Everyone knows Ensley does not have Down syndrome. Posts suggesting that she does will be removed and warnings issued. Posts such as these leave the impression that an arguably unflattering picture could somehow be construed as a child being disabled is considered ableist and is against the rules of the board.

Nathan seems like a ragey motherfucker to me. Even Janelle seems afraid of his ass. I'm with ya. I don't think they will make it to the alter. At least I hope not. 

That's what I don't get. If he's such a douchecanoe and she's afraid of him (Jace too!) then why be with him? Oh right...Jenelle is one of those codependent types who just can't be single or she's totally miserable. There's gotta be a dick in her life....even if he is a total dick to her and her kid(s). 

 

I am hoping they don't make it to the altar. But sadly, they probably will, especially if MTV is gonna foot the bill. She won't give that opportunity up I am sure.

Yeah, vague-booking/tweeting with pronouns instead of nouns and names so that people will get curious. Leah did the same tactic going into the custody hearing and the fallout over cheating in her marriage.

I think it's a play on the nursery rhymes about the 3 little piggies. The game is played by counting a babies toes. One toe gets roast beef, one toe gets none, and the last toe cries all the way home. I think the joke is Janelle has enough drama for 10 toes and the link points to a posts that lists her poor behavior on vacation.

Woah!!  I'm speechless.  As a vietnam veteran's daughter, an ex-girlfriend/now best friend of a guy in the military, and as someone who helps run a nonprofit that helps veterans... That is just...  I live in North Carolina, right on the border of South Carolina.  Very close to Jenelle.

In the comments people are talking about petitioning MTV to take her off of the air. I doubt it will happen but honesty, the fact that MTV didn't take Farrah back but Jenelle is still on TV is crazy. Farrah may be a vile person, but I don't think she's AS vile or AS much of a psychopath as Jenelle (and she doesn't have the extensive criminal record & propensity to violence the Jenelle has).

Let's hope poor Kasier is kept away far from these idiots. Maybe grandma aunts uncles, maybe even a nice adoptive family will take him in. He's still young enough. Don't believe in marriage equality but had a child out of wedlock with a druggie and using veterans benefits.

Not for nothing, but what does using veteran's benefits have to do with anything?  Nathan has shown himself to be a douche in a lot of respects, and he's definitely not doing any favors for the veteran community's reputation.  Heck, he may or may not have lied to get his disability.  (Just from what I've seen on this show, there's a lot that doesn't add up with his behavior and someone truly limited by trauma - and those limitations are what the disability is supposed to make up for.)  If that's the case, then the next time he has his ratings evaluations, they will see the TV footage most likely, and probably cut off his benefits entirely.

 

However, I'll play the devil's advocate and say that he has come by his benefits honestly, that he was upfront about his issues, and the doctors decided to give him a disability rating.  Fine.  At that point, he can use those benefits however he wants.  It's not like they're just given out, like welfare or something - he signed a contract with the government that if he served in the military, and he got injured, he would receive these benefits to make up for potential income lost.  He can use it to pay for life's necessities like a responsible human being.  Or he can get himself a reality star sugar mama and then use his own benefits for TV's and engagement rings.

 

Nathan still is a huge douchecanoe, though.  I can't believe I sound like I'm defending him.  I'm not.  I just don't think using veteran's benefits is something that needs to be looked on as a source of shame.  If and when it comes out that he frauded the VA, *then* that's snark-worthy... JMO.

I totally agree on all points. IF he's getting the benefits legitimately (which IMO is a stretch, but going with it for the moment) I don't feel like it's up to other people to decide how he's allowed to spend the money. Same goes for any other veterans. Unless someone's skipping out on child support payments or something, I don't feel like anyone has the right to tell them how they can spend it. I'm not comfortable saying a veteran shouldn't be allowed to spend their benefits on a vacation, engagement ring, or hell junk food, dinners out, and legal escort services if that's their thing... it's not up to me. Also not up to me if they opt not to save for their kids' futures, college, or whatever.

 

And yeah, I imagine the TV footage will be coming in to play next time he's up for review, because it sure doesn't seem to my untrained eye like he is all that seriously limited, but who knows.

 

I can find a zillion other reasons to snark on him and dislike him, but how a veteran spends his or her disability benefits (again, if legitimately earned) isn't one of them.

I'm the wife of a disabled veteran too, and yes, there is an extensive process.  They look into what the veteran was like before the service, his work ethic during serving, and how he's been affected afterwards.  A lot of veterans, sadly, have massive personality changes after they go to combat, maybe have some brain damage, etc.  That's actually part of the whole disabling process.  If Nathan had gone in with a shining personality, had a great work ethic during service, and then something happened to make him the way he is now, that would be taken into consideration, that he can't function in society like he used to be able to.  If I was a betting woman, though, I'd say that Nathan is just being Nathan, and he was like this all along (manipulative, slimy, etc.).  No amount of IED's could make someone attracted to Jenelle unless they were already predisposed to it.

 

The other thing is, unless he was rated at 100% Unemployable, which is darn near impossible to get for most people, he's expected to be working in addition to this.  He was working before he got together with Jenelle, right?  Some sort of timeshare salesman or something?  So let's say for the sake of argument that he's rated at 70%.  With two children (if they were considered full dependents, which his daughter might not be) that's a little less than 1500 a month.  That's 18K a year.  Compare that to how much Jenelle is pulling in.  Maybe he gets Teen Mom money too, but that's really not the point, as Candace was specifically "exposing" that he used them to pay for the ring and vacation.  He either had to save up for quite a few months to be able to do that, or that rumor isn't even true, or there was a lump sum back payment involved, meaning he wasn't getting paid for many months or even years before.

 

Jenelle is clearly the main breadwinner in that couple dynamic (at least until MTV dries up).  There's no evidence that any of the three kids in their life are hurting for money.  They're hurting for a LOT of other things (guidance, love, nurturing, sane adults, etc.) but I don't think I've ever heard that there's no money spent on them.  Heck, they have a massive room remodel every few months (whenever Jenelle up and moves).  But even if that money should have been spent on them (and Lord only knows how many college tuitions Jenelle could have paid for if she hadn't spent money on Kieffer, drugs, alcohol, lawyers, etc.), HOW they spend the money is one thing - the source of it is another.

True that. Using some of my finely tuned Medic skills, I would theorize that in the military Nathan was a top grade sick hall ranger with a chronic case of whineritis. Unfortunately those types tend to prevail the one it comes to getting military compensation.  No doubt in my mind he was never a stand up guy.

I'm just saying he has his rights and can get disability just like Jenelle has her rights of popping out a kid with a man she just met. Why cant others have their rights? I'm wasn't shaming him, just showing he has rights and so should others.

Everyone can relax.  Kaiser Roll's physical measurements are within normal limits, so Jenelle and Nipples must be doing something right!!!

Constant shouting matches in front of the child, having CPS pay them a visit, and smoking while nursing are irrelevant as long as his height and weight are OK.

I'm new here but I just saw a replay of the episode where Janelle gives 101 reasons why she can't take Jace back before completely changing her tune and saying that she desperately wants to have full custody.  And the thing that pissed me off was that it was all about her, 'I want Jace back' 'I'm his mother' 'I've been clean and sober', absolutely nothing about Jace's wants or needs.  Barbs isn't going to win any 'Parent of the Year' awards but she has been raising her grandson at 60something with absolutely no support from his mother for five years, so points to her.  

Janelle just seems to think that Jace is a plant or something that she handed over to her mother to take care of and now wants back.  You don't get to hand over full custody of your child, bugger off for 4, 5 years, stay clean for a few months, pop out another kid and decide that actually you would quite like him back.  

Sorry about the rant, I just got so annoyed seeing Janelle make it all about her rather than Jace.
