If Kristin is that terrible to room with, why didn’t they stick her in the single room?!? Oh, that’s right, because no one even acknowledges the existence of Scheana!

Well when you're insecure Scheana and all you want is to fit in and be accepted, having all the girls on the girls trip quickly buddy up and leave you as the one person without a roommate, no way Scheana sees the bright side of being able to room by herself and not have to deal with drunk fools all weekend long.

Remember when they all went to Montauk a couple of seasons ago for Stassi's birthday?  Sheana was bitching about - well, bitching about everything - including how she hates girls' trips.  So, why even go to one?  Dumbass.  Back then she was married and still really smug about it, but now that she's divorced, single and without any real friends, she's being extra pathetic.

Asshole is a compliment.

That interview scene was pathetic-and poor Peter, left sitting there with broken James, and fresh out of college Harry trying to soothe his brother. AT AN INTERVIEW.

What a DICK-Guillermo. And the arrogance to have this filmed, IDIOT.

Why keep talking about needing a DJ?  Why keep bringing it up??  WTF was the point of this?  It was like high-school-level passive-aggressive bullshit.  Grown man bitch.

I have hated Guillermo since that disgusting strip-tease BULLSHIT Lisa made Stassi and Katie do for their boss, Guillermo.  Of course it was his idea.  I wish they had refused.

I don't think Kristen is slovenly at all - she seems to have the most tidy apartment of all of them.  She seems to be a neat freak.  Maybe it is all of the adderall?

Yeah, didn't Stassi say that Kristen used to clean everything, including her mess when she was staying at Kristen's place?  Also, when she and Tom were living together, the apartment seemed clean, but when Tom was living there by himself, there was shit everywhere.

And what the fresh hell was with the eating of the fresh lavender street bush when it was really a mini agapanthus bush?

Oh, that was so not lavender. I have lavender growing at my house...several different varieties because I am in love with Provence. But that there? Was definitely not lavender.

To be fair it was edited weird. The purple flowers they zoomed in on was not what she ate.

I liked the engagement party venue. But maybe I'm cheap and tacky; I also dig the idea of getting loaded on a Mexican beach (especially today in North Jersey) and would not turn up my nose at any private jet, small or otherwise.

you're a blast!  come sit by me!!! I liked the venue, too.  I would love nothing more in this world than an Alice-in-Wonderland tea party and I make no apologies for that!

I know I'm a "conservative American" here, but man, did Guillermo need a t-shirt!  His man-nips were distracting me!

remember when Jacqueline stole Kristen's credit card for Botox?

I thought for sure Lala wasn't drinking b/c she was pregnant (lock that shit DOWN) but then she kept showing up in skimpy things.

Kristen, Kristen, Kristen...probably bummed about Carter, aggravated at Stassi for being aggravated at her...drinking your feelings is NEVER a good idea!

I would've been thrilled to get my own room...but I am a raging insomniac, Stassi would murder me in the middle of the night for keeping her up!!!

So the day before I'm crazy busy or riddled with anxiety because I'm not doing things I've been conditioned to do.  Either way, I'm in such a bad mood people know better than to talk to me the day before a trip (or they learn).  But I'm on time and get over it once I'm out the door.

I liked the engagement party venue just fine, but I am confused as to the necessity of this engagement party. I am approaching my 11th anniversary, so maybe times have changed, but we had a very casual engagement party at a dive bar thrown for us by friends. What they were planning seems more like a very nice rehearsal dinner. Is this elaborate engagement party a normal thing? Or just for tv?

I feel bad for Scheana. Even the girls who are her “friends” treat her like an afterthought.  I’d much rather room with her than Kristin.

I was aggravated at Stassi.  The fool should have realized we recently watched she and her mother acting out.

I don't like it when people are late (I'm a ten minutes early person) but it wasn't Stassi's issue to complain about.  The pilot is getting paid; he is going to be okay with the delay.  If LaLa were worried, the complaint should have come from her.  Some things are not that complicated.  They said it was a 2 hour drive to Solvang, so wait for them or take off.

Oh, and shut it Stassi.

Seeing the wretched mothers of so many of these cast members lately helps to explain how heinous they turned out. James has a whole host of issues but I'm actually impressed he turned out as well as he did being reared by that. As someone earlier said, watching the striking resemblance between Kristin and James' mother in their physical and emotional traits is so Freudian, so Oedipal, it's disturbing.

Do these types of pilots have other appointments in the same day? Perhaps he WOULDN'T be okay with the wait. Either way, Stassi still had to wait for the girls to pick her up because of Kristen. I would likely be annoyed as well. People need to start telling her things are an hour earlier than they really are. (Or just leave her home entirely.)

He may or may not have had additional flights booked. Not sure about his contract.  My husband was a pilot and I seem to remember crew rest being an issue but there are airport delays all of the time for a variety of reasons.  If they felt so strongly about Kristin being late they should have taken off--remember it is only a two hour drive away.  My larger point is that Stassi didn't have a dog in that fight so, shut up Stassi.  Go call your BF 200 times and then break your phone.

As re:  Guillermo:

No, I didn't think what he did to James was cool at all.

However.

Guillermo is a part owner in the business.  For all his faults, warts, and all, James has been a problem, but he brought in a lot of business with CU.  Those profits were then compromised, either a little or a lot, by James' behavior.  There's such a thing as keep your personal problems off the job that James hasn't learned yet.  There's also respect for everyone around him, not just the women, which James has yet to learn.  If he's 26, he's a very stunted 26.  Guillermo may be pissed off with James and didn't have an opportunity prior to this to go off on him.  I'm surprised, even though they're hiring his brother, that they let James on the property.  I'm sure, because they did, that this scene with Guillermo was in some way planned for the drama.  Sorry, but James had it coming and he better clean up his act if he ever wants to work anywhere again (his behavior at SUR was not a great look for anyone even remotely considering hiring him).

Now, as to James' mother, yeah, she doesn't have enough money left to buy a clue and it does inform as to how James is such a mess.  There are toxic people in everyone's life and some of them contributed to your birth and upbringing.  But that doesn't mean they're allowed to beat the emotional crap out of you on a daily basis, once you're grown.

Take care of the brothers.  Leave Mom out of it.  Go on with your life,, James.  And stay sober.  Your sublimated anger is brought to the surface when you drink.  So you can't drink.  Period.

Unless I missed a conversation this episode, I didn't think Stassi was trying to pawn off her issue with Kristen being late on the fact that a pilot had a schedule to follow. I think she was already weary of Kristen ahead of this trip because she  doesn't like traveling with her (hence why Katie got stuck as her roommate), and as soon as they're about to start their day, she finds out that Kristen is going to make them run behind schedule. I think Stassi's issue was that Stassi had to wait longer for her ride because of Kristen. It would have likely been a different story if Stassi got to pop champagne on the plane while someone else's time was wasted loitering around because Kristen was running behind schedule. Again, I may have missed a conversation - if Stassi was lecturing Kristen about her tardiness because it was going to disrupt the pilot's schedule, then yeah, I definitely agree with you, that would be something that Lala should be raising or no one at all.

And as for your grown son/s, they can get jobs, so don't give us a sob story about you needing money from James to support them. Fuck me, what a disgusting excuse for a human being!!! I have some exciting news to report! I was in Solvang on Wednesday for work and... the Ostrich farm is still there!

Also for such a tourist town there didn’t seem to be much open late at night. I’m glad Kristen started drinking early.

That "PJ" didn't look very luxurious. Not that I know jack shit about private jets but I've seen photos! Lol. And Solvang does not scream bouigois. But I've never been there.

Typically when people charter PJs to fly short distances for convenience they are small enough to just fit the number of people you have. The real luxury is that you drive right up, get on while they load your bags, and take off.  And then unload right into your car and drive away.

I am new to this show, so I have a question:  didn't I see James celebrating his brother's graduation a few weeks ago?  Can't he do better than a busboy at SUR? Or am I missing something/getting something wrong?

That makes sense. But I got the impression that Lala was implying the PJ was exclusively her bf's PJ. I'm probably wrong since I really don't pay much attention to what any of these dumbfucks are saying. 😁

His brother, while he seems nice enough, is probably as much of a raging fame whore as James and his delightful mother.

I think there are a couple of things sort of implied in the brother getting the busboy job. First, the show films from late May until the end of August. If his brother was taking the summer off before starting a real job or grad school, he'd actually have the free time. Second, they pay for cast is actually pretty good. The original cast gets at least $15K per episode. I'm sure the "friends" and "supplementary cast" get a lot less, but it's probably not nothing. I believe Peter is pulling in between $5K - $10K per episode. Additionally, doing the show for a little bit can be important in raising your social media profile. Ten thousand is considered the floor to be a social media influencer. Whether the brother wants to carry that forward into his real job, as a sideline gig, or go full out reality TV/social personality, it's probably not a terrible idea to be a "busboy" at SUR for a couple of months.

Ariana's oh so cute reference to Ariana Grande explains her style lately of oversized sweatshirts and knee high boots.

James' mother....don't know where to begin with that. Hey lady, since you don't appear to have a job, how about you be a mother and notice your son is a wreck. He has lost a job he cared about, he's drinking too much, crying all the time, under enormous pressure due to YOUR issues and dating a girl who is either dim or doesn't blink.

Guillermo can such a dick.

Me thinks that the real issue with LaLa's sudden sobriety is that she embarrassed Randall in front of some of how oh so important friends and not in an endearing Pretty Woman way. He decided she would no longer drink.

Aw, Scheana. I felt bad for her. Half of the fun of girls trips is that the roomies stay up late and gossip about the other girls on the trip. I hate girls trips and I'm glad that was over in college.

I have vacation and travel panic. I put on my sunglasses and quietly sob into my Diet Coke on the plane so as not to make everyone else miserable.

I see what you mean but frankly I find it kind of appalling.  It's nice for Peter that he started out as a bar manager and is now getting all this extra cash for the show, but I guess I think going to college was an awful waste of $$ that could have kept momma in drugs (or him in braces!) if all he wants to do is be a "social media influencer" or reality tv personality!

Just rewatched this episode.  The Guillermo scene was uncomfortable and embarrassing for James. (I don't know all the history, so he may very well deserve it, but in front of his brother at bro's job interview?). I felt so bad for James's brother -- you could see how awkward and uncomfortable he was.

But why was James there during his brother's interview, anyhow?

Okay, and Jax (who I detest and distrust,  esp when he rags on others for behavior he has also exhibited) -- the Catholic Church does not require counseling through an outside therapist.  Usually, the couple is required to meet with the priest, or attend a pre-Cana "class" (my parents led these for years), or go through a program led/with a married Catholic couple which includes some compatibility questionnaires, etc. (Friends from my church have facilitated these programs, which are one-one with engaged couple and married couple.).  Just to clarify.

However, I'm still glad he and Brittany ARE doing marriage counseling!

I’m totally at a loss. I’ve never been on a PJ but I *have* been to Solvang numerous times. It is 100% not bougie. It’s also about a 45-minute drive from Santa Barbara, which is (in many ways) bougie. AND there’s an airport there, too.

Great cherry danish, though!

Yeah, Solvang is someplace you take little kids. It’s a tourist road stop, not a luxury destination. Also, it’s only about a 2 hour drive north of LA. Once you factor in driving to airports and loading and unloading time, would a private jet even be quicker? Why not just hire a limo? Or go to Napa if you want to take a jet to wine tasting? Do they even have wine tasting Solvang? I guess so since everyplace in California does these days, but still... I, in no way, understand this trip.

Fun for normal people. Not the witches of WeHo. Getting piss drunk on a Mexican beach is more their style.

And what in the what were the witches wearing? Looked like Lala had on a satin bathrobe and sneakers walking the streets of the little Dutch wannabe village. Along with Ariana and her over the knee black boots and white pants. I can't even describe what the other fashionista's had on. Stass was the only one dressed semi-normally.

Carter has one foot out the door. Kristin is another example (just like James) that should not drink. Ever.

They 100% looked like they’d arrived for a porn convention. Surprisingly, Ariana might have been the worst. I hate her, but I think she generally looks nice. That all white outfit with the black boots though? Hard pass.

I don’t think he said it was by an outside therapist though. Just that the church required counseling for a year before marrying. I’m not Catholic, far from it and raised pagan, but knew this for years and thought it was common knowledge all those who wished to marry in the Catholic Church required counseling by clergy. And to be divorced there wa special “church” protocol for anyone to marry again in the church.

I don’t feel like he insinuated otherwise.

Yes. I realize that. When he mentioned off hand “I think in the Catholic Church people also did therapy....” he did not specify outside therapy. I took it as how he phrased it and how it is done not that he was implying the Catholic Church forced people to find a couples psychologist or do CBT or something lol.

I took it to mean Jax is stupid because that is only required if it’s a Catholic ceremony which they aren’t having. They are getting married in some ugly “castle” with Brittany’s nonCatholic homophobic pastor officiating.

Do you know where the “Kennedy” came from?

I think it was chosen because it sounds upper class and regal, like the former First Family.  Shana Hughes changed her name to Taylor Ford to make herself sound more 'expensive' and like she was maybe related to the car company.  She also named her daughter Kennedy.  Andrew Cunanan changed his surname to Da Silva to to lie about his background, ie. like he was related to a prominent art dealer.  I mean, you're allowed to change your name to whatever you want and reinventing yourself is hardly new in LA, but yes, it is more common among grifters.

On 2/13/2019 at 12:13 PM, SFoster21 said:

If that is so, how could Mom expect money from him?  He clearly has none.

if James is 26, how old are his brothers?  They all appear to be over 18,  so I don’t think child support is an issue.

She makes it sound like "the boys at home" are aged six, seven and eight.  If you raised them right, they wouldn't need you past the age of 18, but even if they do, it is YOUR responsibility as their mother to take care of them, NOT James'.
