I know this has nothing to do with the show, but my husband and I use the word “mayhaps” all the time (I’m pretty sure maybe and perhaps no longer exist in our active vocabulary).   I’m sure we heard it it read it somewhere at some point, but we’ve been using it for so long, I thought we made it up.  I’m delighted to see we aren’t the only ones.

Nope. Dates from the 1500s. We probably read it in our high school English class while studying Shakespeare. I think it's actually mayhap without the s ....

I tried, guys.  I really did.  I am a HUGE Alaska aficionado, but even my love for Alaska couldn't get me through this episode.  I turned it off when Pissney was about to get into the hot tub, because I had read here what was going to happen.  I'm done.  Done.

I'm deleting it from my DVR player, and removing this thread from my home page.  I love YOU . . . but I'm just DONE.

@Barbara Please, great screen shots! Thanks for sharing them.

What is the name of the blog someone mentioned earlier? I can't find it now, where they talk about Whit peeing in the hot tub.

I think they were talking about the My Big Fat Fabulous Life page on Facebook. Lots of people talking on there about it. Most people saying how disgusting she is, but a few die hards calling them haters. Damn, some of her fans are as delusional as she is.

I'm enjoying the photo of Twit charging ahead down the path, glistening with sweat, arms a-pumpin', one shoulder of her top falling off her shoulder (not for fashion's sake either) and the guys just strolling along looking cool and relaxed. The contrast between the two says it all.

I hate how she plows on way ahead of everyone else, she's such a moron.  I was really hoping she would trip over one of those roots that were sticking up from the ground.

What better way to show your ailing mother how much you wuv her than bullying her into taking an aerial tramway ride over a 2500 foot drop, after she reminds you (as if you didn't know?) that she's afraid of heights and asks to be excused?

Yet another Whitney excuse for her behavior in Hawaii -  she was traumatized and therefor in the "wrong mental state" because her father pulled an evil switcheroo and instead of walking 3 miles, she was forced, FORCED to walk almost 5 miles. (I guess she didn't hear her father suggest she could still just walk the 5K, even if the official race was an 8K. He did say that several times both before and during the "race." I suppose Whitney couldn't hear him over her screeching, panting, howling, wailing and yelling.)

What is the point of any of this? If Whitney doesn't want to do her made-up event, no one is holding her cats hostage or her brother, are they? (Wait, how come Hunter got to avoid the"redemption" trip? Maybe he is being held hostage!)  I think the whole idiotic crew, parents included, should have informed her that they would only participate in this fake "redemption" if Whitney agreed to lose 5 lbs for every time she (1) shrieked, (2) complained, (3) brayed, (4) claimed an injury or a pain of any kind, or (5) stopped moving continuously forward or took a break of longer than five minutes.  If (should be "when" I think) Whitney becomes committed to losing over 250 lbs. the "event" ends.

The barnacles get to choose who is the one to officially keep track of Whitney's behavior. That person gets the trip paid for by Whitney herself, not the production company or Daddy.  I'd vote for Kerrin Feehan, Jiya or Jenzie, myself. Jessica would be OK if she's as fed up with Whitney as she seems, or the guy from the climbing company who "escorted" Whitney on the hike to Hanging Rock.

This is exactly what I was talking about. You're surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery possible. Most people would slow down to really enjoy, but not Sweatney. No, this is all about her "proving" what "great" shape she's in. So she'll go trotting on ahead, exhaust herself and make it a miserable experience.

So Chealsy and Boo Bear are left at home to take care of the cats. Chealsy ran back to Illinois just as fast as her little legs could run. Boo Bear manages to find a flight from Greensboro to Anchorage at a moments notice.

Whos left to take care of the cats?  Who is giving Henchi his daily pill for his level 3 heart murmur?  Who’s cleaning their litter box?  Oh, never mind about that last question. That box never gets cleaned even when Twit is at home.

Oh the nonstop screeching!  I’m surprised one of the home owners nearby haven’t shot her. Most of them own guns is all I’m saying.

Shes the worst.

This is why this episode made me more angry than perhaps any to this point, except maybe the fake pregnancy/miscarriage thing. I would love to go to Alaska. It is the absolute top of my wish list. My youngest was blessed to be able to go with my parents when she was 12 and she still nearly glows when she talks about the nature, the animals, the scenery etc. I’m only slightly ticked that they didn’t take me too LOL.

But this piece of narcisstic garbage gets to go, all expenses paid, with her friends and her family but she can’t stop and enjoy one minute of it. She can’t let anyone else enjoy it. She’s just a waste of a very large space. I despise her. I am never turning on another episode again. I haven’t quite reached AZChristian’s degree. I can’t let this forum go yet. But I’m never watching it again. I had stopped for the most part but wanted to see Alaska. Now I’m done.

At the beginning of the ep, when she was describing the Whitathon, she said she'd been "training" for six weeks.  How come we didn't get to see any of this training?

Did that include the talk with her trainer about prepping for the Whitathon in last week's episode - a week and a half before leaving for Alaska?

8 minutes ago, Mothra said:

When she first approached the hot tub, she asked if she should bring her body wash, and there were lots of "ooh, no!"s and she said "I can't fit in my tub."  So she is bathless for the trip?  And I assume showerless too, since she wanted to wash in in the hot tub.

HOT TUBS ARE NOT FOR BATHING! Jesus on a pogo stick... how stupid is this woman? The hot tub is for soaking. The woman was in Korea where they have public baths that I'm sure she must have gone to at least once during her stay. And a jjimjilbang is very much like an onsen - you bathe before you get in the water that you're sharing with everyone else. The bath is for relaxing and socializing. If her fat ass doesn't fit in her bathtub, then take a goddamn shower like a normal human being.

Just when I couldn't get more disgusted with this... creature...

11 minutes ago, Mothra said:

Is this normal?  Knowing this, wouldn't she use the toilet to empty her bladder before going into the hot tub?  Is this a medical condition she ought to ask her doctor about?

Warm water can relax your muscles and release your bladder - which is why most people go to the bathroom before getting into the tub. But Whitney isn't like most people. To call her hygienically challenged would be a drastic understatement.

As badly as I want to go to Alaska, I would want to be Hunter - left behind for some peace and quiet. Hopefully Henchie and the other kitties get some real affection while Whitney is gone instead of her borderline beastiality molestation.

The screaming and such just makes me want to punch her. She has scared all the wildlife out of Alasker . I secretly hoped while she is pumping her flabby arms with all her might that some tree root would topple her over. So now we know she pee's and showers in the same spot, that is lovely. Heather is a complainer, hates her life - she is an exhausting friend.  I personally think Twit talking with Boo Bear and crying was tears of joy that he was dumped by his girlfriend.

This is my takeaway from this episode.  "The one where she peed in the hot tub."
If you know it happens, why not go to the bathroom first.
I think everyone should have expressed disgust, and refused to get in.  I know I would have.

God - I don’t know why I torture myself and watch this insufferable witch every week? I think I’ve reached my threshold as well. And her enablers just seem more and more pathetic. When Tal referred to the “Whit-a-thon” (barf) as a once in a lifetime experience I had a Liz Lemon “Oh Brother” moment. She’s 35+ years old and makes up a “fitness event” (which includes rappelling- like what the actual fuck?) to stress out about and her dopey parents just indulge her in her fantasies. I get more and more embarrassed for the lot of them every week. They really are a group of losers...all of them.

I woulda run her into a tree on that ATV ride. She screams at EVERYTHING and I absolutely hate this about her. Nothing would be enjoyable with her braying, bellowing, shrieking, gaping maw constantly open and making noise. What the FUCK is wrong with her (oh wait, we have a topic for that).

Bears of Alaska, it's safe to come out now. It's gone.

Then, another 5 miles home? Did they really do 15 miles round trip? Whitney notwithstanding, most people wouldn't do that unless they were relatively fit already. Of this group, that might be Todd, and MAYBE Tal. Definitely not the parents or Boo Bear or Eeyore, to say nothing of Whitney herself.

So here is my WAG, they did Lower Winner Creek which is less than 3 miles one way if you turn around at The Hand tram so if you do that round trip that ~5 miles. From some point along the Alyeska Highway the Winner creek trailhead is ~2.5 miles, so again 5 miles round trip. They repelled somewhere around the hand tram at The Gorge (another guess). Here is a description of Lower Winner creek Trail, http://www.alaska.org/detail/winner-creek-trail  . I have walked that trail often and it is not challenging at all. All this is a guess from local knowledge and her description. They also may have use the shuttle for some of the returns, who knows.

Oh we just knew that Whitney and Buddy would orbit back to each other - blech!

The place where they stayed probably charged an extra $5k for hot tub damages after Whitney used it as her personal bidet.

I do not understand the not fitting in the bathtub thing.  All you have to do is stand in the tub.  Sure you can sit but it's not like the water doesn't turn on if you're standing.  I'm honestly baffled by this and I think maybe she just doesn't know how tubs work?

They do that in UK as well if your name ends in an "a" they will add an er instead LOL

What is wrong with Whitney, mentally? Why is she running down that trail? She acts like a damn fool.

She seems to think that sheer momentum will get her through the challenge. It hasn't gotten through her greasy head that a slower, steadier pace will give her the best chance of succeeding so she's rushing in the hope that she get get it done before her legs/feet/whatever gives out on her.

You make a good point, viz., that she could fill the tub with water & sponge herself off that way while standing.

But it's probably true that she can't sit in a standard-sized tub. I know I couldn't when I weighed 380 #s. Also, it's very difficult to climb into a tub at that weight.

I'm baffled, tho, by seeing her in her home's tub. That indicates she still can clamber over the tub's edge. And, like all tubs I've ever seen, she has a shower at home. I'm sure the lodge tub had a shower attachment.  So, Twit, take a damn shower instead of a bath.

I thought it was pretty amusing. The peeing in the hot tub was insufferable, but, I chose to believe that she lied about that for the scene and that she didn't REALLY pee in the hot tube.  IMO, it was for the cameras  and I doubt the others would have gotten in IF she really did.  I'm sure it happens all the time in real life with people, but, just the thought of it.  It might not be harmful, but, just the thought.  THIS is one of the reasons that I DO NOT do hot tubs.  Yuck....but, I have been called a germaphobe before. lol

I think Whit attacks a physical challenge like she does a big mound of food.  She devours it. Maybe, she's got some kind of irresistible impulse thing going on.  It's not healthy, imo.  I wouldn't feel bad leaving her behind.  Plus, I don't think it's good to wear ear buds in bear country.  lol  You might get a big old bite on the asp and not even hear its coming up behind you!

I would never have taken Heather as a church going, conservative.....really?  Didn't she say that  when she was sitting there being horrified by the stripper?  My question is, that was the best stripper they could come up with? Oh my......

Did she say something about her achy muscles? I thought she did and I thought what was it from? Sitting on the airplane (did she get multiple seats or was she in one? I just saw her sitting behind her friends on the plane.

Maybe the owner should have left her specific rules. I thought it was a known that you would not put soap in a hot tub. Kids prank people by doing this and then tubs at a minimum need to be drained, cleaned and refilled but it can be worse.

I think this whole Buddy thing seems like it was set up or parts were. It was very easy to have the dance tour end in the city she lived in? and why did she just leave her baby behind? and they break up just in time to get for Buddy to get to Alaska.

I feel bad for Whitney's parents. They did not need to come on this trip. The travel seemed hard on her mom. Whitney has cried about having to care for her mom who is still recovering from a stroke, but then asks her to come on a long air travel trip, to high elevations to watch her ride a bike? I guess the need Glen and Babs because the group is so dull, they had to bring that stripper in to liven things up because Alaska or SC all they do is sitting around and talk about Buddy.

I've only ever seen strippers in the movies, but I was under the impression that even the ones that come to your home to perform at a party dance to music of some kind. "Wolf" didn't even bring a boom box.  Or is this another example of doing the show on the cheap - music licensing for commercial purposes is expensive!

There are definitely people for whom getting in a standard tub is impossible or just dangerous if you're elderly.  But given we got that lovely pixellated shot of her in her tub at home, clearly she can still step over.  Between this and the "I cannot shower in the RV so therefore I just cannot shower" thing it's just a weird aversion to bathing.  Or if she really cannot shower without whatever assistance she has in her home shower, then make proper arrangements for when you travel or just don't go anywhere.

Plenty of disabled and mobility challenged people have to plan ahead and make sure they have proper bathing facilities when they stay somewhere.  It's not like this is a Whitney-only problem yet she's just completely unable or unwilling to realize not bathing yourself is disgusting and getting in a hot tub does not count.

And sitting in a hot tub in your own piss REALLY doesn't count. 🤮

That whole scene, whether real or fake, shows that at the very minimum, she's willing to be portrayed this way.

Hard to believe anyone would portray themselves as a disgusting pig who doesn't/can't bathe, and sits around in her own pee soup (and makes her "friends" join in) just to get attention. Most people don't want that kind of negative attention. But she's a total attention whore and any attention is better than none.

She's so mentally disturbed it's unreal.
