We have Commencement tonight for my school. While the students and parents/family members in the audience will be stressed, as they are missing Game 6 of the NBA playoffs (I'm in Canada), I'm stressed, as I'm missing the finale of Project Runway. PVR has been set, and I'm nervously hoping for a win for Sebastian (and for the Raptors, too!)

I've been calling Sebastian Christian the entire show, so I'm not surprised that I did it here. Maybe I'm already projecting that Sebastian will win and have a fabulous career, just like Christian!

I wish we could spike the punch. We never get to spike the punch.

I just got to watch last week's episode.  Hester!  I spit up a little in my mouth when she whispered,  "Three Hesters" in  last week's episode.  Cmon Garo and Sebastian!

I'm going to say this now and you can hate me later. I've never understood the Von Furstenberg love. Those wrap dresses with huge prints made my eyes bleed back in the day and I was actually too young to be into fashion yet.

The episode starts four days out from the show. The messy bun stylist lady will be back. Model selections. Garo was focused on plus-sized models. He says it doesn't make sense to corset someone who's already stick thin. The option to spend $300 at Mood, but it comes out of their work time. Garo wants to make yet another look even though he already has so many options. Sebastian doesn't want to present that gorgeous Nina challenge white dress that the judges loved.

Day 2:

Sebastian goes to Mood. Brings Christian coffee. Hester very charming in talking heads: saying runway ready like wonway weady, & Project Make As Many Garments As You Can. I swear it's foreshadowing... Damn you editors!!! *shakes fist!*

Messy Bun Lady Marni makes brief appearance. 

Off to meet DVF socially. She's very charming. Aw, I want a hug, too! Inspiring talk!

Mine was a small scale print, on a black ground. It was an amazing dress and I wish I still had it.

Day 3:

Just realized how much Hester is talking about Thijin's dress. Sebastian gets rid of the belts. Doesn't use the fabric he went to Mood for. Garo doesn't use that silver dress the judges loved. He says his goal was to make it to the finale. Hmm...

Christian says kind words. I'm gonna miss seeing him regularly. 

The show space is beautiful.

Sebastian says he knows himself more. The lighting for that talking head looked different. Hmm...

The venue they are showing at is beautiful. No matter who wins I’ve enjoyed this season. I feel they didn’t really showcase Karli too much. I liked Christian as a mentor, but I always liked him even before this. I thought I’d miss Tim but oddly I didn’t because Christian did a great job. Hope they lose Marni next season, she wasn’t needed.

Day 4:

Dressers & models & makeup. Sebastian says no sitting or eating. Garo is still sewing, like on a machine. The zipper comes out wavy. Mystery holes & stains. Contestants past & present. 

Sebastian's was beautiful. Loved the colors, asymmetrical collars, pants, flowy white dresses, the belts. I cried.

I didn't like Garo's shiny fabrics. His worst look was on.... wait for it.... model Kate. They avoided showing her face. Big mistake leaving out the silver dress. Huge.

I liked some of Hester's jackets & little tops & the finale dress. Dear God, who told that model to spin like that!?

I think Garo's out. & I think Sebastian should win.

Hester's lead model really knocked it out of the park -- as Hester-y as that look was, the model kicked ass in it. There were actually a couple of Hester's looks I didn't hate -- the dress with the clear vinyl/plastic was not horrible and looked like something someone who is edgy could wear and receive positive side-eye. The rest of it? Not so much. . . 

Garo isn't going to win -- agree that he started off elegant and went downhill after the white pants.

Soooo nervous. I don’t want Hester to win, but I’m afraid she will. I think Sebastian should have kept the belts, they were very unique.

Loved Sebastian’s collection and liked more of Heather’s than I thought I would.

I agree.....whatever my personal taste of their designs, at least there's no hack work (I excuse Garo the unfortunate zipper on the dress he had to take in) and they all have a POV.

Garo's not stupid and while I'm sure he wants to win, I think he'll feel okay if he doesn't. He already is a known entity in fashion and he has a successful business. It will still be considered a success for him because it has elevated his profile, and he knows that -- I'm sure that was a large part of why he went into the whole thing in the first place. Even if he doesn't win, he's expanded his exposure for an already existing successful brand.

The other two are trying to "launch" and a win or loss for them will be much more life-alteringly impactful.

I'm a few minutes behind, so a handful of preliminary thoughts before the judging starts and inevitably pisses me off:

* Nice of Karlie to show up in a bonus Sebastian look. What the hell??!

* Kate may be his downfall, but I love Garo for not going the "token big girl" route, and literally and figuratively embracing curves for his show, just as he's done through the season. 

* It's too early for a picture to include here, but any judge who bitches about Garo being costumey and praises Hester, is fired. For life. Thijin gets my vote for model of the season, but there is no. chance. in. hell. anyone is wearing cherub bodice + tulle micromini tutu + built in garters, to anything but a costume ball. Come the fuck on.

A great season!  I began watching on Lifetime.  Never thought I say this.... but it was a classy show on Bravo!
