It wasn't just Cassie that "tarnished the USO relationship with the DCC." It takes a lot more than one wayward cheerleader & one supposedly upset military wife to change everything. Just because the end of the overseas tour happened when Cassie was one of many on tour doesn't make it her fault. Before this current rumour started, it was supposedly Cassie's injury that stopped the overseas tour. Now she was supposedly out of control sleeping around, drinking, who knows what. USO tours are a lot more controlled than that. You can't just run around base doing whatever you want. Drank? Possibly. Somehow hooked up with a soldier? Maybe. Got the DCC "banned" from doing overseas USO tours all on her own? Hardly. What's next? She was sleeping with the enemy, spilling state secrets? SMH

Not sure why i'm bothering to semi defend Cassie over something that happend forever ago but rumors at the time were she got drunk and hooked up with a SOLDIER. No body was married. Not her, not the soldier. She was late. I never heard anything about an officer wife being mad and not sure how an officer wife would have any clout unless Cassie slept with her husband WHICH SHE DID NOT. Honestly how the heck some random hook up got back to an officer's wife makes no sense to me. NOt like that's something you'd go tell your wife.

Also, USO tours have been party central for YEARS. Cassie does not have the power to cancel them. Not the first overseas incident for sure.

Also I agree if our troops cant resist CASSIE, then got help us all we're dead if a real spy comes on board. So stupid it's not even funny.

If I were a military wife and found out that DCCs were having sex with the servicemen when they came into the bases on these tours I would be very upset.   The military shouldn't be sponsoring anything like that.

Honestly there are tons, I mean TONS of hook ups on bases with or without DCC. I'd be upset if my fiance or husband was involved, but seriously you can't keep young, active people in dangerous high pressure jobs from cutting loose at times. Not really different than other college age people partying etc.

Nothing about hooking up with a soldier & only her speculation that this was "the straw that back the camel's back" regarding the DCC &  the USO. Honestly, if it was as bad as the rumour mill has it, there would be no DCC USO tours, overseas or domestic (&, I might add, they have a lot less control over the cheerleaders on domestic tours than any overseas tour). Rumour mill OUT OF CONTROL.

Veteran with 8 years in the Army, Afghanistan and Iraq time here. who has been to USO shows back in the day, hung out with cool cheerleaders who visited us at some deployed sandy places, let me just say that this convo makes me so sad. The cheerleaders came to visit us back in the day, and were super cool-it was nice chatting with NORMAL nonmilitary people when folks like them arrived! I have nothing but great things to say about DCC and other pro cheer/sports teams who came out to visit. They hung out with us at rec center areas, did some dances, it’s whatever.  Nice. They asked us Army ladies how we got our long hair to stay up and pretty, makeup tips for the heat HAHA it was funny given the fact of where we were.  

 

Okay. Keep in mind men and women work together in the military and hookups are not limited to these morale shows and groups.

 

Military folks are pretty hot, and have a crazy jobs. Add young fit people mixed with invincibility complex, throw in some civilians/cheerleaders who are also young and fit and fabulous and you have yourself firework central. Is it out of control? No. But people who wanted to get down would certainly have access and the time, and not just cheerleaders who are just enjoying their time as much as we did. 

 

As for “angry” military wives, this is very much a thing as are the gossipy ones who actually make up stuff like this to belittle or ruin another woman’s life out of nothing but jealousy.  Not kidding, not being anti-women, it is like this in certain units.   Witnessed false reporting ALL the time and it’s a known and joked about subject.  Even if a cheerleader slept with an entire unit, who cares. I’m glad she did, get it girl, her body her orgasms, stop hating 😂. If the dudes were married, that’s on their sorry asses. Had there been a real basis to this, that is not enough to stop a USO show.  

 

If you all knew what happened when there AREN’T cheerleaders around, it would be the sluttiest reality TV of all time.  Of. All. Time. Go Army Beat Navy😜😜😜 😂😂😂

thank you! First thank you for your family's service, and 2 for explaining how it's not a big deal for young, hot people needing to blow off steam to hook up. I don't care if it is DCC, co workers, somebody you meet out, etc., it's going to happen a lot to that 18-30 crowd of single people. 

I'm glad you got to hang with some cheerleaders and had a good time, too. 

Although I am amazed at how shocked some on here are over just now figuring out the favoritism and lack of fairness, Cassie is not nearly as powerful as she is made out to be.

So I know I can be petty on here and cause some drama..I have 2 warning points to show for it bahaha. So I will say this as southern sweet as possible

However, this is the last time I will be speaking on Cassie  ........EVER AGAIN 

I have watched the show from the Vh1 special up until present. However from season 4-9 I had to go back an watch over these past couple of years, because I was in school during those seasons and never had time to watch during the summer do to being a Comp/College Athlete.

SIDE NOTE:  I always love watching "reality" shows where the winners actually go on and do things with their winnings. This is why I love this show

Now, To be fair I was a fan of Cassie no booty/two left feet self during her rookie season when it first aired..The Mother Daughter Story was really sweet.

SIDE NOTE 2: I want to add that I am also younger than Cassie by like half Decade so I was in middle school and very oblivious to unfair situations. I always had to work my butt off for spots due to people knowing who my family was...so I never had it easy ever, I thought the same for her so I was proud of her. However, as I grew up I realized she got many opps not do to her talent but her name  = nepotistic mindsets already set in stone. 

Now to get back to the series and the life of Cassie as a DCC..Like I said I was happy when she made the team all those years ago.  However, as I have gotten older and have seen a little more of the world and the unfair opps that one can get over another. I went back to watch the seasons that she was on after her rookie season. From those viewings  I have realized that it was a farce of a situation that all the other DCC girls on the squad had to deal with. When competing against her I mean the sly comments, the eye rolls, the terrible dancing...and yet she got Show Group, GL Spots, Triangle Pos. All things only for the Best of the Best which she never was...

 

Cassie Trammel deserved Zero of what she got, she was very untalented in the dance spectrum and her looks/personality left a lot of negativity in my mind. In shows and games she always brought down the momentum/wow factor whenever she had a spotlight moment. Also, the bullying that she did over her 5 year stint was nasty like not even Regina George would stoop so low. I know many of the Iconic DCCs only dealt with her so they didn't get into trouble from having a drink...While she was tailgating around doing who knows what, because her mommy protected her. To add Judy Trammel has always rubbed me the wrong way and the tea through the Cowboy World is she is a true B-I-*-C-H to work with and not kind to any of the DCCs unless they kiss her booty. Its all a front for the TV the sweet crying she does..I have noticed sometimes even when girls break down she seems very cold and like she is above everyone.

I am not attacking anyones opinion on this manner..However Cassie will never be in my good graces and neither will her mother who has been such a hypocrite throughout the process of choosing the team and stars. I mean she went after Yuko dancing...Yuko could dance circles around Cassie Trammel and her knockedkneed self. 

I am ready to let The TRAMMEL ARC die and let it go ahahahah. This is my peace post hahaha XOXOXO

The military wife who was upset was likely someone who held a position of authority in the company's FRG or Family Readiness Group. It's fairly common for the Commander's wife to hold the leader position or have a role in the group. The purpose of the FRG is to ensure the entire unit is taken care of and this includes single soldiers and their families living away from the installation. If I was tasked with overseeing a military sponsored event and this happened, you better your last dollar my butt would be in front of the base commander in seconds to report it. It has nothing to do with slut shaming and the soldier would be in equal amount of trouble. Even the appearance of impropriety makes the unit as a whole look bad.

I know we like to think of the military as men and women simply defending our freedoms, but it's also it's own society with customs, values and expectations that the civilian world doesn't understand or is privy too. This type of incident could ruin a soldiers career regardless of whether or not the service member was married.

And let us not forget, adultery is a CRIME in the military and punishable under the UCMJ.

I hope that by the time auditions roll around she is in shape and stays in shape in a healthful way.  I can just see the pressure from herself and others to maintain a slim figure.  I don't want to see her starving herself or working out for hours.

My hope for VK is to expand her interests, but since that isn't happening, I do hope she comes back to auditions healthier than she did the first time. She isn't the best dancer in the world, but she's certainly not the worst and didn't seem to struggle with the style too much---if she can stay in shape and be a better teammate, she shouldn't have any issues making the team.

Hmmm. . . . I wonder what happened to that road_to_dcc girl, Hannah.  She posted a decent amount after she moved to Dallas, but nothing in months and now nothing.  I wonder what happened to the girl who'd posted her solo when she got cut from Semis then not only deleted it, but changed to a private Instagram account when she didn't get all praise, sympathy, likes, etc.  I get being raw because you thought you should have gone further, but didn't but that's also not the time to put yourself out there for critiques because the emotions ARE raw and things that one would normally take in stride are magnified by the raw emotions (critiques usually cut deeper and the praise doesn't seem as good, but that just might be me).

I have to say VK looks great and more fit in those Cowboys Fit videos. Much more toned, however, she still might just be too big framed to be a DCC. Like she still looks like very trim and probably not bigger than a size 6 or 8 on bottom at the most, but DCC are just so TEENY TINY now, she still looks bigger than the current look. 

I don't know if it is physically possible for her to get the build they want, which is too bad.

I agree with you that VK looks more toned. It appears that she is working hard on the fitness side of the equation; it's likely the nutrition side where she struggles. As someone who has worked in the fitness industry for 12 years, her body appears (I say "appears" because I don't know her and it would be unfair to diagnose) to be in shape from a physical activity standpoint, but the excess bulk will only go away with a controlled eating regimen.

The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if VK's storyline hasn't been manufactured in some way so she can be a spokesperson/ambassador for Cowboys Fit. What better way to sell memberships to their exclusive fitness club than through promoting a young woman who used the club to get in shape and wound up becoming a DCC?

I totally get what you're saying and agree, however, I am also saying if your frame is meant to be a size 10, no matter how fit you are, you won't be a size 2. Think of like Serena Willaims or somebody - not that VK is that muscular and large framed as Queen Serena - but no matter what Serena does, she ain't gonna be a size 2, so if the job requirement is measurements of a size 2, it is just not possible. Does that make sense?

Anyone ever take a Classics course in college?  This reminded me of the Vestal Virgins in  Ancient Rome.  Long story short, the vestals were required to retain their virginity until after they "retired" and if anyone sullied them, the man would be executed and the virgin would be buried alive.  Okay, I'm overthinking here.

Yep, you make perfect sense. VK does have a larger frame than the average DCC, so you may very well be right... In spite of her hours spent at Cowboy Fit, and even if she does get her nutrition on track, she may not have the right type of body for the job. It will be interesting to see if Kelli Finglass makes an exception and puts her on the squad anyway next season.

If VK can get her stomach flat, I think she'll be fine. Erin stands out to be as someone who has a wider frame, but a flat stomach. VK may be marginally wider overall, but it's the hanging stomach over shorts that was the biggest issue for Kelli I think.

Let's lighten things up in here, shall we? My daughter went to DCC camp yesterday at the Star, and it was a blast! The girls are so nice (and skinny!) and I got so many great pics and videos. Favorites were Miranda, Briana, Jinelle, Kelli, Maddie, and Savannah!

Mutant, really? Yea, she had a roll going over her form fitting shorts during training camp last year & she has a large mouth & teeth, but I'd love to be a "mutant" like her (could do without last year's obnoxious personality though).

Well let me be very clear!!!

I DO NOT think Misty Copeland is fluffy!!!!!  I think she is gorgeous and has overcome so much adversity, including not having a body for a prima ballerina (She even said this is her documentary.)  That is the only reason I was comparing her to VK.  Others here may think she is too big since she does not appear as though she needs a cheeseburger and chocolate shake like a few of the DCC.

I love Misty Copeland.

Now that VK is getting her body in better shape, I hope she goes to another dance teacher who will give her critical feedback concerning her out of control dancing & lack of finishing movements. Then she needs to take lots of hip hop classes & show them at auditions a hip hop dance. Lastly, someone to mentor her concerning smoothing out her rough edges & helping her mature.

I so enjoy seeing the DCC teaching young girls and giving them positivity. Thanks for posting these.
