Kody is not blocked from moving to Utah. Why won't anyone in the family point out the largest population of plygs live in Utah and they aren't all in jail. Not even the horrifying, incestuous and wife/child abusing Kingstons. Utah isn't going to put Kody in jail just for flapping his gums and tossing his hair.

He probably doesn't have to give her a turn.  Janelle heard POND,  and was giddy with glee about the prospect of fishing in a drainage ditch.  Never mind that the Dept. of Environment may have a different view about the Brown's plans to line with plastic and toss some fingerling trout in their water feature.

Pond was also the magic word that caused Janelle to re-think her initial mama bear mode regarding Gabe.

In the preview for this episode Gabe says to Janelle "Do as the slave driver says" in reference to the move.  It doesn't sound like he has a good relationship with Kody lol.

Seems to me that the sons Kootie has with Janelle, have had their issues with his (Kootie's) autocratic behavior (not including Logan.)  Hunter, Garrison and Gabriel don't seem to have much respect for him.

I think Logan has issues with his dad he just hasn't expressed publicly, or maybe even out loud. He has chosen a vastly different lifestyle from his father's, and while he may have respect for his dad, I think that says something.

Tonight’s talking head, he says a bunch of weird stuff.

Let’s check out to Flagstaff, “this might be fun”

Kody wants to leave Las Vegas because he wants to find “the place”.

The energy of Flagstaff is “safe”, “for my wives” (who like Las Vegas and don’t want to move )

Watch his facial expression and eyes while he says “Vegas is an exciting town. I’ve loved living here on many levels.”  

Then he says, “I want to feel safe again”.

Safe from what? (balloon mortgages?)

This is a weird show, but I’m the weirdo watching it.

Going to the gym first and then wine, help with the viewing.

I think it's unfair that they are uprooting all the kids because of one child.  If the situations between Gabriel and Dayton were reverse, I guarantee you they would not be moving. Robyn would throw a fit.  I have a feeling that as soon as he can, Gabe is going to take off.  Just like his older brothers.

If all the viewers saw the connection, not certain how anyone else can miss it.   If they were moving due to finances, which is a valid comment, then they would have crossed out Flagstaff once they found out it was more expensive.  Does anyone even know if Flagstaff has a strong Wrestling team?  Jeopardizing scholarship money is a big deal.... we had a friend who slept in his car his senior year, showered at the school and worked a part time job due to wrestling scholarship (home life was crap) and then went on to full ride college scholarship.  So why would Jinelle not allow him to finish out 2 years with his sister and brother-in-law?

Do any of them have a job other than selling LuLa  Roe and the TLC gig?  So Mary has 2 mortgages one for her home and one for her B&B and now thinking about a 3rd. one.  TLC must be paying tons of money to these jokers.

This made me furious.  Janelle meets with her kids and tells them about the move.  Maddie is (at the time) living in Vegas.  So is Garrison because he's got a job and a life there.  Meanwhile, Gabe has to sit there and listen to his mother proclaim that she wants a shot at raising him (whatever, Janelle) - and he also sees that his brother and sister will be staying behind.  Then Janelle mopes about Axel and how she won't be able to see him whenever she wants, but the drive between Flagstaff and Vegas is "only four hours."  So why can't Gabe stay behind with his sister and see his mother on her many, many visits to Vegas?  These stupid, moronic adults uproot their kids, causing drastic emotional upheaval.  The kids then manage to flourish despite their parents' best efforts - and THEN they uproot them yet again because they can't figure out how to pay their mortgages.  As much as I loathe Robyn and Meri, I think Janelle has won the top spot for Wife I Hate the Most.  She is spineless.  She's taking a drainage ditch full of pretend fish over her son's future.  If I'm Gabe, I'd be like - I'd better see you out there fishing every damn day that we're in Flagstaff, mom.

It's obvious that this move is orchestrated by Robyn and Kody. She was the one talking about "safe" in previous episodes and now he is too (when before it was financial.). They are moving for Dayton. And maybe Robyn's girls were not popular or maybe they were exposed to too much "real life" and Robyn was uncomfortable with that.

The part that makes me angry is that everyone keeps saying they are moving for "trees." BS. Be up front with the viewers and say "we are moving for Robyn and her kids...."

When Janelle is talking with Gabe about he move she keeps telling him how great it will be because he can enjoy outdoor activities like camping. Okay camping vs. wrestling scholarship, friends, um no.  I felt for this kid when his mother was trying to sell this to him.

And seriously? Its not like there are no outdoor activities to enjoy in the Las Vegas area. Jenelle is full of shit and I feel terrible for Gabe. He's popular and has a lot of friends, maybe he could stay with a friend's family? I took in  several of my son's friends at various times. Most of them were a little older but one was a junior in high school whose home life was pretty chaotic at one point, she lived with us for almost a year until things settled down and she could move back home.

Everything Gabe says about the move is 100% spot on. He sees his mother and father for the losers they really are.  I love that kid!

I loathe Kody. He is egotistical, and manipulative. He condescendingly speaks down to his family, and pitches a hissy fit if he’s made fun of. He’ll sit there and pout like an overgrown child. He denies affection towards his wives and uses it to control them.  I felt bad for Meri who was desperately  trying to get some attention from him on the Flagstaff trip. It would  be far better for her to completely split from the group then continue being treated as a friend of the family. There is no love there anymore. She is on the outside looking in.

The  kids we’re completely disregarded (again) with this asinine move. Rewatching the pain in the children’s faces when they were told they were moving from Utah in a few days to Las Vegas was horrible. They didn’t even have to move. It was all on the whim of Kody. This move to Flagstaff is Utah all over again but without the urgency. 

Janelle  is spineless. She is the most apathetic participant in the family. She is my least favourite wife.  Christine is the loopy, over enthusiastic cheerleader who laps up any scrap of affection from Kody.  Meri, and her eyebrows  has been set out to luluroe pasture where fashion goes to die. Meanwhile, Robyn is behind the scenes pulling the strings. She holds the most power at the moment. However, that could change when Kody takes on another wife. It will happen. It is clear he is fickle. If he wasn’t hiding behind his “love must be multiplied” lifestyle he’d be a serial cheater, or at very least, a man who gets married and divorced several times because he gets bored, or the wife is no longer agreeable to his ‘vision.’

I just don't think the Browns have any idea how important major high school accomplishments are.  Did any of them go to college? But then on the other side... no kid is going to be super excited about moving... if Gabe was 'pretty much friends with the entire school" as he put it, then he should have no problem transitioning.

Hopefully it will work out well for all of the kids.  I'm not sure Gabe will be able to get the scholarships that he might have obtained back in Vegas, but I guess time will tell.

Other than the possible balloon payments on the houses that people have been speaking of, there was no reason to move.  Supposing finances WERE the reason behind moving - there are LITERALLY HUNDREDS of small towns all over the western half of the U.S. that the Brown family could have moved to that would have helped them out financially - only - they pick FLAGSTAFF!!??    So with that, their big reason for moving flew right out the door.   They didn't take little road trips ANYWHERE else or you can be sure that they would have mentioned it in their couch potato sessions.  

Then we have Dayton announce his fantastic "news" that he was accepted at NAU.  Oh golly gee whiz...:::giggle:::: what an amazing coinkidink!!   That's where the entire family is moving!!  And so nicely $$$$$$, too!!

Running away from the mortgages and debts isn't particularly admirable and putting the entire lot of kids into upheaval for one child also is pretty questionable.  

I think Kody the Plyg Prick decided they needed to pretend it was for some altruistic reason, for the benefit of all of them, damn what the children thought, and created this fuck-and-awe story line we currently see unfolding.  

I agree with posters who say it's all about what Robyn wants.  I honestly think her wants and needs are the only things with which Kody is concerned.  They needed to get out from under those mortgages and Robyn wanted to move to Arizona for her kid, so that's what happened.

Yeah - whole think is a crock.   I think Kody and Robyn said something to the tune of "We have to stay together for TLC and we need the income, so you ARE moving to Flagstaff".   If I am honest it probably didn't happen that way ... but let's face it - Janelle is SOOO not high up on the totem pole.  She is not going to go off and support herself, she "needs the man", and ROBYN needs to move.  End of story for Janelle.

What was up with Aurora telling Meri that she cried when she saw trees in Flagstaff?  I mean, I get that LV isn't located in a forest but crying over trees?  I think Robyn is the one who cried over how pretty the trees were, Kody started stroking her hair and whispering sweet nothings or some such nonsense, so Aurora decided to follow her mother's lead and cry too.  Something is off with that girl...it's kind of sad to see.

I have a feeling that the Kodester dotes on Sol so much because the writing is on the wall with his other sons - Logan, Garrison, Gabe, Hunter, and Paedon have all openly told the viewers that they don't think terribly highly of their "dad."  So Kody's sons are forging ahead with pretty impressive lives (waiting to get married, going to college , joining the military) while his grown daughters are marrying the first guy that looks their way.  Way to go, Kodoof.  You can take no credit for your sons' successes and your daughters are grabbing at the first glance of male attention in their lives.  Good luck with Sol and Arabellialola.  Jerk.

OMG....I was joking the other week when I posted about Meri wanting to get tossed a bone, but, hey......I think something must have gone on in that hotel room.  Hmm......Meri was way too chipper, imo. It was sort of sad though.  All that begging for affection.  I was embarrassed for Meri.  She practically begged to hold on to Kody's arm as they walked on the property.  And, Kody would have none of it.  He didn't really seem to mind keeping her at a distance. I mean, he's civil to her, but, IDK.....Something happened to lift her mood.  I don't think she got him drunk.  lol

This seems to be the season that people are letting down their guard. Kody is really showing his contempt for his wives.  He just seems very annoyed with them.  Like this really is too much trouble for him.  I've defended him in the past, but, he really is offensive.  He was right about falling down the stupid tree.  He makes no sense.  I think he may have damaged some relationships in ways that will last for many years.  AND,

I now agree about this idea that Dayton's college being right there in Flagstaff is a little too convenient.  If the family really agreed that Dayton's education there and the ENTIRE family moving there was more important that the other kids' high school experiences, they should have just said so. This charade is preposterous.  Gabe makes more sense than Kody, his mom and the other sister wives all together. I hope things have settled down and worked out, because if not, I hope ALL those adults feel like a piece .................
