On a positive note, Elizabeth Warren is the only reason I didn't change the channel, but I'm about to now. Later guys and gals! 😎

Elizabeth Warren was pretty great .

I'm not really sure why I needed to hear from her, today? Well maybe I do, know why .  Anyway she delivered what I was looking for.

Grrrrr, no offense to the cast of The Prom, but i really wanted to hear EWs response to Ws insurance question.  Talk about a cliffhanger, they couldnt have timed that sequence any better. All they needed was a don......don........DOOOOOOOONNNNGG! at the end.  Sorry didnt know how to spell that w/o it sounding pornographic hah.  Anyway just going to send a lot of traffic to EWs website for the answer.  Me anyway. Im just curious what her plans are for that lol.  She did have many great ideas, but seriously?  We would be one hell of a country if all that went through.  Aint gonna happen.  PHew,!  I just lost my browser, and sorry, not going to type this all again hah.  Thankfully recovered it.  Back to my thought if all that were done, what would there be for people to buy?  Your usual utilities, more for groceries, cable?  Much more discretionary spending methinks.  Geez Chatty Cathy this morning lol hah.  First 15 minutes of the ep was preempted because 45 was landing at the AF Academy for their grad ceremony. Congrats Grads!

Me too! Totally reversed my thoughts on her. Didnt really care for her but didnt really know her.  I dont dislike her anymore and am curious to know. And thats the objective right, to get people curious to know more about your objective, and sway some move conversion votes.  Anyway worked on me lol.  Not with my vote yet (altho our primary is Tues)  yikes i have some reading to do.  I really did like her idealistic ideas though, but my question is where is the money going to come from? They have to funded some how.  More taxes on us?  If so i reclaim my thoughts back to dislike for her and wont go any further.

She  was very upbeat and she did have all her plans for that heee. (She really did too) she had ideal plans that when all put into action it will blast us to futuristic New Earth(the next level)...one day we will get there....

Well, I think you need much more time than was allotted for EW on The View. At least we will see and hear more of her ideas and policies the closer we get to the 2020 election. I just wish she had more of a calm delivery.....she's quite animated!!!

It was interesting that Whoopie didn't really tell us what the premise of "The Prom" is.  She said it's about a bunch of celebrities who descend on a small town to meddle.  What the real premise is, is a girl asks her girlfriend to the prom and the school won't let them go, so the celebrities descend on the town to make the school change its mind.

Hey Whoopie, that three week hospital stay used up your insurance money for your lifetime, you can't get any more coverage honey, you are toast.  She is so stupid.....she will never understand how insurance works, but let me tell you if she had medicare like I do, she would be frigging dead. THESE RICH PEOPLE REALLY KILL ME.

How old is Whoopi?

I thought she was 65 and if so she would have Medicare. If not, it is coming her way but she still won't understand it! Or maybe she doesn't even know she has no choice.

Hey, @Richard and @TheView, look at the top quote in this post. @WonderWuman73's tickets are for the June 10th show. It will be the third show she's attended. You'd be a week early, if you tweeted to MM on 6/2.

Eliz Warren is fired up. It’s worth watching for her.

She was terrific today. She handled The Daughter with finesse, too. I suppose teaching at Harvard teaches one how to deal with the Don't-You-Know-Who-I-Am and  I'm-So-And-So's Daughter crowds.

2 hours ago, Haleth said:

Oh, thank goodness they ran out of time before Whoopi could ask a dumb question about insurance. No, Whoopi, they don’t keep your premiums in a vault for you to withdraw.

When I was watching, I was sure someone in the production said, "Oh hell no. We cannot let Whoopi ask her dumbass insurance question to a presidential candidate, particularly not a smart one."

I'm pretty sure Meghan was dissing Nicolle Wallace when she mentioned seeing someone ask Beto O'Rourke how the media could cover him better, and that she thought it was a ridiculous question.

Beto was on Nicolle's show in the last week or two, and I do think she asked him that.  I'm surprised Meghan watches it, quite frankly.  Only in her dreams could she anchor a show solo with the ease that Nicolle does.

Last week, Nicolle told Beto to play media critic and tell the press where they could provide better coverage of all the candidates. He said to stop focusing on the horserace and cover the substantive issues that he hears about from people at Town Halls, etc.

There was nothing wrong with the question. Meghan just hates Nicolle. Nicolle also told him if you don't like the subjects the press is covering, grab them to talk about the stuff you do think is important (she used the NBC reporter's name, Garrett, maybe).

I was going to say the same. You beat me to it. She seems a little manic and folks will be all over that.

That thing with the McCain ship was very pettyof the WH. Shocker.

Taxing the richest of the rich. That’s where the claims of socialism are coming from.  I was really surprised Meg didn’t get to filet EW with the socialism question instead of Sunny.

I thought the interview was okay. IMO the ladies of the view aren't the sharpest crayons, so we're never going to get a good interview. Of course they are hobbled by what they are allowed to ask.

Was it me, or did nearly every singer from The Prom cast sound flat or otherwise off-key today?

I think the musical looks sweet, but aside from being annoyed that we couldn't have one more short segment with Elizabeth Warren, I found the sound jarring.

I agree that they didn’t sound good, but, to be fair, I don’t think any of the musicians they have on sound good.

When EW was talking about Mueller and saying what Mueller was saying and what was in the report, NutMeg nodded in agreement.  But wasn't it just last week when she said there was nothing in the report?

After all that, Meghan STILL wanted to talk about how she is "alienating Fox News watchers."

When MM or her husband are peeved about something, she harps on it over and over and over again throughout the show, regardless of the topic of discussion.  I wish Whoopi, Joy or Sunny would say, daily,  "you've said that already!" or "you're repeating yourself again!"

During her Twitter kerfuffle, someone must have reminded MM that the ship was not commissioned and named for her father, but for her grandfather & great-grandfather with Daddy as an add-on ~25 years later.  So hubby must have copied it down on blue cards for MM to read.

I wasted way too much time this evening looking back at posts about the show around Thanksgiving. I remember for sure the panel talked about The Prom cast performing before the parade and the controversy about the kiss.  What I don't remember is if anyone (coughsunnycough) agreed that it was inappropriate without a parental warning.  Couldn't find it but one show that week had a huge blow up between Joy and Meg.

Her Facebook posts indicate that they're on a belated honeymoon.  She doesn't have to show up tomorrow because they'll be airing the David Letterman appearance that was preempted on Wed.

Wondering how David Letterman will be.  Remember Joy not liking him and not keeping it a secret.

Thanks, falltime!  Thanks for finding the clip (and yeah, I remembered that it was Sunny who was squicked out) and thanks for quoting me which allowed me to see and fix the big glaring grammatical error in my post. 🙂  I hope Sunny explained why a girl was kissing another girl to her son before she took him to see the play.

I have seen EW being interviewed on other shows, and I think she was not given enough time to fully answer questions and explain her ideas. That's why she seemed rushed IMHO. Why didn't they give her more time, instead of highlighting "The Prom"??? She was interesting, and I was hoping to hear more. Wonder if they will invite her back??

I can't believe we didn't get to hear the ladies talk about the biggest new story because McCain needed to talk about her daddy some more. She is grade A pathetic.

I blame this one on the producers.

Meghan can sit there like a little kid saying "we must talk about my dad's ship first, we must.... we must" and they do exactly what she wants.

They all just cater to her!!

MM gets to ask the same question twice so that contributed to shortened time, because EW fucking explained it already once, MM, you moron!

And mumbly Lamar Odom got 3 segments? ?????

I have seen EW on other talk shows and she speaks quickly, I think because she is aware of the brief segments most guests get AND her plans are so smart but take explaining to be understood how they will actually work--and work  well IMHO. I believe Elizabeth Warren is an amazingly intelligent, caring candidate and we would be lucky to get her elected. But I doubt it,  because of misogyny. And Russian interference again.  And the Electoral College.

HaHa to Whoopi for not getting her  insurance question asked. Great Jeebus on a Cracker, will someone explain this fucking system to her!?

And what exactly was she going to ask?  If she was going to ask about the ACA and how we can make that better or ask about single payer then OK fine.  But if she was going to ask about why after her paying into it for all these years and blah blah blah then I'm glad she got cut off.  I have not doubt Whoopi has the best health insurance money can buy. And even if her insurance didn't cover every dime of her hospital stay it's not like Whoopi would be going bankrupt to pay the co pays.

To be fair, they ALL repeat themselves. The show is a train wreck. I only watch for the fireworks and to hear the ridiculous things that come out of their mouths.

She was on CNN just the other day, but yeah, I was hoping we'd see more of her, too.

Now on to today's show: I really hate when they show a clip - in this case, it was Nancy Pelosi on Jimmy Kimmel's show explaining her position on impeachment - and Whoopi tries to explain it afterwards with her word vomit. We hear exactly what she's saying and don't need your (sloppy) interpretation of it, Whoopi.

I'm also glad that, after Meghan noted how many Dems in the House support impeachment, Joy quickly added, "so far." It's a very important point.

Ugh. Your Father came quickly during Letterman's segment. Shocker!

Well, Megs again had to try to turn the spotlight on herself when she said to the talent producer who is leaving "You were my first friend here! You really were!!" And BTW, STFU Meghan. Ugh.

Haha,  thought the same.

I thought well at least this woman can leave a job she's had for 18 years knowing she was Meghan's first friend on the show.  Good thing she stuck around for 18 years, to finally be there when the princess of Arizona needed a friend.  Job well done. Congratulations happy trails.

I didnt plan on tuning in today, I'm sorry I did.

Here's the thing (not trying to sound like Whoopi) if a conservative woman who's job involves talking about her conservative beliefs is a talk show guest then of course those beliefs are going to be brought up.  As Meghan repeatedly reminds us it's her job her talk about politics. What is a talk show host supposed to talk about with Meghan?

I think she just expects her ass to be kissed because of her father.  I assume she also expects to talk about that father and how mean Trump is to her dead father. If on Wwhl with Andy Cohen, the Housewives.  She just doesn't expect to be challenged on her political views. 🙄
