Suggestions from the God Account lead Miles and Cara to the Hayden Planetarium, where they meet a young woman, Fliss, who is searching for her old boyfriend who may have been “the one.” Also, Rakesh and Jaya look into a tour guide at the planetarium who Rakesh thinks may be connected to the God Account, and Arthur tries to put a piece of his past behind him.

Airs Sunday, October 21.

A cute episode even though I guessed how it would play out..Nice to have it be a romance-laced one instead of some dire rescue or something..the twist at the end was nice...I thought they MIGHT go there but wasn't too sure...Either way, this show is a nice way to cap off a weekend!

I am liking this show very much.  However, I had to eye-roll when Miles came up with one Jim Smith match.  Seriously?  Oh, well.

I love planetariums and museums in general, so that was pretty cool.  And I know a tiny bit about the ratio.

Sweet to have the sax repaired.  It can be difficult, after someone dies, to figure out what has meaning and should be kept, and what to donate or toss.

I hope they don't drag out the Miles/Cara thing too much.  I'm fine if they end up as just friends, just settle it without too much fuss and bother.

He had his date of birth. So while one match may still have been slightly unlikely, not totally crazy.

Miles should have spent his luck on a billion dollar lotto ticket in lieu of seeing his Dad at the precise moment dude walked out of the music store.  Great casting of Erica Gimpel as the owner.  I bet she will be a recurring cast member.

Other than "finding me," what is it that Fliss found?  It was a great adventure, but what was the spiritual/God point?

Good move on the new/old BF for Cara.  Things are moving far too rapidly on the ship front with Miles.

Jaya has been remarkably consistent in her reticence to commit to anything that isn't a guaranteed "good" for her.  Very real, imo.  At what point will it begin to dawn on her that God is using her?  Then what happens to her ultra self-interested world view?   Poor Rakesh is gonna pay for her confusion.

Were there no repercussions for the corruption of the work computers?  Surely, IT discovered Rakesh's new software?  Does he have Admin privileges?  Not if he isn't IT himself.  He is not management.   If he is IT, how on earth would they forgive him running off when their system crashed?

I think it's time for some consequence to the unbelief in the leads.

I really like this show. I actually like all of the characters and I love the premise of them helping people. I knew they would do the whole cliche bring the ex stuff and I get it but I hope he isn't around for too long, I want to see continuous progression for Miles and Cara's relationship there's something really sweet about them.

I like the show, but I have unresolved anger about  the reverend. Dating back to Eureka. I've never forgiven Henry for messing with the timeline and taking away Alison and Carter's marriage  and baby.  I mean I know it all worked out in the end, but I have an irritatingly long memory!

Well I think that was "God" was playing matchmaker because I think Dad will eventually play sax at the club that he mentioned to the owner and they will reconnect. I think "God" on this show is big, old softee that wants to make everyone's life better.

I find it amazing that in spite of all the contrived "coincidences" (fate?) that this show is so good.  I'm having a hard time remaining objective about it.  I mean, destiny at some of the most iconic and meaningful places in my own young life, like Lincoln Center, Washington Square Park, Central Park and the Hayden Planetarium?  That plus the Fibonacci sequence/ratio.  All of these things figure into my life and my soul in very specific ways.  I almost think the God account is trying to tell ME something about MY life.  It's getting inside my head.  Either that or I know the writers.  It's freaky.  At any rate, it's great entertainment and definitely food for thought.  So unexpected from a show like this, but very welcome.

I have a feeling that Jim Smith and Fliss will remain best friends in spite of his being gay, which would be an excellent resolution for both of them.  Maybe they'll move in together.  I don't suppose we'll ever see that happen, though.

P.S.  My own best friend told me the other day that she watches this show.  Knowing that is making it all the more meaningful for me.  I can't even explain why.  I have known her for 45 years.

I enjoy this show but the locations/routes in this episode made zero sense. They started uptown at the Planetarium and Central Park but then later they were at Washington Square Park downtown (the arch) when Fliss wandered off within minutes....to Lincoln Center about 60 blocks uptown! Lol. Plus it looks like Miles's office is near the Brooklyn Bridge (or a bridge anyway) and boy did he get uptown fast. It's usually shows that DON'T film in NY that get this kind of stuff wrong.

I also kept telling Fliss she needed to get on over to Broadway to fulfill her destiny. (Since Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony nominee.)

I enjoyed that it wasn't just God telling Miles to friend someone again, but a more creative way to get them where they needed to be to help people.

Aw, this was a cute episode! This is a nice 'feel good' show.

I'm disappointed that they're doing the 'ex showing up at exactly the wrong time' cliché with Cara and Miles.

I felt Rakesh and Jaya were much better integrated into the story this time.

Though I did like seeing the various NYC landmarks, it was convenient that they all got around so quickly.

I hope we do see that music store owner again.

I know, that stuff bugs me too as I'm from NYC and know all those locations well, but I've let it go for now because if I let it bother me it would ruin my enjoyment of the show.

I was thinking the same thing. I dont think this is the last we will see of the shop owner lady, and the God is playing around to make things happen, even beyond the God Account, and will end up having the Rev playing at the jazz club and meeting the shop owner again.

I liked the episode, and the way it ended for Jim and Fliss. I suspected something like that would happen, but I liked how things ended, and I hope that Fliss and Jim stayed friends for a long time, and got to hang at all kinds of museums. This show is such a nice, feel good show, and its just nice to watch. Like drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows.

The ex just showing up to throw a wrench into Miles and Cara getting back together is annoying, but I like the slow burn with Miles/Cara. They're cute, and I am enjoying seeing them get closer until they realize that they like each other that way.

I have to do this with shows set in NYC otherwise I'll drive myself crazy. It's like pricing. "Oh, a 20something who works at a coffee shop lives alone in a huge one-bedroom in SoHo? Right. Okay." At least they mentioned that Cara has a roommate. (Her giant office kind of bugs me; it's far more likely that that kind of working environment would have an open office plan - which I loathe, but whatever - and she doesn't appear to be particularly senior. She can write from anywhere and she's not shown to be at her job particularly often, so it seems like a huge waste.) Shows and movies set in NYC always get the amount of space people actually live in very wrong, likely because it would be hard to get a camera crew in such tight spaces. Definitely couldn't do it in my old East Village place that I shared with two roommates.

I like Rakesh but Jaya gets on my nerves.

Joe Morton is 100% going to get with the attractive age-appropriate shop owner. That's why she's attractive and age-appropriate.

I missed the last 10 minutes or so because the episode cut off (it started late because of football), so I didn't see the ex return. Is he at least cute?

I was pretty sure Jim Smith would turn out to be gay, but was fine with it. In fact, I think every straight woman in America should be assigned a male gay best friend. I used to have a couple, and miss them so much. I think Fliss was in a rut in her small town and moving is going to open up a whole new world to her. If she has a best friend to share the journey, so much the better.

I find both Rakesh and Jaya to be annoying.

Has anyone noticed that Cara always has a purse on her? Even when she is just standing around, she doesn't put it down. I'm obsessed with it. Let's see if she does it in the next episode.

I like the show in general, but this episode was not my favorite. I have a list of places, so I will just go to each place to see if this person is there? It is 2018. There are much better and more efficient ways to track someone down. I try not to nitpick shows, but that whole premise bothered me.

Heh. Not going to go back even further, to Terminator 2 in 1991? Skynet!

I like the change of pace from his Scandal character but Joe Morton could use some better writing. He's managed some clunky dialogue pretty well but Morton truly excelled at the speeches he got on his last show.

I associate Joe Morton with two roles: Whitley Gilbert's jilted fiance on A Different World and Keanu Reeves' boss in Speed.

A lot of people didn't like Papa Pope's pontificating on Scandal but I loved it, in big part because I think Joe Morton's voice is sexy as hell and I love listening to him talk. I can quote his "You are a boy" speech. I hope we get a few paragraphs of a sermon on this show.

Not my favorite episode but still fine. I knew we wouldn't get a classic happy end for Fliss but it was still sweet. And I somehow wished they would run into Neil deGrasse Tyson who would then have a massive twitter meltdown about something as crazy as a God account. Not going to happen but still amusing.

Also: hi there, Erica Gimpel. Looking forward to meeting you again since I don't believe for a second that you were hired for just one brief scene.

I’m not ready to give up on the show because it does have a sweetness about it, which we (at least I) need in these disturbing times, but I wish it wouldn’t be so predictable. Last week, I knew they were going to the Bethesda Fountain because of the statue and it’s association with Angels in America and because Ben and little Olive had gone there earlier in the episode. This week, before the reveals, I knew about (1) the Fibonacci sequence (thanks, Touch); (2) that Beaker was Jim Smith; (3) that Jim Smith was gay. Stop foreshadowing plot points, please, show.

Oh my, thanks. Those are the only two new shows I’m watching this year, and I did confuse them. They are mixed up in my brain because of all the NYC locales and because of the mystery at the heart of both.
