Sonja, you leave Paul Nassif  alone. I have this whole plan worked out where Shannon on OC will get rid of David and Terry and Heather will fix her up with Paul.

Only if Terry and Heather really, really hate Paul. What has this nice guy ever done to deserve Shannon?

HunterHunted, I totally agree with everything you said. If I knew how to quote you, I would but I'm technologically hamstrung. At any rate, Sonja really is delusional and living in the past with her uberwealthy husband. I think she always dreamed of a life style with a really rich man and finally achieved that dream. When it fell apart, she never adjusted to her new life. She's a sad example of wanting the wrong things and then getting them. I know I shouldn't feel sorry for her but I do because she does seem to have a good heart but is just truly lost. I have no hope that she'll ever wise up. That's a sad thing for sure.

I'm not a huge fan of Tamara Tattles but her info is usually accurate, and boy does she have some gossip on Sonja in regards to the whole movie deal debacle. Long story short, Sonja's name was attached to a production company that was at one time legit, and was slated to fund 100% of a film for a whopping 250 million dollars all the way up to the 11th hour when she backed out and is alleged to have breezily told the filmmakers that "deals fall through all the time" and basically stop being so dramatic. I feel like there's some information being left out here, but the courts certainly didn't take Sonja's side.

TMP, the full article is even worse, especially where the filmmakers say that Sonja got a finance heavy to call and pressure them to drop suit.  I think Sonja is incredibly  shady and seems to have a pattern of wanting people to do dirty work for her.  I don't think she is at heart a kind person.

ETA - I can see how people can think they can handle business they can't handle, and lie thinking 'well, I *will* have the money by then.'  Not okay but very human.  I think Sonja is different though but this is not clear when you first see her.  She is constantly making classist comments and she has since the start.  She clearly thinks she's 'up here' (castmate Cindy, 'masses not the classes,' the name-dropping) and most are 'down there.'  I just think she's an asshole and I think she has no real generosity in her at all - like the attitude during the Marriage Equality march.  She is not just addlepated - she is abusive and very, very arrogant.  IMO.

Sonja was my favorite way back when, but I can SO easily see her saying this in a nonchalant way, as if being married to a Morgan made her immune to all the things that befall the average person.

I'm dating myself here, but it very much reminds me of Leona Helmsley's "only the little people pay taxes" attitude.

I was JUST coming over here to post this article.  Wow.  If I wasn’t fully convinced that Sonja was a shady shyster con artist before, I sure am now.  I mean, I always knew she was exaggerating about her many “brands” and “deals” and “clothing lines” she had going on.  But now I’m pretty much convinced they’re mostly all out-and-out lies.

Next time she tries to garner even a drop of pity for the “hard time” she’s been going through, I’m gonna roll my eyes so hard my eyeballs might get sprained.

Anyone know how the sonja morgan new york line is doing?  Like how its sales are going, or whether anyone is actually buying the $1000 dresses at all?

I just looked at her site and according to it, 1 dress and 2 tops are "Sold Out". The dress was not initially posted on her site at all, it is a formal gold dress and both tops are halter style, including that see through 1.  She has pushed back some of the ship dates until July 15th as well. I also noticed that you can not leave comments or rate how much you like/dislike something you buy from her! I guess she does not want any sort of feedback from her customers. LOL

This is what gets me about Sonja. She's so concerned about the classes over the masses that she misses real business opportunities. Someone else has a "What are you doing here without Dorinda?" T-shirt. She's the Sheree Whitfield of RHoNY. Sheree had her catchphrase that she failed to capitalize on and let Bravo trademark it and monetize it. Sheree flitted from unsuccessful business opportunity to business opportunity all while constantly trying to get more money from her ex. Sheree was often filmed working out and helping the others to get in shape, but it was two other castmates who put out workout videos. Ultimately, Sheree got cut from the cast because she had no story and she was dead broke. Sonja is somewhat luckier than Sheree because she got more money in her divorce and her bankruptcy trustee would never allow Sonja to spend money like a drunken sailor the way Sheree did. Sonja should be looking at Sheree as a cautionary tale.

Bravo trademarked 'what are you doing here...??'  Bravo is the one who put out the t-shirts?

Sonja was drunk so she probably forgot she said it.

I might be the only one who doesn't think it's that clever.

No. Someone else did.

Bravo trademarked Sheree's catchphrase. I was making a point about both Sonja and Sheree sleeping on opportunity. But considering how much Andy loves to use the "we always have a great time" drop, I wouldn't be surprised to see it show up on a shirt.

I was reluctant to post this, because she's still a child…but Quincy has an ask.fm page and posted this:

So Quincy does NOT go to boarding school. I didn't think so. She spends every other weekend and summer with her dad. She also mentions she has step sisters. Do you think Old Man Morgan went on to have more children after he divorced Sonja? Or are these much older sisters from a previous relationship? I got the impression they were younger.

Is it cool to have a famous mom

I get asked this question a lot so I will answer it once and then the others I will delete and that will be the end of this matter. I feel as if my mother is often portrayed unjustly to the media which is upsetting to me because she is my mother and I love her so much. I try to ignore these things but they can become unavoidable when people come up to her on the street. I know that the only reason my mother is even in the public eye is for me. She gets payed and she uses that to support me. I know not to believe what I hear and I am good at it. I know who my mother is. Now I would be glad if this question was put to rest and never asked again. Thank you. 2 months ago

My opinion for Sonja is in the dumpster but for the sake of this sweet child, I hope she never stop believing the above.

Totally off topic, but... I just read this "offer" and it made me immediately think about the kind of "opportunity" sonja could promise to her potential "interns" (it's a 100% real one, I copy-pasted it, no modification at all, except of the added quotation marks ) :

I hope the poor kid learns basic math and sees what her father pays in monthly support and realizes that is exactly what it is; her support.  I bet Sonja has those BRAVO checks spent long before they hit the bank.  I'm wondering how many under the table payoffs there are for poor interns who wake up to having a drugged out naked Sonja trying to spoon them on whatever cot she makes them sleep on.

Plus German famewhore barely-models might be cheap when the cameras are a built in benefit,  but I'm betting he wasn't completely expense free.  Heck even Sharpies can add up when relied on so heavily.

So I am housesitting at a place with no cable but a Roku so has HuluPlus and got into a rabbit hole of watching season 6 because I hadn't watched it and then I decided to rewatch all the trip episodes from all the seasons. I thought it was funny how after scoffing at the label that she was delusional in the season 6 reunion she talked about wanting to got to Dubai because she was tight with the royal families of the UAE and she would hook them up like she hooked them up in Morocco.  Cut to me rewatching the Morocco episodes and Sonja has never been before and reacts like a nervous nelly who has never been out of a small town every time they venture out of the riad. Hell she was even nervous inside the walls of the riad.

She literally doesn't remember anything that comes out of her mouth or even remember anything about her own life. Also, it was fun to see how many different business ventures she has had during her time on the show with none of them coming to fruition.

I was going to out up a link to Sonja Morgan and her non-Bravo blog but I received a warning the site may be hacked.  Sonja did a recent story about a trip to Thailand (with her group of friends) last summer she was staying in St. Tropez with friends and showing her flower arrangements she had made for the impressive dinner table.  I think after last year Sonja chucked her RH friends for friends who aren't so judgmental.  She seems to have a lot of girlfriends and travel mates.

I never got why she acted like such a rube in Morocco unless where they were staying was questionable.  I just remember LuAnn, Jill, Kelly and Cindy not treating her very well.

I have enjoyed Sonja this season since T&C, the first part of the season she was a mess but the second half she has been entertaining.  I loved after getting disowned and left to hang out to dry last season by LuAnn she is not rescuing Luann.  Just a couple of comments here and there. I think Sonja also managed to receive to of the more heartfelt apologies from this cast-LuAnn and Heather.

If I had to pick a T-shirt slogan for Sonja it would have to be, "Nice doesn't work with you people."

Now if only Carole would apologize for claiming Sonja was too much work.  In T&C it was Ramona that slut shamed Sonja and she handled it well.  I felt like Bethenny was trying a little too hard to have yet more camera time and for once Sonja answered back and it made sense.  She has managed to keep her home for her daughter and did her business her way.  I don't think her clothing line will be successful but at least she put the energy into it.

I am not suggesting that Sonja hasn't travelled before, I was suggesting the fact that she stated on the season 6 reunion show that she had all these Moroccan connections and had hooked the Housewives up on their trip there appears to be delusional.

Kelly said some mean though true things about Sonja's house behind her back and Lu was acting like a bitch to Ramona and Alex but Sonja seemed spared of that as she left the room anytime they got into it. Cindy was a crazy person but it was based on things Sonja said to her, there was no excuse for Cindy's reaction to Sonja saving Lu a seat, but Sonja did "apologize" to Cindy for things she said with her standard "you misunderstood what I meant stance." And Jill and Sonja basically never interacted.

I believe Sonja did take a couple of ladies to a nightclub. It was my understanding it was not filmed. To me, it was the second trip with a designated hostess and I don't think LuAnn did a good job.  She was punitive.

I only like sober Sonja and for the most part she doesn't create conflict for the heck of it between the women so when any of them rip into her it seems kind of unfair.  I didn't like the way Carole and Luann went after the facialist-I agree with Kristen it was funny.

I have thought many times this season, for some reason, that what Sonja is doing is money laundering for all the people she says she is engaging in business. It just seems so likely that the money they are putting up to fund her stuff, is money they need to get in one way, and out another.

It's so sad that so little of Sonja's life makes sense that our off the wall speculations (money laundering, human trafficking her interns) make as much sense as anything coming out of her mouth.

I posted this in another thread, and b/c I'm obsessed, wanted to repeat it here...

On Sonja's clothing website, we've been talking about the absurdity of her trying to sell $1200 dresses in S,M,L sizes, etc., etc.  So Iooked at her size chart (link below), and all of her pant inseams are 31 1/2 inches.  WTH?  31 1/2 inches may be Sonja's exact personal inseam measurement, but that's too short for plenty of women!  I have short legs for a 5'6" person, and I'm in the 30-31 inch range... All the jumpsuits have exactly the same inseam measurement, too, 26 3/4 inches.  Something ain't right.

... and to be clearer, what I'm referring to is no matter what size pants you get, they're all the same length-- 31.5 inches, which is pretty short.  Same thing with the jumpsuits, they're all the same length no matter the size.

Shoegal, I went back and checked Sonja's blog from that episode.  http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city/season-5/blogs/sonja-morgan/building-the-brand-with-heather

Photos were taken of Sonja and her TO box both with and without the guy, she chose the 1 with the guy. Her big complaint was her "logo", it did not have a sexy, feminine J on it!

I have never, I repeat never, been so fucking exhausted in my life. I just said the other day that it was so clear someone else must be writing Sonja's blogs lately. This is a great reminder of what a mess they use to be. I literally have zero idea what she is talking about for the most part. I always thought her blogs were a good indication of the way Sonja's mind worked. I hadn't recalled that she was talking about oven mitts and perfume even back then. I had also forgotten that she said the Martha Stewart people wanted to help her, but she turned them away because she had Heather. So great to revisit all of this now, what with her admitting she never really had any actual interest or backing in the Toaster Oven to begin with. To read this blog, Toaster Oven success was pretty much guaranteed because of all the interest. She might be delusional, but actually what Sonja Morgan is is a Liar.

Sonja needs to include herself when bitterly snapping about ill behavior. Her forceful, mean, and unsolicited tutelage of the rhny pecking order (to Cindy B.) was anything but nice. And, Sonja was most certainly not "nice with (any) people " as she whined, complained, and lamented to the pro bono layout designer/photographer during Heather's charity event. Also, at the race track and afterwards, Sonja's "nice-less" and petulant behavior galloped to first place. So, her "...you people" has a self illustrative + 1.

Was Sonja a model? I found this:

modeling002.jpg

Sonja Morgan, born (November 25, 1963), is a fixture of New York City society, running in social circles that include European royalty, business moguls, and top-notch designers. Born Sonja Tremont as the eldest of four children in Albany, New York, her early life started with beauty pageants and modeling internationally. After receiving a contract with an Italian modeling agency, Morgan attended New York's Fashion Institute of Technology to earn a Bachelors degree in marketing, and hence secured a position in the garment industry. She then operated an Olgivy & Mather award winning French designer store Arlequin Boutique (for Marketing) on the Upper West side of Manhattan. Having jet-setted around the world and modeled in Paris and Milan, continued to flex her marketing skills and worked for multiple restaurants, hotels, and other luxury brands across the country as a consultant such as The Plaza Hotel and often brought in her famous friends to spice up these locales after the openings. It is here she first earned the moniker "The Straw That Stirs The Drink" John H. Mariani, author and Food and Travel Correspondent for Esquire Magazine, It was also in the early nineties that Donald Trump said "Sonja is the glue!" Maintaining her fashion flair Sonja was featured in the gold standard The New York Sunday Styles by Bill Cunningham in 1997 and voted Top 21 Best Dressed by New York Magazine in 2011. She was a Star Magazine Fashion Critic until the magazine ended the feature in 2012. Sonja has graced the cover of several magazines incuding Social Life Magazine, K9 Magazine, and Latino Show Magazine in 2015.

Oh my! Sonja was on WWHL last night (roped into watching the beginning since it was tacked onto the RH episode. Damn those shady Bravo peeps responsible for feeding the cable outlets their schedule) and clearly has had some ill advised work done. The new implants or fillers in her cheeks coupled with the eye makeup intended for the stage and overzealous use of self-tanner made Sonja look like a hideous Halloween witch.

It seems like there should be more than a photo or two if she were really a model.  Someone like her, who keeps bags until she's freshening them up with Sharpies, would certainly keep a scrapbook of her campaigns, photoshoots, etc.

Wow, she looks terrible.  I agree, she had something done in the cheek area.  A barrel of filler and there is this area where the skin stretched and left this rubber band look, this area of skin that looks like it could pop.

She was asked if she had work done and lied, said no.      She looked so so bad.

She is too short to have ever been a model. She was probably photographed at some party once, then called herself a model.   The same way she had jobs as a hostess in restaurants and called herself a consultant.

What she authentically is , is a liar and a drunk.

At 5'7" Sonja is in good company add to that the fact she modeled 30 years ago.  http://www.fashiongonerogue.com/short-runway-models/  When my brother modeled in Europe and did so successfully for 15 years, including two major print ad campaigns and eleven covers, he told me there are all kinds of people in modeling.  It is just not all about the major runway campaigns-something he did not do.  I remember Brandi and her herd of models talking about modeling in Europe with various retailers (something Brandi did not remember doing but the others assured her she did).  Was Sonja ever a runway model-probably not but she most likely was able to do some smaller gigs just as her friend LuAnn did.  I have been to shows where the models get paid and they are of a local nature.  Thirty years ago if Sonja made $100.00 a day for modeling it was probably enough to pay the rent.  Even the really famous models talk about living modestly when they first started.  There is no doubt in my mind Sonja enjoyed her days living in Europe.

I addressed the phoniness of this picture as "evidence" of Sonja's alleged modeling career in the Rumble on the Runway episode thread, but the more I look at it the more it irks me. Not only has Sonja succumbed to all sorts of modeling cliches sporting slicked back hair, evening gloves and holding the {box of the} product she's supposedly endorsing in the palm of her hand, but look at the dress! It gathers on the left, there are no feminine curves in the silhouette and her bust seems as flat as a board. Sonja might as well be wearing a giant tube sock or wrapped in ace bandages. No fucking way this photo was commissioned by Chanel.

Again, I'm losing brain cells reading this.  My life for a comma! Or proper grammar!

One of her interns must have told her she needs to be on LinkedIn.  It's.....sad, and funny in that unintentional way that's so....sad.  Clearly cobbled together from a variety of sources rather than written for the purpose (in one section she refers to herself in the third person, in another it's first person).  She is apparently still looking for backers for the clothing line?!?

Fun facts from it:

Apparently she started the fashion/jewelry business in January 2015.  Huh?

One of her organizations is "France" - yeah, poorly placed commas and LinkedIn's hyper-links will do that to you.

     Museum is spelled Museo

     She was an actress??

Her movie producing career was 5 months long. but the stated months are AFTER the only movie actually made, The Marsh, was premiered at Cannes?!?

She claims the cinematography award for The Marsh as her award, I guess because of the producer credit.  Hmmm.....when I watch the Oscars, the cinematographer accepts that award, but whatever.

Another honor and award, being one of NY's 400 families (hey, isn't that Morgan's family, not hers anymore).

She thinks "Fanny Brice" and "Funny Girl" are different.  Or she (or her intern) doesn't know the meaning of the word "or."  I can't decide.

I'm mostly amazed she hasn't made her Kennedy connections more clear, don't you know she was born on the day of President Kennedy's funeral?  No really, that part is true, the funeral was 11/25/63.

I am going to be interested to see what happens at the finale and Reunion.  Sonja is gonna get beat up for the first part of the season.  The rest unless she totally lays an egg Tuesday should be pretty simple.  My guess is she is going to defend Ramona and end up getting the brunt of the Ramona hate.

I'm not so sure that Sonja will have Ramona's back, at least not all of the time. Her few blogs this season have not always been kind or forgiving of Ramona. I think we might see Sonja call Ramona out for blaming Bethenny about calling her, Sonja, an alcoholic and questioning her drunken behavior to the other HWs begin with. Of course, she will cut Ramona slack because of Mario/separation when it comes to how Ramona treated the other HWs, just not her. LOL

There's a review of Sonja's clothing line on the New York Post website.  It was pretty awful but the good news is that there's a slideshow of her designs.  I liked being able to see the individual pieces up close instead of on a moving model but was totally unimpressed.   So were those who left comments.

I'm mostly amazed she hasn't made her Kennedy connections more clear, don't you know she was born on the day of President Kennedy's funeral?

And John-John's birthday!

Those HWs have a strange definition of what a friend is, I know that subject has been beaten to death here.  I agree with you that Sonja may cut Ramona slack on calling her an alcoholic, etc. this time.  But I don't put it past Sonja that if, by some twist of fate, her life changes and she meets someone at the Morgan level of fabulosity, she will dump Ramona in a heartbeat and not forget what Ramona said about her.  Sonja dumped her before when she married Morgan, and would probably do it again.

Since Project Runway has started a new season, it is my hope that Sonja is asked to ba guest judge. I'd love to see Heidi et al's heads explode when Sonja asks wierd questions of the contestants.

I just visited Sonja's "luxury brand" site for the first time. There were a couple of hilarious things there that caught my eye. First, when you click on the individual items the description includes the line "Designed in New York City." Who cares where it was designed? It doesn't, however, mention where the clothes were made. While not every factory in China and Bangladesh produces crap, most high-end designers use European factories because their standards are much higher.

The other thing that made me laugh was the fact that much of the line was polyester. I have no problem wearing polyester or polyester blends because certain garments are made better by using the fiber. I do have a problem paying such a high price for the cheapest fiber used to make clothing. Even if it is from the best fabric mills in Italy, it's still polyester. The reason I pay more for an Eton dress shirt or Missoni socks is because the cotton is of the highest quality: long, fine fibers from the best farms in the world. Polyester doesn't have the same quality grades as other fibers. No matter how you look at it, it's still polyester.

The Empress has clothes (which is a surprise in itself), but a "luxury brand"? Please!
