Spoilers for Under the Dome

Recommended Posts

The promo video for Episode 207 is up, and the still photos leaked earlier didn't do it justice.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/08/under-dome-episode-207-going-home-promo.html

Barbie gets pulled down into the bottomless pit (or maybe he was sucked down, because the Dome sucks), and cuts the line to sacrifice himself so that the rope doesn't drag Julia down with him.  No wonder DJ Phil was tired of Barbie's heroics, he keeps doing it every week.

There's also stills up for Episode 208 and 209 on SpoilerTV

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/08/under-dome-episode-208-awakening.html

Barbie hikes a lift under an army truck to (what I'd guess would be) the city of Zenith to visit his dad while Julia and the Scooby Doo gang deal with the crisis of the week under the dome with a little assistance from Rebecca and Big Jim.  Not sure where Barbie got the glasses from while riding under the truck.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/08/under-dome-episode-209-red-door.html

Barbie gets to spend some more quality time with his Dad, albeit while he's now handcuffed to a table in a secure room.  I wonder where Sam is -- maybe in the room next door ?

What is it about Barbie getting arrested or almost unjustly executed that irritates me so?

Because of the utter stupidity of it and that it keeps happening to him.

Junior makes yet another stupid statement to Barbie after learning Sam killed Angie and jumped to his "death" -- "I'm just supposed to believe you.  You don't know my uncle".

Neither does Junior -- he's known him for all of 5-6 days at this point, after not seeing him for 10 years.  The same uncle that was considering killing just two episodes ago.  And, for some reason, Drownsie is on Junior's side of things.

I'm so sick of his stupid angsty whining.  Jr doesn't know anything and he keeps getting screwed over for being a dumbass.

"Black Ice", huh?  I'm calling it now - The Dome is a very advanced version of SimCity, but the person playing is having more fun with the disaster function.

So, Godzilla should be making an appearance soon, stomping a path of destruction through the 7 or 8 farms, airfield, cement plant, Sam's Cabin and the Andrea's house of Food and Stuff.

In the press release for Episode 210, Big Jim gets back together with the little missus.  And yet another environmental calamity is afoot.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/08/under-dome-episode-210-fall-press.html

What is it now -- a sharknado ?   And does everyone Under the Dome get a conjugal visit with a loved one from outside the Dome ?  If people can leave/re-enter the Dome, why don't they all just leave ?  And if Pauline Rennie comes under the dome, maybe she can cover the walls with her really shitty art (of course that would block the path of air through the dome and they'd have to get that giant windmill out once more )?

I think The Dome is closer to The Sims than Sim City.  I was more into personal torture of my sims, so if I controlled the dome I would be putting them in swimming pools without ladders and walled-in rooms without toilets.  Let Big Jim chew on those problems!

New promos are up for Episode 209 - Red Door -- on Spoilertv

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/08/under-dome-episode-209-red-door-3-sneak.html

New revelations

  • The 'military' (or at least people looking like soldiers) has started patrolling right along the edge of the Dome, yet no one has made any effort to communicate with them
  • Junior and Drownsie have the mini-egg and are going to hide it in a safe place (Drownsie -- stay out of the fallout shelter), and Melanie no longer thinks Julia can be trusted because Barbie is her priority (this 'lack of trust' nonsense --- again.  How many times are they going to wheel this trope out ?).  I predict Junior and Drownsie are going to hook up and soon.
  • Junior told Big Jim about the mini-egg, and Junior still thinks Big Jim is a good because he has done a lot of good things for Chester's Mill (WTF ?)
  • Barbie's dad indicates there was a lot of bad PR after the missile strike so everything was outsourced to private contractors (both security and communications), which makes no sense at all.
  • Barbie's Dad tells Barbie that 'they' want Julia to trade the mini-egg for Barbie's release.  Apparently getting people out of the Dome hasn't been and never will be the top priority for the authorities.
  • Big Jim keeps probing Julia with questions about Barbie -- does she want him to organize a search party for Barbie's body down the hole ? Shouldn't she be grieving more ? -- since he knows that Barbie is alive, but she doesn't know that he knows.

ETA: Because 'things' and 'thinks' are not the same.

Promo clip and stills are out for Episode 210 from SpoilerTV

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/08/under-dome-episode-210-fall-lq.html

The voiceover states "The Dome is bringing loved ones back together"

Back together ? Since when were Junior and Drownsie ever an item before now, but they are finally getting "back together" (though Junior and Drownsie do start kissing in the fallout shelter).  Junior gets a visit from a Dome avatar disguised as Angie in the shelter (you would think Angie would avoid that place, even as a Dome avatar).  We get to see more of Pauline 's shitty paintings.  And there's an earthquake in Chester's Mill while people are in the tunnel.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/08/under-dome-episode-210-fall-promotional.html

The stills show that everyone piles into the fallout shelter, and Big Jim gets control of the egg (and looks pretty evil while doing it).

Lots of new clips for Episode 11 of Season 2

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/under-dome-episode-211-black-ice-sneak.html

For some reason, Barbie and Julia are driving an empty ambulance in the bitter cold, musing about the pending loss of crops and loss of people.

One key piece of info -- Barbie says that he hopes that have enough food to last until October.  So we know that it is before October, probably early Sept.

Then the ambulance hits a patch of ice, and tips over with Julia in the back (it probably wouldn't have tipped at all without Barbie's lousy driving skills).

Joe, Norrie and Hunter go check out the Dome, Joe touches the Dome and his hand freezes to it, followed by the Dome starting to descend into the ground (WTF ?)

Do they need all four hands to get the Dome to rise again ?

Big Jim feels bad about closing the tunnel after Barbie yells at him.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/under-dome-episode-211-black-ice-promo.html

They decide to turn the high school into a shelter -- why wouldn't they just use the hospital ?  What with medical facilities and all, in addition to lots of rooms.

Drownsie is unconscious -- again.

Julia apparently dies, and Barbie tries some deep chest massage to bring her back to life.

Episode description for Episode 12

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/under-dome-episode-212-turn-press.html

"When a new threat from the Dome intensifies, the residents of Chester’s Mill find themselves at risk of being crushed to death. Meanwhile, Melanie’s health continues to deteriorate as the fate of the egg remains unknown."

The Dome is getting down, and appears to be reducing the size of the covered area by doing so -- what will happen to the 6 farms with pigs and the cement factory and what's left of Joe's farm, and the island in the lake as the Dome descends ?  A descent into madness, perhaps ? Bwa ha ha ha !!!!

Maybe the Dome has given up on all these fools, and is just going to crush them all to death so it doesn't have to deal with their stupidity any longer.

If the dome can go down, it will probably go up the following episode (probably following a hailstorm or a flood -- haven't had either of those calamities yet) and float away to Zenith or some other bullshit.

Under the Dome - Episode 2.12 - 2.13 (Season Finale) - Promotional Photos

http://www.spoilertv...213-season.html

For Episode 2.12,

Drownsie is still sick and needs a blood transfusion, while Rebecca and Sam treat her, and Barbie is full of concern for his newly discovered Dome-zombie sister.

Pauline looks to have died in Big Jim's arms in the woods, and Junior is freaking out.

Julia looks to be bored.

For Episode 2.13,

Everyone (including Fivehead's mom # 2) goes backpacking in the tunnel, it appears Julia has been shot in the leg, and there are purple lines forming in the walls of the tunnel.  (oooh, scary)

3 new promo clips are up on SpoilerTV

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/under-dome-episode-212-turn-extended.html

Drownsie getting sucked into a hole in the ground amidst some really crappy CGI never gets old.

And Lyle is back.  Yay !!!! (says absolutely no one)

Rebecca and her fancy science -- "At least the Dome stopped spinning and inverting the atmosphere, that's why the temperatures warmed up".   Sure Rebecca, sure it did.  I think she needs to go back to college for some remedial science courses.  But she is determined to figure it out.

And the Dome shrinking isn't a steady process -- it stops and starts whenever it wants ('cause that's how the Dome rolls !!)

"Do you think the Dome could be evolving ?"  -- Oh, Scarecrow Joe, leave the sciency stuff to Rebecca, she may be terrible at it, but she's still leaps and bounds better than you.

Barbie's Dad shows up for a visit with Barbie and Hunter at the Dome's edge.  I like how Barbie yells at his Dad, and then Hunter rights it down (because the yelling is so unnecessary, and no one reads lips).  I love how the security guy with the computer kind of massages what Barbie's Dad is saying as they argue about whether Drownsie is alive or not.  Or when Barbie spouts a monologue followed by Hunter writing "Will die soon".  It's hilarious. Seriously, this is as bad as watching the GR on the 'The Leftovers' communicate minus the finger snaps.

Low-res promo clip for the season finale is up -- and the stupid continues

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/under-dome-episode-213-go-now-promo.html

Highlights from the clip

  • The entire town (all 50 or so) gather around the Domehole while someone does a little rappelling into it.
  • It's raining again, as everyone is holding umbrellas outside the high school loading into a school bus -- maybe this time it will rain pickle juice instead of blood-red acid rain.
  • Pauline's not dead, in fact she states that she saw her own death -- so BIg Jim murdered Lyle just for stabbing Pauline, not for killing her.  That seems like a bit of overreaction, but in the heat of the moment Big Jim's switch is set to kill by default.  But then it appears Pauline dies as Big Jim pleads to the Dome to bring her back (like Drownsie)
  • Big Jim then threatens to kill everyone, threatens Andrea (doomsday prepper's wife with the houseful of food that was managing the diner) with a gun
  • Big Jim beats up Sam
  • There's a house on fire
  • Everyone is down in the tunnels, and there's a big light show
  • Junior falls down -- anytime Junior gets hurt, it's funny because he's such an idiot, but it looks like he fell down in the tunnel connected to the Domehole

3 new sneak peak clips of the Season finale are up on SpoilerTV, and it's just as ridiculous as ever.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/under-dome-episode-213-go-now-season_86.html

Fivehead has caught Debbie Downer Syndrome from Skaterboy Ben from last episode, questioning if they are ever going to get out from under the Dome. And wondering how she will survive without Mom #1.

And we finally get the answer to the biggest mystery of the series -- why Fivehead was going to boot camp ?  Only it's the answer that no one has been asking to be resolved.  Turns out she punched a girl in the face and knocked out her tooth for making fun of her hair.  So, I guess she's a bit of a hothead under stress.  No big surprise there.  Of course Joe is all" the Dome wanted you here, it would would have found another way".  WTF ?  Fivehead was destined to be trapped under the Dome -- thanks Joe, kick her while she's feeling down.

Pauline has one of the lamest death scenes -- claiming she's no longer in pain (red flag !! red flag !!) and eventually (and painfully to watch) dies. Sherri Stringfield should be thankful she's done with this stupid show, but her acting is pretty terrible.  Of course, Big Jim is all sad until he turns and sees Rebecca with a needle and vial -- me thinks that Rebecca euthanized Pauline, and that's pretty much a guaranteed murdering from Big Jim (Sam will probably help too).

Big Jim finds Pauline's last painting in her studio -- a portrait of her own death (stabbed in the torso, and bleeding from her mouth).  And it is probably the shittiest painting she has ever done. Big Jim loses it on the painting and trashes it, and then proceeds to look up to the heavens and plead with the Dome gods to bring Pauline back.   He then actually addresses the Dome directly, as if it was a character listening to him -- "Dome.  I'll make you a deal. If you bring her back right now, I won't murder every single one of your special little friends. I won't slit Julia's throat. Shoot Barbie in the heart. I'll burn those kids alive. Ok. You got 3 seconds."

Do what I say or I'm going on a murdering spree -- Big Jim needs to work on his negotiating skills, because Big Jim would have probably gone on a murdering spree anyway just for kicks (it's just a matter of time).

Is it too early for Under the Dome scoop? — Jo

It’s never too early. There may be more rough waters ahead for Julia and Barbie as I’ve learned that Twisted alum Kylie Bunbury has landed a guest-starring role—with the possibility to recur—as Eva Sinclair, a potential love interest for Barbie. “Eva Sinclair is a beautiful, young anthropologist who has mysteriously arrived in Chester’s Mill,” executive producer Neal Baer teases. “How she got there and what her relationship is with Barbie—and how she will come between him and Julia—will be revealed, providing stunning answers to why the Dome dropped over Chester’s Mill.”

This is kinda spoilery, I guess - from EP Tim Schlattmann at SDCC 2015 (to quote Giles in Buffy, "the earth is doomed")...

Between the Matrix life, the cocoons, and Christine Price's (Marg Helgnberger) arrival, the Stephen King adaptation has become increasingly more complicated. However, one teenager may prove to be the little town's savior.

"Humanity may rest on [Joe]," Schlattmann teased.

The EP also hinted Barbie (Mike Vogel) may need to hit up Toys 'R' Us sooner rather than later, although Schlattmann didn't specify whether or not his child will be human. CBS is really into devastating alien pregnancies these last two years...

Between the Matrix life, the cocoons, and Christine Price's (Marg Helgnberger) arrival, the Stephen King adaptation has become increasingly more complicated.

Complicated ?  I think the EP is confusing complicated with bat-shit crazy.

However, one teenager may prove to be the little town's savior.  "Humanity may rest on [Joe]," Schlattmann teased.

Joe is going to save the day.  Really ?  Because of the solar panels he found means they finally get electricity for all their wireless doo-dads.  Question about the solar panels -- if they weren't crushed by being flung against the Dome when it was magnetized, why weren't they crushed when the Dome contracted ?  Because they would have been sitting at the base of the Dome wall and should have had tons of dirt heaped upon them.

The EP also hinted Barbie (Mike Vogel) may need to hit up Toys 'R' Us sooner rather than later, although Schlattmann didn't specify whether or not his child will be human.

Who's pregnant with Barbie's child ?  The most recent episode had Ava's early pregnancy test come back as negative, so is Julia pregnant ? Or is Barbie buying baby gifts for someone else ?  Christine Price ?  Or latest redshirt Abbey DeWitt (because she really misses her baby that is outside the Dome) ? Or Fivehead (even though they used condoms). Considering that this show moves about one to two weeks per season, that means there won't be a baby until Season 21 at the earliest if it's human -- unless it is an alien baby and is delivered by the end of Season 3.   What's next -- a crazy wedding ?  My money is on Junior and Christine -- since all of Junior's love interests die violently.

Was the catastrophic meteor shower caused by the Dome, did the Dome attract the meteors with its magnetism ?  I guess they ran out of calamities inside the Dome and needed something new, so the writers figured lets cause a catastrophe outside the Dome.  This is just so ridiculous.

CHEAT TWEET: Is Chester’s Mill all that’s left after a meteor shower hits outside the Dome?

And the world becomes overrun by Abbies -- whoops, wrong show.  It would take a lot of meteors (or one really big meteor) to destroy the entire world.  Are the promo monkeys at CBS high ?

Also, when Joe and Norrie question the town’s new rules, they find themselves in a dangerous face-off with the increasingly unstable residents
