I think she was brought on with the explicit expectation that she spill hot gossip about Charlie. However, I do think she talks about him because he's a still active chaos engine in her life. Remember Denise did have custody of his sons with Brooke Mueller for a time. Then there was his admissions that he was HIV positive and had blown a lot of his fortune. The man is a disaster and it spills out to everyone around him.

Speaking of Charlie's twin sons with Brooke Mueller, I wonder how those boys are doing now. I remember Denise gave them back to Charlie because she said the boys were violent with their daughters and her pets. At least Sami and Lola got a stable parent with Denise. But those poor twins didn't get a stable mother OR father.

It's like a candidate being handed the debate questions before going into a political debate. Actually, it's more than that- it's like a political candidate writing the debate questions before the debate. Of course that candidate is going to do a good job if they get to frame the question and practice the answer.

I see where you are coming from. However, that's a very different situation. A polygraph is based on physiological indicators, so it's unlikely the wording of questions would significantly alter a response. When people do react, it's likely the subject itself is what upsets them, for instance, being questioned about a robbery may elicit a stress response just because the subject is brought up, period. The flaws with the polygraph lie in the fact there is no way to know whether the subject is stressed because he fears he is under suspicion, or because he actually participated.

The questions Lisa had asked of her were very specific to what she was accused of. One would think that if she wanted to ensure she was not stressed by the test she would have made the questions more generic and less specific. But her goal was to address the actual things she was accused of, and that's exactly what the questions reflected.

Does LVP not know the sordid history of the lie detector test on reality TV?  From Dr. Phil to Jerry Springer to Meet My Parents, there aren't many ways to more quickly signal "What you are watching is trashy bullshit" than a lie detector test.

Well said and if I wanted to watch soaps, I’d tune into Eileen on whatever it is she’s in. ..every damn day.  Like all my children.

At least we had some house and location porn via Camille. Actually, all of the big island is porn watch worthy ❤️. I loved seeing the island.

I’m an LVP fan and that lie detector script was beyond believable.

As it goes, I was born at night and it wasn’t last night. So, I’m gonna tuck these bitches in and wish them a happy life. Karma, you know.

Absolutely not! That holds a firm place in my memory and I hope it always will. And Kyle, like Jessie, would totally follow it with: “I’m so, so scared!” Because god knows Kyle is scared about EVERYTHING- killers on a walking trail, Boy George being attacked by people in the audience, etc., etc., etc....

Whoa! I didn’t remember she was in Saved by the Bell. Your husband sounds like a damn impressive guy, Callaphera.

Dang. My husband likes to call himself "Mr. Hollywood" when we discuss who's who in Hollywood or in contemporary music, pretending to be a know-it-all. It's a self-deprecating move because he must have asked me 10 times over as many years who Adele is.

I'm just lucky to have IMDB to prop up my failing memory.

Dorit wore a scrunchy to the wedding! Has she never seen Sex and the City?

Camille’s daughter did not look happy to be involved in her mom's wedding. I wish we had seen a little more of her. I love Camille’s mom and hope her travel to Hawaii didn’t take too much out of her.

In fairness to scrunchies (not Dorit- never Dorit), scrunchies are having a major revival. Even Vogue is chronicling the best designer scrunchies to purchase. I’m sure Dorit’s had some horrible designer logo on it that we couldn’t see.

Well, as I said, those who already believe LVP are still going to believe her. But this test didn't do anything to convince those who don't.

I was shocked and disappointed when I saw what Camille chose for bridesmaids dresses, they looked so fuddy duddy and out of place in Hawaii, did she get them from David's Bridals?  Not that there is anything wrong with David's, it just that with the hoity toity well to do I would have expected a little more designer/fashion forward or different and less of...David's.

I loved Rinna's swim suit she wore when paddle boarding...I need that suit!

Mauricio looked a little out of shape, I am not throwing shade it is just in the past he has been in really good shape...(I love my Mr. Betty and if he was in Mauricio's current shape I would be thrilled but such as life with real husbands, lol.

Not that there is anything wrong with a Marriott but I would have expected the Four Seasons.  I guess Bravo got a deal with Marriott but who among us does not expect glitz and glamour from this show?

OK, but to help out the totally clueless, what's the deal with Sex in the City and scrunchies? 🤔

They did an episode that basically made fun of women wearing them burger writes a story where his lead character wears one and Carrie says it’s not believable that she would wear one.

The whole lie detector thing was messy and contrived, obviously by production.  I MIGHT have bought that it was Lisa's idea if they hadn't had Kyle introduce the subject in Hawaii.

But they did, and now I know it is contrived for drama.  Gee, I wonder what else production might contrive for drama.

And guess what, Bravo, I don't need the drama or even for the women to interact with each other.  It's a bonus when it happens organically and is interesting, but otherwise, just follow them around living their crazy opulent lives.  That's enough for me.  Show me private planes, glam squads, landscaping, shopping, trips.....  And when  you have a 300K kitchen renovation, please know that it's enough to just have the kitchen renovation.  You don't have to make Lisa say some contrived nonsense about renovating her kitchen because of Kyle energy so that you tie her back to the other ladies.  She can stand on her own.  Many of them can stand on their own.  If they can't, don't make them a RHOBH.

After the Game of Thrones let down this week, I really needed some redeeming TV, but I didn't get it last night.

Well, the women spent the first half of the season jabbering on about Puppygate, I guess they can spend the next half debating the merits of lie detector tests.

I may be alone, but this season has been boring beyond belief.   It's clear that LVP's refusal to film with them knocked the wind out of what was planned (having her show up for filming only to be picked apart by the rest of them), so that crap that normally wouldn't make the editing cut is being fed to us.

(Why else would we have had 2 segments on Erica Jane in concert last week, and 2 segments of Boy George the week before?) This weeks snoozefest just reinforced that.

Not saying this season isnt really boring and got bogged down by the whole puppygate thing but they have always cut away to boy george or Erika doing concerts since they both have been on this show this is nothing new

I started to change the channel, but my curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to see how Kyle learned about LVP's lie detector test.  And that turned out to be so obviously fake - her daughter's friend whose construction workers had to take a lie detector test, just happened to have the test taken on the same day as LVP and saw her.  Yeah right.

It's understandable if production needs to goose some footage to make the show more entertaining, but they've been at this Housewives game for over a decade.  Production's fingerprints shouldn't be so blatant; they should be able to finesse these things much better.  The lie detector test was just all-around stupid.  It isn't going to change anyone's mind for the better.  It actually makes LVP look worse.

I literally forgot about Erika until 2 hours after I watched the show--and I saw the previews with her in it!  She clearly is not needed at all.  It is curious to me that no B-team followed her to get footage of her shows (or that any was used that someone on her team shot on a cell phone).  However, they did follow Denise up to Connecticut to get her "acting", which at least gave us the benefit of (1) a good Charlie Sheen hooker story and (2) Barbara Eden.

My big takeaway from this episode:  this show would be far more fun if Mauricio got everyone else as high as he was at the dinner.  The whole lot of them would be more entertaining if they were mellow, loopy, and giggly rather than manic and/or manic & drunk.

A true polygraph takes time to administer.  This took five minutes?

Editing probably whittled it down to 5 minutes.

A voiceless Rinna made the episode more bearable.  I end up FF through a lot of it these days.  These women aren't very enjoyable to watch.

And is it possible for Lisa to go anywhere without some poor dog being carried around like an overstuffed purse?

I loved Camille's home, and the wedding location, but basically feel that Camille is pretty empty inside as a person.

I do like LVP, but using the dog as an accessory has always bugged me.  With the exception of service dogs, taking them into restaurants is rude too.

You summed up Camille perfectly!  She seems so fake when she's talking to someone and is trying to empathize with them.  There's something about the tone of her voice that comes across as so disingenuous in those moments.

What’s with the cheesy Christmas movie that are use was shooting?  The decorations in that bedroom were hilarious.

Denise was also Ross and Monica’s cousin who Ross tried to make out with. Not sure where that fall into in Charlie years.

And Camille, yes the “house is all yours” but Kelsey indirectly paid for it. Don’t kid yourself.

Rinna expounding on her marriage to Harry Hamlin, really, do they spend any time doing things together?

I believe they do but I think Harry's participation is more related to his feelings about reality TV more than anything else.  IIRC, he didn't want Rinna doing it at first.

The stuff with Teddi and her business....I don't know. Edwin was awfully dismissive of her concerns and the obvious distress the kids are in.  I don't think the answer, based on how we've seen her kids acting, is as simple as, "If you're happy, they'll be happy".    I would hope they would have some help with the transition for the kids.

Does Teddi have daycare or a nanny?  All the flashbacks showed, to me, was that there's a reason companies with employees who work from home make those employees demonstrate there is child care during work hours.  Kids want attention and that makes working from home tricky.  But it's not necessarily that kids are struggling.

I have something to say that has been bugging me, a bit.

Everyone here is tired of Puppygate and the fall-out.  Me too!

That said, every week all I read from commenters is, I'm so bored.  This is boring.  Borrrring.  I'd love to know ... why you watchin?

What exactly are you expecting?  These are Beverly Hills women doing Beverly Hills things.  Living in ornate homes.  Shopping.  Having lunch.  Having dinners.  Having game nights.  Gossiping.  Doing some charity work.  Seeing them out and about for this or that function.  Trips overseas.  Doing everyday stuff (you know, "reality").  And I repeat, gossiping.  LOL.

However, what more are you expecting?  What are they not doing that you all want them to be doing?  I genuinely don't understand the expectations of viewers for these Housewife shows.

Denise is in a movie (not sure if it is straight to video or what) staring Dally and Spanky, I love them, it a mini horse that a Jack Russell rides, they are adorable, they perform all around the country at horse expos and such.  I kind of want to see her in it just to watch them!

Speaking only for myself, I'm bored with this show but I'm still watching because I'm afraid as soon as I quit watching something really good will happen and I'll have missed it.

In the 90's my favorite soap had gotten boring and I stopped watching.  Well don't you know that shortly after I stopped watching they did two excellent (for a soap) storylines that are still iconic in the soap genre.

I admit that the RH shows are rerun to death and are available on demand so I would always be able to watch an episode that I had missed, but I'm still kind of affected by missing those old soap storylines and I just can't stop watching.

The NY housewives seem to only do the same basic things--lunch, charities, shopping, dinner--but somehow they make it interesting.  Here's to hoping this show will get interesting again.

I guess if you say you support LGBTQ  it's ok to use it as a slam against someone who is not.

The lie detector scene was designed IMO to give LVP's fans some cover - it certainly wasn't convincing to anyone who doubted Lisa previously.

Good! She should get heat.

She will only apologize if her West Hollywood restaurant receipts are down this week.

True. Her biggest claim to fame was being married to Charlie Sheen. But I still feel like she hasn't fully dealt with how their marriage ended. I guess I can somewhat understand that since they do share two daughters together. She probably wished she had been able to make it work.

I'll always be remember her for her role in "Wild Things." Terrible movie, bur that threesome scene between her, Neve Campbell, and Matt Dillion was sexy.

Denise should cool it with all the sex talk.  We’ve all been there and know how it works.  I’m sure her husband doesn’t appreciate her big mouth about their escapades on t.v. and will let her know it.  Talk about something meaningful, if you know how.

It's probably because their dynamics are so stale at this point. Other than the big Michael Darby storyline on Potomac, not a ton happens but those ladies genuinely are hilarious with one another so it makes seemingly boring things interesting because of the chemistry. The same can go with RHONY because their dynamic is at least still interesting and feels somewhat true to life.

RHOBH just is more about alliances than actual friendships.
