You mentioned being a Cold Case fan, so you might be remembering Scotty sleeping with Lilly's similarly annoying sister.

Nice try SVU trying to do your version of the scene in the wire totally comprised of the work fuck with your crap scene. Leave it to the professionals

Amanda's dog.

Also Kelli's IRL.

I liked the older sister went off script when confronting Greg. We usually get people just following a Benson script. So she honestly thought the father was abusing her sister but did the sister know anything about Greg's plan? I missed some of it.

She (the older sister) didn't know anything about Greg's plan. She was the only one in that family, trying to be a responsible person . Trying to deal with the loss (or suicide) of their mother, a neglectful  alcoholic father, and a lot of high school activities can really frustrate a person. I can understand where the rage comes from, but Benson telling her she's not culpable for killing her father is stupid.  They needed to have a shrink come in and talk to the girls, not Benson.

I believe SVU borrowed from Criminal Intent, with this going off script. I seem to remember us discussing it before. The one with Hal Linden in it, I can't remember the other actors.

Frannie is Amanda's dog!  I wish they would trot her out, so to speak, and let us have a peek at the pooch.

Oh my... not a shocker to see the girls portrayed as victims.  Something that was a little unclear to me was if the younger daughter coaxed the older girl into killing the dad besides just telling her lies.  If she did, then she should have been held more accountable.  She is old enough to know right from wrong.

Loved Carisi and fin again, especially the back and forth between them when they realized the story wasn’t adding up.

Too much time spent on Rollins, baby daddy drama, and her labor. Wouldn’t be surprised if dr. Al sues for custody based on her history and amount of time she spends at the job rather than home.

Doesn't Dr. Al work full time too?

Benson has become too much of a victims advocate and it's interfering with her job performance.

I almost want to blame Benson for that attack in the diner. She knew what Brittany was capable of doing, and yet she let her continue "off script" and she was getting angrier and angrier. I am surprised Benson didn't quote herself to Fin (from Remember Me), where victims are entitled to get revenge.

I totally agree with you.  Benson has demonstrated a lack of ability to clearly see that just because you were victimized it does not mean that you do not have any culpability for your actions.  Huge transgression in telling these girls that they are not at fault for their actions; how does that play into their future decisions and actions? They missed getting psych evals on both girls, which showcases the lack of supporting cast this type of show needs.  Maybe if they had a psychiatrist's educated opinion overriding Benson's plan, the stabbing would not have happened.

I initially thought it was going to be a predictable episode, but there were enough plot twists to make it a decent episode. The 2 girls playing the sisters were really good.  I agree that they performed better than some of their more seasoned scene partners, who rely on whispering (?concerned about people overhearing ridiculous comments) and open-mouthed stares (?too Botoxed to do anything else) to convey their emotions .

She uttered the five dreaded words:  "this is not your fault"

Also noticed the diner stabbing was done with a butter knife.

All the baby bullshit was just bullshit.

Something tells me that Dr. Al's bank accounts are well-funded, so that if he wanted to significantly cut back on his hours or just retire he easily could.  Being that he is in his fifties, (if you go by his portrayer's age) he may not work the crazy hours that a resident or junior cardiologist work anymore, as many established physicians don't.  He needs free time for the hookers, you know.

She's living with Al after having moved her daughter Jesse in with her, right?  I guess Amanda will be apartment hunting now.  I noticed she was wearing the engagement ring.  I hope she gives it back and moves on.

I noticed she wasn't wearing the ring in the final scene.

Speaking of living with Dr. Al, what the heck was that place?  His apartment is just one huge room with a twin bed off to the side?  Or was that some top of the line, really weird hospital room?

Let's go to the video. So that's clearly a hospital bed and linens and a medical cart off to the side where Liv puts her giant gift basket. But we also see art, hardwood floors, an entrance way and nice furniture that is clearly not compatible with even the overly large nice hospital rooms we usually see on TV to accommodate crew, cameras, allow them to do the overhead shot, etc. So I think the conclusion is obvious - Dr. Al has been stealing hospital equipment as well as whoring it up, which is just another reason why even Rollins can recognize he's bad news eventually.

A lot of hospitals nowadays offer a more home-like environment to give birth in order to draw in more patients. Heck, u have 1 come in and end up billing for at least two. The rooms at the hospital that I work at are huge with laminate flooring, small kitchenette, small dining table, rocking chair, recliner, and love seat; all are private rooms . The furniture is vinyl for obvious reasons. They are about the size of 2 regular double occupancy medical patient rooms.

I too like that Frannie is always mentioned as part of Rollins’ family, she’s a cute dog. And one poster above says that Frannie is Giddish’s dog in real life - nice.

Did I hear Rollins say that the baby girl’s name is Billie? If so, another bad voice by Rollins. Sorry, I can’t get behind that name.

Do you suppose that these are Dr Al's lavishing attempts on Rollins, so that she might change her mind? I wonder if he might decide, he wants full custody because she still might turn him down? Then will have another court battle, like Benson had.

I'm guessing there's going to be a custody battle because they like personal drama for their 2 female leads.  I believe I read earlier in the TV season that Rollins was going to have a lot of personal drama, esp later in the season.

We have only one sweeps week coming up here, but I have a feeling this personal drama for Rollins maybe a cliff hanger for May. But then again, I would think that the end of the season episode would be more about Benson

in her VERY slight defense, she thought her father was raping her sister and found out the other guy was a pedophille and was mislead into killing her father who was Innocent  all in  a very short time period, that's bond to make most people unhinged

Yes, but someone mentioned earlier that it was totally outrageous, that both would only be treated with therapy. Brittany the older sister should have gotten something more severe.

I think that Laura was more responsible than Brittany, it was Laura’s lie that led Brittany to kill her father, Brittany had a strong EED defense (we really needed a psych expert in this episode, where was Dr Abernathy?), I agree that letting them both off with probation and therapy was a bit light (where would they go to live, foster care?) but I think Laura deserved more blame than Brittany as to what happened.

When a person has an EED, isn't there suppose to be signs of this before the outburst? Apparently she was well enough to get over her mother's suicide and successfully reacclimated herself to the school surroundings by getting involved in the school band. Yes, we definitely need Dr Abernathy's opinion here! If she had caught her father red-handed, then I could see her stabbing him to death. But since Laura only lied to her, I think Stone would be asking, "Why didn't you take your sister out of there and report him to the police".

The hospital I work at, has couches in each room that make a bed.  I think Dr Al probably paid for an upgrade fancier room.  We have those also available for an out of pocket fee.

I blame the younger sister for lying to her sister.  Anyone notice pedofile's girl friend texting while he was being arrested?

There don’t always have to be signs for an EED defense to work, they just need to show that the defendant lost control because of extreme stress, and anger may even have been simmering underneath for while, and between Laura saying that their father raped her and the stress of the mom’s suicide and the dad being an unattentive drunk, Brittany could easily have snapped. We definitely needed Dr Abernathy’s insight on this case.

I can't say I was really surprised at the turn of events for this episode. Part of me from the get go thought creepy neighbor dude was involved, though I initially had hoped he wasn't, just because he seemed so kind and gentle when we first saw him (before his creepy skeeviness became obvious).

It's like the female characters in this episode were deluded in infuriating ways. I sort of get why the younger daughter Laura acted like a lovesick moron, but that dude's girlfriend? Deluded AF. The entire time she was talking to Dominic and Fin, I just wanted to shake her and slap her out of her idiocy. I'd love to see more characters who are skeptical of the people in their life, particularly when confronted with evidence they are skeevy. I know I'd be suspicious if my boyfriend was seemingly attached to a couple of teenage girls, and wouldn't be hard to convince if the cops showed up asking pointed questions. And poor Britney who was basically snowed into killing her father, though maybe I missed why Britney just didn't go to the police, but rather chose to go the route of murder. Her not wanting to believe her sister had anything to do with it is understandable, but her defending creepy neighbor dude? At least she eventually turned and started talking. And Britney is really handy with a knife. Damn girl!!!

As for Amanda and her escort loving baby daddy, what has been the point of this story? I still think it was a huge mistake to write in Kelli's second pregnancy, and the fact that they were seemingly forced to make creepy prostitute doctor be the father, because they didn't have any other possibilities and didn't want to drop yet another boyfriend for her (though that would still have been preferable to what they chose to do). If forced to go this route, I think it would been more interesting to see her have an actual healthy, respectful relationship. But this show doesn't seem to want to go that route for any of those characters. Part of me thinks that creepy baby daddy is going to sue for custody down the road, now that his advances have been spurned. THAT would be a course this show would choose.

I never believe these plots tv writers are fond of where a teen kills beloved PARENTS because sex.

rhe Americans did it too and I didn’t buy that either.

flawed as he may have been without some more mitigating info he’s the guy who’s been driving them around, tucking them in, reading them stories...

haed for me to believe she’d kill the dad in such a premeditated way, stage a crime scene. Call 911.

as for the neighbor: color me confused. Are we to believe that he really did love the younger girl and wanted to marry her? When he said “this could be a good thing,” is that where he was going?

Yep, you heard right.  First a girl named Jesse (as in James) and another girl named Billie (as in The Kid?).  I see a trend here.

LOL!  I believe it.  The man can't be trusted.  I bet Frannie didn't like him, too.  Dogs know.

Dr. Al is definitely shady.  I wondered at the hospital calling him to let him know Rollins was there.  I mean, she didn't call him.  I don't think she wanted or felt she needed him there.  She wanted Carisi.  I sincerely doubt, at this point, that she had him listed as a next of kin, so why did the hospital call?

She definitely likes names that end with a "y" sound - Frannie, Jesse, Billie.  Either that or she's into Old West desperadoes, as CrystalBlue suggested.  Hee!

Seriously, I would like to know what the show has against giving Carisi story these days.  We get endless angst and personal drama for Benson and Rollins (and not even original drama - it's the same story rehashed over and over again), but Carisi can't even have an offscreen girlfriend?  Show, you do know some of watch only for Carisi, don't you?  Sheesh.

The older girl may have had anger issues stemming from the death of her mother and a now alcoholic and inattentive father that tipped her over the edge because, yes, the normal response should be to go to the police.

Yeah, it was a fairly thought out plan for a murder committed in the heat of the moment.  Probably Gary's influence and thinking, conveyed via the younger sister maybe after she got the older girl to kill Dad.  I don't think the older girl is a sociopath, though she definitely has issues that need therapy, but I do think the younger girl might be.  Her complete lack of remorse, for helping to orchestrate her dad's murder and what she did to her sister, is telling.

They would have to add another 30 to 60 minutes to each episode to make this happen. If it did happen, Benson and Rollins would be giving him advice or criticizing him even thought their lives are more screwed up then his.

IF??? Unless ratings are in the negatives, I don't see DW or NBC giving up on this series until MH decides to go. It might not be official, but you can count on at least one more season (if nothing else, so they can really promote it as "final season of SVU")

Remember when Rollins fell into a little gambling problem?  Lt. Declan Murphy was an undercover cop posing as an Irish guy and she was ready to get out of her little predicament with a blow job until (the luscious) Donal Logue stopped her!?!?!?!?!?!

Yeah, they definitely don't seem inclined to take time away from the Benson and Rollins drama, and now Stone.  But I don't need personal drama for Carisi.  Just have him front and center more in the case of the week, like he was so often in the Leight years.  You didn't need personal drama then to still know who he was as a person, how the job affected him.  Spread the wealth, Show!

We'll get to see some personal drama tomorrow night concerning the characters. I just wonder how much will be displayed by Carisi. Considering they have shown Carisi and Fin investigating more of each of the cases lately, I wonder if they will be giving them more dialogue in this next episode. I also wonder if we'll be hearing from Dr Abernathy or if Benson will be giving us (hear say evidence that the judge will conveniently allow) her diagnosis concerning the defendant's mental capacity. I think we need to take this over to the "Part 33" episode discussion?

I suspect it will be more Benson vs. Rollins, but hopefully not.  I am so over the Benson and Rollins Show.  I just hope the writing is good.  The writing on this show tends to be particularly clunky when they moralize at us.  At least it's not as bad as it was in the first couple seasons, so silver linings?

I hope we don't see Dr. Abernathy.  I find her boring, and who needs her when Dr. Benson is in the house?
