Regarding the bolded: Patrick’s wife’s name was Carlyn (It’s Carlyn in the article you linked & I also know it is because I’ve been a Patrick Duffy fan since The Man From Atlantis). I think that’s her, not Linda Purl, with Patrick in the top pic.

Sorry about that. IMBD confirms that the late Mrs. Duffy's original name was Carlyn Rosser (and she lived to 77). I'll go back and make the needed change.

In any case, her widower Patrick and Miss Purl seem happy together so that's the important thing!

Linda Purl lived in the same huge town I did years ago, during one of her marriages.   She raised a lot of money for charities, and people who met her said she was a very nice, and gracious person.

I wish Ms. Purl, and Patrick Duffy every happiness.

Johnny Depp was “asked to resign” from the Fantastic Beasts films.

IMHO he should have been fired before filming on the second movie.  I have no desire to rehash the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard marriage, but dude is and has been a drunk for years.  Wino Forever is not cute, it's disturbing and he should not be rewarded with another major franchise.

He should have never been cast in the first place because of his "everyone is Captain Jack Sparrow" mode of acting.

Something happened to him while filming that franchise and by the end of the initial trilogy Johnny Depp morphed into Captain Jack Sparrow.  I find it hard to differentiate between the actor and the character at this point.  His drinking became an issue that many are willing to overlook, and him helming a children's franchise albeit as the villain did not make much sense.  A studio can hid drunken behavior on set, but what about the press junkets all major blockbuster films require.

I never understood how Grindlewald could look so freaking old in comparison to Dumbledore anyway, so maybe cast someone about the same age as Jude Law and make them LOOK about the same age.

I think Scott Baio is looking for work.

I know that's supposed to be a joke but FUCK NO.

I second Waltz. He's actually Austrian and can play a charismatic bad guy. Or bring back Colin, that works too.

I agree! While I give the doubt's benefit that Mr. Baio is not a spousal abuser or substance abuser, in addition to having his OWN problems and being completely intolerant of those who aren't lockstep re his POV, Mr. Baio has only been marginally tolerable re comedic roles and a complete fail when having to do anything remotely dramatic (e.g. as evinced by Happy Days and Charles in Charles Very Special Episodes in which his characters were given the chance to try to  dramatically emote but  his attempts just wound up being painful to watch  ). At least Johnny Depp COULD hold his own as a performer but I agree it's past time to drop him like a lead potato and find someone who can at least make comedy and dramatic moments shine- which are NOT Mr. Baio's fortes.

Hahahaha....don’t make me laugh.

He’s a big time mask denier and nobody in sitcoms or movies would hire him. While they are maskless when the film starts rolling, when the actors are at table reads together, they are wearing masks and kept apart, according to the CDC guidelines.

And Baio knows about studios. They are very cold and have zero circulation in most instances. They are not comfortable. It’s the best way to get colds or a disease. Him being maskless and whining about Hollywood not respecting his rights is just stupid. He knows what a studio is like.

Which is why they should 100% not be making any movies or TV shwos for the next couple of years.

Listen I agree with that statement, but money is money, unfortunately. We will see what happens.

I have to think there is more to this story than infidelity, right?

Even if there is he'll probably bounce back like these two....

If the husband is being fired for infidelity, why does it sound like his wife and co-pastor is getting the heave-ho too? Is it her choice to leave as a sign of support for him, or does Scientology Jesus Edition hold that she's damaged goods and no longer suitable to give moral guidance to its marks—er, I mean congregants—thanks to her husband's wandering dick becoming public knowledge?

It didn't say what the moral failures were. If not cheating, it could very well have been something she was in on, or at the very least benefitting from.

I believe Lentz's own statement admitted to infidelity.

This might not be news to anyone else, but I was surprised to find out that David Duchovny has a music career and his third album is going to be coming out soon. I listened to one of his songs and I can't say I feel compelled to try more, but good for him I guess.

I rolled my eyes on so many verified men on Twitter either just expressing their condolences or in some cases saying since he was in his own home he needed worker protection! He jacked off during a work call and exposed himself.  There should be no debate about worker’s rights, unless we are talking about the men and women who had to see it.

^^This^^  Nobody wants to Zoom in their morning work meeting and see that.  And if you do, have enough common sense to set up a separate computer, in a separate room, excuse yourself from the meeting, and go to it in private.  Whoever Toobin was playing virtual Beat It with certainly did, which is why that person is out there still employed.

Based on other reports about his activities it was a cam girl or an escort so she was doing the job she was paid for.

In other bizarre news, Chachi showed a candle display at Michael's Craft Store

You can't make this up. Oh, Lordy! Where's SNL when you them? This is pure comedy!🤣He's a real life cartoon. Ron and Henry, keep doing what you do best. This is one way to say, "Don't hire me." I hope that store continues this disavow this nonsense. So, so, dumb.

The Mary Sue article is spot on!

Are we sure that setting up end-of-aisle displays at Michael's isn't Chachi's actual day job?

He's no Ron Howard or Henry Winkler, that's for sure.

Or for that matter, even Anson Williams (a successful director),

because he has gotten away with shit before. He had an affair with a junior staff member, she got pregnant and he offered to pay for an abortion and then pay for her to to be artificially inseminated if she wanted a kid. She refused and eventually had to be ordered by the court to pay child support.

Also, he is a straight white male writer, I imagine he will be fine given the defense of him. Again HE EXPOSED HIMSELF TO HIS COWORKERS!!!

And yet he was suspended, not fired, and there was not lack of proof. He had it in his own hands!

People are getting fired right and left for comments they made 25 years ago but this wanker still has a job??

He was initially suspended while they investigated, he was fired today.

Thanks for that info. They investigated and then fired. Was the appropriate way to conduct workplace investigations.

But what took them this long to investigate- he was holding the evidence in his own hands 🤣🤣
