I think it's clear that the others are either jealous/intimated by Chrishell (since she clearly runs in more elite circles) or they recognized that Chrishell will likely get more air time.  So picking a fight with her will give them more air time.

As for Davina, I think there is a reason that she was casted as a secondary character.  While she brings a lot of drama, she doesn't have much of a personality on screen (or at least her personality isn't translating well).  Christine is clearly the more entertaining villain out of the two.

While I agree with everyone that Chrishell shouldn't have criticized Davina about missing the charity event, I did lol at Davina's excuse that she was at Burning Man.  I thought Burning Man had become too mainstream and no one cool goes there anymore.  Then again, maybe that's why Davina was there lol?

It looks like the agency has several more employees (including other male realtors).  And of course, all of them look like former models.  Maybe we'll get see some more of them on a future season?

I follow Heather on IG and she’s been shooting a lot of stories with Christine (and occasionally Davina). Christine and Davina are laughing and smiling throughout. Heather was a pretty well-liked, well regarded, nice cast member, so I wonder if Christine and Davina are trying to cozy up to her on social media to try and improve their reputations? In any event, if there is a second season of this show, I’m sure it will feature several segments of Christine and Davina talking about how “abused” they were growing up, which somehow justifies their horrible behavior now. (Maybe not Davina. She’s so dull, cold, and lifeless that I can’t imagine a talking head of her in which she Isn’t shit stirring).

Christine has already moaned about how she was picked growing up because (forgive me if I'm not remembering correctly) she was blonde and tall. Blerg.

Any word on a Season 2? I follow Heather on IG and she seems pretty chummy with Christine and D-what’s-her-name (I still wonder if they’re using her popularity to try and improve their images as they came off so unlikeable in S1). I don’t see Chrishell anywhere, which makes me wonder if she’s just there for this show and not really into real estate. I want another season just for more real estate porn.

Just binge watched the first 3 episodes.  Was interested because I happened to see online that Heather is now practically engaged to Tarek El Moussa from Flip or Flop.  He just bought her a white Ferrari for her birthday.  Now, she’s traded in her hockey boy and is in luurve with Tarek!  She seems like a real bimbo.  I doubt she or any of the other blonde airheads can actually write up a real estate contract to protect their clients.  The only one who appears to have a brain is the pregnant foreign girl ... with the husband in Florida ... Maya?   I’m sure these other girls are like hostesses who merely do the showings and the two guys who own the place do all the contracts and negotiations.  I used to sell RE in the same areas where these girls work and it was the same 25 years ago with backstabbing and even stealing names off open house sign in sheets to poach clients!  Nothing new here, except the prices.  All the major players back then also had pretty assistants and associates that held RE licenses (it’s a pretty easy test) who showed the properties and then brought in their bosses to close the deals.  Not just women.  Lots of hot gay male assistants too!  The clients were hitting on everyone!  It was how a lot of young agents got their start in high end real estate.  I know ... because I was  one of them.   Unless you were someone’s kid or girlfriend, it was the only way to break into that market!

Interesting perspective. Thanks for sharing. These boards often make fun of the agents on these shows, but at the end of the day I guess I naively thought they still had to do the job. RE has lots of pretty agents everywhere you go, but I assumed they still needed to possess the skills to do all the contracts, etc. I guess not. What a shame. People have too much money if they’re willing to buy their house based on a pretty person smiling at them.

Oooh, great dirt @ChattyCathy! Somehow not surprising though. Actually trying to work for a living in that particular city and industry sounds like a nightmare! Especially if you don't look like an off-duty glamour model!

Hoping for a Season 2, just for the sheer ridiculousness, and to lookyloo more homes.

Real estate is a great option for those who maybe don’t have the education for other high-paying occupations but I’ll be interested to see how the industry evolves over the next decade. These agents always promote how great they are, but their salaries are commission-based and I think tech companies are going to come in and really disrupt commissions. My agent was great, knew the area, worked her butt off, helped me tremendously for a $300k house, but I don’t think she would have had to work 10X harder to find me a $3M house. Sites like Trulia started the trend, estimating housing value and providing easy access to MLS data to the consumer (when looking for a house most of my friends and I are doing the research to find the house and then contacting the agent to show it). We’ll see if OpenDoor continues the trend. Agents don’t negotiate like they show on these shows. I think, if given the option, more people would choose to cut out the agents altogether or else use flat-rate services. We’ll see and we’ll see how agents like the ones on this show adjust to finding out they aren’t Masters of the Universe like they think

I just finished watching the entire season, I am not impressed by these people at all.

it's crazy that these women would show up to meet a client as if they are going clubbing. Please tell me this is just for the show. Not all of their clientele are single dudes on the make (not counting creepy guy that Maya had to deal with). Can please someone tell them that you can be classy and sexy at the same time? Maya pulls it off and for the most part Chrishell does to. Christine is the worst offender. If she showed up to meet me at a house, I would turn and find another realtor.

Yes! why are they dressed like that? You really can't complain about men hitting on you if you're going to dress like you're on the prowl for a honey. Who wears 6 inch platform shoes to work, except for strippers?

I don't know how they can hire just women who all look like that without getting hit with some kind of discrimination lawsuit. Hasn't an unattractive woman ever applied for a job there? Hasn't a man ever applied for a job there?

That reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where someone accused a restaurant owner only hiring one type of woman and it turns out they're all family. LOL

How do Hooters and Twin Peaks and all those breasturants do it? Those seem like more clear cut examples. I imagine it’s hard to prove discrimination in a small company like that with so few employees. Unless the owners are dumb enough to tell women that’s why they’re being hired, have it written down, or constantly make comments about how they need to look a certain way to sell houses. But, honestly, it’s LA. Most of the real estate reality shows out there look like this.

As bad as this show got in the last episode, now that people are commenting again I wish there was a season 2 right now. Lol. I could use another escapist show of beautiful houses to drool over while stuck in quarantine.

Agreed! I could use something trashy and fun to watch right now. I was shocked at how addictive this silly (and staged) show was!

On ep three. A bit of same ol' same ol' but Christine is engaged (he must be very patient) and Mary is still engaged to Romain. Maya's baby boy is adorbs. Scripted to the hilt. There's also a new person to the show, Amanza. Are all houses in LA glass boxes with no personality? Er, and most of them are still dressed for clubbing and not selling homes.

I’m on episode 2 or 3. I can’t even tell because the episodes feel long AF. I think Heather is hella insecure about her relationship. I occasionally see her and Tarek’s posts on Instagram because I follow his ex-wife Christina and I thought they were moving fast even before Amanza showed up on our screens. Next fight please, this is silly.

Somehow Christine is worse now. I guess getting engaged to a rich guy now makes her feel even more superior. And she’s taking on that tacky LA-personality trait of trying to casually drop how much money she has (her fiancé has) as some kind of funny joke (that’s not at all funny)

On episode 3. I would probably avoid Christine in real life, but her snarky living Barbie doll vibe just brings me so much joy on tv! More pink outfits!
The whole show is like live-action Barbie dream house for me.

Wow, just finished episode 4. Did someone forget to tell Romaine that he was on a shitty scripted reality show?

Romaine was in his glory, he acted like how a normal person would. He completely say thru Davina and her bullshit and checked her for her behavior.

Also love that Chrishell is not backing down when it comes to Christine. She is keeping her at a distance.

As much as some of us found Romaine dull or lifeless last season, he has instantly become my favorite cast member.

Meh Romain kind of annoys me still. Seems like he’s super sensitive about it all because Mary prob does fund his life.

I mean Davina is a jerk still lol.

Davina needs to get off this show. I get that she’s trying to change her image from last season (seems like she’s forcing a smile all the time now) but she’s just not a fit for tv. She doesn’t come off warm or likable.

Not sure what Heather did this season, either. She was probably one of the fan faves after S1, but this season she chose to team up with the mean girl clique? You’d think these women would avoid Christine and Davina. Pick Maya, she’ll always be likable.

Heather talking about the kids being a lot of work when they aren’t her kids and they have a nanny makes me laugh. She’s such an idiot lol.

Also Amanza was right meeting his kids after like a month dating is too soon.

Good grief. Why wear the dress if you can't manage to sit down? Why wear the shoes if you can't walk down a flight of stairs?

Some of the outfits this season are absolutely ridiculous.

I have friends in real estate and they are not small time people. They'd never dress like these folks. I'd never do business with Christine or Divina. I guess it is good that Christine found a sugar daddy. I'm also questioning the wisdom of the Oppenheim twins. They are doing themselves no favors. I see Napoleon complexes with both. They are douchey with the agents. There's no way they all work with desks on an open floor like a nail salon. They are dealing with sensitive information with clients. Sorry, Oppenheim, you are doing yourself no favors. Painfully scripted. If I needed to buy a home in LA, why would I use them? And they sell glass boxes.

When I turned this on, Netflix played season 2 first and I didn’t realize. So after it finished it went to season 1. Well, I was surprised as everyone looked more normal in season 1 and so much less overdone and plastic.

The one dating Tarek looks so much like Christina, I guess he has a type.

This show is more about the yards of the houses then the houses. Many of the homes had yards that were more impressive than the inside. Lots of the houses seemed to have regular size bedrooms and kitchens. There were some awesome pools though.

Just watched episode 1 of Season 2.

Holy moly that Hillside property is utterly douchetastic. $44 million and it looks like either a 2.5 tremor on the Richter scale, or a heavy rainfall would send it sliding right off its perch and onto the Sunset Strip.

I don't like the glass/concrete boxy houses they typically feature on show, but the one they were doing a walkthrough in with Amanza was quite nice. So far, she seems like she's alright.

Oh man, I had totally forgotten about Mary and her pouty French himbo boyfriend (fiance?).

I had also completely forgotten about the little twin bald freaks who run the agency.

I was very surprised that the season opened with Chrishell still married. I wonder if her storyline will feature the messy divorce from her cheating husband.

Maya's baby is very cute. Davina is... there.

Good luck to Christine's husband-to-be.

I watched all of season 2.  Pretty devastated that I'm going to have to wait until August for Season 3, considering it's all already filmed now anyway.

Christine looked bald in season 2 because she kept pulling her hair back SO.  TIGHT.  I kept saying who is the bald woman?

The absolute worst thing about Season 2 is Amanda.  (or is her name Amanza?  I'm not kidding?). She has NO KNOWLEDGE about real estate and showed up late to her own showing!  I'm so freaking jealous of this person.  Why would the producers think that we would want to watch such a mediocre person get such an amazing opportunity?   Does she even have a license?  Are you allowed to simply sell real estate if the two little brothers think you're hot?

Ah, too bad - I hadn't gotten far enough into Season 2 - she seemed alright first episode.

In answer to your final question - yes. In fact, that's probably the sole qualification to work in their "agency".

The whole thing made me really upset.

I had hoped this would be a fun distraction in the time of Covid, and it still kind of is, but just the sheer decadence and wanton wastefulness of the lifestyle they're pushing is kind of upsetting me. Because you know someone who is dropping 44 million on a house might not necessarily doing something kosher for a living, but it's presented as something aspirational. I know it's amped up for TV, and not representative of the totality of LA, but good God there are some ridiculous people there.

I think this show might be actually turning me into a Bolshevik or something.

Just watched episode 2.

The lovely Doheny drive home that Mary was selected to list for was a palate cleanser. It was a gorgeous older home that the owners had done a thoughtful restoration on. These are the kinds of homes I enjoy getting a peek into - and it was nice that the owner expressed hope that they'd find a buyer who cared about the house. It clearly wasn't flip and dump job. Mary said it was her dream home - didn't she have a dream home in Season 1? I think I really liked that one too. Guess we have similar taste in homes. It was a refreshing change from the usual stuff featured.

I guess Amanza is getting the awkward newbie edit. I don't think I care for her design style.

Oh Davina.

I actually really like Amanza!!! She has an actual personality. The fact that she uses that instead of making up drama for screen time is a win in my book.

I also like that she has an actual history with Mary and the twins (less so with them). She wasn't just brought in as a random person. She also has a personal story that isn't about her next offer.

The fashion this season is so ridiculously over the top. A lot of these "outfits" make the women look like complete fools. Christine is the worse. If she ever showed up as my realtor in 95% of her clothing choices I would immediately have gotten rid of her.

I'm no prude but what Christine wore to the Los Feliz showing was down right trashy!!! What were those 8 inch heels? Was she also wearing lingerie under that incredibly tight black jacket that barely covered her ass. I refuse to believe it was a slip considering it was longer than the jacket.

The owners always talk about finding the right buyer who cares about the house. Funny enough, that’s usually the person willing to spend the most money for it. I get loving the house you lived in but really, if you’re selling then you’re leaving and it’s none of your business what the new owner does with it. Like that one guy in The Valley who definitely spent too much money restoring his house and now won’t price it accordingly. Houses are just assets. When selling it really boils down to price per square foot compared to homes in the neighborhood. That’s it. That’s the big secret. You can make your home appealing by upgrading the inside, but unless you’re adding bedrooms or bathrooms nobody is paying extra money for the marble floors you put in or the gold plated faucets.

And you’re right, Mary sold another house in S1 that was her “Dream House”. But that one was only 5-6M and this one was $10M. Lol. I liked both but actually thought the one from S1 was better/more charming.

I didn’t think it was possible, but somehow there was even less real estate this season than last. It takes most real estate reality shows to get through 3-4 seasons before giving up on the pretense of real estate and focus on the “drama”. So, kudos to them?🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I’m done. Fun to look at, but I dislike the drama. It’s so stereotypical that large groups of women must have constant catfights (when really it’s the one or two shitstirrers who need to be ejected) and gives me a headache.

I agree, outside of the decreasing real estate each episode was pretty much the same.

I wish they would of featured more of the "conflict" of real estate. Mary vs Jason over the listing. Davina vs Brett over that outrageously priced mansion she wanted to represent. Those were far more interesting than the 80th catfight.

Agree. I realize it’s scripted, but Jason came off really unprofessional when he was showing his client Mary’s listing when he KNEW she was showing it. And he seemed so disinterested and low energy and awkward while showing it. Why would a new client sign with his group if this is how the Company is represented? Unless they just want to hit on their model agent or try to get on this show, too. There are other agents in LA (even on TV) who seem much more professional who don’t talk crap about their own clients and aren’t known to choose personal stuff over work.

Two episodes in and already some of the scripted nature is starting to getting to me.  Mainly, Davina and the Beverly Hills "compound" (don't think most billionaire-type compounds are just on an acre of land but I get that it's Beverly Hills).  I was shocked that when she met with the homeowner, she literally just repeated her boss's words back to him.  The homeowner doesn't care if his overpriced listing is a bad look for the brokerage, he just wants to turn a profit on it.  Even I could have worded the concerns from whichever twin that was better than Davina (and I'm nowhere near a high end real estate who supposedly negotiates for a living).

In a side note regarding the $44 million listing, while obviously the views were beautiful and the interiors were very high end, I thought the roof top was kinda lackluster.  For that price tag, I would have expected a few more amenities up there (not just a couch, table and some grass).
