Time for me to be a total grump: 

i wish they could just start the show with everyone already seated to minimize the all too lengthy and totally annoying screams and cheers from the audience. The same goes with guests. Just return from commercial with them already seated at the table. Too much wasted time! 

why is Abby still here? I thought they’d have the baby shower as a send-off when she’d go on maternity leave. 

And I still hate the female announcer at the start of each show. Her “wild and wacky ladies of the view” tone is irritating.

I am nearly in tears of rage over this. In what world does one speak like this? People should know, and most do, never to speak that way. And especially to an older person, to a co-worker, and / or to someone who has been on the job 10 times longer than you.

If Meghan is allowed to get away with this, she's going to push the envelope farther and farther and get more and more obnoxious.

If I were Joy, I'd literally force the issue if TPTB don't do something to discipline the blond harpy. I would literally say, her or me.

In the new book on The View, Joy said that she enjoyed her time off when she was fired, sitting on the beach with her husband. I would hate for Meghan to be the one to make her go back there.

Joy was somewhat hopeful about Fräulein Nielsen's replacement.

It's also not what happened, because Meghan didn't smack anyone down. She acted like a 7th grader who got offended because she couldn't understand what the teacher was talking about.

Whoopi then put Meghan in her place (a little too diplomatically for my taste, but she's old, sick, and tired of McCant's shit, I'm sure). 

I did enjoy Joy's face right after Meghan once again revealed how incapable she is of doing this job.

I saw the entire segment. In my opinion the panel was pre-emptively shitting on her point, including Joy. It’s not this simple thing of everybody playing nice and waiting their turn to speak. I think Meghan was frustrated having to once again be the buzzkill to the Fuck Trump party. When she started speaking, I didn’t hear her put down anybody’s point, she just read her notes and said it was a big issue to people she knows, and then Joy had to offer a retort.

To me, they know Meghan is the token Republican on the panel, like Elisabeth Hasselbeck was. I don’t begrudge anyone their opinion on either side, but the dynamic is manifestly going to be 3-4 against 1. At the very least show some respect for Meghan’s opinion given she’s always going to be outnumbered. JMO.

In this clip, Meghan starts talking around the 3:33 mark. She continues straight thru, until 4:53 (give or take). That's about a minute and 20 seconds. At about 4:36, Joy said, "Well," and Meghan asked to say one more thing. Joy immediately hushed up. Meghan finished.

Joy wasn't shitting on her point at all, and after listening to Meghan for 1:20, nothing was preemptive, because Meghan had already made her point.

What's interesting to me is that at about the 4:00 mark, Meghan flat out said, "How to deal with it (i.e. the 'crisis at the border') is where the conversation goes one way or another."

Joy was trying to do just that -- take part in the conversation. The show is The View, with five regular co-hosts (including the moderator position). It is not The Monologue with Meghan McCain. 

Joy wasn't even saying anything against Meghan's main points which were that (a) there is a crisis (she cited border apprehension stats, but I haven't verified them), and (b) that economy and immigration were Trump's two "meat and potato" issues.

Joy wasn't disputing there are problems at the border. She acknowledged that very thing. Her point was that the acting DHS is reportedly someone who thinks it would help to preempt refugees from coming here, by reducing the conditions in their native lands which have prompted them to seek refuge here.

As far as I can tell from watching daily,  Meghan is the only co-host who regularly fails to be respectful of her colleagues.

Also, Abby is another conservative. Ana is too. Meghan is not the only one. There are plenty of days when Joy and Sunny are the only liberals at the table, and issue depending, Sunny can skew conservative.

I don't agree Joy dismissed Meghan's point. 

Joy validated that there's an immigration problem to be solved in her first comment to McCain (" Like I just said, this guy coming in wants to help those countries, that's the way to solve the problem, keep them there, happy") and John McCain's Daughter refused to let Joy finish making her point. Instead, Meghan needled Joy cunstantly throughout: "Give a Nicaraguan a house?" (to be fair, it's an amazing point, since we've got all these lovely cages on hand) and "We've had a bunch of  liberal guests who don't want to send aid!" -- at which point Joy said "Hold on, I listened to you, let me just finish" -- and then Meghan tossed her ratty hair and shit the bed.

When I posted the screencap earlier of Joy's face at that moment, that's what I was thinking too. I've seen that look on my mother's face, but not too often, because I'm a smart girl who learned not to earn that look from my mother.

I can't believe how disrespectful MM was to Joy 😥

Joy was trying to say something, she let MM finish when MM said, "I'm not finished."  MM rambled on for another minute or so.  Joy was trying to share what she has heard about the new acting DHS.  MM interrupted with, "We give Nicarauguans (sp?) free houses?"   Then Joy says, "I listened to you."  She was not disagreeing with MM that there is a problem, she was saying one way to help with the problem according to the new DHS.   MM gave a "giggle" and said, "It's your job to listen to me."  The audience gasped!  

I was taught to respect people older than me,: if I disagreed with them, I should do so respectfully.  MM was not disagreeing with Joy, she was blatantly (to me) being rude and just plain mean.  And this is not new - MM has consistently been rude, disrespectful, loud, and mean to Joy for some time now.

MM has been this way with the other panelists but even more so with Joy.  The only one she doesn't do this to consistently to is Whoopi.  She has also been given more time to talk, interrupt, mutter under her breath - she has not faced any consequences for this type of  behavior. 

And may I add - she is rude to the audience too!   Oh, my goodness - What an entitled person she is!

Does anyone wonder or even care about what Meghan will do next, IF and WHEN she is removed or not renewed on The View?  

I cannot imagine that any other network would want to hire her, as in her current employment situation she is so unprofessional and rude to her co-workers.  The audience backlash is overwhelming - even those who normally agree with her are basically calling her out on her latest bout of pubic nastiness.

Any network hiring her for any news show would have to be concerned about losing viewers and ratings.

Meghan should be careful and learn a lesson - she is loudly discrediting herself and self-sabotaging any future she may have in television.  (Not that I'd be too upset about never seeing her on TV again!)

I wish Joy had more support from the producers and co-workers. She does NOT deserve anyone bullying her, much less someone less than half her age, less than half her brains. I'm a pretty nice gal, but Joy is a lot nicer than me. The woman is a saint for not ripping her a new one. We all know she's far more intelligent and witty than Meghan and could easily put her in her place. 

I hope both Joy and Meghan know about 99% of the viewers are completely put off by Meghan's behavior and are disgusted Joy has to put up with it time after time. Yes, a panel of people discussing politics may get heated on occasion. There is zero reason for the hostility constantly directed specifically to Joy, the OG of the damn show. Unacceptable. 

To me, most of these women bring something to the table. I do hold a special place in my heart for Joy. She is auntie in my head. She is intelligent, funny, and all-around lovable person. Whoopi Goldberg is an icon. No one can take that away from her. Sunny is also very bright, accomplished, and good person. I don't watch the show for Abby, but she does seem like a nice person as well. I do also enjoy watching Ana and wish we could have her full time instead of Meghan.

MM has a nasty attitude and needs to stop thinking she's special because of her father and the military service in her family. Those are NOT her own accomplishments. I don't go around bragging about all the things people I'm related to have done every day. 

There are times she can seem like a nice, normal person, then she always reverts back to brat mode. I typically hate to see someone lose a job, but she has it coming. And we all know she doesn't need the money. 

I too wonder what her mother thinks watching her on the show. 

I'm not usually one of those people who says they'll stop watching if their fave leaves, but if Joy were to leave the show, I'd be done too. Maybe it's because I've experienced bullying in the work place and have a soft spot for Joy. But I am that much a fan of hers and that put off by Meghan's constant attacks.

Joy is a strong woman, but she is human. In all honesty, I'd have probably teared up, being constantly attacked on national television and not one single person DIRECTLY reprimanding the bully aka John McCain's daughter. 

I know Meghan is a Bravo fan, and she totally belongs on a show where there is supposed to be drama. She needs to be on a reality show or Fox news. Not the View, where they are supposed to respectfully share their various views.

First off....all that bullshit about respecting your elders? .... What a lying heffer! I let out such a  moan when I heard it... I felt her pain. Difference was, her neck didn't turn red Or keep her from further participating in the discussions with a scowl. 

And a big F you to Whoopi. She showed exactly the reason why Nutmeg made that nasty remark about missing Her when she's not around.  But I'm more angrier at Whoopi is because she didn't directly reprimand Nutmeg nor looked at her when she was giving that lame ass time out speech. I would bet my life that Megan wouldve directed that comment to Whoopi instead of Joy, she would've gone off on her ....like she has in the past. 

I'll keep repeating this...when I was at the live show last November, Whoopi shut down MM once before and when they went to commercial...they both were angry as all hell..yelling, pointing fingers and MM ran off in tears. They were trying their best to get her back onstage.  She kept refusing and repeated a lot of things just like Hasselbeck said backstage when her mic was open.  But she did this infront of the whole  audience. She was fuming at Whoopi for the rest of the hour.  

I have a theory....it looks like Megan threatened to quit that day unless the producers could promised her Whoopi would never shame or embarrass her like that again.  That is why she softened her comment to her.  It's the reason why Megan has increased Her venom And disrespect. ...the producers caved and gave her what she wanted. Hence, she thinks she can do and say whatEver the hell she wants now.

Part of me would like to see Meghan apologize for her behaviour today - but she hasn’t before and it would only be because she was ordered to. If she did Joy would be gracious and accept  it — which would suck because it will only happen again and again.

Meghan literally got another co-host hired to agree with her and repeat whatever she wanted them to say (Abby). And regularly there is a third Republican on the panel (Ana). Meghan McCain is not outnumbered and she is not a minority or a victim.

The only way ABC is going to pay attention is to hit them in the pockets. Handle them like many have handled some of the folks on Fox. Write to the advertisers.
