Kandi Burruss: Atlanta's Own Willy Wonka

It seems like the name you avoid if you see it on a resume.  I think thats what every parent should do....imagine their child's name on a resume 25 years from now.  I mean, of course we'll all be in flying cars but still.

If Ace turns out cute and does not inherit the big head gene, you know darn well Kandi and Todd are going to have him in the music bidness.  Kandi will be like a Lucious to Ace's Hakeem, hopefully without the drama.  Of course maybe Mama Joyce will be Lucious

I'm not a fan of the name Ace, either. It's like a term of endearment like what Logan called Rory on the Gillmore Girls and could be cute for a little boy but why not give him a real name and then call him Ace. it's more of an adjective like ace reporter, ace card player or footballer.

I'm hating Khandi these days anyway because she didn't even bother to get the story straight after that asshole DonJuan (another fucked up name) stuck his nose in Phaedra et al's conversation after the video party. Then she repeats the stupid lie to her mother. She has no sense whatsoever.

I'm not the biggest fan of Phaedra or Portia but Don Juan was wrong in that situation. I get he's her close friend AND she signs his paycheck however, butting into a personal conversation with an attitude....woo.. I mean that could have went even more sideways. Can you imagine of he pulled that shit on NeNe or Sheree?

The way he mocked Porsha with the neck rolling routine had no basis in reality and why was he telling her to go find the man that left her? That remark came out of left field and showed me he was really trying to get some camera time at the expense of Porsha.

I don't know the particulars, but I would think its possible a producer came up to him and told him the conversation was happening on camera.  And I think if Phaedra has a supportive crew and is not being challenged on facts or details she can go on and on.  And whatever Phaedra's version of events were could have gone unchallenged.  So, that could have been his reason for busting in.  Because really, he was there to support/work the event.  Why would he be outside in a quiet corner?  Maybe he wanted a smoke or something, but it just seemed awful pat that he was outside at the right time, in the right place.  And to me it almost looked like he was making a beeline for them, not like he had been lounging and just sort of heard something.  But that was just the impression that I got.

Was that the only picture? The poor kid has a gravity effect on the right side of his face and the photo just doesn't showcase him much at all. It's just a glamour shot of Kandi. I'm surprised the photographer was satisfied with that picture. Quite frankly Kandi's breastfeeding snapshot was a much better capture of the baby overall.

That gritty teeth thing is becoming annoyingly creepy.  Kandi always talk and smile through gritted teeth like she is trying to hold back some type of rage.

Wow, Kandi looked great on WWHL last night . Best she's ever looked. Her hairstyle was so flattering. Makeup and dress totally on point. Klassy. Just not crazy about the fringed matchy shoebooties. But I'll forgive her one error.

Such a long, long way from her first season of RHof Atl when she looked like a chicken head with that short mess of a haircut with the orange stripes in it. .

I have to agree. And it's in this strange monotone that cracks in a squeal or twang at odd points then goes back to talking with no intonation.

I have a friend who has done this.  It's something to do with both the parent and child recognizing cues of when it's time to go.  It's called elimination communication and apparently it works for many people.  http://www.parentingscience.com/infant-toilet-training.html

I don't have a kid, so I don't really know much about besides doing some research when my friend posted pictures on facebook of succefussly doing it with her daughter at around 4 months.

I don't know. Who wants to waste all that money on diapers if you don't have to?  i wouldn't be opposed to doing a version of that, if it saves me money in the long run.  I think 4 months seems too young though. Maybe at 8 I'd put him in the potty chair.

So Kandi and todd got kicked off a Hawaiian airlines flight

Here's the story from TT..... http://tamaratattles.com/2016/09/29/exclusive-details-kandi-burruss-and-todd-tucker-kicked-off-flight-to-hawaii/#more-23392

Read the comments, according to a post made by someone supposedly on the plane with the Tucker's, Kandi didn't do anything to warrant being asked to leave. That said, I would not put it past production to do something in order to garner press or to separate Kandi from the others causing upset at the start of the big Maui Atl. HW trip. LOL

heap of happy horseshit

tell me how you get past 3 different checkpoints, (bag drop, security and gate agent) scanning a raggedy boarding pass at each one but don't nobody know your ticket "isn't valid" until you're within 20 feet of the pilot?   And-uh, she wasn't beat about removal, she just wanted her luggage claim ticket.  Tuh!

tumblr_lre9g4QvRA1qjaso5o1_400.gif

I know it's not in her nature to fuck with anybody's money but I hope she makes an exception this time and embarrasses the hell out of the corporation behind Hawaiian Air.   If they're wrong, they inconvenienced the fuck out of a passenger in the most pain in the ass way possible for no reason whatsoever.   But the bigger problem is if they're right, they allowed two unauthorized passenger to breach several security thresholds.

I fly a lot, and I can assure you that you cannot get on the plane without first having your boarding pass scanned when you check bags, scanned by TSA, and scanned by the boarding agent at the gate. This is total bullshit. Either they found contraband in her luggage and removed her, or they caused a drunken scene and were removed.... or it's production-driven drama for the show. But I'd be really surprised if the airlines would allow that. Would Bravo allow Kandi to lie on camera and make up a story about the airline? Probably, but not likely. There's something totally fishy about this story.

totally fishy.    girl me too, about once a month I'm on a plane.  You get your boarding pass FROM the agent who takes your bags so.....they're gonna have to do better.    Anything's possible but I can't see either of them putting themselves at risk considering how regularly the both of them travel.  'Sides if those baggage handlers get down anything like they do at my home airport, that stuff would've been "confiscated" without that bag missing a beat, no need to disturb the flight, problem solved lol.   If it were anybody else,  {{looksoverglassesatPorsha}}, I'd be like this is why we can't have nice things.  But it's low key-takes-a-minute-to-snapout Kandi.  I can't wait to hear the rest either.

I did read an article recently about airlines removing passengers, seated passengers because they'd over sold the plane (or sumpthin). Point is -- they can and do sometimes remove people because of their (the airline's) mistake, and it has zero to do with the passenger. I thought, reading that article, nahh that doesn't happen, but lo and behold, turns out maybe it does. Or it was Bravo-nanigans.

I hope Kandi makes a stink about it because that is just ridiculous.

That's true too but they typically know it by the time you board.   They'll ask passengers to voluntarily give up their seat for air-dollars at the gate.  Equally annoying.  It didn't used to matter where we were my best friend would always be the one to raise her hand and I'd fly home without her lol.

I am not saying Kandi should have been taken off the plane but I have twice  had a flight attendent ask for my boarding pass after I was seated because it didn't scan properly and so they thought I wasn't on the plane. I gave it to them, they gave it to the gate agent it was scanned again, they returned it and all was right with the world. Again, them being tossed off the flight it is straight up bullshit but sometimes boarding passes don't register at the gate.

I could hear Todd's voice in the background, arguing.... they did something to warrant them being removed. Or Bravo paid Hawaiian Air for some free (albiet, bad, PR). If a boarding pass doesn't register at the gate.... you don't get on. Period. Security is so strict now I don't dare bring anything on the plane with me that doesn't already pass TSA inspection.

Totally team Kandi here.  She's not the type to make a stink about something on a plane, not the type to be drunk or drugged, she just wanted her baggage claim check before they left.  They asked for her ticket/boarding pass and she gave it to them but they didn't return it.  That's bullshit.  She wanted her baggage claim which is totally reasonable  because  like for instance if you want your bags at the end of your trip because your clothes and other items are in there.  Or if the airlines loses your bags you have your baggage claim ticket to prove you had bags so they can't just blow you off.  Or someone is checking baggage claim tickets and you don't have any way to prove it's your bag so you have to explain you're not stealing someone else's bag.  They owe her a major apology and by apology I mean free tickets.

On the upside, she looks fantastic.

If this report is even half true, I can see how things went from confusing to bye, bye, get off the plane for Kandi/Todd. It seems that Peter and Cynthia were on the same flight with them and it was 1 of them that got things stirred up with Kandi/Todd/airline personnel. http://www.realitytea.com/2016/10/01/real-housewives-atlanta-films-maui-photos-plus-hawaiian-airlines-admits-mistake-got-kandi-burruss-kicked-off-flight/#/slide/1

I like that you don't jump to conclusions with "one of them" stirring the pot. It's clearly Peter though.

Yes, that is total bullshit. TSA nor airline employees will never, ever do that unless you have something in your luggage that is contraband or illegal.

Well in my case I have gotten on twice in the last three years, so it does on fact happen,

@biakbiak, be careful.

Have no idea what the warning is for and the airline admitted they took her boarding pass because there was an issue with how it registered in the system. The only dispute is if they asked to get off the plane or demanded to be let off.

She said in the video that they were removed by airline personnel, and she had no idea why. Which is a lie. If airline personnel removes you from the plane (and your husband is heard arguing in the background), you've done something wrong. And TSA or the airline will tell you why you are being removed. They don't pick people and pull them from the plane without an explanation. Ever.

"The airline rep explains that shortly after Kandi and Todd boarded, their computer noticed an issue with their passes, so an airline employee asked to check them. Everything turned out to be fine, but in the melee of boarding passengers and getting the plane situated for takeoff, the flight attended forgot to return the passes, which included Kandi and Todd’s baggage claim tickets.

The airline maintains it was actually someone in Kandi’s group who demanded to “deplane” over the issue, so the pilot agreed to let them off rather than deal with further commotion. The airline says 45 minutes later Kandi, Todd, and their pals were able to board another flight and proceeded onward from Honolulu to Maui as planned."

Recap:

1.  there was no contraband in their luggage.  flight attendant forgot to give them their tickets back.

2.  you can indeed get pulled off planes for no reason whatsoever.

3. the airline acknowledges that someone else was causing the commotion yet the Tuckers were escorted off the plane.

don't shout out just type #unhuh if you see it.

Quote

The airline claims that as the flight was taxiing, Kandi and Todd became “irate,” demanding their passes returned, even though they were assured there would be no problems claiming their luggage. I guess they have some pretty nice stuff in that luggage.

I've had more than one unpleasant experience with drunk with power airline attendants.  Some, not all, of them think they can get away with treating people like crap because of 911 protocols.  Like no "back talk" allowed.  Well, sometimes people need to be held accountable for what their company is doing.  The problem started when the airline took Kandi's paperwork and didn't give it back.  They should have then gone out of their way to make it right, whatever it took.  If it was me in the airline position I would have told Kandi and her party that they would be met at the gate by a HA employee and escorted to the baggage claim where they would be helped with their luggage.  And here's some free food and drinks.  Not -we're gonna stop the plane, pull back to the gate and put you out.   Being escorted off a plane has got to be humiliating.

Well, there seems to be a dispute here, Kandi says they were put off the plane but the airline says they, Kandi/Todd/someone in their group (coughPeter/Cynthiacough) asked/wanted to get off the plane. The airline admits to their mistake with the ticket problem and not giving it back, so, I don't think they would lie about why they, K/T, left the plane.
