I wonder if Laura could name 5 things she likes about aladin that aren't physical attributes?

That is all she cares about. Just like I feel about Jenny, how has Laura survived this long? She is so clueless, it's disturbing. There are big huge blinking billboard signs all over screaming DON'T DO THIS, LAURA and she is completely disregarding them. It's not even an "if"; it's a definite for sure mistake.

I really wish I could unsee the feral child with dirty feet ON TOP of the counter sticking her hands into the serving plate of eggs and eating them.

Can we please just call her “Nell,” after the Jodie Foster movie about a girl who grew up in the wild?

You’re welcome.

Do NOT look below then...

Liam is my new favorite.  Not only did he spill the tea about Laura's anger issues (i.e. "short fused temper"), he spoke nothing but truth about her move to Qatar and that he's not going to move there to be with her.  My heart broke for him when he spoke about how she would miss him.  (MN: not to mention HIS tears at the airport)

I like your comments and @Mrs. Landingham and @Hannah94 on p1.

Liam was a great son, wise, loving, and a treasure.

Oops, I almost forgot - Did anybody else scream out "Oh no Please!" at the end of  the episode, when Laura arrived at the airport and Aladin was not there to meet her ??  Oh No What Ever shall I do, All alone here in a strange land, with nobody to help me, except two producers, a camera man and a sound guy ?

Seriously, TLC  Yawn.  How shall I ever stand the suspense til next week's episode.

Jihoons mom said she wanted to have a DIL who was like a friend.  Devan should have let her help.  I think Devan may be one of those people who aren't flexible but break when things don't go according to plan.  LOL @ jihoons mother taking a few courtesy bites and going for an apple.

I really felt bad for her, I think she really just wanted to help. It doesn't take an empath to see that Devan was clearly overwhelmed and on the verge of tears (again! even when Jihoon asked her what the cinnamon rolls were, she was this close to breaking down). I only have one son, and have always gotten on well with his girlfriends. Any future DIL had better be down with coming over to bake, drink cheap wine and watch trashy TV with me. I get Mother Jihoon.

And seriously, Devan better learn some coping skills. With a feral three year old and a (probably soon to be feral) baby, nothing is going to go according to plan!

Its canon by now. American fiance/e forlornly waiting in an airport. American fiance/e is horrified by the weird food. American fiance/e has at least one creepy, over invested friend or family member who won't let up about how he or she is probably being scammed.

Laura keeps mentioning  that while she and Aladdin are married on paper, they haven’t had the big three day wedding.  I wonder if she expects Aladdin’s family to throw a large lavish three day wedding for them? Guess what, Laura?  They won’t. Laura seems to be fighting the idea that she’s already married.

Jihoon seems to be not really accepting how Deavon is rather emotionally handicapped.  Maybe, it's hormones, but, she seems incapable of functioning with day to day struggles.  Can he handle this, plus, take care of their baby, her child and their household on a daily basis?  I'd definitely be inquiring if she had any PPD after the birth of her daughter.  That stuff is very serious.

I have to say that I have little to no interest in the lady going to Qatar. The heavyset, bleach blonde, old white lady with a trucker mouth meeting a 20-something guy in some far off place is getting old now.

Paul running. Enough said.

OMG I can’t take the neurotic chick with the wild child. That kid sitting on the counter and touching all the food just grossed me out. “She has manners.” Um, no. His parents must be experiencing such culture shock here.

I loved his parents questions, “Is it supposed to look like that?” about the eggs. Raw bacon? LOL The way she was whining, “I wanted to cook it,” like a baby drove me up the wall. Even in the TH she sounded like she was ready to have a meltdown. This poor dude needs to head for the hills. She was acting like making breakfast was going to impress these people and make them say how wonderful she is. Had she aced the cooking, they would have eaten it and probably said it was good with straight faces. Seems she wanted a parade and confetti from these people. Good luck with that.

The idiot that went to South Africa has such a terrific kid. Did she expect a bachelor party to be a book club meeting?

TBF, I think she took a few courtesy bites before grabbing the apple.  She is a far kinder person than me, because sorry you took 20 minutes to make those oversalted cheesy eggs but I'm not eating eggs your unwashed toddler has run through with her dirty hands.

I'm not even eating oversalted cheesy eggs that were saggy diaper adjacent.

Imma Uber over to the Orleans casino in a couple of hours and I'll pick something up on my way.  Don't wait up.  PLEASE don't worry yourself making lunch or dinner.  And no, I don't need any additional time to bind with your badass kid, but thanks for the offer.

Drascilla is three years old, and her mother has taught her nothing about how to act. Nothing. She just let's her run around like a feral animal and it's so horrible. Why not teach her to sit at the table, give her a damn fork, and her own plate of eggs? It's like Deavan herself is stunted and incapable of executing even the most mundane tasks. These two are going to move to Korea? Good luck! They'll be crawling back to her Deavan's mother's house within a month.

I'm going to cut her a break on the American meal.  Maybe she was hoping since they were in a foreign country they would appreciate experiencing foreign things, not just eat the same stuff they always get.  (They WERE commenting that American eggs were white and theirs were yellow - it is possible they would have genuinely appreciated the effort to show them something different.)

However, when it became apparent 5 minutes in to trying to cook said breakfast that neither Jihoon nor his parents were charmed be Dracilla's "manners" she should have dealt with her immediately and not tried to convince Jihoon that his parents were somehow wrong.

I'm with you on the breakfast.  On this show we see Americans all the time in foreign countries that try the native cuisine...and we make fun of them if they don't attempt to try what they are being served.  If I were visiting Korea I'd want a Korean breakfast, so it's not that crazy to think a Korean couple would want to try an American meal.

I think Laura is going to be the next Danielle. Both Aladin and Mohammed are from Tunisia and both are much younger than their wives. The difference being that Aladin will not be in the US to get a green card. I do not know the reason for him marrying Laura in 9 days time? 9 days? Maybe there is a way he would be eligible for a green card even if married to an American in a different country? Aladin is obviously still dating other women and Laura is going to end up broken-hearted.

I hope everything works out for Corey and Evelin - for his sake - because from what it seems, Evelin is not as in love with Corey as he is with her. Not even meeting him when he arrived at the airport is one sign of this. She is allowing him to invest all his life savings in Ecuador but has no intention to marry him? I hope he does not end up broken-hearted.

For Jenny and Sumit, I think that Sumit may love Jenny but he is still immature and will likely break up with her if his family insists upon it. To me, it is shocking that Jenny would be willing to leave behind her children and grandchildren to be with a man in a foreign country. Personally, I could never leave my children for any man.

I hope that Paul and Karine will work out because they will soon be parents together. They seem to have a fair chance at working out provided they are able to work out his visa.

I do not let what Deavon's child does upset me.  The child is completely innocent and has no say so over the fact that she's on tv. She has not been taught to act any different.   Her parents have betrayed her and are not caring for her as evidenced on the show. So, she has to pay the price of being labeled negatively.  It's so sad and I hope that someone will intervene and she can get her the help she needs.  I suppose that she will  grow up and maybe change her name, so she can not be forever connected to this show.   These videos will be out there forever and she, the innocent teen will have to endure so much teasing or worse. Plus, she'll read about how she was perceived by the public.  Poor thing.   I really wonder if the adults in this situation thought this through.

Part of me wonders if Evelyn is just punking for the cameras.  Her disdain for her man is so severe that it makes me wonder if it's genuine.  Hard to believe that someone that blooming cold could snag a man who just plunks out all his money.......That's why the only explanation that I have is that Cory likes that kind of thing or she's faking with it.  Maybe, they think it makes for a more intriguing storyline.

Yeah, I don't really like Deavan, but I actually felt bad for both of them in the kitchen. I think it came down to simple miscommunication - Mother Jihoon was trying to help, and Deavan was trying to show she could cook for them, but neither one can speak the others language, so they didn't know how to say that to each other. And Jihoon wasn't translating for them (which would have diffused the situation a bit I think).

But my god, the sounds I made when Mother Jihoon said "This is the failed dish, right?" That is a woman who was at her wits end and was over her sons shit.

Just when I think Paul can't top himself, he whips out a line like "I figured they'd use the arson, not the misdemeanor terrorism charge." He is the gift that keeps on giving.

Perhaps TLC could now have a "new" problem: Stupid American with feral child (x2) gets reservation confused and goes to NORTH Korea instead? (Would be a lot more interesting.....for at least an hour or two). I think those S. Korean parents would personally thank N. Korea for fixing their problem.

(Sorry if I am offending anyone but TLC's story lines are trite and OLD)

I don’t think this is first time Laura has picked a man over Liam.  It’s just the first time she left the country for one.  Poor kid.

There are buffets in Vegas that serve Korean style breakfast.  Jihoon’s parents should sneak out at night and get the next flight back to Korea —  and take their son’s return ticket with them.

Ronald needs new friends.

Paul should have not married Karine, let alone get her pregnant, before he the residency situation figured out.  Moron.  But then, thinking things through isn’t his strongest suit.

ETA: I think Deavan can barely handle driving to a Korean restaurant, never mind cooking a Korean meal.

So, going back about 20 years, my sister met the "love of her life" online (Facebook maybe?).  She lived on the West Coast of Canada, he lived in England.  I remember asking her why she couldn't find someone closer to home.  La la la when you find the love of your life, you don't have control over where he lives la la la.

At the time, my sister was in her early 40's and had just finished raising two kids as a divorced single mom.  She had been living at the poverty level for years and didn't have the resources or education to get herself out of poverty.  In short;  her life had been tough.

Somehow, she scraped together money to go visit Love of Her Life in England (actually, maybe he sent her the money).  My only question to her was "What the HELL are you doing?".  Her answer?  La la la - she was like a giddy virgin on the eve of her wedding.  She was soooo excited to be going to meet this dude in real life.

In hindsight, this was the one good thing that was going on in her shitty life.  A man who said he loved her and who made her feel special.  That's why she was relentless in pursuing the situation--because life at home kind of sucked.  It was willful oblivion.

Trip to England lasted two weeks and she hightailed it home because he was a Weirdo/Stage Three Clinger.  He got on the first plane he could to chase her home (not easy because she lived on a remote-ish island).  She had to tell him to get lost and thankfully he did.  Luckily, there was no scam involved, just two unhappy people living unhappy lives, each pinning all their hopes and dreams on the other person magically making their lives better.

My point?  Like my sister, these 90 dayers all seem to have sad lives and the fantasy of their online lovers is what makes them happy.  Unfortunately, they take it beyond fantasy and try to make it real life.  AND, they can't even find fantasy lovers close to home or in the same socio-economic strata as themselves.  No, they show willful oblivion to the fact that there is less-than-zero economic security going forward, and they find these fantasy lovers in countries where the Americans will be a fish out of water (at best) and marooned and helpless (at worst).  I'm thankful that my sister's worst mistake happened in England and not some very-culturally-foreign land with a limited builtin support system.

All that being said, while I understand the initial motivation for these bozos, they are all supreme losers who should know better.  20 years ago when my sister was doing this, there wasnt a lot of knowledge about scammers and bs online loves.  Today there is, so there is no excuse for these morons to take any of their online relationships beyond flirtation.  I reserve the right to relentlessy mock and snark anyone who voluntarily elects to parade their idiocy on t.v.

To paraphrase Neil Simon:  There's only one thing worse than a hopeless romantic, and that's a hopeful one.

Holy crap Jihoon and Deavan!  They are so screwed! I can’t believe his parents were eating raw bacon, lol! Didn’t she just wake up for breakfast and then Deavan was saying she needs to go to bed?? Does anyone know if they actually go to Korea? Because if they do, i would watch a show just about that.

That name works too. Is she only three  - I actually thought she was older, and if she is older, still being in diapers and non-verbal are kind of alarming.

And what is with all these foreign men and their attraction to big women who are usually blondes? Starting with Dinyell and her rosacea faced friend, Baby beluga Nicole, Angela, and now Laura and Jenny (not big, but blonde) I think they must be the only ones dumb or desperate enough to take the bait and every one of them are being scammed. I am older and blonde, and get instagram and facebook requests quite often from men. I am no brain surgeon, but am absolutely certain they are all fake photos and profiles from scammers, and ignore every single one of them.

And the less said about dumb-ass Corey the better.

My son is 3, and while he is capable of eating in a regular chair, we put him in a high chair so he's equal in height to us.  It helps him participate in the conversation.  : )  He also likes having his own try in front of him.  If Dracilla were my daughter, I'd never take her out of one (and I'd use the straps, too)!

I'm not surprised she was in a diaper in the morning since most kids her age needs diapers at night, but she should have been changed as soon as she woke up.

I have a question for any woman who has been pregnant: how long was it before you "knew"?  Deavan's story just seems so odd to me.  They spent 3 weeks together and she'd already taken a positive test before he left?  I mean sure, it's technically possible, but doesn't it take more than like 2 weeks to "feel" pregnant?

P.S.  If I were Jihoon, I'd be getting that paternity test ASAP.  And I'm proud of his parents.  Many in the same position would just go ahead and grudgingly bless the marriage so their grandchild isn't a bastard (old fashioned term, not an insult, just technically born to unwed parents, like myself).

I knew 2 weeks after conception. I didn’t feel odd, but during a regular “well woman” exam, my doc said things were not quite normal and had me take a blood test for pregnancy. I had had sex with my BF once, two weeks earlier. Apparently, I had been ovulating at the time I had sex and boom. I was pregnant. (Condom slipped off and I took Plan B the next day, but it didn’t work.)  I hadn’t  missed a period yet.

All women are different though. I never had any morning sickness or felt pregnant. But other women get lots of symptoms.

Corey is presented as a doofus and Evelyn as pure evil - all for our tv entertainment. They’ve gone overboard with these two imo.
