following as her video blog has gone from once a week to five times a week.

I guess I'm the only one who had a different take on Heather telling Kristin its ok if she didn't rappell.

I thought she was trying to give Kristin an out in case she didn't want to do it.

I saw it as Heather telling her that it wasn't for everybody and nobody would think badly about her if she decided to not do it.

That how I saw it too.

Heather was being a shit during the geo thing( big Heather fan here). To be honest it would be the last thing I would want to do, especially with a good buzz. Heather could have been a better friend during that. I didn't have an issue with what she was saying to Kristen during repelling.

My apologies if this isn't the proper place to share this little tidbit; if not, just let me know and I'll move it.

While perusing the usual trashy websites, I came upon this piece.  (Using the link so as not to spoil anyone that doesn't wish to be spoiled.)

If this is true, I am almost assuredly done with this franchise.  Anyone know how accurate/full of shyte this site is?

I think you misunderstood my post. I never said that he would ditch his daughter to hook up with another wife. What I meant was that he wouldn't fight a custody battle. Why would he? He is 80 some years old and marrying women 30-40 years younger than he is. He would most likely be very open to not fighting the mother on custody simply so that everything in that relationship can resolved as quickly and quietly as possible and he can move on to life with his new wife.

Apologies if I misunderstood--no insult intended, truly. But I can see a very good reason for Mr. Morgan to fight for custody, or at least a clarification of whatever agreement/order is in place should he remarry. Obviously I don't have any inside info on the man's actual net worth or assets nor as to his will but a new wife could conceivably complicate any eventual settlement of his estate. Add to that the fact that Sonja is, at least on the surface, going a bit off the rails. If Morgan dies while his daughter is still a minor there could be problems with whatever he leaves the girl depending on who has power of attorney. I assume he has either the sense or the advisers to let him know that handing Sonja the keys to the daughter's share of the kingdom might not be a good idea.

I'm not a lawyer but I was recently executor for my dad's estate and know first hand what a mess that can be if a will is challenged. While he had no basis to complain, my big bro tied us up for months insisting that he deserved more than what dad had specified. Bro--who, like Sonja--couldn't hang onto a nickle if you nailed it to his head, lost hands down but it was an expensive mess. People desperate for money can do strange things.

Smart move, me friend, as it is well documented that potato chips are a gateway drug. Particularly the economy sized ones.

For the record I like Alex and Simon and wouldn't mind seeing them back on the show. However regarding Alex's explanation about Sonja's interns.......she doesn't know shit. All she did is explain the process of how to apply and get interns. Several posters have already done that. We know the process and I for one don't believe for a minute that Sonja's "interns" are legit. I would have to see written proof before believing that Pickles is getting college credit for packing Sonja's underwear.

I didn't see Kristen as wanting any hand-holding or banners or encouragement. In fact, she told them all to be quiet. I think she wanted to get in her own zone, tune out the world, and focus. But they didn't listen and were yapping at her the entire time. I also didn't think she actually wanted to go first, I got the impression that she was volunteered to go first. I do think Kristen gets a bit over-the-top when she's doing something that challenges her, but I think a good friend would overlook the annoyance and not call you out about it in front of the entire group.

I think Ramona was 'bored' in Montana because she was worried that Mario wasn't 'bored' back in New York and didn't like being that far away from keeping a watch on him.....

I agree. She gets very antsy when she can't keep a close eye on him. And they've been away quite a bit this year....

It appears someone in our midst speaks Sonjaeese because that really does make sense.

As for Heather's questionable support of Kristen repelling I agree she wanted Kristen to back out. I had a similar situation of which I am not proud. My husband is a brilliant man who excels at everything but he's not a big adrenaline junkie. He's more of a slow and steady wins the race kind of guy. We went on a cruise with a bunch of friends and the thrill type of activities did nothing for him. I am no athlete but by sheer force of will I made myself scuba dive, do the indoor surfing thing, ice skate etc while hubby watched from the sidelines. When it came time to zip line I knew my hubby didn't really want to but he was trying to bite the bullet. I was just like Heather "you don't have to do this, your glasses might break, you don't have anything to prove etc". Truth is I was the rock star for once and I wanted him to chicken out. Damn him he did it and my reign as coolest one in the marriage was over. Again. Not proud.

Eta: sorry I screwed up the quote big time
