Jefferson is forced to watch as all his good work is undone before his eyes when his replacement arrives and begins implementing sweeping changes. Meanwhile, Anissa continues to play Robin Hood by stealing from one of the most powerful crime syndicates in Freeland.

Was that Tori's grave Tobias was visiting?

I think so.. Or their mom maybe... I'm guessing he turned himself in for some reason

Anissa and Gambi together are always a hoot.  I loved when Gambi was all "Well, yeah, I'll likely tell your father what's up, but I'll help you complete your mission first before I rat you out!"  Gambi always knows how to play both sides!

Even in just one scene, P.J. Byrne is already making me want Lowery to fall hard.  Or at least find a way for Jefferson to zap him for no reason.

I like that Henderson is still willing to work with Black Lightning, even if he's still clearly upset that Jefferson hid this from him.

Lynn's got herself stuck with a crazy doctor!  I don't see this ending well.

The teen Khalil use to to be does still seem to be in there, but does Jefferson have any chance of bringing him back or is he under Tobias' thumb for good?

Speaking of which, I have to think Tobias set himself up on purpose.  What is his game, here?

Why was this episode titled: Master Lowry? He made a very brief appearance. I guess he's being rewarded for being a dick!

Dr. Jace. You got 10 kids to lose their feet and one died, besides that little whoops, you are qualified for the team but you won't be friends with Lynn. Welcome!

I dont know why.. But I have hope for Dr.  Jace... Or at least I don't think she'll be horrible.. Maybe a Grey character that has an impact on Lynn who while awesome is a bit black and white... Khalil may still be somewhere in there.. But isn't he gonna be in charge now... I dunno if he escaped the life... Loved Jennifer and her therapist.. And Uncle Gambi and Anissa who bit the bullet and apologized for ghosting grace... Another strong epi.. I love how it feels every week that were just peeking in on lives that are constantly happening and are dynamic

Another solid episode. Tobias has to be plotting something. No way does he go down that easy.

First episode where I saw some of the old Khalil. Might be hope for him yet.

Anissa playing Robin Hood can't do anything but end terribly. I need her to stop ASAP.

Even with the super hero craziness, the Pierce family are so awesome.

I am still waiting for Anissa's actions to bite her in the rear. The fact that she is still using her Thunder powers means the bad guys will eventually get a clue and realize just who is robbing them.

Khalil IMO has officially become painkiller.  Yes, he nearly killed Jeff but he got a reprieve when Jeff was revived.  Now he has to live with the fact that he actually did kill someone. I believe that with Khalil even if he gets out from under Tobias thumb, he will stay as Painkiller because he has nothing else.  He has pretty much destroyed his life and may feel there is no going back.

Tobias is up to something.  I was a bit distracted. Did we ever see what was in that envelope the dirty cop gave him?  I half expected all the officers to get taken out as they were arresting Tobias. I like Henderson so I am glad that did not happen.

Principal Lowry did not impress me and it was only one scene.  I have been wondering what being in this position will do to Lynn.  I really hope she does not lose herself along the way trying to do the right thing and helping those kids.  She already compromised in this episode working with someone who to put it mildly is questionable.

Huh. I thought Khalil was getting more hardened and after killing that dude, snitched on Whale because he didn't like being called Tobias's "bitch." Goes to show people just pick up on different details.

I was wondering if the grave was Syonide's -- that he put her in a family tomb, because he seems to be grieving her pretty hard.

Jennifer is a much better woman than I am because if a total stranger followed me through the park and called me by my name, I'd at best run and at worst beat the crap out of her. And if I had dangerous powers I couldn't quite control, that woman would likely be dead for scaring the heck out of me. (And I am a Quaker, I do not condone violence. I've just had scary interactions with strangers in parks, and I'm jumpy.) Mind, I liked Perenna in the following scenes and like that Jennifer is getting super-therapy, but her parents were stupid to set it up that way and could have been responsible for a terrible tragedy if their first meeting had gone poorly.

I wish a woman would chat me up the way Anissa talks to women she likes. Man she is confident and charming.

I know, right?  I love Anissa though and can't blame her.  She's a fighter for change and what's right and she can do a lot more now and damn it she's going to do it.  I really enjoyed her team up with Uncle Gambi and laughed when she asked of the bad guys "why do they all have ponytails"?   I also really liked her scene with Jenn - they have a great, comfortable sisterly vibe while being two unique and interesting people.

I'm hoping that Jefferson and Lynn didn't quite realize that Perenna was going to follow Jenn and then transport her to some kind of dream/other reality place, because yeah, not smart, esp with Jenn having dangerous powers she can't really control.  I am glad we got past that so that Jenn has someone to talk with.

I like what they're doing with Khalil - I'm on the fence with him right now as far as does he want to be good or bad.  I really liked his scene with Jenn last week.  It was a mistake for Jefferson to say to him that his life was better in the wheel chair.   Yes, I understand his point, but it wasn't YOU in that chair, Jefferson.  I thought that was a misstep on his part, though I liked him trying to get through to Khalil and of course he responded perfectly when Khalil threatened his family.

There's a lot going on this season but I like it.

"Ah, Mr. Pierce. It'll be good to work with you. I hope you don't mind the metal detectors too much. I mean, if you had down your job,, I wouldn't be here to have them installed." DAMN. Yeah, I'm rooting for a megavolt comeuppance for Mr. Lowry. I know there are a lot of TV principals between him and the bottom, but he looks poised to go there quickly. I think the worst would be -- off the top of my head -- Armin Shimmerman (Quark, Stan the Caddy) in Buffy. Dude got devoured in the season finale by the Mayor (IIRC), and that was a good moment.

As much of  headache as Jennifer looks to be under "normal" circumstances, I can't blame her for lashing out this week. "Jennifer? Hey, I'm a friend of your father. Lets go into the Matrix!!!" That is shit you just don't spring on someone.

Once again, Nissa is supposed to be the smarter daughter (or at least the bigger overachiever), and she's not playing the "Robyn Hood" game very smart. The ba guys will put two and two together eventually.

Yeah, I'm thinking Tobias has a plan. Letting the police nab you is taught in the second week of Master Criminal 101.

Yeah, it seems odd she hasn't considered this.  Criminals are being robbed and the reverend suddenly has enough cash to pay off all of his bills?  Sure, most criminals are idiots who can't shoot straight but there are a few smart ones out there.

I'm hoping Lowry is just an oblivious dick as opposed to a racist scumbag.  It's realistic for someone to arrogantly walk into a situation like that without malicious intent - ideally he'll be brought down a peg or two and end up consulting Jefferson.

Dang, Lynn ended up with Doctor Poison or some such person as a lab partner! Dr. Jace could be an interesting character for Lynn to interact with, especially if she turns out to be more morally grey than just straight up evil. Either why, this should give her someone fun to play off of. Just watch those feet!

I dont blame Jenn for being pissed about her parents sending Perrena after her like that! Give a girl a heads up before sending her into the Matrix! But, besides that, she seems really cool, and I am excited to see Jenn start to come into her own with her powers. Even if she doesn't want to become a superhero, it would be great if she just had some basic control at least.

I dont know what will happen with Khalil right now, but he is an interesting wild card to throw into the mix. I see glimpses of the nice kid who once was, but also of the cold blooded version who we keep seeing now. I couldn't tell if he was shaken by knocking that guy off the railing, or was hardening to killing.

I always love Anissa and Uncle Gambi scenes, they have such a fun energy to them. "Why do they all have ponytails?" However, I dont see this Robin Hood stuff ending well at all. Anissa is super passionate and wants to make the world a better place, and now that she has powers, she just sees a way to do that. Which is great, but can also lead to problems, like last season when she destroyed that Confederate statue after the young activist was killed, and ended up accidentally causing even more issues. I am worried that she is going to fall hard in the near future. I dont think that a bit of hand shaking and victory posing hurts, but you dont wanna push it, and I think she is.

I don't think she cares if the drug dealers she's ripping off know it's her. She's not ashamed of her vigilante activities, and she wouldn't mind if the local criminals were afraid of or in awe of her. It's not like they'd ever NOT be her enemy, so I don't think she's trying to hide that it's "Thunder" who's doing the Robin Hood act. I don't know why she doesn't wear her fancy suit, but she doesn't really seem to need it, so maybe it's just not worth it to her. Jefferson's suit seems to help him function, it's wired up with cameras and comms and whatever else.

I'm not saying she won't run into trouble. But I don't think she's actually worried that the thugs will know it's "Thunder"-- she may actually want them to fear her. She's kicking their asses.

I wonder if Pereena uses her metahuman powers on everyone she counsels. Is she a telepath?  If so she could possess a large array of powers.  She does not appear to be intimidated by Jennifer’s powers.

Anissa smh , no one is sitting around waiting to give up hundreds of dollars.  The retaliation is coming , and they take the act of theft as an insult.   They will not be satisfied with Anissa being arrested, tried and serve a prison sentence.  They want to find her, possibly get their money back and then kill her.  Or worse, find out her true identity and blackmail her into working for them.  If they could use Thundarr against rivals, thet could gain at the same time theirs rivals loose.
