TKAA Officially Cancelled

I don't want to set us up for another disappointment, but there's current talk on social media that there's still a chance for a second season somewhere.  Hoping for the best...but prepared for disappointment.

The cast was released from their contracts at the beginning of July so it seem very very unlikely.

Watching season premieres this week is making me miss this show all over again.

I read the Bless this Mess premiere had lower ratings than TKAA averaged last season.

Only one person has commented on the Bless this Mess premiere on the Primetimer forum.   It doesn't even have fan support here.

I miss this show so much that I binge watched the entire season the other day.

The shows aren’t similar and Schooled isn’t nearly as good but Tim Doyle has taken over as showrunner for that series this season.

It's not much of a consolation prize, but Bless This Mess continues to bleed huge viewer numbers for ABC after The Connors.

Missing this show even more with the disappointing new Fall network lineup in the 30 minute category.

What a huge mistake to cancel this show!  I miss it.  Thankfully, I bought the first season.  Each episode is a little brilliant gem.  The actors were amazingly talented which is saying a lot since most were very young.  So sad and I'd love to know the reasoning behind the decision.

I really miss it; it was ABC’s best comedy in years. I imagine the cancellation was a combination of the new ABC management not being invested in it (lots of stories over the years of new management not supporting programming developed by the previous regime), borderline ratings, and budget. Period pieces are generally more expensive, and the large cast probably didn’t help.
