I wonder how an International divorce/ custody would work if Tiffany initiates the divorce in the States but Ronald is in South Africa and the original marriage took place in South Africa. I know the Deavan and JiHoon’s custody situation is a mess but I’m not sure if they are already divorced or not. . .

I wonder if that's why Tiffy (according to her crook husband) hasn't registered their marriage in the U.S.?   And I wonder if Carly has a S.A. passport, or anything else?

My understanding (I know a lot of international couples) is that if a parent refuses consent, that the child can't leave the country (to avoid those awful multi-year international custody battles).    So depending on  how the legal paperwork is, if Tiffy takes the kids to S.A., and Ronald says that he refuses consent, then Carly can't leave until a court hearing.   However, he can't stop Tiffany or Daniel from leaving, and unless the judge is whacko, he will never get custody of his daughter.

So sponsorship is for life, not just 10 years?    So Tiffy the Cold Shoulder Queen didn't tell stepdad or whoever he is about Ron the Thief's background?   He didn't watch this show?    So she wants him to sponsor Ron for life?

If Tiffy manages to import Ronald to the U.S., apparently it will require sponsorship, and in their case the stepdad or dad will be asked to co-sponsor.   If they divorce after that, then the sponsorship agreement isn't for 10 years, but lifetime.   There are only three outs to this:  1. The immigrant leaves the U.S.   2. The immigrant becomes a U.S. citizen  3.   The immigrant works 10 years and pays into Social Security.      I can see Ronald finally getting here, divorcing, and then sitting on the couch the rest of his life, letting others support him.

Tiffany has put herself in a terrible position for having married Ronald, not only because of his gambling addiction and untrustworthy behavior but his ensuing legal problems most likely preventing him from entering the U.S.  She made a huge mistake getting involved with him and placing her son in the position of being verbally berated by "his dad."  It's time to cut her losses and let Ronald go.

I wonder if it's really the end, or if it's time to sign up for another season?    They seem to break up, and make up about the time when the producers are casting for the next season's shows.    How many public announcements of impending divorce, or big fights have been announced?   Quite a few.   My guess is they'll finally end the relationship when the TLC / Sharp dollars stop coming in.

Maybe the attorney finally got through to her that if she and her father/stepfather sponsor Ron, and if he ever gets to the U.S., and then they divorce, that the sponsorship becomes forever.  According to the sessions with the attorneys this week for Tiffy, and Low (it was on the preview).  In the case of divorce, sponsorship would only end if he becomes a citizen, works 10 years paying into Social Security, or leaves the country.   He actually could stay with her, or even move out with someone else,  never get a job, and sit on the couch all day, and the sponsor would have to support him.

I find it despicable for Ronald the Refrigerator Thief to tell Daniel to nag Tiffany every day, asking when they're moving to South Africa.       Ron is such a manipulator.     Turning Daniel into Ron's puppet, and wanting him to nag his mother is so typical of Ronald.  I wonder if R & T even applied for a visa for him?   Or if he was already rejected.    The application acceptance is only step one of a very long process.   There are interviews, a medical exam for him from an approved list of doctors, submitting copies of his official police record, and maybe a DNA test on Carly (Pole from Pole/Karine needed one for the baby I think, so you go ahead and do it, so you won't have to wait on the results).

Besides, if Tiffy moved to S.A. she wouldn't get a work permit for a long time.   So, everything would have to be financed by Tiffany, and TLC.    I keep reading reports she's launching a makeup line, who's financing that?

Tiffany may have told her father, and others about Ron's gambling addiction, but I bet she didn't broadcast the criminal record to everyone, in detail.    I think the biggest issue from what I read about his record is getting caught with a pocket full of LSD, and Heroin.

I had to laugh at Tiffy telling her sister on "Love Takes Hostages", that she'll never move to S.A., or allow her children to stay there six months a year if they get split custody.

I was wondering if she thinks the viewers forgot her dragging her son to S.A. for the wedding, etc., encouraging him to call Ron the Refrigerator Thief Dad, and saying they would stay in S.A. until the visa was approved.    Apartment shopping, and all of the warnings to Daniel about being robbed, kidnapped, and trafficked must have been erased from her memory.

The visa application being accepted is Step 1, of a long process.   It's not a signal to buy a plane ticket for Ronald.

The sponsorship provision is for 10 years, but in case of divorce it's lifetime, but there are exceptions.

I think when the TLC dollars stop they will divorce, although they did REALLY well in the Love Games and seemed to be happy.  Who knows?

Love Games was an eye opener for some couples... they really did seem to get along well. But, I think they both know how to play to the cameras and play things up on social media. Either way, I don’t think it’s healthy to put your relationship through that type of strife even if it is “acting”.

This is the way I feel about Family Libby. I think the majority of their antics are created or overly embellished for TV. However, that they're willing to act that way and go along with it still makes them trash.

From the preview, the application was accepted, that just sets up the interview, and submission of many documents.    He still needs to submit his criminal record from the police, a physical (from an approved doctor), the sponsorship agreement from Tiffy of the Cold Shoulders, and her bio. dad. or whoever is stupid enough to sign it, and I'm not sure what else.    Also, a DNA test for Carly, since that could be asked for, and there is no fast track way to do that, so have one just in case.

However, I laughed at the interview practice clip of Ronald, and I guess an attorney?    I didn't catch exactly who the other person is, but the answer to criminal record was so funny, and very true.

In the preview clip of the mock interview, was Ronald stoned?

I bet that the immigration authorities get a lot of citizens sending information every time Ronald is on the screen.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone is sending raw footage of things like his criminal records, and boasting about lying to his former boss about Ronald repaying him, and laughing about not paying.

Ronald and Tiffany will never be the adult, stable parents that Daniel and Carly deserve.     I hope Ronald never gets admitted to the U.S., because he will never be self-supporting, or anything but a criminal who will fail again and again.     With his arrest record, I doubt that he will ever get even a retail job, or anything paying a decent wage.   When I worked in a department store, we all had to be bonded, and if you had bad credit, or a criminal background you couldn't even get a minimum wage job.

According to the Zied situation, even getting a visa doesn't mean you get a work permit for many months, so how will Ronald support himself?    Though I will admit there are a lot of unattended refrigerators in Maryland for him to liberate.

They don't have a casino in Frederick, but there are plenty within a close driving distance, so he has lots of chances to spend every penny Tiffany and company have.

In the practice interview Ronald seemed hung over, and looked high or drunk.

For Carley's sake it is apparent the only way she will get to see her dad is if he comes here. I support that (runs, hides!) because I feel any good years with her father are important. If he decides to go back, or commits infractions that require he leave then so be it but cold shoulders has done everything she can. I do not know that her parents are immigrants, you can't assume because they are Cuban and Colombian that they are but maybe their parents were the immigrants who came here, but if they are I think they will support that too. Maybe that is good for Tiffany and Ronald where so many American parents were born and raised here and are far from the immigrant experience. IDK. It's a mess and both Ronald and Tiffany are messy. Those kids deserve stability.

I think even though Tiffany always "presents" well, and is relatively articulate, I agree that she is messy. Certainly she loves the kids but she is indeed messy.

She's kinda making me ill.  It's SO UNFAIR of her to put poor Daniel right up in the middle of HER relationship with Ronald.

Then Ronald tries to get Daniel to do his bidding with his mom.  It's just SICK.

Tiffany thinking that her dad needs to "pay her back" by signing off on Ronald's visa FOR LIFE is  just sheer lunacy. And Dad might actually DO that???  DOAH!

Ronald's statement on the preview for this week telling Tiffany "you know your place" as if he's the financial, or any other way, head of the household is ridiculous.    He's finally showing what he really is to her.     That behavior is a huge red flag to me.

I bet Ronald already was turned down, knows he won't ever come to the U.S., and wants another TOW season, and Tiffany and kids to move there.   However, we've already had that show once, and it's not going to be more interesting this time around.

Since the unemployment rate in S.A. was about 30% the last time I read up on it, I'm guessing a free lance make up artist won't be in high demand.     Without TLC and producer money, I'm guessing Ronald and Tiffany won't be able to support themselves in S.A., not that they can do that in the U.S. either.

My guess is that Ronald already was turned down for the visa, or is lying about skating on all of the charges and will never be considered for a visa.   So Tiffany's father was safe signing the agreement, because he'll never have to follow through.

From the previews, it looks like next week (20 June) is when TIffany takes her wardrobe of cold shoulder tops, and visits Ronald the Refrigerator Thief in S.A.    That should be explosive.

The preview for next Sunday, with Tiffany taking her kids, and her infinity supply of cold shoulder tops to S.A. to tell Ronald the Refrigerator Thief things he's not going to like could have gone very wrong.      Daniel couldn't be forced to stay in S.A., because he's not related to Ronald, but if Ronald gets ticked, then he could refuse permission for Carly to leave.    If Tiffany never registered the baby as Ronald's, and even if she only has a U.S. passport, Ronald could cause problems.     Also, I don't know when this was filmed, but the South African variant has caused a lot of border closures, and taking kids traveling during a pandemic is another bone head move by Tiffany.

I think it was filmed November December because they were talking about her being back for Christmas to celebrate at Mama's home. At least they talked about that in the beginning. Not sure when she actually is on the plane heading to South Africa, but I don't think the "variant" was around then. I still am surprised that the travel went on then as I wasn't aware of international travel going on in any way but obviously I am mistaken.

Now I have one more question about the remote learning. How would the school know that Daniel (or anyone traveling) is not in the US ?

Saturday night I caught up with a cousins of mine, they are South African and they told me that they have not been able to see their family there since 2019 and the family that is still there are warning them NOT to come to SA, the third wave is fully involved there and they are slow to get any of the vaccines there.  I was sure that there was a travel ban to SA during the pandemic...maybe it was just for people with a brain in their head.

So it tracks that Tiffany of the Cold Shoulder Shirts and Bad Decisions would pack up her children and head to SA to you know, see if her relationship is any good, shouldn't she know that by now, this girl cannot take "yes" for an answer...Yes, her relationship is not working out!

I can probably try to answer that:  In Minnesota, we can not teach to anyone online/in a DL model who is not in Minnesota.  Even if they go to Florida I can not teach them.  (Why a kid would want to go to school on vacation is beyond me. Then again parents who take their kids out for a week annoy me as well, lol.)  I would need a teaching license from that state or country.  We have an Indian/African population and kids will go there for three months to visit and I am legally prevented from teaching them.  We were told that by the state, I can't imagine Maryland being much different.  The second reason the school would know:  Kids are giant blabbermouths.  Daniel would be announcing:  Guess what?  I know you are all morning meeting but I am getting ready for dinner!  I AM IN SOUTH AFRICA!!  Followed by blinking SOS with his eyes!

The really rich people I heard about have second homes, (the size of a mansion usually), and many fled there when places like NYC were shut down.   So the kids weren't there for a week or so, but for months.   Some people also moved to other states and bought, and are staying there.

From other posters, they're filming the tell nothing in NYC now, and Ronald the Refrigerator Thief better not be sitting on stage.  If he is, I'm calling my senator's office the next day, and complaining about letting a serial criminal in this country.

This is highly unlikely.  Like other posters have suggested, Ronald has ZERO intentions of coming to the US, hence has tanked the interview, trying to force Tiffany's hand into coming to SA.  She refuses, Daniel begs to stay in US with Gramma, and then we call a divorce attorney.

I’m not sure what to believe.  This article says that Tiff and kids have been in SA since Dec.  That ticks me off in light of all her big talk about not living in SA and how it was unsafe and unfair to Daniel....yet she does it anyway?  Total BS!  If that is true she is a psycho.

When I took my kids to Ohio for my surgery the teacher could see the sign-in location for the online work and meetings. Some school systems have "locks" and if your IP location isn't from one of the approved areas (generally within that county and maybe a 10-mile radius) you can't even sign on. We had to get an override permission from the superintendent for them to be able to access the online learning stuff. Even then they weren't allowed to work on new assignments, only catch up on others and do reading through Raz Kids.

You might be able to hide it for awhile but Tiffany & Co aren't the brightest bulbs in the tool shed. Although Daniel does appear to be the smartest one in the bunch (with Carly running a close second) I don't see any of these people hiding a trip to South Africa for 3 months.

This is, after all, the same woman who thought her dad didn't know about her husband's gambling problem despite it becoming her unofficial mantra on an international television show.

Yes, as I recall DUI, embezzling, stealing and pawning his mother's refrigerator, caught with a jacket full of LSD and Heroin (but it was someone else's jacket).   His record is quite extensive if that's what Tiffany saw.

Someone on Reddit who claims to be a personal friend of Tiffany's family says that Ronald's visa was actually approved in November or so.  Then, Tiffany started saying she wants a divorce.  She doesn't want him here because he's a freeloader. The visit to the lawyer with the forehead crease was all staged for the show.

I may have considered a vacation fling and not end up on the show. Once i found out about the criminal record and that he is a recovering addict for all of two minutes, I would back off for at least 6-8 months before pursuing anything. Not get knocked up and rush in to a marriage. No thanks.

Maybe a better dude is waiting in the wings.

It must be time to sign up for another season, the messy public breakups always seem to happen about sign up time.    Then, when the couple sign up for more air time, and more payments, then they get back together.    I bet if someone from the production company offered another TOW season, or a stand alone show, that they would be back together immediately.

As much as I like the "preserved Peaches" remark, it says Ronald preserved Tiffany's instagram posting.     I don't believe anything either of these fools say, they just want another season of TLC money.

It seems pretty clear to me that she can’t stand Ronald and does see the writing on the wall, but she puts that all aside in order to get a paycheck.  I hope she knows the potential issues, like trying to leave SA with their daughter if Ronald forbids it or just takes off with her.  Can she afford litigation?  She really is risky with the kids.  After all the safety concern talk, she seems to have forgotten it.

I'm hoping there's a lot of juicy footage next week, when Ronald and Tiffany start fighting.

But we know how it goes, they fight like mad then the next thing we hear is how they both want to make it work, blah, blah, blah, rinse and repeat.

My question is if you fought with your partner every time you spoke to each other and that was when you were just dating why would you get married to that person?

Dating is supposed to be the fun part of your relationship, getting to know a person, deciding if you want to keep seeing that person...clearly they think otherwise.

Did Tiffany think Raw-nold would magically be a different person once they married and did Raw-nold think Tiffany would stop wearing those shoulderless shirts, ever?

I read that you have to go through the state Attorney General's office in the state you live in to see if the marriage is valid, so in Tiffany's case, it depends on if the marriage was recognized in South Africa (or faked for the cameras), and legal in the U.S. according to TIffany's state law.    I wonder if Tiffany registered her marriage in the U.S., or if it's valid here?

From my own experience it takes AGES to validate the marriage in South Africa! I have friends who've waited a year or so for their marriage certificate after getting married in South Africa. I also know SA has high marriage fraud so you have to interview at Home Affairs to receive a marriage license if you plan to marry a foreign national to show you have a real relationship! Ronald and Tiffany didn't discuss the interview at home affairs when they got married so I always wonder if they did in fact get married.

I cant figure out what appeals to Tiffany about Ronald.  I just don’t get it.  Tiffany is a piece of work, but she can at least project herself as personable at times.  Ronald struggles to do that.  He doesn’t have a winning personality at all.  Even when he’s planning on a good deed, it comes off as a con or scam.  He doesn’t project sincerity and genuine emotion, imo.  Yet, Tiffany can’t get enough of it........BS.  What does that say about her?

See, I know I’m in the minority but I get Tiffany’s frustration with Rawnold. She is married to a loser. He doesn’t do shit. He acts like a teenager. He can’t even put food on the table, and he lives in a shithole. I wouldn’t wanna be married to him either. She says she does everything alone in the States, and she expected that when she’s with “Love” he’s gonna help her out. Instead, she still has to take care of the kids AND direct Rawnold on what to do. She wanted a man, and she has to manage kids and  the giant man-child. That’s mentally exhausting.

I get it too but she is equally exhausting. She chose him and knew who she was marrying. She also agreed to move to SA, got pregnant and changed her mind.  She likes to be with losers because she has an inferiority complex and loves to try to fix Ron while belittling him at the same time. She also dragged Daniel into it and convinced him SA was great While telling him Ron is his new daddy. He told her he wanted to go home  but she tOld him to suck it up. When it became convenient she used him and the baby as an excuse to move back to the US. He is an asshole  but so is she.

True, but she still says she’s going to try to make it work.  I don’t get why.  She lives in a fantasy land. Apparently, she hasn’t educated herself about addiction, because she still believes she can keep Ronald from relapsing.  She isn’t able to really advocate for her children when it comes to him, though she pays it lip service.  All the verbal sparing....is just a waste of time. It’s as if she thinks if she tells Ronald what she expects from him 2999 times, it’ll finally sink in.  Lately, I honestly wonder if he doesn’t have some kind of cognitive issue...seriously.  I have suspected that with another person on this show, but now I also suspect it here.  He may not be capable of what she expects.   🙁

I think as long as TLC money keeps coming, that Ronald and Tiffany will keep appearing.   I bet if she could get another The Other Way season, she would move to South Africa.

My guess is that if TLC said they were done with her, that Ronald would be divorced instantly, and she would cancel the sponsorship for the Visa.

I understand that Tiffany is frustrated with Ronald, but she is no better. She is an adult woman, who chose to marry and procreate with a man who lived on the other side of the globe- KNOWING he was a recovering addict, unemployed, unstable, a thief (from his own mother!) and then complains that his steps towards bettering himself are miniscule. Tiffany has been living with her OWN mother and asked her father to co-sponsor her husband. (I just could not with that) Tiffany wants all of these adult freedoms and treatment without adult responsibilities. Before criticizing Ronald she needs to look in the mirror.

I have given Tiffany the benefit of the doubt for a while, but she has not grown emotionally at all since she had her son at 18 (and that is on her not Ronald), Tiffany is doing her job as a caregiver to her kids, but that is only ONE part of parenting and adulthood. She should making focus on getting herself together before she can be a partner to anyone.

If Tiffany wants an adult man, she needs to be an adult woman first. I do think she owes it to Ronald to say getting married was a mistake, she doesnt want to be with him, and they can work out some sort of visitation for the children. I think she made a mistake letting Daniel get so attached to him so quickly, but that's done now.

I think Tiffany has a "Capt Save a Bro" complex. But to quote Jason's Lyric "You cannot keep trying to save a brother that does not want to be saved."

Idk about Tiffany either.  I wonder if she has the ability to think things through.  Does she have the logical skills to figure this stuff out?  Does she have the ability to plan, manipulate, or stage her games?  It’s difficult to say. For her to be in this situation with Ronald....hmmmm....is it really over her head?  Just seems like a cluster to me.  Does anyone know if she was planning on this mess with Ronald when 90 Day was in full swing?  The only thing that makes sense to me is that she wanted to get on a tv show and Ronald fell in her lap.

Tiffany met Ronald on vacation and they hooked up. This is a prime example of when you try to turn your vacation hookup into your partner. Tiffany already had a son so she had to be EXTRA careful when bringing people into her life. What gets me, is that she KNEW he had all of these problems before they got married and she became pregnant.

It would really be a different thing if she married him, became pregnant and he relapsed after years being being clean; I could understand her being blindsided a little better. Addiction is a disease, but when someone is in the throws of their addiction they are often not capable of being a partner or parenting.

I think Tiffany did like/have fun with Ronald when he was in a good place, but she really needs someone who’s more “adult” than her, and just wants a kind pleasant person who will do the caregiving for the kids. Ronald feels like she is holding his child over is head- but he hasn’t really done the work he needs to do regarding his addiction and bettering himself to provide for his daughter. There’s no reason he couldn’t have been sending Tiffany money all these months for the baby- he was living with his mom. Any money outside of toiletries and gas should’ve been going to the baby until he got a more stable type of employment.
