So the more I think about it, this "move" to L.A. seems like it's Bravo's way of getting them there so that we can watch Frederick work his magic in L.A.   At least I'm hoping this is the true storyline, and not just Derek calling the shots.

I checked Fredrik's Instagram page, and he said that this is something that he and Derek have been talking about for several years.  Fredrik is trying to grow his business in L.A., so it sounds like he is willing to travel back and forth to NYC.  Apparently he's not giving up on NYC!  Although I wish him the best, I'm afraid that with him trying to do so much that it will eventually take a toll on him.   It would be nice for him to slow down a bit and enjoy his family.  As the kids get older and get into school, he will want to be there for all of those little milestones.  I wish him much success and happiness!

I think that Freddy's business is at a point where he doesn't have to manage the day to day  or does he   actually have to sell property himself.  I think he just shows listings for the TV show.  He can no doubt do a twice a month 2-3 nights in NYC to check in on what's happening.

yes, that chest hair is so random.  Looks like he manscapes it a bit, but then wears a shirt that is lower than his hairline.  So weird.

Also, as I constantly say on the Los Angeles thread...I can say here too.....I freaking LOVE Flagg!!!

In the Cash Cab episode tagged onto MDLNY Frederik was the guest contestant. During the video question, Josh Altman read the clue and Frederik kissed the screen after they win and stated how much he loves Josh A.  Whoops for continuity.

I think that he's a very capable Broker, it's just that the show is focusing on his struggles more than his wins at this point.  Luis went through the same thing.  I never thought that poor guy was going to catch a break!

I agree that Tyler is a capable broker, but he has two deficits to overcome to break into the higher end of the NYC real estate market. His firm apparently is not that well known, and he himself has no experience selling high end properties. Eventually he'll get his chance.

Heather is barely recognizable after all of the work she has had done on her face. She was so pretty before.  On the other hand Emilia looked great right after having given birth to Zena.  She doesn’t need to do the exaggerated lip or whatever it is she does.  Zena is beautiful!

I knew they would try to bring the cast of Million Dollar LA on the show.

I wonder what is the nature of the dispute between Josh Altman & Fredrik?

His wife ,Heather was pretty upset.

I believe this was all staged for the show. Heather was playing a part.

Me too.  Is she pregnant with a SECOND baby now?  Loved that Flagg came to the open house and it appears the Agency boys from London are there next week.

Yes, they have had a second baby. Think it was a boy.

Heather looks freakish.  I do not think she was pretty before, but whatever she did didn't improve it.

Emilia looked so young and pretty at the hospital.  Yes, the exaggerated lip is not needed, and all of the make-up and contouring or whatever she spackles on really ages her.

Yeah, him walking around with a coffee cup in his hand when he's showing properties bugs me.  It just looks like he's trying to be too cool & casual.  I much prefer Ryan & Fredrik's business attire.  For me, it just looks so much better when dealing with the high-dollar clients they have.  Save the casual look for a night out.   Steve's outfits might be considered high-fashion, but I'm not too crazy about a lot of it.

I'm glad they showed an abbreviated version of Zena's birth.  Good for Ryan & Emilia for keeping most of that off the show.  Some things need to stay private, IMO.

I'm taking Fredrik's side in advance against Altman.

Doesn't matter if they're friends, Fred is not required to check with Altman before considering moving/spending more time in L.A. Fred's had team members in SoCal for a while and there's no justification for Altman somehow feeling betrayed.

I know this is gonna sound mean but I find Tyler‘s scenes on the show extremely boring. I FF thru most of them. They just aren’t entertaining to me.

Steve must’ve hid douchiness when he was first on the show cause he’s just too douchey now and not fun to watch anymore really.

Ryans scenes made me cry. Love it.

Never seen MDL LA.

Yeah I can sniff fake Bravo drama.

That home up in the hills does have beautiful views but seems more like a party pad, not a family home.  It's so dated though.  You'd think it would bother these people who are used to brand new, exotic finishes.  Even the husband, who wants an outdoors lifestyle, is he not going to want clean and new?

Tyler was honest about the value for the Central Park apartment.  If units on higher floors in the same building are going for less than this buyer wants, it seems unrealistic to hold out for more money.  Personally don't see what's so great about looking down on Columbus Circle.  Maybe great the first couple of times but the views which endure are the skyline rising above the Park.

Ryan with the canned post-birth baby moments.  There must be some value beyond whatever Bravo pays them for him and Frederick to open up their personal lives to the show.  Because you'd think what Bravo pays them would be a fraction of their annual income.

Maybe they're just narcissists or exhibitionists or fame whores.

Though I wouldn't say those shots of them in the hospital or holding the baby are particularly intimate.  Just staged to appear that way.  Maybe they figure a lot of potential buyers have families so it's part of their branding now.

Find it hard to believe that brokers of a rival listing in the building would litter up Steve's listing like that.  Or maybe it was his own people who left a mess.  Steve should be livid, if he cares enough about that property to go whining to his boss.  He didn't even bring that up to his boss, that they spend a fortune for staging and someone left a mess.

So maybe more fakery?

It looks like there was a dispute between Fredrik & Josh Altman over a transaction.

Heather looks completely different now from when she first appeared on the show.

I suspect that the messed up listing for Steve was staged, and easily remedied after filming.   I find it ridiculous that the chief of the Corcoran Group was involved in a discussion of trash left behind for any reason but filming.

I bet there are people who are looking to sell, or buyers that are going to buy in NYC, that see this show, and think that they would want to work with Ryan or Fredrik.     I bet the other agents aren't so popular with viewers, or potential customers.

I'd watch a show following the career of the woman who heads the Concoran Group. She seems smart, tough and decisive.

There used to be a show called Selling New York and it featured women brokers/realtors.   It was pretty good.   I'd be interested in this particular woman's story too.

Seriously. If I'm spending millions on a property, I'd like to think the salespeople could wear suits. Or at the very least, if the style is more upscale/high fashion casual, I can work with that. Steve looks like he's hawking fake Rolexes off of a folding table on 6th Ave most of the time. There is something (a lot, actually) to be said for "looking the part".

I like him as a reminder that everyone has a "first year". Even Ryan and Steve were new agents once upon a time. I suspect Frederik came out of the womb selling something, lol!

I thought the discussion was more about the developer and Corcoran Sunshine sort of cutting him off at the knees by releasing the other penthouse nearly simultaneously, and at a lower price. That seemed like a legitimate concern. The trash thing was more about annoyance, but I don't recall him bringing that up in the discussion. Anyone showing the place could have left that behind.

Hope it doesn't continue into MDLLA.   The fighting fake drama made me leave all the Resl Housewives.

That drama is lost on me.  I don't even remember Josh Altman.  I think it's much ado about nothing.

I feel so bad for Fredrik's brother hearing the news that Fredrik might move to L.A.   I'd be upset too if I uprooted my family from another country and moved closer to my family, just to have them move across the country.  Maybe they can work something out.

Tyler reminds me of this guy Jack McBrayer

I can't stand Josh or Heather so I'm on Frederick's side (even though I'm not a fan of his either) because they both came across so entitled.  Fred doesn't 'owe' you anything.

Tracy and the the Brits were much more gracious.

I do wonder if TPTB are anticipating a transition from Fred to LA.  We've got a new NY broker this season and Luis is back.  I'd enjoy that because that would totally shake up the LA franchise.

Feud in LA, boring.

Frederick’s brother being upset that he moved his family to NY to be near him could be interesting but there’s no way Freddie is telling him he may move on camera.  So they’re acting.  Or if Frederick is breaking the news to him on camera, he should be pissed.

Tylers segment, kind of meh.  Interesting to know that Facebook chef in NYC, which isn’t even their headquarters, make enough to shop for $3-4 million apartments.

The scene with the buyers broker and Ryan was BS.  He knew Ryan didn’t get an answer back.  How ridiculous that Ryan says he got the buyer to up his offer.  No the other broker weighed the properties they were looking for and probably had a discussion with the buyer about how much they’re willing to pay.

The phone call was simulated for the camera.

At my table for one:

I agreed with Heather. A courtesy call would have gone a long way. Especially as they seem to work for the same firms. Also oh my on the parting shot of her. As pregnant as she is, she is still wearing strappy heels.

Poor Tyler. He is trying, but I wonder if he isn’t out of his league. At least he is trying and using a Life Coach to keep his enthusiasm up. The couple who reduced their top limit after speaking to their parents...I think that she comes from money and needed parental help for the down payment. If they are going to have a child, they might not be able to afford everything with only one income. NY is very expensive. Yes, it’s less commission, but you shouldn’t steer the clients to an uncomfortable level of payments.

This was kind of a dull episode.

I do agree with Heather that Fredrik should have told them that he was coming to LA.

Didn't he have his team set up before he announced he was moving to LA ?

I suspect Fredrik will be on Million Dollar LA next season.

I loved the apartments that Tyler was showing the young couple. They did seem to be expensive though.

I’m not so sure. Im expecting him to have some kind of meltdown. He runs a business in Sweden, his main offices in NYC, his screen writing with his brother (another source of conflict that was introduced last night), an office being opened in CA, his marriage (with someone who wants the LA lifestyle and schools) and two very young children. It almost sounds as though he needs his own show (add more stress with cameras following). He can only spread himself so thin.

On NY I’m really only enjoying Ryan. He seems fun and very driven. He isn’t afraid to wear costumes or do what it takes to market a property.

I find Steve to have gotten sloppy, and Tyler well...ho hum. As long as they keep delivering the house porn I’ll watch.

He's always had a team (or at least for a long while), so I don't get what she's all ticked off about.

Also, I LOVED LOVED LOVED when Heather said "my husband isn't scared, he's the top Douglass Elliman agent"  And good ole Freddy says "no he's not, I'm the top agent, he's the top California agent"  Gold!!!

It would also be interesting to know if she still works there.....the way she was doggin' the staff/execs for not thinking Alaskan King Crab was good enough.

Regarding the Facebook chef--we don't know what her husband does for a living. Maybe he is the one who earns the biggest bucks. Doubt they could afford a $4 million apartment on her salary alone.

Steve looks worse week after week. His gf does seem very odd. I guess she just hangs around the apartment all day? I swear, I see a young Octomom when I look at her and that is not a compliment. She looks very young and then those lips. Ack. I can't imagine they will last more than a year together. Ryan and Fredrik look SO handsome and professional, compared to Steve. Steve looks like he picked his dirty clothes up off the floor and staggered out of the house.

And that's why Altman was pissed and feeling threatened -- if Fredrik will be spending more time in L.A. and personally taking a more active sales role, Altman risks no longer being the top agent.

Tracy is friends with Altman and I'm sure had been hearing his side of the story non-stop, but her defense of him was ridiculous: "You should have called him!" Bullshit. How about when Altman found out, he should have called Fred to congratulate him? Ghosting Fred on the phone is typically childish Altman behavior.

I felt badly for Fredrik's brother, but sometimes life takes unexpected turns. I moved to another state to be close to my sister, then she and her husband left. I ended up following them again, but they had to make their life decisions based on their own needs.

Glad Tyler made that deal so we don’t have to see those buyers again.  NY prices are that inflated that seller will cut that much odd the asking.

I like Art Deco style though the furniture must be copies, not originals from almost a century ago?

In any event, that seller was obnoxious.  This dual listing could be a show stunt.  If it’s real, maybe Luis will have Ryan do all the work and just collect his share of the commission.

Tyler is right to demand some more attention from Frederick who doesn’t seem to believe his buyer is serious or can buy a $6 million apt.  I guess the running joke is to make fun of Tyler’s agency name.  Come on Frederick or Bravo producers, you can come up with a better joke than asking why 3 mints.

I wonder how often brokers who want a listing push back against sellers’ prices which are way higher than comps.  Maybe since he was referred to these buyers by a mutual friend, he agreed to make it and do it on the show, to see if it would help sell an overpriced property.  He probably figures he could always push for lowering the price later.
