H is for "Hi, it's me Stan!"
Oy! I missed the boat while typing my F reply.
Great game, btw!
I is for impotent, which is what Dorothy claimed Stan's brother Ted was for revenge.
J is for Jeno's pizza rolls, which Dorothy says the jewel-thief next-door neighbors, the McDowells, don't steal after Rose says she tailed them in the supermarket.
K is for Kate, one of Dorothy's two children who aren't remotely close the age they're supposed to be.
L is for Lorraine, who Dorothy flips out about because of the age difference.
M is for Michael, Dorothy's "skinny white boy" son and member of the same jazz band as Lorraine.
N is for "Not now, Ma"! because Sophia took a whole place setting.
O is for Orange Juice that Dorothy spilled on herself when Sophia played a joke on her.
P is for Pregnant, which is what Dorothy was when she married Stan.
Q is for Quick, which Stan unfortunately was on their first time as Dorothy wasn't even sure anything had happened, until the baby came out as proof. Or, on other occasions it seemed to happen before she even got into the room.
R is for The Rusty Anchor, where Dorothy became a big hit, much to Blanche's dismay.
S is for Shady Pines, as in, "Shady Pines, Ma!"
T is for Tramp which Dorothy called Blanche and Rose's daughter Bridget.
U is for Underwear, as in, "For those of you who *wear* underwear" in Three on a Couch.
V is for VCR, as in, "Ma, we did not get a VCR so you could rent dirty movies!"
W is for Wode Island, indicating Dorothy's childhood speech impediment.
X is for XXXVIII which stands for 38. 38 Years of marriage between Dorothy and Stan.
Y is for Yak Snacks, which is how Dorothy refers to the crackers made of yak intestines that Cousin Sven says are served with venderhooven (oatmeal).
Z is for Zbornak, self explanatory.
We move onto Sophia now.
A is for Alvin, Sophia's friend who had Alzheimer's Disease.
B is for Badgagaloop, (sp?), one of Sophia's favorite insults.
C is for Curse that Sophia put on Giuseppe Mangiacavallo and their next door neighbor who's tree fell into their yard.
Or for Zbornak Syndrome, which sounds like a chess move – unlike Devereaux’s disease, which has a nice ring to it.
Oops, someone beat me to C.
D is for Disdam, Sophia's made-up Scrabble word. As in, "You're no good at disdam game."
E is for Elvis for the Elvis impersonators that showed up at her wedding to Max Weinstock.
F is for Frozen Fish Stick, which is what Sophia says she'll wake up as if she wipes off the Vicks, Ben-Gay and Deep Heat.
G is for Guido. Sophia's first marriage which she had annulled.
H is for the heart attack everyone thought she was having during a storm.
I is for Innuendo, which Sophia kept making towards Blanche in the episode with Mel Bushman.
J is for Jerry Reed, from whose hand Sophia nibbled a giant shrimp while at the Burt Reynolds party that the other girls missed because they were mistakenly jailed for prostitution.
K is for Kiss, when Sophia was trying to give their Japanses gardener Mr. Mitsumo an English lesson.
L is for Linguine, as in, "Salvatore, if you wanna fool around, take off your t-shirt. You're gonna get linguine all over me!"
M is for Ma. What Dorothy called Sophia. Among other things. Lol
N is for New York. Where Sophia moved to after she annulled her arranged first marriage to Guido Spirelli.
Old is for oldest, which the Sophia character was of the four
P is for Pablo Picasso! I have a feeling she's lying...
Q is for Quasimodo who I think Dorothy looked like after she had her hump removed? somebody help me.
R is for redhead which she claimed to be in some of her "Picture It..." stories.
R is for Rum Cake, which Sophia baked and got drunk on while preparing for Blanche's surprise birthday party. "So stick an umbrella in it and serve it with straws. Everyone'll think they're at Trader Vic's."
S is for Sicily, Sophia's place of birth.
T is for Mr. Terrific, one of the lesser episodes.
T is for Tony, Sophia's boyfriend and Angela's roommate.
U is for Uncle Vito, to whom Dorothy was talking on the phone while Sophia eavesdropped. "It's a little thing I do."
V is for Voluptuous, an adjective Sophia uses to describe herself in her younger years when she had "a butt like granite."
W is for Water, which Sophia sailed across to get to America fro Italy.
X is for the X-rated movies Sophia rented to watch on their new VCR. "You know what they're doing, Dorothy. We had that talk when you were 12."
Y is for Yutz, which is how Sophia often referred to her ex-son-in-law Stan.
Z is obviously for Zulu, Queen of the Dwarf People.
For the next round how about the house and/or items in the house? Just thought of one to get us started:
A is for the Attic, where Sophia joked about moving the safe.
B is for Boudoir, where Blanche should've installed a turnstile.
C is for cheesecake, which their refrigerator almost always contained.
"D" is for "Disdam", and yes, that is a word.
E is for egg yolks, which were put in a baggie by Rose and mistaken for "little balls of sunshine" by a sleep-deprived Blanche.
F is for Fidel Santo Domingo, er, Santiago.
G is for "Get off my lanai".
H is for Housekeeper, as in Coco (aka the fancy man), who appeared in the pilot episode and was never seen again.
