I totally agree and that is what Bravo is banking on. However, I still think they miscalculated if they are really bringing Nene back. She crossed too many lines for me. She’s no longer messy and fun

That's interesting, since they've all, at some point, said negative things about each other.  I was hoping to see some examples of the "lies" Kenya has said in regards to Nene, since I don't read any of their blogs, but I guess that evidence is only used once it goes to trial?

Does anyone know whatever came of the lawsuit the wedding planner filed against NeNe for defamation after that disastrous wedding show?

Love her sometimes, but Nene's whole schtick is saying hilarious mean things about other people, like "close your legs to married men, trashbox," or "your clit done left your body, half-breed," or that time she said Phaedra's rep in high school was for giving good head.  So, I fail to see what Kenya (or anyone) could say that would really harm her reputation because this kind of thing...it's kind of her brand, imho, and if anything, ongoing battles with other women have fueled her career.  Not sure why what Kenya says is any different.  Is it just because Nene was on Broadway recently and she wants to clean up her act a bit?  

 

Also, I'm not sure I would open this door if I had said similarly negative, potentially-defamatory things over the years and they were all documented.  Someone might come back at me.  But, it certainly makes the reunion more intriguing (assuming they haven't filmed it yet), so that's fun.

Isn't choosing to wear skanky-ass Little Dutch Boy wigs already harmful to one's reputation.  Girl needs to sue herself, and whoever styled her for that look.

I wish she'd ditch the blonde wigs altogether. She is much prettier when she has dark hair. That short cut with the bangs, if it were dark with auburn highlights, she would look great. But, she's easy to spot in those hideous things. The several times I've seen her at the ATL airport, you can see her a mile away. Which is probably what she's shooting for.

You made me change the channel. OMG... that is a horrible wig!! The worst yet. She doesn't have much to say about her clothes except "I love it! I love it!" And I don't love that layered thing with the ugly vest. Especially not for $79. I like layered looks, but not that. The all black one isn't too bad.

How I feel about Nene leakes this season

 

I feel she is still over it with this show, more so this season than any other season; possibly may leave the show.  Her storyline this season is mainly what she is doing outside of this show.  The only big confrontations were her making it clear she may never be friends again with Cynthia and that she never was with either Kenya or Claudia.  She tried to mother hen Demetria but Dee slipped over to the Petty side

Looks like Nene is being seriously considered as a replacement for Kelly Osbourne on Fashion Police. And it's not just coming from her camp. Interesting.

 

 

IIRC, she was also mentioned when they were looking for someone to replace Joan Rivers. That did not come from her camp either.   I don't think in a million years she could replace Joan, but Kelly maybe.

 

I did see a little bit of Khloe Kardashian with them when they did the Oscar fashion.   She seemed subdued to me, almost uncomfortable, but I only saw a few minutes. 

 

But I think E would go with a Kardashian any day if they can.

I think she realizes that while she might have had some short lived TV shows, and a Broadway role, the bottom line is that there are thousands of actresses out there more talented than she is.  RHOA is her "gig" and anything else she gets comes from her exposure on that.   I don't think she's willing to give it up just yet.  But I hope I'm wrong.  I was over her several seasons ago when she went on and on about her "Trump money".

I'm currently in the Los Angeles area and am seeing commercials for the Broadway play "Cinderella" now touring the U.S. No mention of NeNe, making history and all that. She needs this show more than ever, but so far she's not come up with any interesting storylines for herself.

I believe she is just biding her time until the right gig comes along.  It is so obvious she is just phoning it in this season on RHOA and she is pretty much over it.  I do suspect she will not give this up unless she gets something she can depend on for the long haul.  This franchise is her crutch right now. 

 

As for the Cinderella thing, she was only supposed to do the short term celebrity gig.  It was never for her to tour with them.

 

I just checked out a post from an Atlantian who went to Bar One.  She stated that she went to the bathroom and saw Clawdia talking trash about Nene to two other women.  She stated that the whole time she was in the bathroom, Claudia was continuously berating Nene to these two strangers.  Like the poster said in her posts  "Sad."

I know. I read this fine. But for her to say she's the next Joan Rivers based on being considered for the ensemble on one show or has made Broadway history due to one role is stupidly pathetic. And she needs to stop braying everything she says. One of my neighbors has won 2 Grammys and doesn't boast as much as this lady.

Nene is one of those people who start believing their own press.  I seriously don’t think she realizes her acting gigs are dependent on still being a RHOA, and that they are stunt casting.  I don’t believe for a minute that she’s turning down multiple acting gigs (perhaps she confuses having her manager send her scripts for her to audition = being offered the role?).   Jeez, she took a one week gig in Vegas, she’s not turning down offers for long term employment unless she’s stupid (and I think Nene is uneducated, but not stupid).

 

If she is being seriously considered for Fashion Police, then they’re changing the show to be totally scripted by writers.  Because, while I didn’t like Joan Rivers much, she was a great comedian and a very hard worker.  I don’t doubt she wrote all her lines(and probably her daughter’s) for Fashion Police.  Nene won’t bother, and can’t write them anyway.  She appears to be lazy and uninformed, with no inclination to change either behavior pattern.  Then Fashion Police will have more “oops” moments like skeleton-girl ( Gianca ? Ranic, can’t remember her name) who stupidly read the lines given her without thinking of how they might be perceived.  Maybe that’s what they want, in an “any publicity is good publicity” sort of way.  But none of that makes Nene a real celebrity or actress.

 

Serious question, since I have no idea how this works…when she was in Cinderella, would production have put her up in an apt at their cost, or did she need to pay for that?  Because if the latter, after her 10% to the manager, other costs, etc, I can’t see how she’s really making much money.  Presumably they didn’t pay for an apt in LA when she did Glee and the New Normal, again she’s spending a lot of money to make money.

 

I can’t see her having much $$ at the end of the gravy train.

 

I must have missed it, how did she make Broadway history??  <Lord, why am I asking?!?>

Actually if Nene gets picked up by FP, she would get Kelly's old seat.  She was also on the short list for Joan's seat but they went with Kathy Griffin. She is on their short list along with Kloe Kardassian.  She is being considered after Kelly quit due to her issues with Guliana.  She actually has great rapport with Rancic so that might mean she may just be picked. 

 

However, she did say that even though she is not happy with the way RHOA is going, she will try to stay on

Maybe she really DID stick her head out the window like a puppy.

I believe since she was driving, she had the window open. Problem is once she got out of the car, they were shooting so there was no time to remix her hair and Phaedra couldn't let her know it was messed up.

Nene...needs to do some self reflection because the truth of the matter is she's had an issue with every single person on the show with the exception of maybe Porsha. It's you boo! Own your shit!

Love this! I just wanted to add flames to the fire by adding that Nene has had 'an issue' or two with Porsha.

At the Season 5 reunion, she told Andy there is one cast member she feels should not return because said cast member is not being a "real" enough Housewife for Nene's liking. At the time, Nene wouldn't admit the name, though most people speculated it was Porsha. Nene later publicly revealed that she had been referring to Porsha as the Housewife who shouldn't come back, but she simultaneously decreed Porsha fit to be Housewife now that she and Kordell had split for good. Shades of trying to get someone fired for being irrelevant...

Last season, Nene got really offended to Porsha's face when Nene "discovered" Porsha had moved into her neighborhood (without Nene's prior, written consent, I guess?) The fight didn't get too hot or last too long, mostly because Porsha towed the party line and Nene was running out of allies, but it taught me that the only way to stay on Nene's good side is to:

1. Treat her like she's your parole officer by clearing every lifestyle decision, big or small, with her and;

2. Allow her to treat you like you're a sex offender, and make sure to get her approval every time you move

If Nene and Porsha ever draw up a friend contract, it's going to be weird.

Nene never came up with a friend contract. That Was Cynthia's idea and Nene found it weird and laughable when it was presented to her. Porsha and Nene simply have the same goals in common with thier careers which is what made them close. As for Nene's problem when Porsha moved into her neighborhood; she just expected if they are friends, she would've told her she was moving there like she did Phaedra and Kandi.  Nene apologized when she realized there was more going on with Porsha than a move and they got pass it.  It cannot be compared to her friendship with Cynthia who has proven time and again she is no real friend to anyone.

NeNe just purchased a 2.9 million dollar mansion, with a kitchen.

 

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes has plunked down a $750,000 down payment for a $2,0750,000 million mansion at the lush gated community Sugarloaf Country Club. (TMZ broke the story.)

 

The sale officially closed on Feb. 27. The U.K. Daily Mail said she took out a $1,324,000 million loan. The property had been on sale since last August with a $2.2 million asking price.

Uh oh.... Gregg is not on the title/loan?

He better start working out a new angle. That tells me all I need to know about NeNe... if she'd keep her husband out of her new home, he's probably not long for this marriage.

And don't even start with him having bad credit or something like that. Hers is worse than his, the two of them together have been evicted and her name being the reason they were in these various rental homes for her TV show activities.

People in Georgia with bad or no credit can get a loan. I know someone who filed for bankruptcy and was still able to get a car loan, although a high interest rate. NeNe is buying this house for HER. And her alone.

Looks like she's staying on Bravo for another year...I read her salary is $1,500,000.  Who knows if Andy isn't raising her salary for next season. I would think if she could show the bank a contract with Bravo she could qualify for a loan.  She may have saved her salary from Cinderella and clothing sales for the down payment $750,000. Who knows.

 

It appears to be a film worthy house...if she stays--lots of Nene house porn next season.  I'd like to see her house finished and furnished.  The pool area seems perfect for filming also.

I know, if she'd actually put some books on the shelves (yes, I know, that's a stretch) or make the house look like she lives there, I'd be all for it. Except for the suitcase with Gregg's name on it by the front door.....
