Katharine's hair looks so ratty this season, weird way off to the side part that also goes around the back of her head.  What the hell is going on - I think she normally has nice hair, doesn't she?  That girl could use a ton of help with makeup and wardrobe - she's so naturally beautiful but her makeup is too heavy and she doesn't really dress that well.

You took the words right out of my mouth.  I’ve never seen such a severe side part on a women, but she’s always done that.  I do like her with the long red hair.  I thought the ombré thing last year was awful.  However, if she can’t maintain the long extensions or whatever they are, she should go a bit shorter.

Darn, not a want a McDonald’s cheeseburger, minus the wine.

Hate to say it, but that RV trip the boys are taking looks fun.  LOL

They have a driver and they don't have to sleep in a tent. 😃

There is clearly a disconnect this season.  None of the cast, male or female has anything much going on and it boring.  I’ve been going to Charleston for a very long time and I love it.  One of the things that pulled me into this show was seeing Thomas’s downtown home, plantation and real estate porn.  I can understand why they gave Thomas the axe but I miss his drama.

Maybe they hired Eliza for those Charleston countryside scenes we used to get through Thomas - loved the beautiful horses and property!

Some general observations:

1)  Are the only men available to single Real Housewives/Charmers the short bald guys?  LuAnn, Bethenny and now Kathryn.  It's like the Mole Men from the old Superman are taking over TV ...

2) Cameran seems more attached to her daughter's stuff than to her little girl.

3) Beautiful RV!  But what's up with the granny decor inside?

4)  Had to laugh about the doors never opening.  My parents had a small truck camper and we ALWAYS had the same problem.

5) They seemed awfully close to the edge of the river, especially since it seemed to have no bank.

6) Whitney should have brought his own food in his own cooler.

It's like she does an odd comb over and I don't understand why. I don't think she has any bald or thin patches to cover up. Maybe if she curled her hair, that might help. She could easily ask Chelsea or Madison for guidance. And I agree, she is naturally beautiful.

On this show, guys' fight > girls' fight x1,000,000

Kathryn and that guy had no chemistry.  Their conversation was so damn stilted.  "Oh.  Meatballs.  As an Italian-American, I love meatballs."  Good stuff.   Kathryn just wants a wallet.  She was raised that way. She is making that expensive apartment look like trash.  Literally.

Eliza, Kathryn doesn't have a problem with you.  She doesn't care about you.  Huge difference.

Naomie is a terrible rider.  I'm a little tired of Danni's hurt.  She shouldn't be so surprised that Kathryn is being selfish.

I'm very slowly starting to see that there may be more to Madison than meets the eye.  I thought she was kind of trashy when she first came on.  I am reserving my opinion for a later date.

Ok.  Sigh. I miss Thomas.  I miss Ashley!

On the bright side, we finally got Patricia's visit to McDonalds.  But.....no ketchup?  Paired with red wine?  Yuck.

Other than horses and a brief shot of Tyson, no pets this ep!  I missed Bethany.  She has eclipsed even Gizmo in her cuteness.

I am really not feeling Cameran on this one.  To the nanny: "Do you believe in astrology?"  I mean, what the fuck?  Talking to Jason on the phone because he won't make a live appearance? Reminds me of Drita D'Avanzo from Mob Wives.  (Not sure if anyone is familiar with that show, but it's generally not a good thing to get compared to Drita D'Avanzo from Mob Wives.  Under any circumstances).

I loved Mob Wives and I miss it. Out of that cast, Drita and Big Ang were my favorites. I think Jason doesn't want to be on the show because he's a doctor and doesn't want to jeopardize his professionalism, whereas Drita's husband was in jail for a good part of filming, wasn't he. Or maybe it was a halfway house. Whichever one it was, there's a big difference between him not filming because he's a criminal and Jason choosing not to.

Oh, I was joking around with the Cam/Drita comparison. Sorry, I didn't mean to insult one of your faves!  Lee D'Avanzo wouldn't appear on the show even after he became a civilian living at home, and Drita was always shouting at him on the phone.  What I don't like about either scenario is that I am giving up (arguably) valuable time to watch these people, and I don't tune in to watch them FaceTime.  I certainly don't tune in to see them putting away baby clothes and talking on the phone, regardless of the reason.  I take that as an insult from Bravo.

I don't think Cameran brings much to the show.  If she doesn't want to film her real experience, for love or for money, I think she should be cast aside for someone who will (and hopefully that person will actually be entertaining).

Who cuts flowers with a serrated knife?!?   And directly on the countertop.   I hope the home owners required a large security deposit from Kathryn.

I couldn't get over that. I was yelling at the TV, "OMG, you don't cut right on the countertop!" Talk about inconsiderate.

I had to laugh when Cameran asked Jason if he had any questions for the potential nanny.

Jason: "What about dogs?"

Cameron: "This is a nanny for Palmer, not for Elvis."

Ketchup.  Is not a tomato. Ketchup has tomato as the main ingredient, but it is still?  Not a tomato.

Giving Michael side eye for being an ass at the drive thru because HE got it confused.

Generally I find him amusing. Not tonight.  Pompous.

You didn't insult at all. Mob Wives was a guilty pleasure for me LOL! I didn't even remember that Lee got out of jail during the show - it's been awhile. But I definitely remember them arguing and yelling over the phone.

I'd like to see Cameran doing more day to day stuff with Palmer and juggling that with work. Granted, it's not exciting at all but I think I'd prefer that than watching her hanging out with Shep.

I'm a little bored with guys discussing the Austen/Madison situation. I guess we'll have to count on Kathryn to bring the drama. And that one Ashley appearance.

Shep, Austen and Craig are just shiftless.  There is no point to anything they do.  And yet, Shep is an expert on everything.  This show has lost its shine.

RV trip was a producer thing.  Why drive 8 hours to arrive at a camp site when it was pitch black dark?

Why not go to some boutique accommodation nearby like that treehouse place?  Or one of the swanky resorts like they’ve done in previous seasons, at least there would be nice scenery and maybe pretty rooms.

They were buying up supplies they’d never use again like $100 lawn chairs.  Bravo paying of course.

Whitney showing up with designer luggage, could tell he really didn’t want to do this but maybe this season without Thomas, they wanted him to be on camera more.

So he didn’t want to eat peasant food.  Honestly he’s probably used to expensive meals at restaurants.

They all probably would rather drive into nearby town and find a restaurant there.  But who knows, producers suggested breaking Craig’s balls about the food, not to mention how they got k8ndling

Oh and the greatest irony, Muppet mouth Austen accused Shep and Whitney of being Muppets characters!

Sorry Michael. But for me, tomato is the name of the produce in it's solid form. Ketchup on the other hand is different. Thus, at a drive through when you say tomato that is what is assumed.

Shep has certainly lost any "charm" he may have  had in earlier seasons. He was on WWHL last night. He called Madison trash, again. A caller wanted to know if he had a thing for Madison, since he had such a strong reaction to her relationship with Austen. He said no, that it was all about how she ruined Austen's reputation or something like that. Shep is also going to Jax and Brittany's wedding (Vanderpump) this weekend. He wants to take Charlize Theron, because he is "fun on tap". This is Shep's new saying. Is he 12?? He just came off as a clown last night on Andy's show.

Yeah, but pretty sure there were slave quarters at the back of the house. No way you've been a seventeenth generation Charlestonian without growing your fortune on the back of free labor. I'm gently amused at the way that all of these "first families" just glide right by that fact.

She needs to call it daycare or Mother's Morning Out (a lot of churches have a morning program for very young children)

But it's very rare to have a SCHOOL PROGRAM for a one-year-old.

Eliza talking about the Limehouses and Ravenels like they're royalty was a bit much. She's really young so I try to give her a bit of a break, but she annoys the crap out of me.

I'm telling myself they left out the parts where Kathryn kept washing her hands as she went from food to trash, food to trash. I mean, she manhandled the meatballs.

The men on this show are awful. They make me feel sorry for Craig and I hate feeling sorry for Craig. I'm assuming they were all hammered from 8 hours of drinking - and are there no camping sites that are closer, FFS? Also, only bringing 4 ears of corn? Is corn that expensive that they couldn't have gotten enough for seconds? LOL. Why am I even pondering this????

Still having no problems at all with Cameran's parenting. It all seems pretty normal to me. I read somewhere that her husband makes an appearance this season, so we'll all finally get to see him "in person."

Years ago I went to an art exhibition by some ex-NFL players. Mostly horse related art and sculpture.  The interesting thing was that they (A-A’s) were not offended by them. They told the story about that during the Civil War many people had fine breeding horses that were in danger of being killed (barn burning) or taken by the opposing troops to be used for riding or for driving supply wagons. Those lawn jockeys took their precious stock at risk of their own lives, deep into the woods, lowlands and swamps so that they couldn’t be re-appropriated until which time it was safe to return them to their owners. Many of the fine lineages were saved by them and their (the NFL guys) art commemorated that. I too, always thought it was an insult. Who knows. Perhaps it’s a memorial to a jockey who saved their horses during the war.

I’m not trying to be controversial here. I realize they are offensive to many.

I feel like Whitney, Shep and Cam are actually friends.  Whether they were friends before the show, I don't know but they seem to be tight now.  At Craig's pillow party last week, they let all the others go off to the patio and they stayed and gossiped about them.  😆

So I get Whitney and Shep sort of tag teaming at Austen and Craig.  They never take into account that Craig is not built to withstand the teasing they dish out.  He takes it personally, and then they sort of feed on the energy and it becomes a vicious circle.  I will be surprised if the next episode doesn't start with Shep and/or Whit going to apologize to Craig and then he comes back out and everything is fine.

ETA: Shep and Whitney are grown ups and should have learned by now that Craig is going to react that way, so not trying to excuse their behavior.  But I grew up with 2 older brothers and learned very quickly that if you react to the teasing it will only get worse.  If you let if slide off your back they get bored and move on.

Is it possible that Kathryn has a low IQ? I'm not trying to be mean,  I am just  shocked at her lack of common sense and inability to do common tasks with any competence. Even her table manners make it look like she was raised by wolves.  She put her expensive china in a microwave- risky thing to do for someone who says she loves it.  She points to the microwave with her leg telling the date to get the food.   Scary.  She also talks very slowly, like she can't think quickly.  Maybe that's not relevant I don't know.

In terms of her hair, it looks like she adds hair to cover what might be roots or a bald spot.  It does not look natural or good.

On the topic of Shep, he comes off badly in this episode, and I'm not sure for me he can recover.

I found the treatment of Craig very stressful to watch and not funny at all.  Shep and Whitney seemed to be sitting back letting Craig and Austen do all the work then criticized it.  If Whitney had this diet, I don't understand how the food supply didn't include things he would eat.  Calling Madison White Trash is disturbing.  Why add White? Does he talk about other trash with a different adjective?  It makes me very uncomfortable with him now.
