I’m team Rylee all the way, even with her interactions with Chandler, Ross, and Tyler. She does not put up with misogyny at all and all three have portrayed it at various levels. She knows her worth and is not afraid to be vocal about it. Chandler never saw her as competent because she’s a woman.  Ross manplains to her even when she says she heard him. Tyler acts all sweet and asks her to a date and then freezes her out. I’m guessing she’s dealt with egotistical male shit all through her career and it just sick and tired of it.

Adrian is a creepy guy masked in false zen. He’s your typical “nice guy” that acts all supportive but shows his true agenda with remarks like the meat thing.

Josiah and the blond guy (forget his name right now) seem like actual nice men.

Rhylee is out here spilling tea and I’m here for it.

Also, forgot this little gem from the episode:

Kate: If you brush all the way to back of your tongue you’ll have better breath and get better at blow jobs.

Josiah: (deadpan) Practice makes perfect.

Me: Dead

So what was all that bullshit with Ross sniveling about how much he loves his baby momma and how she's coming to NZ right after filming and blah blah blah fishcakes...? That he'd get with this ho-bag piece of shit cunty bitch (sorry but she IS and it needs to be said) over his baby momma says everything I need to know about Ross Inia, who can fuck off now. I don't need to see him again.

Well this was filmed almost a year ago. There isn’t any indication that they have been together since the charter. Maybe the ex wasn’t into him from what he said it seemed she kicked them to the curb the first time and might not have been on the same page as Ross.

Breezy - I almost always agree with you, but not on this.  Adrian’s comments full of sexual innuendo were gross and stupid and inappropriate.  He’s a grown man in the 21st century.  It’s not Laura’s responsibility to teach him how to behave around women.

Earlier in the season, he made a comment to Kate....something along the lines of liking her breasts.  I sent him a tweet asking him if he was serious with that shit in this #MeToo era.  He responded by “liking” my tweet.  I have no idea what that meant.

Ok.  I think if what he is saying is offensive to 'Laura', she has a responsibility to stop it by saying to him that it's not ok.  She is the one who was talking to others about his crude comments.  Say that to him.

BTW, I almost always agree with you too :).

I am allergic to shrimp but not lobster, crab, scallops, etc.  THANK GOD!

I would think he would have said "shellfish allergy" on his pref sheet.

Sits in corner being envious. I'm severely allergic to all of the above. I couldn't figure out why a chef would give a guest who is allergic to lobster, anything within the same food group. He most likely assumed that Adrian would be more cautious and not give him any type of shellfish.

What is a higher priority for Kate, good smelling breath or be good at blow jobs?

she was off camera when she made that comment so that was really her unfiltered unfiltered?

I'm team Rhylee as well. These last couple charters redeemed anyone I previously had a little bit of uneasiness about this season: "mean girls" Kate & Josiah, "tough girl " Rhylee & now "new girl " Laura.

I agree it's nice seeing main players getting along.

Ross may be a douche in sheeps clothing based on the company he keeps and his public intoxication arrest as of late.

Tyler- you are not good looking enough to act the way you do. So what if you "stay hard"? This episode showed a selfish and immature boy. Rhylee can find better. I'm sure other offers will come her way. Tyler can stay on his surfboard til all the good ladies are taken, then have no visitors at the nursing home.

ITA. He invites her on a date to basically tell her "you're only my banging partner; don't get all clingy." If that's the way he felt he should just say it outright and skip the date (where he also asked her to "dress up" ?????)

I'm not sure what he said qualifies as "mocking." He's pissed because he got caught being messy and decided to lash out at her instead of taking responsibility. Is it her fault that he (and the primary) posted pictures together on social media? I'm sure Rhylee isn't the only person who took a screenshot.  You know Andy Cohen had it in his back pocket for possible future humiliation.  I haven't been a Rhylee apologist at all this season but in this case, I found Ross's comment gross. I think she was teasing and I think he was deliberately trying to hurt her.

If you read her twitter it was clearly not with good intentions. I am not saying she shouldn’t have posted it but it was clearly meant as a dig at Ross and his response literally just turned it back on her.

I think that it’s a case of drugs...Viagra or a Cialis. With those drugs men have a prolonged erection. Ones that last over 4 hours can sometimes require medical intervention to deflate them. He may be overcompensating.

It’s not right to put any responsibility on the victim.  As ghoulina put it in a very smart post earlier, think about it from Laura’s perspective (or any hypothetical victim):  it’s awkward, she wants to be a team player, she wants to get along with her co-workers, she doesn’t want to be labeled as humorless, what’s the big deal, etc., etc...  And of course there’s a slew of difficulties involved if the perpetrator is your boss or in a position of power.  Also, note that when she did eventually tell Adrian to knock it off (in the preview), his response was not to say ok or to apologize, but to once again put the blame/responsibility on the victim (“why didn’t you tell me?”).   There’s so much blaming-the-victim going on, and excuse-making for the creep/perpetrator.

YES!

I would encourage women, absolutely, to speak up for themselves. But I also understand the myriad of reasons why they feel the can not or should not.

And I will also never put the aggressor's behavior on the victim not speaking up. If a child was molested for 4 years by a family member, and then finally comes forward and says something, would it be okay for people to say - "Well, you should have spoken up earlier?" I realize that's a much more severe act. But when we make excuses for "smaller" acts of harassment or abuse, they grow into bigger acts.

At the end of the day, a grown man of his age should know you don't stand right behind a woman and make inferences about your penis. Period. If his mama didn't teach him that, he should have learned it in life. There's no excuse.

and the first response from any decent person to hearing "that has really been bothering me" is "Oh my god, I'm so sorry." Period. Not "why didn't you tell me before." The latter is just making excuses, which is a way-too-developed art among too many people.

Right.  BTW, on Twitter, someone asked Captain Lee his opinion of Adrian’s behavior, and while he said it was unacceptable, he also criticized Laura for not “stopping” the behavior in a more “stern fashion.”  Boo.

Also, Adrian blocked me after I sent him a #MeToo tweet.  Kinda shows his feelings about the matter.  Is he remorseful?  Reflective?  Nope.  Defensive?  An asshole?  Yes.

On the other hand, if someone has been saying sexually inappropriate things to you on a regular basis, you don't then say "Sweet and juicy" to him in response to the latest sexually inappropriate thing as you're squeezing orange juice.  Either you're offended or you're complicit.  I think she's been dragging it out because it gets her some extra attention.  Or it really doesn't bother her at all.

To me it seems it only bothered her once her and the ex-stripper deckhand started getting kinda serious.

Wasn't Cameron the one who suggested to Kate that she say up and watch Chelsea when they couldn't get her drunk ass to go to bed?

I think it was Kate - she said "so what do you suggest? That we just stay up and watch her?" and the girl said something like "i think that's best"

actually i think it was more of kate asking what they suggested they do. the friend said just leave her be and then kate said so they should just stay up and watch her and the friend agreed.

And I think that was a classic case of miscommunication:  for Kate, the important part of the pseudo-suggestion was "so we should just stay up and watch her?", but I don't think the primary's friend even registered that part of her remark.  I don't think the guest truly intended that Kate and/or Josiah sit up to watch over the primary all night.  I suspect she thought it was something they could all just tiptoe away from, not reckoning on the liability situation it might create for My Seanna.

I think the guest bitch absolutely meant that the staff should stay up and watch the primary bitch. Then she sauntered downstairs with an air of "it aint my job". These women were hideous beasts. They are an embarrassment to: women, women of their age group, women from NYC, women from America, women from the East Coast, nouveau riche, women in bathing suits, women who drink, women who eat, women who speak, women who breathe air...Just fucking embarrassing in every way and on every level. Jet lag and alcohol my ass.

First of all - I love Josiah. His dry comments never fail to crack me up - whether it is shame cocoon or Rhylee and Tyler driving across the country, peeing and bathing out of (different) buckets.

Secondly - I'm glad Laura calmed down a bit, I enjoyed her a lot more. Adrian - hope you learned, and are striving to be less disgusting.

Third - I still think Kate is a good manager. Despite all the drama previously, I liked how when she got up in the morning, the first thing she asked Laura was what she needed, and then did it. Laura - hope you note this is not Kate "checking herself". This is her being a chief stew, and putting guests needs first. And I hope you continue to show Kate that same respect and completing a task immediately when asked. Question it if it is insane or uncomfortable, but don't question it if it is part of your normal duty set (like making sure all the towels are picked up).

Fourth and final - Did someone really ask Kate to stay up all night with a primary who is being a stupid, dangerous person? I don't care how much you paid for a service, places still have rules and regulations. The Captain shows he's not afraid to get mad at a guest if they do something that endangers themselves or others, and this is doing the same thing. Their charter should just end early if they cannot demonstrate they are capable of handling themselves. And the primary should apologize profusely and tip big for her stupidity.

I just watched this scene again. Kate asked one of the guests what she recommends  and the guest said just let her stay there and sleep. Kate says so stay up while she sleeps? The guest says yes and proceeds to walk off to bed I assume.  Kate then says hell no that's not happening. Then she says to Josiah to get the hose.  So yes the guest meant for the staff to stay up all night and watch that crazy bitch.

At that point i think they need to go get the captain (even though he was probably asleep already) so he can be the bad guy like he was with the jet ski incident.

If you're willing to hose down a guest that's passed out then I don't know why you cant just bring out your inner bitch, tell the guests that aint happening and have someone carry her to her room.

This is what will most likely happen. Just because Kate said I’m serious or not joking after the hose remark doesn’t mean she was actually going to do it.

I really wish they had shown this. I *think* one of the blond guys (I can't tell them apart either) was shown in the distance driving it back while Captain Lee was yelling at the guests. But HOW he got it was left unshown. That seems just about impossible to manage.

A few of you have mentioned not being able to tell the blond guys apart. Totally cracks me up!

I can tell them apart, because to me, Ashton looks like a former (or current) stripper, and Tyler looks like the epitome of a bro-dude, bro-douche, whatever you call it.

Tyler looks confused most of the time, and he looks like a guy who would enjoy being called "Throttle" (didn't he proudly tell us that was his nickname?) and who gets excited by things like ... wait for it ... "Whoa! Dude! First tracks in the fresh peanut butter!" -- or whatever he said.

I forgot they shared a cabin.  This makes it really creepy.

I'm going to add one more hypothetical but very likely scene.  Last episode a clothed Adrian goes into their bunk cabin, Laura is on her bottom bunk.  While standing with his crotch near her head, Adrian asks "What does your 6th sense tell you about me now?"  I told my wife right away, he has an erection but we can't see it (because the view is just from the door and is of his backside).  But SO LIKELY!

We see him from the side first and he is about to get in his bed. He also doesn’t say that line out of the blue he says it in response to her saying she always knows how big a dick a guy has which goes to her sending mixed messages about the kind of conversations she is comfortable with having with him.

I have really liked Ross this entire season but his comment to Rhylee above is just gross.

I feel like his comments are kind of petty and bitchy, but not that terrible. They do 2 charters per week and they only film for 6 weeks total. Tyler shows up in episode 10. And if you go through the episode descriptions you realize that by the time Rhylee and Tyler have their awkward date, they've only known each other for 2 or 2.5  weeks. Ross calling Rhylee a "stage 5 clinger" is obnoxious, but she for real does not know Tyler in the fucking least in the show's chronology.

Unfortunately, Ross and Rhylee already had a complicated and contentious relationship by the time Rhylee and Tyler imploded. Additionally, the only person who "explained" to Ross what happened between the two of them was Tyler. So Ross has had a somewhat negative experience with Rhylee, he's been told one story of what happened between Rhylee and Tyler, and as they've done press for this season Rhylee hasn't stopped being an asshole. I see his clapback as sort of par for the course.

I can tell because Ashton has a giant square head like Howie Long or the catcher guy who is one of the Phillies sportscasters (Ben something?), like how can they even wear hats, and Tyler has a normal ol' blah head.

I'm no great Laura fan, but I'm not going to blame her for "talking to other people" about Adrian, especially in talking head interviews, because I find it likely that they prod her  for a response there so of course she's going to tell us.

Tyler is truly an asshole.  Thinks he's the man as he keeps on talking about how he's "banged" Rhylee 'cause that's what grown men do - not. I've learned that most attractive men are the worst people to be in a serious relationship with.  Give me an average looking man with heart instead of a good looking one with a "shit don't stink attitude" anyday.

I love Josiah. Hope he finds a great guy, if he hasn't already.
