2019 DCC Audition Speculation

Gina and Miranda ate lunch after the fittings.  Amy had a Mt Dew and Molly is eating pizza.  I wouldn't worry too much about any of them until after the calendar shoot.  They diet/work out/cut carbs every year for this.

Her current profile pic on her IG account (I posted earlier) is from the season.  Not dieting for calendar.  She looks too thin in that photo.

I will say again I DO NOT FOR ANY REASON THINK GINA IS ANOREXIC. Too scrawny right now, yet, medical issue NO.  But dang girl is looking rode hard and put up wet with being so thin and that stringy hair. You can do better DCC. Please don't make this look point or triangle either. Point needs to look pretty and healthy.

They posted a different pic on FB and Hannah looks bad in that one too. She is in the same swimsuit so not sure if it’s the cut of the suit or the angle or what but her thigh looks huge in that pic too.

I am not an Erica Wilkens fan but saw on her IG she was at Kitty's last night and posted the same dance.  I am not a dancer or expert on technique but even I could tell VK was a hot mess compared to Erica.

For the longest time I couldn't understand what people were talking about with VK and her spatial issues, but I see it especially in this one. No one else was moving constantly out of their dance space.

Seriously though she does not look big AT ALL or harsh in person. Now Rachel W does have longer torso and bigger, shorter legs in person, but not out of proportion or anything. 

I am sure Jinelle went to Judy and Kelli along with the person who handles the social media pages and told them to post a bad picture of Hannah. This is not the first time or the last time they have posted bad pictures of the girls.

And she tells girls who are the same height that they need to weigh the same. For someone who tries to promote healthy weight, she has no clue that girls with the same height can have different body types and look good in the uniform.

CMT probably film the fittings last year since the calendar shoot was after finals were over. The only reason why they showed the fittings before was the fact they were trying to say the shooting happened after the new squad was announced which of course the fans and viewers knew it happened before auditions actually started.

We i don't think that actually happened lol. Guess I wasn't as funny as I thought. But isn't Courtney one of them who does do social media and she kisses Jinelle's ass something bad. I would rather have Jinelle do the podcast than Shannon and Courtney together. I secretly wish Marshall would sneak in and do something to Shannon's beard because it looks terrible to me. I was sad when Robin left last year because I think she would be great if she had the chance to be a co-host with Kristy.

i just came here to say the same thing!  Funny how WE all noticed it!  Erica's rendition looks smooth and strong.  VK is not ready for the team this year, after spending ALL YEAR getting ready!?!?  Of course she's at Kitty's ... getting bad advise again.

I agree that they would have to change a LOT, but other teams have done so. The DCC could do it too, but I'm sure they don't want to. One thing they would definitely have to modify is their choreography. The women look silly enough doing "sexy hips." A man would look ridiculous. And I really do not want to contemplate any man doing jump splits. I know they wouldn't just slam down on the twig and berries, but just the thought of it makes me cringe.

Yes, but most other teams don’t have both a co ed and an all female team. And I’m sorry but what kind of benefits and extra compensation do the girls have? The chance to participate in the calendar shoot? They won’t have a co-ed calendar so that goes. “Perks” like free blow outs, lash extensions etc? Again, those are women only and I don’t see them as perks.

Oh yes, they have told her Scott was mean to her last year, our board is mean to her, she should be excused for bad behavior cause of her age, on and on.  That's not helping her.  The girl needs honesty.  She needs constructive criticism.  If no one who supposedly gives a damn about her will do it, then others will.

VK really is "A beautiful storm" or whatever they said. I'm glad she's having fun. She does have some appeal and draws attention.

But compared to the ladies who demonstrated controlled finesse  - VK is a wild, wild horse.

Everything is just too big. Her stance is way too wide.

I stand by Gina looking terrible. She can’t be more than 100lbs and that’s not her natural body.  Being skeletal ages a person, too.

The problem with Victoria is that she has literally been told her entire life how pretty she is and what an amazing dancer she is.  If you're told that for as long as she has been told that, you just believe it.  She is average--at best--in both categories, but she and Tina will never be able to see that.

No, I'm talking about money. Paid modeling opportunities. Better and more frequent  appearances, which both pay more and offer valuable intangible benefits for those who know how to take advantage of networking opportunities and know that "DCC" on your resume pays much greater dividends for future opportunities than "DC R&B." I also suspect the DCC put in a lot more hours than the R&B so overall they make more money that way as well. The R&B aren't rehearsing 5 nights a week all season long, plus occasional Saturday practice and show group rehearsal.

I do see the calendar trip as an amazing perk, and they very well could take the guys with them. The Baltimore Ravens include their guys on the calendar trip, even though the guys aren't in the calendar.

No. I'm referring to the modeling agency that is part of the DCC organization. These are opportunities available while a DCC is an active member of the team.

Are there any rookies not coming back? With the ladies posting the swim fittings it's hard to remember whose all posted about it. Alanna hasn't posted or I missed it. 

Side note some of these ladies need to eat a sandwich. A healthy body is more beautiful than a skinny one.

All rookies are returning, the only ones who retired were Kashara, Lacey, Kelli, Yuko, Jessika, Tasha and Kahylan. 

There weren't very many pictures of Maddie, Madeline, Alanna, Jalyn and Amber. You could catch them in the background or here or there but that is it. Also no Lauren - which could mean she opted out again this year.

While I agree in principle, a male dcc would never get the same gigs. And I don’t think it’s being unfair to the guys at all. Girls get gigs like advertising beauty treatments and detox teas because that’s the only thing that matters *obviously* to young women. Or they get to do catalogues and mostly dance attire. I don’t think we will soon see that many males in cheerleading and this is again because for a long time now, women are delegated to cheering men playing sports. I don’t think this is going to change and I still don’t think this is being unfair to men. If they try to get a dancing gig they will be more respected and make more money than being a male dcc would ever get them.
