A bit of Sebastian Roche (Balthazar) on Loving.

Gee.  Thanks.  Lol.  This made me fall into a YouTube hole of watching Jensen on Days of Our Lives.  I used to watch Days back in the day.  (Been watching on and off, mostly off, since I was around 4 and my mom used to watch!) And I remembered evil Sami and Hello! Dr. Mike Horton!  But I swear I could not remember Jensen as Eric at all.  So of course I had to keep watching to try to jog my memory.

He never had a whole lot to do, really, other than pine after and then get dicked around by victim-turned-vixen Nicole. He looked breathtaking and he always brought a lot of sincerity and heart to the role. That was about it.

Ah.  That must have been around the time of one of my more "off" sessions.  :)  So I got curious as to whether Days is still on - and it is!  Lol!  Too funny.  I might have to start watching again.  Brings back good memories of talking about the show back in college.  Fun thing about Days is that it never takes long to catch up on the storyline, no matter how long you've been away.  Also - talk about a show where no one ever really dies! (Stefano, amiright?)

Yeah, I stopped watching regularly when he came on because I'm a Lumi fan and that's when the started being mean to each other.   But, I found him totally forgettable.  Sami was my fave character so I was actually looking forward to Eric, but he kind of just fizzled. I'm sure it's not Jensen's fault:)  They recast him a couple of years ago with Greg Vaughan.

I think he's finally dead for good.  The actor is in his eighties and was not in the best of health, so he retired.  But, before that, I don't even think Sam and Dean would have been able to take him down, LOL.

Heh, you know, I've never been a faithful watcher, but my sister used to be and I'd sometimes watch it or just see it on in the background. Anyway, seems like I can always follow Days of Our Lives discussions even though I haven't seen it in over 25 years. Someone posted a link with Jensen and Jim Beaver a while back and laughed at how I could follow that one clip!

Okay, the actor has passed.  The Phoenix has left the show. But his PORTRAIT remains.

Ah...sad to hear that!

On the other hand, they could always 'bring him back' via body swap like the whole Roman Brady/John Black story.  Lol!

Or it could be a haunted portrait and Sam and Dean have to show up...

Speaking of soap operas I was flipping through the channels and stopped on General Hospital which I hadn't seen for months.  There was a custody hearing with two men fighting for custody of a little girl. I was like "who are these people?"  Then, I said, "Hey that's Dick Roman, and that's Young John Winchester."

DJ Qualls had a two-minute cameo on last nights episode of "Fargo" as a fake cop - kind of a 'blink and you miss it' thing.  Even though it was short, it was a cool surprise to see him.

He was in this week's episode too. Met an untimely death.

So... who won, the Leviathan or John Winchester? That poor child.

The leviathan.  I really have no idea what was going on, but apparently e was the biological father.

I've been watching Rizzoli & Isles when I just need to veg and don't want to have to think too hard. Samantha Smith crops up in a two part episode in S6. My first thought when I saw her was, "Are we sure that stolen painting wasn't haunted?" ;)

Seth McFarlane has a new show that will air later this year called "The Orville"; it looks like a spoof on the Star Trek series and other space shows/movies.  While watching a clip I kept asking myself why the actress playing Seth's wife looked so familiar... because it's Adrienne Palicki (Jessica).

Apparently Curtis Armstrong is taking his "Scribe" role very seriously. He's penning a memoir entitled "Revenge of the Nerd" about his escapades with Tom Cruise on "Risky Business" as well as his roles on "Revenge of the Nerds", "Moonlighting" and others (don't know about "Supernatural" though). Armstrong, 63, has had more than 150 roles in movies and TV. Good for him.

Decided to do a binge of s4 Smallville for Jensen reasons. He's just so pretty in that show and I am distracted by his long sideburns. And he's just so NOT Dean Winchester. Doesn't have the weight of the world on him that Dean does.  What is it about Jensen? He made Lana tolerable! LOL

Did we know that Ty Olsson has a role in the latest Planet of the Apes film? I didn't! He's playing an ape, but it seems like a fairly significant role. Good for him!

That's awesome! Good for Ty. He's a great actor IMO

Yes he's great as usual. But I especially like his work in the episode where he kidnaps Lex and his father. It is creepy the way he reacts to his mother - makes my skin crawl. Of course they did this quick turn around of the character after Jensen got released to play Dean in the new little show called "Supernatural".

He was GREAT with Jane Seymour. And I swear he had more chemistry with Lex and Clark than Lana LOL. But yes, great, work in the kidnapping episode. I read something from Annette o'Toole about how fantastic Jensen was in those scenes and how he was so worried he would hurt her.

It's on the commentary track for the episode. She had many nice things to say about Jensen, but was really impressed how much care he took when doing the stunt scenes and such. Not just that he was worried about hurting her, but also to make sure everyone was comfortable with the touching and grabbing. Very respectful, our boy is!

Ah, thanks! I must have read some type of transcription but thanks for clearing it up!

I think so too. I didn't realize until looking at his IMDb page just now that he was also in the first of the reboots as a different (human) character.

Look, I KNOW Jensen is not in Deadpool2 but dammit I saw this come across my Twitter feed and dammit look at Ryan Reynolds haircut.

It looks so much like Jensen's short hair before the Rome con. I KNOW it's not reasonable for me to make any connection to Deadpool2 but LOOK at the hair.

My head!canon is that Jensen secretly filmed something for DP2 in NYC when they went for the Upfronts.  I KNOW IT'S NOT TRUE. But oh if it was!

I just started watching Schitt's Creek, so I apologize if this has been noted before, but Dustin Milligan (Alan Corbett from Ghostfacers) is playing a vet and boyfriend. Still a cutie.

I was checking out the cast list for the new David Boreanez show called "Seal Team" that will start in the Fall, and noticed that A.J. Buckley (Ed the Ghostfacer) is in it.

Suzy the porn star from Rock and a Hard Place is in Jessica Jones as Pam

I just rewatched Jessica Jones last weekend (watching The Defenders got me in the mood), and knew she looked really familiar.  As in all things, I should've just assumed Supernatural because when I think of random quotes, or someone looks familiar to me, 95% of the time it's Supernatural-adjacent.  I eventually figured it out on my own halfway through.

And of course I would've already known this had I read catrox's post from when Jessica first premiered!

I saw Ben Edlund's name in the the opening credits of The Tick - the new Amazon Prime series. I had no idea he was the creator of the character The Tick, until I looked it up. Although I enjoyed the really short-lived series with Patrick Warburton starring as The Tick, I could not get through the entire first episode of this new series.

Just saw an snippet of Mark Sheppard in Charmed on TNT.  Either those girls were uber-short or the camera angles were kind to Mark.  He looked semi-imposing.

You inspired me to look it up. Mark Sheppard is 5 '9.  Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano are both 5 '2.  I don't remember seeing him in Charmed as I've only ever casually watched it, so wasn't sure if it was a Shannen epi or not.

I watched Charm regularly when it was on, originally. I did not know who anyone was back then. It's always a surprise when I re-watch the episodes and see an actor I recognize now. Jon Cho for example. Sometimes, re-watching old TV shows is like watching The Rashomon Job episode of Leverage.  I think I was watching Person of Interest before I watched Supernatural. In the re-watch I recognized Mark Pellegrino. I remembered that I liked the episode, but I had no idea he was the actor in it.

I've been catching up on Criminal Minds, which I used to watch regularly then fell off.  So far (that I remember) I've seen Jon Gries (Martin Creaser) and Tahmoh Penikett (Gadreel) in back to back episodes in S9.  I thought I saw Colin Ford in an ep in S10, but it wasn't him.  The kid looked a lot like him.  And then Matt Cohen shows up a couple eps later.  Alas, none of them made it.  (Well, the kid did, but it wasn't Colin Ford, so...)

On Thursday, Jimmy Kimmel did a bit where he gave out a "That guy from that show!" award. Kurt Fuller was nominated! He was a good sport to show up for a show making fun of the fact that most people don't know his name!

He surely did. And theu cut off his speech after giving Nicole Kidman like 5 minutes.  Pissed me off.

And then John Winchester presented right after. Supernatural at the Emmys! If only Supernatural really did get recognized at the Emmys!

I was so mad for Sterling! His speech was great, and I wanted to hear the rest of it!
